“Speak only if it improves upon the silence.”  … Mahatma Gandhi

There is perfection in silence that many have never known in our world of noise and endless chatter. Being still and silent gives power to hearing, so be silent to hear in all three realms, be silent to hear your own heart, be silent to hear the hearts of those you love, and be silent to hear the heart of the Lord.

Yes. We must learn to be silent ourselves-

"Be still, and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10

If we expect to hear the Lord's voice-

"And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice." 1 Kings 19:12

:)Proverbs 16:23...a great scripture in 4 versions

King James Bible
The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.

Christian Standard Bible
The heart of a wise person instructs his mouth; it adds learning to his speech.

Contemporary English Version
You can persuade others if you are wise and speak sensibly.

Good News Translation
Intelligent people think before they speak; what they say is then more persuasive

Some say that God gave us two ears and only one mouth for a reason.

So that we could do more listening and less spouting off at the mouth :taped:

We should always pray before we speak, asking the following:

1903800941_beforeyouspeakthinkasathreadingeneral.jpg.adbb34ae72927aeaf8011c10885696a6.jpg

"Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God." (James 1:19-20)

Any input including scriptures about this are welcome.

You're very right in what you said TT. In fact, this is 1 of today's biggest problems. Most people hurt others constantly with their words & too many people are seeking to make themselves feel better when they speak. The real sad part is many claim to be Christians, this should never include us. Bravo for bringing this issue up.

The glory of the Gospel is that whosoever believes in Jesus Christ is under the sanctuary of the blood of Jesus Christ.

That's why Jesus calls sinners to faith, or everyone as they are...

So they, as they are,  can take a look at them selfs and wonder at the power of the Cross, the accomplishment of the  work of Jesus Christ..

As they are he covers them with his blood, so they never have to fear spiritual death as long as they believe.

Jesus is our peace with God and our Heavenly inheritance and our eternal life...

As he is , so are we.

This make us work on our own righteousnes without the fear if we do not do it , we will end up in Hell...There are other consiquenses to deal with eventually, and some times too many and very grievious and beyond that we can bear.. some times early , and some times later, and sometimes we are spared.

but Hell is not one of them...Jesus who died for us is our Judge, and he cannot denied the power of his blood.

And if someone says; the devil believes and is not saved, needs to take a very careful look in his own heart...

Unless he, she has not known that Jesus came in the form of a servant, and not in the form of a Serpent, to save mankind and Judge the Serpent kind...

Salvation is only for mankind. Heaven is inherited by Jesus and  those who believe in his death and resurection..

PS

I have come to understand the  importance of repentance, and I do not want anything else.

But it was a time I did not, living my own way, in my own darkness , but as a believer...in Jesus Christ.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
