We have evil in our world. Evil does not come from God. We can not blame God for all the evil in our world. Evil comes from Satan. Someday evil will be banished. God will triumph. We can know that God is with us.

The question everyone is asking is why create the devil, and if one says he started out good, why not destroy him once he rebelled?  Why wait?

This is a good question.  I can only speculate.  To give creation free choice to choose the Lords way or rebel, there is a compromise where rebels know their fate, yet they are an example of where this leads.

Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire to be tortured for all eternity.

Gods heart is not to force loyalty and praise, but to show behaviour that deserves loyalty and praise.  As in Job, the Lord takes pleasure is Jobs righteous behaviour and love for Him.  He is looking for people who love God for who He is, and know the life that comes from His ways and His commands, not in legalism but in love.

And why create creation and bring about this split?  Because there is no other way to create a creation that chooses to follow the Lord, rather than a creation that is dictated to follow the Lord.

This fallen world belongs to Satan......for now...It’s a miracle that anything GOOD happens! Maybe the question should be “ why does anything good happen in a world that is under the rule of Satan?”

The Truth of the matter is revealed in the Book of Job.Why do bad things happen? It’s none of our business. We are to trust God, not question Him.....after all , as He asked— “ where were you when I hung the planets?”

Because it could help us grow? only thing I can think of. That, and without sin there would be no law.

I believe it is necessary that good and evil remain to complete God's plan in the Bible and then evil will be destroyed.  I can't think of anything else that fits.  Only God knows for sure.

I am not troubled by it,  but it is understandable people will have these questions.

I'm saying this probably from a heart filled with grief right now...

@diane32 Dear sister, it takes courage to speak in the midst of your grief as you have. I am so sorry :(for your pain. Yet it blesses my heart that you choose to walk by faith, not sight. I commend you for not giving in to the negative (thoughts and feelings that I do understand.)

But I know God's plan was always and is always good it's us who are evil and we don't understand everything and we won't understand everything because we aren't God but we have to trust Him and what it says in His word and I know all this and I know God sending Jesus was the most humbling amazing loving merciful thing ever to be done and it truly is amazing beyond what we can comprehend

I am touched and inspired by the beautiful simplicity here. You rightly state that the blame belongs with sinful humans not our loving God. Sadly, the tragic things in this life can't be done away with as long as humans have free will. (God didn't want us to be robots.) The beauty of being able to choose brings with it the ugliness of some choosing evil.

You reminded us that God showed His love in the most wonderful way by sending His only begotten Son to give us a way out of this madness. Our hope is in Him.

But yes, it is heartbreaking when our loved ones who are unsaved seem trapped in darkness. It helps me to take comfort in the thought that God wants them saved even more than we do. 1 Timothy 2:4 says, "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

Hugs :emot-hug:and prayers for you at this difficult time of loss. And thanks again for this honest post.

Consider the lyrics to this song.

                                                                                                                  "Blessings"

                                                                                                                 Laura Story

We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
And all the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if Your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your word is not enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe

'Cause what if Your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not
This is not our home
It's not our home

'Cause what if Your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near

What if my greatest disappointments or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise

I don't know I am not God. I sure He has a purpose for that.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
