John 17 around verse 28.. Jesus prayed for him to be in us and his salvation for all those who believe the message he gave his diciples to give to the world.

So to me personally. For His prayer to be a prayer to be answered for someone personally. They probably need to hear the diciples out and believe them..

I straight up do not believe in the Roman road, salvation fast food delivery service. I have seen way to many people locked in that man made comtrol system destroyed by their sin and completly powerless over tbeir flesh in that faith (Not all but many). Because it pretty much gets "some" people to disregard the diciples message and mis out on the power of Jesus's pray for us while he was here in the world.

I think you have to hear a person out before you can fully decide if you completley  believe them.

So in my, follow the instruction recieve the promise understandings. If you hear the diciples out and believe them. Jesus recorder his prayer and it is for you, and for your salvation.

And I know God answers Jesus's prayers. And that is the only prayer I have seen from him that is specifically, personally prayed for you or me for anyone to be given His Spirit and it for those that believes his diciples.

So if you want to reject this diciples message or that diciples message because they are not talking to you. Right there in John 17;28ish Jesus is talking to God about you if you want to be born again by his Spirit and have Christ in you, which is our hope to share in his glory. Jesus is telling you right there who to listen to and believe.

So many people just shuffle right past John 17:3 seeking eternal life by this formula or that formula, offering this hack into Christ and that hack into Christ, seeking to know a doctrin(teaching of man) instead of seeking to know God which is our eternal life. Christ in us making God our Father known to us.

Personally  I prefer Johns gospel. This is personal relation ship meets the road. Jesus came to take our sins on Himself for our salvation. But that was not His whole mission. It's not just about going to the cross for us but  He must also be in us. He told His disciples " it is expedient that I go away for if I don't go away the Holy Spirit will not come. He also said that The Holy spirit is with you but he shall also be in you. Jesus could not have stayed here to be our earthly Messiah. We must have His spiritual connection. This is not just going to church as  good church people do, but he must be living in our hearts to teach us to be more like Christ. This is a full time work 24-7. As much as we needed Christ at the cross we need a life changing experience. one that prevails to the end. Though I prefer John try reading Matt 13:1: 23. also in mark and Luke. The sower of the seed.

I believe and recieve all of them from Christ. I like to prepare the full banquet. not the dried out hamburger patty slap it on your plate for you and call it the meat.

A little effort never hurt anyone.

To be honest, I never thought of which gospel was best for unbelievers, until this topic's question was posted. It seemed like in the past, many well-seasoned Christians referred towards the Gospel of John for some reason. It's my personal favorite as well. It is interesting to read the preference of all the others here, and the reason why they do, however.

I would suggest Matthew....The first thing the unbeliever needs to see is the Truth. He is a sinner headed for Hell like a bullet....He needs a wake up call! He needs to read the biggest Hell -Fire  and Brimstone Sermon ever given , namely, The Sermon On The Mount. You know—- If you so much as look at a woman with lust you are as guilty as an adulterer. You need to pluck out your eyes,etc......If this is not enough to grab your immediate attention....you are hopeless. This is your chance to realize that you have been living in Satan’s Fool’s Paradise( I May not be perfect , but I’m OK ,I’m good enough to go to Heaven)The first step in Christianity is seeing that you are a helpless, hopeless sinner that must have a Savior. You need what the world would call a “ lightbulb moment”.......I believe Matthew is the best place to be confronted with the decision that will determine your Eternal Fate —- come to the Light, or remain In darkness. Why waste time? Let’s get to the nitty-gritty as soon as possible.Matthew is in-your- face bad news.Until you see yourself as the lost person that you are.....You will have no appetite for the Good News that will save you.

In Bible college, they taught the Gospel of John is the best for unbelievers or new Christians since it stresses the deity of Christ.

Yes,  (that) The false gospel is by far the most common gospel for unbelievers.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
