We are not under the ten commandments.

I'm not a dogmatic legalistic person, but if any aspect of God's word applies to our lives, we should by all means embrace it. All ten of the first given of the Great Commandments are yet extremely relevant for both Jewish and Gentiles who also believe. And still, Jesus did give another commandment here.

John 13:34 34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  KJV,

John 15:12 12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  KJV

If you use it the way God intended.  The law is to shut our mouths and admit our guilt. But now as born again people we live by the spirit. We love Jesus and obey his word. Put to death the deeds of the old man and put on the new man created in the likeness of christ.

You make claims about things in the Bible all the time that are not there or out of context.  I am not falling for it.  I know that God can give grace to overcome sin.  I know that nobody can continue in constant rebellion and go to heaven.  There won't be unrepentant rapists and murderers in heaven.

You aren't exactly teaching things that are profound.  They are just wrong.  If you do not go around with a filthy mind, your whole arguement that we can't help but sin goes out the window.  If you are going around with filthy thoughts all day and can't stop sinning, that indicates you aren't right with God and are only fooling yourself.  You lose either way.

You have testified you have filthy thoughts and sin all day long.  It shouldn't be that way.

I can only testify of myself.
I am saved. Born of the spirit.
I love the Lord. God is light. All His promises are true.
I agree with God, and, I am NOT going to call God a LIAR!
                      I sin.
and, so does everybody else reading this.
It's why we have an advocate. (that every body needs )
Give it a break.
Many years back talking with other older solid Christians , about sin, and 'filthy/terrible thoughts coming from out of nowhere',
I learned that every normal Christian man is plagued with temptations and sinful thoughts, if honest with themselves. Or others.
I know what sin is.
Missing the mark. The target (rule/command) God has set for me. And you.
To know a good/better thing to do, and not do it, is a miss! (easily missed target) Think about that.
The better I aim, the more targets I hit, but then, the more tough targets appear.
Like, I found out;   "You mean I can't even think about that any more!!!"
I'm in training now, about forty years, in God's army.
I have read the training book, and know the 'rules/commands' OK?
As a veteran soldier in God's army, I try (in Christ) to hear/do His will. But, still have wounds.
The more I take up the cross, unfurl the flag, step up to the battles, the more I'm wounded,
the more I stumble and fall. Missed targets! Sin. The spiritual WAR is what I'm talking about.
If I'm really on my toes, and grab all the thoughts, I'm confessing sin all day long.
What did the chiefest one say about that?
Just like one honest person here has admitted up stream. And it's a spiritual battle.
I believe I have become extremely more sensitive to the 'targets' day by day, and acquiring 'deeper' insight
into the 'mind of Christ', concerning a better (doing the right thing/righteousness) walk, those subtle
thoughts/imaginings constant overwhelmingly creating snares.
When fasting (assuming you do)  to show rule over flesh, do you notice how a tiny morsel can taste so wonderful.
Try fasting from loosing your cool here on Worthy. Like a thought "aw, I need to set that guy straight"
It's obvious to me, someone here is doing as God's command says for us to do;

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

To address the works/gift issue .
My sins have no power of loss over the gift of salvation from my Savior.
But I will have loss, of my relationship to my God.
It is an ongoing battle.....(if your in the fight)

We should try to be kind.
Everyone you meet is fighting a battle,
you know nothing about.

The scripture in James 5,shows this is one erring from the truth:

if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

So we need to be converted as Christ taught us and for the new covenant:

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Psalm 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Then we need to be cleansed from all unrighteousness, not to return to it..

2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

You repeatedly state that 'nothing but the Blood saves....yet you give no scripture.   ROM 5v10 seems to say that the death/shedding Blood of Jesus is our RECONCILING to God but we are SAVED by His LIFE - NOT His death/Blood. Seems His death has one purpose and His resurrection another.  Reconciliation is NOT Salvation !

Thank God, my sins are on the Cross....anything this easy just “ has” to be sinful.?...

The phrase “blood of Christ” is used several times in the New Testament and is the expression of the sacrificial death and full atoning work of Jesus on our behalf. References to the Savior’s blood include the reality that He literally bled on the cross, but more significantly that He bled and died for sinners. The blood of Christ has the power to atone for an infinite number of sins committed by an infinite number of people throughout the ages, and all whose faith rests in that blood will be saved.

The reality of the blood of Christ as the means of atonement for sin has its origin in the Mosaic Law. Once a year, the priest was to make an offering of the blood of animals on the altar of the temple for the sins of the people. “In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). But this was a blood offering that was limited in its effectiveness, which is why it had to be offered again and again. This was a foreshadowing of the “once for all” sacrifice which Jesus offered on the cross (Hebrews 7:27). Once that sacrifice was made, there was no longer a need for the blood of bulls and goats.

The blood of Christ is the basis of the New Covenant. On the night before He went to the cross, Jesus offered the cup of wine to His disciples and said, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you” (Luke 22:20). The pouring of the wine in the cup symbolized the blood of Christ which would be poured out for all who would ever believe in Him. When He shed His blood on the cross, He did away with the Old Covenant requirement for the continual sacrifices of animals. Their blood was not sufficient to cover the sins of the people, except on a temporary basis, because sin against a holy and infinite God requires a holy and infinite sacrifice. “But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins” (Hebrews 10:3). While the blood of bulls and goats were a “reminder” of sin, “the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:19) paid in full the debt of sin we owe to God, and we need no further sacrifices for sin. Jesus said, “It is finished” as He was dying, and He meant just that—the entire work of redemption was completed forever, “having obtained eternal redemption” for us (Hebrews 9:12).

Not only does the blood of Christ redeem believers from sin and eternal punishment, but “His blood will make our consciences pure from useless acts so we may serve the living God” (Hebrews 9:14 NCV). This means that not only are we now free from having to offer sacrifices which are “useless” to obtain salvation, but we are free from having to rely on worthless and unproductive works of the flesh to please God. Because the blood of Christ has redeemed us, we are now new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and by His blood we are freed from sin to serve the living God, to glorify Him, and to enjoy Him forever.

Here are ten things accomplished by the Blood......there are more

1.      It remits sins (Matt. 26:28).

2.      It gives life to those who consume it (John 6:53).

3.      It causes us to dwell in Christ and He in us (John 6:56).

4.      It is the means by which Jesus purchased the church (Acts 20:28).

5.      It is the means by which Jesus becomes our atonement through faith (Rom. 3:25).

6.      It justifies us and saves us from wrath (Rom. 5:9).

7.      It redeems us (Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Rev. 5:9).

8.      It brings those who were far away from God near to Him (Eph. 2:13).

9.      It grants us the forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:14).

10.    It brings peace and reconciliation to God (Col. 1:20).

Yes of course the blood cleanses our sins, but you know there is more to the work of Christ than this...right?

The old nature needed to be dealt with....born from above, etc.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
