Hi Alex44

Are you asking if it is okay to use your money to fund resources such as books, videos, music to enhance your Christian life?  This would not effect salvation. You could spend your money on a hobby or buying non essentials and still be saved. When God tells us not to love money, it is to put your trust, belief and confidence in money to meet your needs rather than seeking God and trusting Him.

Alex, the Love of Money is the root of all evil, Not the Money itself. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (matthew 6;24)

The Word mammon in the above verse Means "Wealth personified", Just like Jesus is the Truth personified, Wealth and our confidence in wealth "personifies Money", and we begin to love and trust this money for our well being. When we do this we fall victim to denial that we need God to provide for us, and this denial of the need for God is symptomatic of the Laodicean church age we are living in.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Rev. 3:17)

Do You see the denial of need in this verse, and the culprit, riches? Here is the solution. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (Rev. 3:18)

Using your money to increase your love for the Bible is a good thing, But even that can become a reliance on money. we can buy the best degrees, and best biblical resources, and best study bibles out there, But the Best teacher we cannot pay for and He is the Holy Ghost. He must be your teacher, and the one you rely on to increase your love for the Bible. When He does begin to teach you, the Word of God will become "alive". You will know when this happens for the Word of God then begins to "read" you, cutting to the marrow. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Heb. 4:12)

God Bless.

No, you can possess money but the Bible says the love of money is evil. It can lead to greed and all kind of sins.

Luke 16:11

11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

for the clear distinction

Matt 6:24

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Salvation isn't from avoiding the love of money.

Salvation isn't from loving money.

Salvation isn't from loving the Bible.

Do you know what salvation comes from?

Are you saved?

Are you born again?

Have you trusted in Christ, and taken Him into your heart by Faith?

Do you remember when you did this, as this is your 2nd Birth

And if you did......then That is  the end of it.

You're SAVED.

Then next, you begin learning how to be a <>sold out/all in<> Son of God, or Daughter of God (Discipleship). You stay within this discovery process regarding how to be what God wants you to be...(Just Like Jesus).....So,  You  are always learning, and this learning takes a lifetime because we are ever learning how to be the truest disciple  of Christ we can become.   Paul the Apostle explained that this is achieve when He said.."It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me"....

This (conforming into Christ)  process never ends until we are dead or Raptured, and then we are finalized, we are completed by the Almighty...... with the end result being a new body and never-ending Joy we find in the Presence of Jesus The Christ.

This learning process, (Discipleship)  takes place all your life, BECAUSE you ARE saved.   But this process is not saving you...it is CONFORMING YOU........As its the Blood of Jesus that has ALREAD Saved you, when you were born again.

And after this, you try, we try, i try, our best, to be what God would have us to be.    If we fail, if we fall, if we don't, the Atoning Blood of Jesus is always the same, it saved us and it keeps us saved.

Test your self what is more important to you.

Attending church or earning money?

If the latter you have a problem.

Love of money is to use what is outermost to fill the inner most, but only the uppermost can do that.

There is nothing wrong with having money as a means to exchange energy, such as using money-energy to by food-energy. However, if one loves and/or fears money, then they cannot let it go. It is the grasping and hanging onto it as means of self-worth which keeps a person in bondage to this world.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
