A Children's book of Demons"

Okay. I have given myself a few days here and now and would like to get back on topic of this post.  I would like to address the original book in question.  "A Children's Book Of Demons".  First off, unless you(the OP) is asking if you would buy this book or not, I do not see as to why it should be brought up.  We live in a world full of sin. A world that does now know Jesus. So why are we surprised when we come across sinful things out there in the world?  Any one of use could fill this whole message forum with things that are  sinful. So unless you are unsure about something and asking your fellow Christians if something is okay or not, then I do not see the need to bring these things up.  I myself could post a "sinful" book, movie everyday and say "look at this!"  So yeah, sinful, dark things are out there. That is the world we live in. We do not have to buy them, read them or watch them.  Okay so with that out of the way I would like to address this book. Well I looked it up and this is what I think.  From what I can tell, the demons in the book are not real demons. They seem to me made up. With made up names such as flatulence who I guess farts a lot.  So could such a book lead a child to the dark side? I guess much would depend on how the child is raised by the parent.  Personally I would not buy this book for my child. I think there are far more better, more interesting books out there for children to read. Is it evil? I don't know it look rather silly to me. But I suppose that it could lead some unguided children down the dark path with the ideal that they could call on "real" demons to help them out in life, instead of calling on our Lord Jesus Christ.   I do not know a lot about the rituals of demon worship so I can not say for sure if this book is teaching that sort of thing. But it would be something that I would question and be cautious of. So again. No I would not buy this book for my child or any child. As it does bring this questions to my mind.

So that is my take on this. I hope I don't get bashed too much for what I wrote.  Good Day And God Bless.

I have more to add to my post. The book also seems to give the ideal that demons are playful and fun. Which we know as Christians is not so.  Allowing children to think that demons are fun, playful little helpers would not be a good thing. :o

There is a very interesting Youtube video on this book exposing it.  You should check it out

The love affair with cultism and the occult will continue to grow exponentially

if we in the Body Christian do not get OUR act together.

I agree with this, but I'm going to take it a step further. One topic we all love is, when will Jesus be coming back. And while I don't know, last year I heard the idea that Jesus won't be back until the number of saved people reaches a quota that only Our Father in Heaven knows. This means that spreading the gospel is the only way to hasten the Lord's return. Interesting huh?  So looking at disasters, wars & plagues won't help you figure out when Jesus might return. But spreading the gospel and helping those near salvation to get there will. And this is why we have to turn away from books & movies about devil stuff.

I type in the name of the book A Children's Book of Demons. The video is by DMTrip Report.  It is simple, short.  It comes up in Google as well as a video.

I put up a link to a youtube video, in the video section of the forums regarding the book.  I will be letting another mod listen through it before it is approved. If it isn't up yet, please be patient.

If you read about the author, he likes the occults and this particular book reflects that. It does NOT read like a novel or a childrens typical story book. This book is actually instructing readers to call upon a demon to take care of life's problems. Such as calling on a demon to take care of a bully in school. I have said this in my previous post in this thread.

edit: The video is up and in the "general video" forum.

I watched a couple of videos about this book. It's more than a book you can also buy a video game that features some of these demons. In the game they let kids think this is all make-believe and that you can defeat these demons. But we know that it's exactly by doing stuff like this that you will get demons in your life. And demons in your life is no fun at all.

So yeah, this book, game, and others like it are super dangerous.

I haven't joined in the thread so far because of the different views of the possibilities...    I generally check these thing out personally so I can advise our church with real first hand knowledge of the things.    I haven't posted because I can not find a copy of the book anywhere to purchase or read on line.  It isn't even in the book lists in Walmart and Amazon tells me that the book is not available at this time....   They will email me as soon as it is available....

I have a lot of experience in dealing with these creatures so it's not much of a danger to me.  I want to know first hand what to tell our children's pastors when the question comes up at church and this thread is a real classic example of why I have to see the things for myself.

If and when the book comes available I'll let you know.

Thank you. I wouldnt like my grandchildren exposed to danger.

if what little I have read about it that would be totally trustworthy, it sounds extremely dangerous to me....   but with things this important I really do like to know for sure.

I personally have not seen the Angel Cards so can't speak to those, but the Angel Board is nothing but a Ouija board that is fancied up to make the users think they are talking to angels...  and they really are talking to angels....   but not those who follow the Lord...   Ouija is what got me first introduced to the Occult that nearly cost me my soul     You can paint a pig pink, but it's still a pig....

Brother, it is easy to understand that he was trying to warn LadyKay that "it" is evil, meaning these books, movies, etc such as Harry Potter. He, nor anyone else, called a person evil.

Abby, I mentioned that because we received a report that the member was bullying in that post. The only thing could see there that seemed to possibly qualify, that the phrase I quoted could be construed as saying that LadyKay was evil, so I was just offering an opportunity for the author to address that with what was intended. Not everything that is clear to one person, is clear to all. If clarity was uniform, we would not have any theological arguments between Christians who read and believe the Bible.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
