When Satan, the “Accuser” brings up my countless sins to God, my Heavenly Father will respond , “ What sins ?” Why this gigantic Memory Lapse? It seems it was for selfish reasons.God said that He had Forgiven us all of our sins “ for His Own Sake”. It appears we had nothing to do with it.I guess it was something one does for those one loves. From start to finish, Christianity is ALL about Love.God loved us “while we were yet sinners.” We have been wonderfully blessed, all of us that have “ turned to Him.”

It's been repeated here on the forum --- one moment you're saved and then the next, you're not. You'll find this stance well-represented, @maryjayne. God's grace, to some, is entirely dependent upon the effort of the recipient in order to remain "valid." This flies in the face of what grace means --- unmerited favor --- because it throws "merit" into the mix. "Jubilee" is turned into a work release program... as long as the prisoners do their job they won't have to go back to prison.

"What can wash away my sin, nothing but the Blood of Jesus".

So,  commandment keeping, enduring to the end, trying to live holy, confessing sin, keeping the Torah, church membership, water baptism, etc,....NONE OF THIS  can  wash away your sin.

Therefore, if you are doing all this thinking that God will accept you as long as, and only as long as you DO, then you are trying to SAVE YOURSELF.

STOP !!!  GET OFF THE CROSS.   You're not worthy to be up there.   Believe it.

As a matter of fact, all that self righteous stuff can't even keep you from sinning.

There is One ne Savior, One Mediator, One Salvation, One GRACE of God, One Redeemer, One Cross, and all of this is the Gift of God and its Free and available to anyone and everyone who will give God their Faith in Christ.

God accepts nothing else and God requires nothing else, to ACCEPT YOU, SAVE YOU......and KEEP YOU.

And then there is this:

If someone goes out and murders somebody every day, why would the Lord forgive him before he stops murdering people?

Matthew 6 is for the remnant of Israel under covenant.

Does Jesus stipulate that? When Jesus issues a command, I feel I best obey.

Rom 10:12. It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”…

Consensus is a rare thing in New Testament scholarship, but if there is a scholarly consensus about anything, it is that Luke was perhaps the only Gentile writer in the New Testament. Sometimes scholars suggest that Luke was a Gentile because his Gospel reflects an interest in Gentiles, but, of course, so does Paul and no one argues that Paul was a Gentile. Others argue that Luke was most likely a Gentile because he wrote in excellent, fluid Greek, but, as anyone who has read him in Greek will attest, so too does Philo Judaeus, and no one argues that he was a Gentile.
But by far, the chief reason scholars argue for Luke’s being a Gentile is because of something Paul says in Colossians. Lea and Black, in their New Testament Introduction, voice the consensus when they write: “Luke is usually viewed as a Gentile Christian. In Colossians 4:10-11 Paul refers to Aristarchus, Mark, and Jesus Justus as Jewish believers. Later he sends greetings from Luke, apparently designating him as a Gentile.”

Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

This verse declares we have forgiveness for ALL sin, not as some say, only for sins we confess, and repent of.

God said it, I believe it, that settles it.  Some say only those sins that were not intentional are forgiven as well.  But that was the old testament pattern.  Hebrews tells us that we have a better covenant, a better high priest and a better sacrifice, all of which can forgive all our sins and give us a clean conscience.

Heb 10:10  And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.  Heb 10:11  And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

Heb 10:12  But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,  Heb 10:13  waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.  Heb 10:14  For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Heb 10:15  And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, Heb 10:16  "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds," Heb 10:17  then he adds, "I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more."

This is so fundamental. That means this Truth needs to be a metric by which we judge the many 'teachings' that come our way. Some of which sound very reasonable.

This being 'Truth'--what follows can inform us regarding a great many things.

Let him who hears, hear.

Everything that Paul wrote.      Start there, and don't take any left turns or U-Turns, and you'll end up right on target.

One of the best ways to deal with the NT is to recognize that the Entire bible, is a book of progressive revelation.

God, from Genesis till the last words in The Revelation,  is always progressing and changing (over time)  HOW He is dealing with the world, and that includes giving the world a NEW Covenant, that replaced the OLD Covenant.  This is why you have an OLD TESTAMENT and a NEW TESTAMENT.  And when a believer misunderstands the entire Bible as "just one thing"....without realizing or understanding the changes that God keeps making, right till the end of the Book, then this believer is going to be a Theological mess, until they recognize what i just told you.

So, when a Christian does not recognize ..>"Oh, i see, God CHANGED something here, that use to be .....like THAT"... then this Christian gets stuck in the weeds way off the track and becomes a real problem on Forums like this one.

Consider, the  changes and how they  are EXTREME for a person who goes from being a Christ Rejector, to a Born Again Believer....  And that Bible has extreme doctrinal changes that correspond to what, when, and who, its talking to depending on where you are reading, in it.

Let me give you 3 cases.    In the OT< before the Law, before Moses, you had "there is no transgression when there is no Law"..... Then the law (Moses) came and all were found "under the Law".......Then Christ came and died and rose again, and now HE has "removed the curse of the law" and the born again are now "not under the law but under Grace".

1. No Law

2. All Under Law

3. Under Grace

That took 4000 yrs of time for God to accomplish as He was dealing with mankind.

And once the Great Tribulation starts the RULES are going to change again....... And this is just more progressive revelation that the Bible is showing, explaining, and exposing, as you study it from cover to cover.

So, look at those 3.   That is God dealing with Man, in Genesis, then From Moses to the Cross, and now from The Cross to the Great Tribulation.     Those are extreme changes, and they are not the same.   And until a Believer finds a Teacher who can help them into the Revealed Light that is all about "rightly DIVIDING the Word", then that Believer is going to be a real problem on any Christian forum.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
