Talked to a friend and her significant other went to get a gun and said the lines were long. I also read about this in the news too --people purchasing guns.

Do people need to be this afraid?

Is it neglectful at this point to not have some form of protection with the way things are going?

Watching the news now and theyre saying individuals who worked in 2018 and made under 95k get 1200.  Im not sure how it'll play out with people knowing everyone will be getting a check in the mail.

Idk do you guys for see a possible surge in violence?

Blessings Figure of eighty

I've been watching the news & honestly I've not seen one single thing mentioned about long lines at gun shops & we have lot's of then here in Florida. Actually I don't understand why anyone would be prompted by a pandemic to go purchase a gun ,that sounds very strange to me,especially if they never had guns before(now that's a scary thought!!)

Being a supporter of our right to bear arms and being as experienced as I am in the safety, handling & use of a firearm I get the shivers just thinking about anyone buying a gun because of fear, that is a very bad reason   What are they afraid of?Are they going to shoot infected people if they get too close ?I mean what are they thinking?

You asked about a possible surge in violence, well yeah if theres a bunch of crazies out there buying guns that ought not be!lol   No seriously,I don't see how this would spark violence and most people these ddays don't have any cash anyways, cyber crimes are probably a bigger threat regarding the stimulous..I dunno, just sayin:noidea:

Human nature and relatively recent history answers those questions. If a segment of society will riot, loot and try to burn a city down over a sports game; or perceived injustices. What will they do about not wasting a good opportunity? If the welfare checks suddenly stop, if the shortages continue, some look for ways and means to take advantage of the 'haves'. One can expect a start and trend from a large city [i.e. the city of angels]. I've noticed people around here in a rural setting are becoming rude, impatient and self centered.

I believe the Korean's set a good example to follow during the L.A. riots. I'm a competitive shooter, fortunately during the previous two year gun and ammo shortage under Obama, I learned a lesson or two. If this virus gets worse; not to mention all the police departments letting many criminals back on the streets and not arresting anyone for anything less than murder. Do we expect crime and assault to decline or go up? Meth and crack heads don't work, there's hundreds of thousands of them, probably millions; how do they finance their expensive habits?

My ADT alarm went off at 2 A.M. some time ago, it took the Sheriff's dept. :45 minutes to get here. Not long ago I was awakened by someone trying to jimmy open my basement door [lots of meth heads around here]. Fortunately for he, she or them, they didn't get through the door. I didn't have to depend on an eight pack of Angel Soft or Charmin to throw at them if they gained entry.

During times of crisis or emergency, a persons chance of becoming a 'victim' in one way or another, exponentially increases. It's always better to be proactive rather than reactive during these periods.

That and give thanks in all things.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 English Standard Version (ESV)

Rejoice always,  pray without ceasing,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  Do not quench the Spirit.  Do not despise prophecies,  but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

I know that. But he did tell His disciples to arm themselves before sending them out, for protection against robbers and murders.

My question was for R. Hartono. I pray many times during the day and even at night, but I know I do not need to ask God for permission to leave my home or go on a picnic. God knows I have and will use common sense in dealing with any situation that may arise.

The disciples trusted God by faith for their protection not weapons.  when Peter drew a sword to defend Jesus, Jesus commanded him to put up the sword for all who live by the sword will perish by the sword.(faith and trust in Christ is the Key for Christians)

If Jesus wanted his disciples to use a real metal sword then he wouldn't of needed to correct Peter. He Jesus would have encouraged Peter to keep fighting while Jesus tried to make his escape.

(second comment)if you look at Christ statement about taking swords, when the disciples brought two swords to him. Jesus said 'it is enough' (I don't believe Christ meant two metal swords would be enough against a large band of soldiers who were sent to arrest him. Christ and all his apostles would have been slaughtered. )

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
