It came as a surprise to me to find out that some of you here are taking offense by my signature. Which happens to be a passage of scripture from the Book of Proverbs. This being a "Christian" message forum and all. I did not realize that when I picked a Bible verse for my signature, that some would take offense to this. I was going to leave Worthy all together and I may still do so. This is something I am still considering. But for now  I would like to explain just why I picked Proverbs 18:2 as my signature.

"Worthy Christian Forums" is in my view. A place to voice our opinions. It is not a "fact" based site. I do not come here to look for political facts or health facts or whatever.  It can have some facts if the person posting the thread wishes to include them. But no one is required to do that when they make a thread or a post. So  for the most part. If you want the real facts of a subject. You need to go search else where.  So it seem to me that at the time when I was deciding on a signature.  Proverbs 18:2 seem appropriate.

Proverbs 18:2 reads:  Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.

After all that is what we all are doing on this site. Airing our own opinions about this and that and whatever else. Proverbs 18:2 seem to be a good reminder that all of us (including myself) sometimes need to  stop and ask ourselves, "Am I wanting to gain understanding here? Or am I just wanting to shout my own opinions and miss the insight that someone else may have on a subject? "   None of us are all knowing. Each and every one of us can learn from each other.  But only if we are all willing to listen to what the other person has to say.  My signature was never been intended to be a personal attack on anyone here. It just seem to fit what goes on here.

If you are still offended by Proverbs 18:2. Perhaps you need to ask yourselves why?

So anyway, if after all of this I am still being asked to remove my signature because some find it offensive. I will think upon it then decided if Worthy Christian site is really the right place for me.

The biblical meaning of "fool" is someone who disregards God's Word.

It's a discussion forum. Not everything has to be edifying. I find some content (mainly those referring to conspiracy theories) entirely unedifying, not to say destructive. Others have different opinions about that. Especially people who believe in those conspiracies. Just the way it goes.

Calling names, labelling anyone as a bully is to my mind, beyond the pale. Though I enjoy mocking egregiously ridiculous comments, I do try to restrain myself.

Honest ...

What if I said it's obvious you're not all there??? :emot-LOL:

The bombastic elements of some comments and signatures bring me cause to mostly ignore them altogether. Anyone who thinks this form of personal representation means anything in comparison to a person's actual behavior and identity could be partially correct in picking a few relevant things out of what someone means about something. " Could" has never been a good answer if a person is seeking a definite answer.

.............There, now let me go lather that porcupine

Keep your signature Lady Kay. I find no offense in it at all. If scripture offends me, then I have problems, not you. Enough said about that.

I too was considering leaving Worthy forums, as I really was not looking for people to confirm my opinions, but, was rather looking for Christian friendship. I did find a couple Christian friends, and from time to time enjoy conversing with them via messages.

For those who cannot stand having their opinions challenged, and want others to affirm your opinions, probably, the General Forum is not the correct forum for you. I believe that there might be other forums for debating and other activities.

For those who take offense in almost anything anyone says in Worthy, I have the following advice: Stop, take a big breath, realize that Jesus will be the final judge of peoples actions and speech at His Bema seat. Keep in mind that irregardless if people agree with you or not, or like your posts, or in any other way affirm your 'opinions', the sun will come up in the mornings, trees will still have new leaves, blossoms, and the stars will declare God's glory. Jesus is still Lord of all, and over all.

Frankly, I learned over the years that I don't always have to have the last word on anything, and that the character of Christ flowing out from my heart is the thing that I want most in this life. Jesus will take care of the rest of my life's issues as long as I continue to love and serve Him in simplicity and truth.

But, then again . . . . this is only my 'opinion' . . .  LOL

Why do you always want to leave because someone does not like you or something you said ? Are you here for the lord Jesus ? Or are you here for your own interest ? I am here to see if i can bear fruit for our lord. I know i fall short. But i read the prayer needs and i also read what others have to say about the diffrent topics of the bible. I dont give a hoot if anyone cares for me on this site. Ihave the lord. He is most inportant

That is not my reason for considering leaving. My reason is I get put on "mod review" because people get offended by what I say and report it as being a personal attack. I feel like I am "typing" on eggshells here at times. I have to be ever so careful how I word everything I say so not to be accused of personal attacks and my words deleted. That is my over all issue.

Then when it came to my attention that some were being offended by my signature Bible verse. Well this being a Christian message form and all, that made me wonder.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
