Somebody brought a gun to church? :24: Someone brought a deadly weapon into the House of God and used it to KILL another parishioner while (supposedly) in the presence of Jesus Christ? ? :24:

:laugh::24:

This is what amazes me, along with the fact that nobody here besides you picked up on it.

This place seems to be overrun with pharisees.

Gerioke, care to explain this? Pretty harsh words to your brothers and sisters.

Gauntlet, God sees everything, in church or out. Does it make a difference? Sin is sin, no matter where it is committed.

Amen. I've prayed all day and asked God if my internet sites are pleasing to Him... No answer yet... Blessings, Jade.

Hey -

Have any of us congratulated this man for what he did?

Haven't we all been saying he was wrong?!

#1 - The doctor was wrong for performing abortions.

#2 - The church he attended was wrong for supporting him in this.

#3 - The gunman was wrong for stalking the man and murdering him.

What's the problem with this?

The problem is that some have rejoiced in his death.

Rejoicing in his death? Isnt that what some folks in the muslim world did when the twin towers of the world trade center collapsed? Didnt they rejoice in death too?

There was a time when I wanted to rejoice in the death of someone who committed crimes. God worked my heart over and showed me how wrong that was, even though this person was also a murderer. Actually more than one person. They were all murderers. Rejoicing in anyones death is wrong. Especially the death of someone who shows the fruit of an unsaved person.

Amen Jade, amen. If you read my posts on this thread you will see that I agree with you. All of the incident, from day one to the tragic finality was wrong, and we should not be rejoicing, we should be weeping.

I suspect Jesus is.

Blessings

I rejoice that he can't kill any more babies.

But it is a very sober rejoicing. I'm not jumping up and down or anything.

No, a person dying apart from Jesus is nothing to rejoice over. But perhaps some babies will live who would not have before yesterday. Is it wrong to rejoice that perhaps these lives might be spared?

I do not applaud the murder of this man, he can no longer repent of (turn away from) his sin and accept Jesus. I cannot judge him, but we are supposed to discern. If a person comes into a congregation and he or she is a murder, it is the obligation of the congregation and leadership of that church to point that person to the Bible and lead them away from sin and into a right relationship with Christ. Until then, that person should be welcome to attend services of that church, but not be given any leadership role (even ushering). Now, I would like to ask why you think that this murder happened in the presence of Jesus Christ, because it happened in a building designated as a church? A murder in a mall is also in the presence of Jesus Christ...a murcher in a home....as well as the murder of babies in an abortion clinic. God is omnipresent.

I sat in classroom once and was asked by one of the students if I believed a practicing prostitute would be allowed to become a member of my church and remain in her "profession". I turned to the young man and clearly said no. In order to become a member one must profess salvation. Well to say the least this young man shot me daggers each time he saw me, but I remained firm in my belief that sin is not something to be tolerated by the church but set free from. Yes, I do believe the prostitute he spoke of should be allowed to come to church and be shown all the love we can shower on anyone! Our God loves everyone and He is ready to save all who call upon His name.

I said that to reply about this doctor just killed in church. This man was not just coming to church services. He was a KNOWN trimester abortionist who was allowed to be an usher in the house of God. Anyone in any kind of position in the church needs to be saved! No one can convince me that people who knowingly practice sin openly and justify their actions is saved, sanctified and to put it as the Lord does in His word, born again. We are not helping anyone by condoning their behaviour. If we tolerate such brazen sin in the church, how are we helping that person be set free?

I was astonished that this doctor was not just shot in the church...that is something that has happened before, no, I was astonished that he was an Usher.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
