Catholics and Christians are to pray for Unity between them. We are all children of God, and Jesus loves each of us in a very personal way.

Together we can change the world.

Together we can change society.

Together we can bring peace to the world.

Together through the Trinity we can evangelize and bring the good news to all nations.

These are my thoughts of how important as Catholics and Christians are to unite in prayer, so Jesus is more known and accepted by the people.

Do you consider Catholics and Christians as different?

What do you consider to be Christian?

It's usually Catholics and Protestants that are presented as having differences in my experience, so not quite sure what you are saying here?

We can have unity in Christ. We should have unity in Christ.

There can be no unity though in praying to statues or idolization of mary. I cannot compromise my faith that way. But I would love to be in unity with catholics in Christ.

Disunity and disobedience go hand in hand. Those Christians who are seeking after being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ will naturally be in unity as they will be alike and of one mind except where they are yet to be conformed to that image. Unity for the sake of unity is unbiblical and found more in secular humanism.

1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."

Thats part of ny thoughts about catholischism.

Unity in the faith is natural as we grow in truth. "Sanctify them in thy truth, thy word is truth." Jn. 17:17 Jesus speaks of truth in His prayer before He prays for unity. If the ecumenical movement was grounded in the apostles doctrine and scholars holy devoted to coming together in unity in the apostles teachings then things would be different. But the movement is not about protestants and catholics uniting, it's more about wiping out the reformation. The Pope is not interested in embrasing protestant doctrine.

I've seen photos of Pope John Paul meeting with hindus, muslims, buddists, etc. etc. Him also kissing the Koran. Is this the unity we speak of? Is this what it's all about? The uniting of world religions under the Papacy? The panthyon in Rome? Why did John Paul call evangelicals vivasious wolves a number of times in South America?

The ecumenical movement is about bringing people under a world religion under a giuse of peace. Peace, peace, peace, when there is no peace. False prophets.

In John 6 the theme is believe, Jesus is the word, he who believes will have eternal life. He is the bread of life, It has nothing to do with the masses flesh and blood ritual. Even catholic scholars have written that over 70% of the organizations rites and rituals are of pagan origin.. So that's what you ask us to have unity under? A mostly pagan religion that it's own scholars verify it to be?

I personally find the division between Catholics and other Christians appalling. I know Catholics are very different and I do not agree with what they do, but they are our Brothers and Sister in Christ and we should not treat them as nonChristians as many do these days. I have been to many churches (particularly Baptist aka Nondenominational) where they seem to be all former Catholics that "survived" the faith. Some Christians even go so far as to say Catholics are not saved. I'm sorry, but if you're going to talk bad about another Christian denomination I will leave that church so fast. The biggest pet peeve I find in churches today is knocking other churches. We are to lift each other up, not tear each other down. Catholics do things that are wrong, no doubt about it. But we can't let that be a wedge between us and them. They are, in my opinion, still Christians.

Ecumenicalism is not of God. Truth must not be subjugated for unity.

Hi George,

I think it is unfortunate that you start off by making a distinction between Catholics and Christians...IMO you would be much better advised to state

how Believers of the Catholic tradition and other traditions can unite together in their faith in Jesus.

Personally I am very happy to accept and love brethren who are under the Catholic banner, have a saving faith in Jesus and are not trying to

unify all Christians under the authority of Rome.

Many Believers that are not of the Catholic persuasion are very quick to point out doctrines they disagree with, rather than seeing that despite

some strong differences the Holy Spirit is at work amongst all of us that love G-d. I would add that I have seen many things in evangelical

and pentecostal circles that I take issue with as much as I would take issue with some Catholic teachings or Eastern Orthodox etc..but we are

very quick to cast stones, look for splinters in others and believe we have the most authentic faith ...and we so easily forget such parables as the

Good Samaritan.

I don't honestly think we can bring peace to the world...but we show other beggars where we found bread.

Kind regards my brother. Botz

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
