Are we still as shocked as we were at the beginning of all the violence in the world? When something happens that I think is the worse I have ever heard something comes along to beat that.

I think perhaps sensory overload is occurring. Not desensitized but just overwhelmed.

I agree.  You could say that the world is becoming "Comfortably Numb".

Good morning BoBeep :)

We are being overloaded with bad news and I believe our body is getting numb by hearing so much ...we have to be careful as Christians and care and pray for those situations when we read or hear them, what if it would involve your family? You be devastated~~

If we would replace ourself in so many other situations what some people are going through we might more realize how blessed we are and pray more~~

We in the U.S. have been taken by a very intelligent enEmy. They are as lost as lost can get, as they do not know God, but very intelligent none-the-less. They have been raised by terror, live by terror, live in terror. This gives them a resolve to do as instructed with great, great dedication. And one of thEir jobs is to overwhelm the American citizen in every emotional and moral way so that when the time comes, for the most part, we'll all cower to the enEmy and be herded in whatever direction with the greatest of ease.

Every time something bad happens... even the remotest, isolated incident, the media of the enEmy will make sure it has hammered us until our emotions have completely shut down. And tHEy multi-task while tHEy work, causing as much anarchy and discontent as possible also. Our emotions... our hearts... our minds... have limits on the "bad" things we can take in. It becomes a matter of survival and the mind just will not accept anything else. And then when we find ourselves confronted by this same eVil? We will cower in hopelessness because in our minds, there can be no victory. We will determine resistance to be futile.

The best thing we can do with "PUBLIC" television and online news, such as cable and satellite? Cut it off. Cut it all off. Disconnect it. I mean, aren't you tired of women popping up in front of your family and friends in their bras and panties? Aren't you tired of being caught in mixed company as the enEmy prances around on television in front of you all in his underwear briefs, right there in your own living room? Aren't you tired of so called "news" that has been instructed to tell you every step (supposedly but lies) and every fart obAma and either cliNton make?  The enEmy does what iT does and makes YOU pay for it... every bit of it.

And in case you're wondering, I gave up public TV and online news 25 years ago...  But I didn't do it to be able to preach about it. I did it because I was tired of financing MTV.

Propaganda has always been an effective part in any war. One easy thing we can all do is just unplug... It's that simple. Just unplug. You'll find your mind and heart being restored to places you've long thought impossible because they will not then be continually bombarded by enEmy crap.

You'll be amazed.

Around friends that I speak to in person I'm seeing a lot of frustration because they understand what's happening, but don't know of anything to do about it.   We all seem to be waiting for someone to tell us what we can do about it....   I have to include myself in that for other than telling people the boogie man is about to get us there seems to be little we can do about it but vote and I'm not sure there is time to do that.

I turned off the television a long time ago as well, it just wasn't doing my blood pressure any good.  It helps, or at least it did for me.

I think everything is more media now, then it was before.

i'm not shocked anymore. but i don't think i'm becoming desensitized either. with each new low we hit as a society, i become more deeply saddened. and it's not like any kind of sadness i've ever felt before, either. it's a sadness that i feel all the way to the core. it's a spiritual kind of anguish. and it even sounds weird to say that, but that's what i feel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
