I honestly don't see why anyone cares if a pastor has long hair and tattoos.  In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter.   This is nothing but making an issue out of a non-issue.

I find the content of your thread which is the real shame as putting others in a place to be judgemental of such a said person with long hair and tattoos.  It is God who saves and it is God who calls and it should be left at that when it comes to making judgements on people in whom we have never met personally before.  It is a shame to put us in such a position in my personal opinion on the matter to make such a judgement.  If that makes me legalistic to take such a view towards people I do not even know then so be it.   I do know if I wanted to be pleasing to the Lord in my calling I certainly wouldn't want to be a shame in any way shape or form (referring to long hair as the issue is addressed in the New Testament as being a shame).  I would want above all else to be accepted by others around me so that I could win some to the gospel instead of being a hinderance in any compacity in the things I allow that others "may" reject.  The gospel message is not a personal matter but the gospel message to the lost is to repent for the kingdom of God is at hand,  and be ye reconciled to God if any man be in Christ he is made a new creature old things are passed away and behold all things are made new.   These topics should not be made into a joke.

To those who think I am behaving as the Pharisees, notice what Jesus says you are to do.

You are to observe and do whatsoever I bid you observe.

Do you still want to compare me to the Pharisees

knowing what Jesus expects of you if I am a Pharisee?

All those

things I have said

about clothing and hair length,

and in this thread tattoos,

you are to observe

and do.

that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,

that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day

in accordance with the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:2-4 (ESV)

And

Even the righteousness of God

which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:

for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption

that is in Christ Jesus:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,

to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works?

Nay: but by the law of faith. Romans 3:22-27

Butero:   the insults are not called for. I have no tattoos and my hair is not on my shoulders, here is your Quote:

being clean shaven is not rounding the corners of your beard. That is one of the most idiotic things I have heard people present at Worthy Boards over the years to try to defend their own sins, like having a tattoo. Even if it was what it means, and it clearly is not, it won't get anyone off the hook for their own sins. This tit for tat nonsense is just that, nonsense. All it would mean is that if it was wrong to be clean shaven, then we need to preach against it, not defend other sins. To me, rounding the corners of your beard would be more like a goaty or something like that, but I am not sure that is even what it means. I am 100 percent positive it isn't being clean shaven.

now some times we have to stop and listen to what we are being taught and what we are saying; now you saying that being cleaned shaved is NOT rounding your beard. so let me ask you this. how can I not round (mar) my beard if I have no beard to not round. . God sees the heart not the outer appearance.

obviously regardless of popular thought God does see and is very much aware of both our outward and inward man and what they look like in his eyes.  If one thinks other wise then they are not balanced inwardly nor outwardly.  Does not God even know the number of hairs we have on our heads?   Does not God know the intent of our our hearts?  Does not God know what we have need of before we even ask or think it?  Are we not created in God's image (outwardly)?  Are we not being transformed to his image (inwardly) on a day to day basis?.  Yes God does see both our inward man as well as our outward man.  It is true God looketh on the heart as was told to the prophet Samuel and was the example of that of King Saul who had a goodly appearance outwardly but inwardly King Saul failed miserable and wasn't a good person in the end was he.

But it is equally true that the heart is seen and read by all as we are living epistles known and read by all men.   What do people read in you as a living epistle?  There is such a thing as walking contrary to the word of God and most don't want to acknowledge it because their personal wills are above and more important than God's will.  Personal comfort and pleasures are winning out and not just in the topic of the thread but because their is a lack of caring and concern toward really winning the lost.  For the most part winning the lost is not the priority but instead it is personal pleasure plain and simple.  But God foretold to us that this would be a sign to us in the last days "that men would be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God".   These type threads are only a sign to me of what apostle Paul told young Timothy years ago that would be going on in the last days.   I usually do not even reply or get involved in these type of threads but it seems today is a different day and I feel I should share my thoughts on the matter in certain regards.   I am aware of what a person does before their salvation is there past and it is forgiven all a person can do is go from there and walk worthy of their vocation and calling in God.  If you got a tattoo that reflects the kingdom of Satan before you were saved there is no ajax or bon ami that can wash it off it's permanent unless you get it removed.  But you don't go and make the same mistake again after salvation.  They will be some that want receive you when they see you have a tattoo as being of God whether it is what you would call a christian tatoo or not because some people view them as wrong and always will.  But if God has a calling on your life then God will bring his purpose to pass and souls will enter into the kingdom of God such as should be saved.   What is it that we want our hearts to reflect to the world today how sloppy and lazy we can be just to show those around us God only looks on the heart.  Well I personally think that is bogus.

Butero and all others who in this thread and other similar threads that rebuke women for wearing shorter/longer hairstyles, pants/skirts,jewelry/no jewelry,

make up/no make up,long hair/short hair on men,  casual clothing/formal clothing, dentures/no dentures..

I don't live by the O.T. law of works, I live by the N.T.law of Gods Mercy and Grace living in me.

Christ Jesus healed on the sabbath.

Christ Jesus did not wash his hands necessarily before eating.

No one knows if Christ Jesus had long or short hair, but  it is said that they plucked at his beard.

If you follow things by the O.T. LAWS then follow ALL the old testament laws don't just pick and choose.

Leviticus 19:19
"'Keep my decrees. "'Do not mate different kinds of animals. "'Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. "'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of

Deuteronomy 22:11
10"You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together. 11"You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together. 12"You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.

If you are wearing mixed fibers butero and like minded others, you are sinning according to O.T. directives.
Better make sure you wear your tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself and make sure your special K does not contain mixed grains and God forbid you ever eat pork or lobster or shrimp or scampies.

Picking and choosing...
Now Gods commandment to not kill as become not murder, because its o.k. to kill but it isn't to murder?

Tomatoe/ tomato
ass/donkey,
Male cow poo-poo/ bulls (excrements)
kill/murder

Vengeance is mine said the Lord,
not ours to act on.

The ten commandments are quite clear.
By Gods grace and the Holy Spirit of God working in our hearts, they should be written in our hearts.

and Christs Jesus commandment to love one another as in this ALL the commandment are fulfilled.

Who is living under the Law of the O.T. or under Grace of the N.T.?

You either place your faith in the law of works of the O.T.
or
you place your faith in the law of  Mercy & Grace of the N.T.

Just a word here to make it plain,  There is no Old Testament law that was written in the Old covenant of Moses that can bring righteousness. Whether you keep all the old law or part of the old law of Moses.   You can practice and keep the old covenanant laws from sun up to sun down till the day you die and their is no righteousness to be had or that will ever be imputed to you.  I don't care personally what side of the fence someone is on on these type of issues whether you are one who thinks you can wear makeup or not or choose the clothing you want to wear or not wear or how short or how long to wear your hair.   Righteousness is not found in those beliefs or opinions in keeping or not keeping the old testament laws of Moses.  It takes the blood of Jesus to purge away your sins once and for all.  If there could have been an old testament law that could have been made and written down by the very finger of God himself it couldn't have purged away our sins once for all nor could the blood of the bulls of goats purge our sins and conscious toward God.  That is why the old covenant was imperfect because it couldn't purge away our sins nor was it designed or given for that purpose.  But the bringing in of a better hope and covenant did based on better promises as the blood of Christ is the only thing that can purge away our sins and sprinkle our conscious from dead works to serve the living God.   My question is are we allowing our conscioius to be sprinkled from dead works to serve the living God or just arguing over what our wills are over God's and others preferences.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
