While we have many exhorters her on Worthy, one that comes to mind is Kwik. I don't remember reading one of her posts in which I did not go away blest and encouraged. She exudes the love of the Lord.

Not all of us are so gifted, but we all can use our gifts in the Spirit of brotherly love, working to find common ground with those with whom we disagree, or explaining our case with gentleness in hopes that all may come to a knowledge of the truth, including ourselves. We have one hope, one faith and one baptism, one God and Father of us all. We have one Spirit, Whom we should not grieve or quench.

Excellent post Hippie, I hope that people in the Chat room read this.

I've seen bickering and quarreling lately that is not very edifying or

uplifting to anyone... more tearing down than building up. Cliques

being formed and bolstered and members being castigated.

This beautiful ministry needs all of us to work together as family!

This singleness of vision, Unity in Love, is just what we need.

Amen Ted:)

Thanks for returning to clear things up Hippie.  I just wanted to know if this was a continuation of another debate, so I could go back and check it out, or if it was something that happened in chat that caused you to start this thread.  The title of the thread was also confusing.  Anyway, thanks again.

I reckon I could have made the title a bit more clear.... I was saying it with sarcasm in my head and it came out great in there :) ....hehe ...sometimes what's in our heads don't quite convey as well in text eh?

God Bless,

Hip

I have a problem with sarcasm.Maybe that is why I did not relate to your thread  :noidea:

the thread is simply the scripture itself.... the title I had a bit of sarcasm in my head when I titled it. ...

Imagine two people having a conversation...one is calling the other one out on their not so gracious way of addressing someone else...It's a one sided question and reply to one's self ....but I was just sayin! .... What do you mean how I said it? ...we could put in the other side of the conversation with whatever application applies to that person. Bob, you just X, Y and Z'd Susan with what you said..... "But Tom, I was just sayin!".... ... It's not what you said Bob, it was how you said it......... What do you mean how I said it?? ... How I said it in my head with sarcasm...was actually Bob's reply to Tom.. so to speak

God Bless,

Hip

Very true but, remember, we are defective sinners who have to constantly work on these things.  I think everyone here tries to be Christlike and, when we fail, we just need to pick ourselves up and try again.  I don't know about the rest of you but sometimes I get mad at MYSELF because I turn combative when my opinions are questioned.  I sometimes wonder if I will ever overcome that.

Well,it seems like sometimes we all want to be right we are only human we will not be perfect until we get to heaven.Too many people strive for that and only get frustrated. Some of wanting to be right is pride and we need to work on that.Actually I see a lot of pride on Worthy.

Unfortunately true.  I am guilty of pride at times myself.  :blush2:

I seem to find myself unable to get out of my own prides way many times.....is like seeing the bus coming...but refusing to step back up on the curb. We know it's gonna hurt...injure us and potential others...but we do it anyway.

God Bless,

Hip

Hi MorningGlory,

I do identify with you when you said - `sometimes I get mad at MYSELF because I turn combative when my opinions are questioned. I sometimes wonder if I will ever overcome that.` What has helped me to defuse that combative attitude, is to realise that the Holy Spirit will bring out the truth as we go on. Also, if we have the truth, then more is expected of us to carry that truth to our brothers & sisters. Let go of the personal responsibility to have to change some one`s mind (as if we could anyway) & trust the Holy Spirit to enlighten them in His time.

Remember others read our posts & they may be the one to help that person who is difficult.

So....

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: Job 5:17 (KJV)

I was just sayin....

Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah. Acts 3:19-20 (NLT)

What do you mean, how I said it....

Only fools say in their hearts,

“There is no God.”

They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;

not one of them does good!

The Lord looks down from heaven

on the entire human race;

he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,

if anyone seeks God.

But no, all have turned away;

all have become corrupt.

No one does good,

not a single one! Psalms 14:1-3 (NLT)

I'm wondering... if we put aside the confusion with the thread title,

what are people's thoughts about personally using the Scriptures

that Hippie put forward as guidelines for their own conversations

in threads and in the chat room?

Or does everyone feel that they are already doing a good enough job

speaking always in love and charity, etc.? Is there room for improvement?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
