Hope does not disappoint?  Is that your experience?

do you believe all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved?

Yes, from the heart. I can't judge cause I can't see everything. Some call from the flesh out of greed or for mans approval. I don't think confessions from lips that have hearts hidden in selfishness are earnestly seeking Him as Savior.  i don't know the depths of His promise or mans sincerity in a cry to Him. But, I do know the depth of His love is immeasurable. I also know He watches over His word to keep it. So yes I believe romans 10:13 and I have experienced romans 5:5.

You know His name is Savior (Yahshua:) He saves.

At any rate, post your favorite Scripture so I can highlight it in my new Bible.

My favourite verse is Galatians 2:20, the example of Paul living the crucified and resurrected life by the faith of the Son of God.
Galatians 2:20 (KJV): I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

My favourite chapters are Psalm 8 and Isaiah 6, especially because of the many allusions and quotations of these in the NT, giving a Divine commentary or exposition of these. Both are centred in the work and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, in both the 1st and 2nd Coming.

Kind regards Trevor

One of my favorites is Psm 84.  I asked for it to be sung at our wedding in 1963.

ESV   How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord of Hosts!  My soul longs, yes faints for the courts of the Lord;  My heart and flesh sing for joy to the Living God.           Even the Sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God.  Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing Your praise!

Blessed are those whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.  As they go through the Valley of Baca (weeping) they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.  They go from strength; each one appears before God in Zion.

O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer;  give ear, O God of Jacob!  Behold our shield, O God;  look on the face of Your anointed!

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.  I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.  For the LORD God is a sun and a shield;  The LORD bestows favor nad honor.  No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.  O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in You!

How beautiful Willa.  We did something different at our wedding too.  We (Steve and I) took communion, so that means a lot to me too.

It's probably impossible for me to pick just one, but this is the first one that came to mind and it's a great one :)

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." ~John 5:24

Has anyone else here noticed because of the Internet you rarely open a Bible because you can find it all online.

It's just not the same though IMO.

Gratias! :)

A couple of my favorites:

2Pe 2:16But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

Jhn 6:70Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one ofyou is a devil?

Always reminding me of the truth that his ways are not our ways but above our ways.

Philippians 1:6 - being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (favorite this month :))

Reminds me that it is not by my work that I grow in Christ but by his work.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.  Jeremiah 6:16a

Those are two of my favorites.  In the case of the verse from Jeremiah, the sad thing is that the last part of that verse says, "But they said, We will not walk therein."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
