Why am I here on Worthy? I asked myself that question last night. I came here for support in a time of need and found it. I would like to think that me being here gives support to others. I would like to think that things that I write on here can help lead someone into the right path to God. I would like to think that this place can be a place where I share my testimony about my faith. But due to wanting to do things my own way, I find myself in endless debates with people on here about who is right and who is wrong. And while it starts out with good intentions, it just ends up being a contest for me to see how many people I can win over to my side. I post this to ask myself is winning people over to my way of thinking the reason I am here? I do not think that it is. So I feel that perhaps, I will need to reel myself in from time to time. To not allow myself to be caught up in an endless debate about who is right and who is wrong. But to think about why I am really here. And that is to help people. Not to make them look foolish but to help point them  to God in what ever way I can. So I will be working on these things.

We are all to work out our salvation.  We should listen to the spirit more than each other in these matters in my personal opinion.

Well, when you make statements like Paul's writings contradict the words of the Lord, you are going to get fierce opposition and rightly so. Such nonsense should never go unchallenged. Its not about being right its about defending the truth of our faith.

"Jude 1:3 NIV
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people."

Beloved~!

I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. Psalms 40:10-11

I have found the solace to be one of searching for The Who of God ... for as I learn the increase in Him I am
encouraged- for it is of such that not only would I not let it go but that it is the very reason of having...
The Place where all else is needful in coming to and nothing leaves for there is no other place to go!
Love, Steven

I think most Christians want to participate in a Christian message board because they want fellowship with other Christians. I am always learning and there are a couple of posters that I can learn from. Also it is to put out the true literal word of God to others to encourage them. There are some posts on Worthy that I do not think are the true word of God. This makes it difficult for those who are new believers and are not yet grounded in the true word of God. There is only one right and that is the true word of God. Not what someone thinks or their own opinion. Christianity is not a competition. We need to put all pride aside. The best way we as Christians can help others on Worthy is to post only the true literal word of God...THE TRUTH.... and not allow others to stumble and fall. I think there will be a harsh judgment for those who are responsible for that.

Yes I agree with the above statement by bopeep.

In the bible we have all we need to be able to live a full life in Him.

In Gods word found in the old and new testament we have enough material to look upon in prayer and meditation.

In Gods Word found in the bible we have enough reading material to work out our salvation.

God called me back to Him about 14 years ago, I was called to let go of all other spiritual, esoterical books, I was called back by God and this time it was made clear to me that if I was to let go in order to follow God, I had to let go of the things of this world and follow His WORD alone.

Since than my relationship with God began to grow more and more and I really began to see Him  working in my life..

It saddens me also when I see here, some who try to introduce other books as complimentary study books to Gods words and who deny Gods word in the bible as Gods Word.

This is exactly what I was called away from doing 14 years ago, and now seeing it being re-introduced by some people here, saddens me as I know it can be a stumbling block for the one seeking Gods Word and truth unto salvation in Him.

I came to worthy seeking a bible believing community to share , lift and pray for people and grow in our one true belief in God through our lord and savior Christ Jesus.

Everyone is at a different leaning /understanding curve, but I think it is of most importance to keep this place a bible believing site with

" the true literal word of God...THE TRUTH"

"and not allow others to stumble and fall"

Away from Gods TRUE WORD with hearsay literature, conjectures that have not been approved to be in Gods Holy Word.

Blessings Lady

It is great to do little "self" exams & sort things out,,,,,,,,I am praying with you to get focused on going about "our Fathers Business",we just need to stay out of HIS way and it all comes together,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,try (it ain't always easy)to not think about what others say,do  or think  only on your own actions,,,,if you are "re-acting" then SELF is a hinderance,if you can maintain self control, focus on the promptings of the Holy Spirit then you are bearing GOOD FRUIT

When I am "tempted" or "compelled" to respond I take time to pray(or at least I try to as much as I can),,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am very accountable for my own words & we must try to be mindful of that,,,,more often than not it is best to "kick the dust off your feet"(in negativity & turmoil)

        God Bless you,well done,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Praise the Lord!                                        With love-in Christ,Kwik

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
