If you believe the movie GHOST then YES.  LOL

I agree with Quasar93 also. I can't remember where in the Bible, but I recall it implies somewhere that at the moment of our physical death, an angel of the Lord escorts us to Jesus. Personally, I believe at the Rapture, beyond speed measurement of light and instantly, when Jesus shouts, "come up here". It will be so fast Satan and his minions will have no chance to interfere or do anything. I also suspect it's going to be very personal in nature, like being called up personally hearing our own name. Can't prove that by scripture, but I have a sense based on scripture that may happen?

"Luk 21:36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. [emphasis mine]

Taken in context to whom Jesus is talking to, I'm wondering what this verse is telling us?

Anyone? Anyone?"

The Lord will take Christian believers off of the earth before

The passage that you give relates to Israel during the coming tribulation period

Well,  it will seem like an instant, just a moment, yes.... but first see what Scripture says from Genesis thru Revelation:

In a pdf file online re "The rich man and lazarus"  by e.w.bullinger.  (about 20 pages)  NOT a short read though - thorough and covers all the Scripture practically to see what most will miss if they are not alert in spirit to YHWH(God) ....  This soundly shows the difference and the problems with tradition vs God's Word.

Yes, but that is at the time of our physical death. Those who go in the rapture will not experience a physical death. It will be so fast that we will be with Jesus Christ in the next breath that we take. We all have our own perspective of what the rapture will be like. I find myself thinking about it often.

This is an interesting interpretation and I wonder why it has just been recently that we have now been hearing people starting to say this. For so long, we were told “apostasy” was the church falling away from truth, but of late, more people are seeing “apostacia”as meaning DEPARTURE, as in Rapture?

Of course, this makes everyone nervous when the rules change in the middle of the game, but I agree...it is better to change to what is more ACCURATE than to keep it erroneous.

Hi Spock! Too long since we chatted! Accuracy comes from meditation and waiting on the Lord. It is really not that difficult: in verse 3B the man of sin is revealed (In Paul's argument).

Since he is revealed in 3b, then the truth of verses 6 -8 must have happened: the one restraining has to be taken out of the way in 3A. If words mean anything, this has to be truth. However, there is nothing except this Greek Word, "apostosia" that could possibly be any entity taken out of the way.

It is VERY interesting when Paul wrote, "Now you know what restrains"...... as if he had just told us. In fact, HE DID...but did it in a way that might be overlooked, so he penned "now you know" so people would read more carefully or back up and study..

You are Spock: you will see it. It is logical.

I don’t know if it qualifies for two comings or maybe it is just technically one coming because he never reaches Earth both times, but it seems logical to me....

-rapture is when he comes in the clouds, doesn’t reach Earth (so maybe not really considered a coming)

-second coming in power with armies behind him....lands on Mt of Olives, just as when He left

The scriptures call His arrival in the clouds for the rapture a coming. We cannot get around that. Therefore, I maintain there will be a second coming for the rapture, and a  third coming WITH the saints.

It is interesting: in all those verses you quoted, only one includes the word: "second."

Yes,  so much was re-written,  and infiltrated all the countries and almost all the churches.   People grew up being taught lies all their lives,   what can they do now ?   Who can save them from deception they were immersed in all their lives growing up ?

Sorry, Justin and Jeff, but one day you will be shocked to find the rapture was right there in scriptures all along! I do hope you have read 1 Thes. chapter 4 and 5?

Nice metaphor, Dennis.

it makes sense to me, God’s wrath is not meant for the bride of Christ because hasn’t Christ done enough to pay for our sins?

somwhat is the GT for if it is not for the bride?

ahhhhh, how about purging Israel for their unbelief, and spanking a whole lot of unbelievers.

Did you notice how Daniel put it?

Dan 12:Daniel 12:7 (ASV) And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

Most in Israel trust in themselves and in the IDF. God will take them to the place where they had NOTHING LEFT but a miracle from God!

This is a favorite verse of the PARTIAL rapture proponents.  By that I mean, only the believers who are watching, waiting, ready, and praying get to experience the rapture. The others get to experience a little Tribulation to cleanse them from their worldliness and Luke warmness.  Thus, only the Philadelphia type believers will be spared from the hour of trouble, not the others.

I didn’t say I believe this, just sayin.  But I will be honest, I have wondered about this too- if only some believers get raptured, but I can’t put my support behind something that is not clear enough through the scriptures.

Actually, I believe God put this verse here for pretribbers to use as a mental 2 x 4 for posttribbers.  It is quite clear: there IS a God created escape plan! We should be praying we are worthy of it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
