Hello brothers and sisters,

The thought came to my mind: it says in those Blessed Verses to put Those Supreme Words on one's head and hand: Deuteronomy 6:8!

I heard that our Jewish brothers, whom we should pray for and preach The Salvation! to, do that until these days! Do Christians do That? I was thinking: writing the word "Deuteronomy" in as many languages as could fit on a band, and make wrist bands and shoulder bands, and a headband pointing to these verses.

Any thoughts?

Those are the verses of the Shema. My godparents learned it when they went to Israel last October, and they had the Hebrew verses transliterated to English, and we would sing it before Sunday School.

Shema Yisrael

Adonai Eloheynu

Adonai Echad

Baruch Shem Kevod

Malchu'to

Leolam Vaed

Why do bands that point backwards to what does not save?

The words of Deut6:4-9 are true, but they are not those that lead people to Jesus.

Then why should Christians wear something that copies the orthodox Jewish ritual wearing on the law?

What some Christians do is wear a cross or a crucifix, to identify as Christian and to show the method of salvation. It is also worn by nonchristioans as a superstious protection against evil.

6:4 is already said as a daily prayer in Judaism- the Shema

I looked up on a website what those Hebrew words mean.

what-does-baruch-shem-kvod-malchuso-lolam-vaed-mean

"And be a witness to the world that God’s honorable kingdom is blessed."

I think that phrase would be a good way to end one's prayer request for a particular promise of blessing to be in one's life. That the answering of the prayer in that person's life would result in that person to be a witness to the world that God’s honorable kingdom is blessed.

"A King’s Kingdom consists of 2 things, His lands and His people. In this case we are referring to his “honorable” kingdom. Land cannot be honorable only people can be honorable. Therefore God’s honorable kingdom means God’s people."

Also, concerning the wearing of "the box" on one's head"..  is explained this way. "By Putting the tefillan (the bible uses the word "phylacteries") on the forehead and between the eyes we reinforce the concept that we are witnesses."

John 3:21 "We do (practice) the truth and come to the light that it may be manifest that our deeds are wrought in God."

Deu 6:8  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

I always think of this when they speak of the mark of the beast, which is placed in the same places.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for theword of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

If I am not mistaken there was a very famous Rabbi who took this passage and changed one word from Echad to Yachid. I am probably in error with their spelling. The original wording that Echad meaning something that is a Unity speaking of the Lord God as being  one but three but one. The Rabbi changed the word to Yachid meaning one singular which would rule out a God that is One but three. So please if you plan on wearing this make sure you have the correct wording that does not deny the Trinity. If you are going to work from this as a way of reaching Jewish people you need to guard against a lifetime, in many cases, of teaching that one of their greatest Rabbinical teachers has for centuries denied the Christ using this very passage.

Up until AD 200 the Hebrew scholars accepted the 'two powers in Heaven' as the many many scriptures refer to ONE as beig TWO. And also the mention of Spirit was also affirmed. Around AD 200 they rewrote things and removed the Septuagint replacing it with a modified Masoretic text. However, Qumran discoveries highlighted these falsehoods. So today, they have many forms of Judaistic theology just as the Church has its variants.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
