I find it bizarre and somewhat troubling. IMO--its one thing to desire to see the Lord's return soon, but another to hope for the terrible times that precede. Perhaps said another way---I don't understand the seeming fascination.

I may be all wrong and probably am, but I get an uneasy feeling sometimes when reading some posts.

No offense taken, my friend.  Like you, I sometimes get a sinking feeling reading peoples thoughts they type out.

Yup—-on the other hand, as I have been before the Lord over this stuff lately, it occurs to me that perhaps some of these younger folks are functioning as planned.

The Lord has just never taken me very far down that road. There has always been so much more that captivates attention as we walk along and fellowship.

I know how that reads, but I seriously doubt that is what was meant.  I can't imagine anyone hoping for those types of things to happen to themselves or those they care about.  I would assume what is hoped for is the same thing we all hope for, the coming of our Lord.

According to Rev 17 the beast is the 8th and of the 7.

Al Baghdadi was described as the 8th in the line of 12 legitimate caliphs.

That also makes him of the previous 7.

Didn't say he was. Scripture says he is resurrected through the power of Satan. Well, the Father's power, then the dragon gives the beast power and authority.

That's not so difficult to  understand since its word for word what prophecy says will occur. 

It's not our way that's important, it's the way of the Lord. Not up to us, not by our understanding, but by His power.

For a head wound, I agree that he will have the power to heal the head wound, but to put a person back together, every small piece that was blown off when the suicide vest went off, would take far more than it will take to heal a head wound.  To completely put together a scattered body would take God Himself.   I don't see this happening so I don't agree that Al Baghadi will be the one healed from a head wound.  Just doesn't fit.

However, it's all under the power and authority of Almighty God by which nothing is impossible.
