Interesting. Could be a look at real life? Which is sometime not nice to look at. Hmmmm......?

I was sent some screen shots from a friend and if those were caught on my computer/phone I would go to jail.

the movie should be tagged as child porn and legal actions taken....    but canceling Netflix is not going to do anything...

I deleted my last post for it did not do justice as to how disgusting parts of the movie is....

I like to think that I bring a different point of view to things. I just see things in a different way then some other people.  I mean it is good to talk to people who don't always agree with everything you say. None of us are perfect and I think it helps us to grow.

Always good to have different views. Nothing worse than an echo chamber.

I don't have problem with different views either.  I even said very specifically, if you have a different argument, by all means post it.

What I do have a problem with, is when I post my view, and someone says "You don't have the authority to...."  Post my opinion?

Because if that is the standard, then logically unless the person saying that is Jesus himself, or one of the apostles, then the person posting "You don't have the authority..." also doesn't have the authority, and thus shouldn't be on here to begin with, if he followed his own standard.

Beyond that, when you start spewing insults... direct personal insults... like "I would think that someone with beaker as an avatar, would know some science"... that is a direct personal insult, which some people on this forum, that I no longer talk to, have said to me....

Well I'm not obligated to be insulted by people on here.  Of course I'm going to put those people on my ignore list.  The problem isn't that they have a different view.  The problem is that they are not discussing things without being rude and insulted.

By all means, every can say whatever they want.  But be an adult without insults or put downs... and don't sit there and tell others they don't have a right to their opinion, or the "authority" to have an opinion.

I don't think those minimal requirements are unfair.

Not sure how all that spawned off my comment. I don't think I was implying or condoning any such behaviour.

This is going to be short and sweet.    Don't take my word for it, go look this up yourself.

Netflix decided to post a movie made in France, that is basically soft-core porn with 11-year-old girls.

It is absolutely disgusting.  Purely and entirely disgusting at many levels.  It involves underage girls dressing in street-walker outfits, doing sexualized dance moves like twerking (not going to explain that, you can look it up on your own), and being ridiculous.

This apparently was *not* considered controversial in France, which tells you how very very far France has fallen morally.

The bottom line is, Netflix has decided that this Pro-pedophilia film is perfectly fine, and has even been so bold as to tell critics "Go watch the film."

Now I have to tell you, that I am generally against boycotts and complaining about what the pagans do, because it is foolish to expect people who don't know or believe in Christianity, to follow Christian belief.

But this is too far.  This is not just pagans having pagan views, this direct support of pedophilia.... and then DEFENDING the pedophilia.    There is no other way to view this.   They are directly defending and supporting the hyper sexualizing of underage girls.

This isn't even sweet 16, where in history past, 16 year olds were expected to grow up, and move towards finding a husband.

We're talking about 11 to 14 year olds, dressed like they are working in a strip club.  Skin tight, highly revealing, extremely sexual.

Bottom line is.... My advice to all of you, if any of this matters to you, you should cancel your Netflix account.   No christian should be directly or indirectly supporting this, by giving your G-d given money to a company that supports pedophilia.

So I'll say it bluntly.   Cancel your Netflix.   If we allow support of Pedophilia to go without opposition, then we are not the salt of the Earth anymore.  We are accomplices in evil.

I've never had a subscription for Netflix since the bill I once had for Dish Satellite was expensive enough. Being #1 in the popularity status of neworks comes at a very costly price. There were literally hundreds of music channels of every category imaginable and I really enjoyed the variables. No videos were on them but they did list artist/group and the songs on the playlist.

This does sound pretty bad and looking up the term = "twerking" was something I've seen enough times on network television to find it extremely distasteful. Here's the kicker I saw last weekend on Turner Classics Movie Channel. (TCM) Foreign films are pretty common with subtitles and some are pretty racey. At 3:00 am I woke up to go to the bathroom and had the television going. Sound off - (CC)

My jaw hit the floor from what I was on the screen. My roomie also had his TV on the same channel and was awake. "What in the world?" I asked him. Some yes, it too was a French film, dubbed, and two women were engaging in the most torrid love scene totally "au naturel" if you get what I'm implying and I could not believe this soft X/hard R rated movie was being broadcast on TV for a nursing home.

Was this pornography? Yes, it absolutely was and the hardest smut imaginable. Good grief!

The television can surely also be an idol, and surely it is one of the main methods by which the general public is literally brainwashed.

Have you seen the movie, or is hearsay being reported?

You have a corporate statement from Netflix stating they believe pedophilia is perfectly fine? Or is this a conclusion you or your sources have inferred?

Thank you for your advice but we could also unite to ignore the dross and watch solely that which is edifying from a Christian perspective and speak to the purse in a much different way. The world will always behave in worldly ways and when Christians separate and thereby abandon the worldly to unfettered restraint we abdicate our role as light to that world, ceding our terrain to darkness under the auspices of righteousness.

I, for one, will use my God-given power of choice to not watch movies and shows that sexualize girls and use that same God-given choice to assert a Godly set of values in all that I watch, whether on network television, cable subscription.

Unless you tell Netflix why the subscription is being canceled they will neither know nor care. Be wise, not just holy.

Yes, I was concerned at the start that it was being exaggerated, so I investigated it myself.  From the various descriptions of the movie, to the trailers, to the artwork posted about the movie... it is clearly and undeniably pedophilia.

It is putting 11-year-old girls into a sexuallized twerking group, wearing skin revealing skin tight outfits, doing clearly suggestive dance moves.

And again, even the description of the movie says as much. It says an 11-year-old girl rejects her conservative parents, and joins a twerking dance group, and "Explores her femininity".

Now of course Netflix didn't say "We support pedophilia".   But if you had such a movie on your service, and someone told you it's pedophilia, and you review it and see a bunch of 11-year-olds in clothe barely larger than a bikini, and dancing around twerking with their butts up in the air....

You would move to remove the movie.   Netflix gave several statements, that all said the same thing which roughly translated to we support diversity and a variety of cultures.

That's basically them defending the movie, and openly saying they will not remove it.

Unless you tell Netflix why the subscription is being canceled they will neither know nor care. Be wise, not just holy.

That's fine.... if that's how you want to roll.

The book of Revelations says that things will get worse before the end.  So I for one, basically accept the fact that this is the direction our world is going.

So the purpose of this action, is not about Netflix knowing why they are being canceled, or careing.

This is how the world is going.  We are not going to stop it, by complaining at Netflix.

So why is it my opinion you should cancel your Netflix?

Because we are stewards of the money G-d has given us.  Do you see?  It's not our money.  It is G-d's money.   And now that you know that Netflix is actively defending and supporting clear unambiguous pedophilia.... how can you in good conscious give G-d's money to a company that supports this?

How do you plan to face Jesus on judgement day, and have him ask you what's up with that?

This entire thing has been rather shocking to me, that so many people can prioritize entertainment.... which is all this is.  You don't need Netflix for your life.  It's entertainment.

I don't understand how people can pick having their entertainment over opposing Pedophilia.  Just baffling to me that this discussion has gone on for 9 pages.

My internet company is Wowway.  If someone came to me and said that Wowway was directly supporting Pedophila.  First I would verify the claim.  And you can verify everything I said about Netflix and the movie cuties.  There is plenty of information about this.

And then once I verified it, I would have it canceled before the end of the month.   I would never prioritize something that is clearly an optional service of society, over standing for what is right.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
