When I find myself down for one reason or another, I am reminded of what is said in Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Indeed 😊

I think the key word in that verse above is "meditate" or think on. What we think is so important.

I agree… 😊 our thinking drives our words/behaviours/actions

Nowadays I'm working in this garden in our old rental house 🏡. For some reasons there were no flower beds here, so now I've made three, where I'm planning to sow both vegetables seeds and flower seeds.

Sounds lovely and enjoyable. I hope it produces well for you.

Also, this verse - "... I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."  Philippians 4:11b

I was thinking of that verse too, and I am content. However, to be truthful, I have never really been tested to see if my contentment is limited!

Now that is contentment folks!!!

Mega,I find it profound that you said " I've never really been tested" ......I'm only on the outside looking in,I know some things about you, your life but not much at all....throughout the years weve been through our own stuff, situations, issues and circumstances-together.We've prayed for & with one another, shared sorrows & joys.......Brother,you've been tested & passed with flying colors ,your contentment is not limited because the Power of Holy Spirit is limitless-all Glory to God!

I know you dont like compliments but it is no compliment to you,it is a Testament to Jesus,His Finished work on the cross-Praise Jesus!                                                                  With love-in Christ<Kwik

Adorable! My pleasure and to God be the Glory & our Thanksgiving!

I could address each one of you for sharing such encouraging & uplifting  little stories.....thank you all for contributing what Holy Spirit Has Given you to share

I believe we have to start many more discussions pertaining to our Growth & process of Sanctification which is never ending, the continual opposition we all face & how to Overcome every obstacle thrown our way that we may be that Light in the darkness, that Joy amidst much sadness,Peace in a chaotic environment and the Unconditional Love of Christ where there is rejection & hatred:6:

A lack of faith can cause discontentment. Matthew 6:25 Jesus is telling us to be content with what we have. Also He told us not to worry about the things of this world.
