A lot of Heiser's source material is not biblical, which does not mean that everything he says is wrong; but, I'd check what he says against the Bible, carefully.

Here are some interesting articles on Heiser's teaching, from a biblical viewpoint.

Links to the rest of the articles are near the bottom of the page.

Here is a much shorter article, on one of Heiser's worst heresies.

I do disagree with those.

I do not agree with Heiser in all things, but that smaller article, at least, misrepresents what Heiser says.

You would have to read his books yourself to know that.

I believe a lot of this is a misunderstanding of what Heiser teaches.

Heiser would probably be the first to say he believes in only one triune God.

Heiser teaches that God entrusted other of His creation to help supervise certain areas.

These angelic caretakers did a lousy job and even allowed themselves to be worshipped as god which led to a lot of the pagan beliefs.

The "divine council" is not something God needed. He gives these responsibilities to his creations.

......so yeah, I disagree with the disagreements.

Essentially regarding this aspect of what Heiser is teaching, is that God does not need anything, but desires co-workers. This fits into my understanding of His Eternal Purpose In Christ…to have a family in which too share being and to work with Him in the ages to come. So, in this…I find no fault with Michael. I have corresponded with him.

Where I think he has some difficulty, is his interest in and seeming captivation with the fringe…very strange and unhealthy stuff, that does not point to Christ, but is at best a distraction.

Some of the old documentaries I watched on demonic possession and aliens were good.

Being a curious person, I want to know everything.

Then listen to ALL his various topics. They are NOT what the pulpits are saying. Dr. Heiser is a very very good scholar and I hope he survives his cancer.
