It is God's  will that NONE should perish

2 peter3:9 in the niven not wanting anyone, kj, not willing that any should perish.

God knows from before creation who will be saved.

He knows who will be justly punished.

We don't  fully understand how God's  choice is not compromised  by our choice/acceptance of his offer of salvation.

But ultimately  it is God's  choice not mans.

Hey @Not of the World  Your question is, “Are you saved but believe you would have been damned had you died before you were saved”

No, because there is no way that I, as one who was chosen before the foundation of the world, would ever reject His call.  The scenario that you propose is not possible.  A chosen individual can never be dammed.  Why? because they were chosen! and they know it as soon as they here Jesus say, “Come to Me.”  They immediately recognize their Shepherd’s voice and follow Him.   -Selah

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

- John 10:27-28 (NKJV)

Our dear sister did a much better job of directly answering the question than I did. Many thanks, @Selah7. :)

The beloved of the Lord cannot and will not perish from this earth until those works which God ordained for them to walk in are finished. That was the point of describing how the Lord called me when I didn't know Him, and how He preserved me when it seemed all hope was lost. The will of Almighty God is always done for there is none who can oppose nor withstand Him. Hence the Lord declared to Cyrus,

I am the Lord, and there is no one else;
There is no God except Me.
I will arm you, though you have not known Me,
So that people may know from the rising to the setting of the sun
That there is no one besides Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no one else,
The One forming light and creating darkness,
Causing well-being and creating disaster;
I am the Lord who does all these things.

(Isaiah 45:5-7 NASB)

OP

I think the story of Lazarus could apply here.

Lazarus passed away before Jesus died for our sins.

The bible says Lazarus resided in heaven with Abraham, if I remember correctly.

no. Why? I didn't know him. This will be good.. it was not because He called me or my naming being written before the foundation of the world. See He never forced anyone. Everyone that comes to Christ has a choice. His desire is for all to be saved. There is no one Christ didn't choose.  So easy to talk like this since we are found... I don't praise God never would.

So those that don't know Him are dammed? no. Hello its why were still here! He is still waiting for us to unhide that light and let it shine no matter what happens to us.

Yes. Every person has the option to accept or reject the Lord. All men are promised that "whoever believes in Him shall not die, but have everlasting life" because of what Jesus Christ did on the Cross.

Adding to this there's I Timothy 2. It says God wants all people to be saved and that Jesus gave Himself as a ransom for all. The Bible really reinforces itself by repeating key ideas like this.

John 3:18 (KJV)
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This proves original sin nature of man. Eliminates hyper-Calvinism.

No one has ever be damned because of what Adam did.

Jesus and the disciples did not teach anything like that, not even suggestively.

They asked everyone as they are to believe in Jesus Christ...to have their sins under the blood of Jesus Christ..

Most of the people who believed from non Christian Families they have denied to believe at first...they stand to be condemned only if they die with their denial.

Paul denied to believe in Jesus too many times in his Life, but he was not condemned...only if he died in his denial, and only then...but Paul believed before he died, and he died as a believer in Jesus Christ...

John 3:18 has nothing to do with "the original sin", we have nothing to do with the "original sin...

We were never promised to believe in Jesus Christ so we can become like Adam before his disobedience.

This is not part of the Gospel..it never was and never has been...and never will be.

I kind of disagree with that, because before he ate of the fruit he did not know what sin really was, so he/she was not held accountable for anything.

After eating of the fruit, both he and Eve did understand for they realized they were naked and no one told them of that.   They knew by nature then of what was really right and wrong.  Call it sin or whatever.  They passed that on to their offspring to us.

So, it isn't that we are condemned by something that anyone else including Adam has done, but the fact that we now by nature know better at some time in our lives, and that is what condemns us before Jesus steps in.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
