They are spiritually blind per 2 Corinthians 4:4. We are fortunate and blessed per Ephesians in that we have been permitted to know the truth, I guess. Anyway, asking a spiritually blind person to see the truth of God is like asking a physically blind person to see a color chart. They just can't do it. We can plant seeds in them and say a prayer but, ultimately, it's up to God to remove the veil, or so I believe.

What exactly does it mean, "Let Go and Let God"? Most of the time when I hear this is when someone is struggling in their faith and walk with God and another Christian comes along make this statement. To me this statement does not ring true at all at least in how they use it. I had a dear friend that I helped lead to faith, and discipled him, and someone came a long and told him this exact statement and told him he was working for his salvation because he had given up his old life of drugs, sleeping around, and partying and was now living a completely a new life that was radically changed and was now reading the bible, praying, and attending bible fellowships, and preaching the gospel to others, with much joy. Unfortunately, because he was new in faith and had no strong roots, he took their advise and let go and backslide into his old life of doing drugs, sex, and partying, and now wants nothing to do with other Christians that talk about sin or living godly. We are never to let go, but we are to hold tightly to our faith and obedience to Messiah, and endure hardships, trials, and temptations for his name sake and never give up. We are to carry our cross, deny our flesh, give up our old life of sin and now live by doing what is pleasing towards God. Yes, there maybe things in your life that someone does need to "let go" of such as immoral relations, doctrines that are not biblical, and sins such as adultery, pornography, drugs, drunkenness, homosexuality, unforgiveness, greed, etc.., but we are to never give up living according to how Messiah taught us to live. He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. - Mar 8:34-35 Strive [work fervently] to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. - Luk 13:24 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. How does God remove the veil and draw them? "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God". (He wrote the program) The seeds of truth, the word (which is God) is light/truth. Those who are lost are blinded by the enemy with darkness, lies. This is corrupted data/thinking within the mind. These are facts/truth in scripture. Scripture also says/proclaims that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”(a change of thinking/action) When a seed is planted, that is God. Life. Light. Light exposes darkness/lies. Yet as the word/light/God reveals/draws the person he decides if he wants to change from the 'fun-excitement-lifestyle' to submission to God's WORD. To flip an internal switch of doubt in the exposed lie/darkness and consider the truth is a seed of faith, that can grow if watered/nourished. Or withers due to lack of water or good soil, or the seed over come by the cares of the world. One planteth, another waters, and God gives the increase. PS; Watch some of Ray Comfort's videos on U-tube witnessing the streets of California beaches and look into the faces as they decide to, by a tiny seed of faith believe (allow the word(God) to draw them) to the light truth, or reject it. That said there's also been a cultural push against religion in general and Christianity more specifically over the past several decades. False. There is no online message board for Christians that can be called the church. I've been on about 5 and currently am just here. But even Worthy is not a church. Why? Because the church, according to the Bible, has a list of jobs to do that can only be done in person, corporately, and as a body. Partake of the Lord's Supper - Luke 22 - Jesus told the men he was physically with, to eat this as often as they wanted, but to always do this in remembrance of him. Take physical care of the communities widows and orphans - 1 Timothy 5 - Paul teaches Timothy, the young man, and new pastor, that the church is to pick up the slack in tending to the widows and orphans if their families won't do it. Physically assemble together and don't neglect that - Hebrews 10. Now some people cannot physically go to church because of their health. And for the rare few, they cannot find a Godly body that teaches and preaches the Bible. That's not all as the Bible has more to say, but I'll have too long of a post if I list the rest. To, me one of the primary reasons that online message boards are not the church is the plethora of different messages they teach/preach. For example: There are people here and on every other message board I've seen that have different opinions than me on minor issues and that's OK!! Peter and Paul didn't always see eye to eye. That's not what I am talking about. What I am talking about is that there will always be various and sundry people on every Bible message board who preach and teach heresy and anti-Biblical things. They are here at Worthy - a small handful. We are an online fellowship board.

This is one of the oldest arguments, isn't it. What do you do with the millions of people who died before Christ ever came to be our sacrifice, or never heard of Jesus after He was sacrificed for our sins? Are they all automatically destined for the lake of fire and brimstone, or will Jesus judge them righteously at His judgment?

With that said, Absolutely, There is no other way that is JUST. It is called THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, it happens at the Lords Day. It is called the resurrection of the dead NOT BECAUSE their FLESH is dead and buried, but because they were NEVER BORN OF THE SPIRIT. Having never been born of the spirit aka never born from above aka never born again, they never received the gift of Salvation, were never made a new creature, didn't get to know THE LIFE, did not know Christ, never had faith, and so the were not only dead physically, they were spiritually dead, AND BEING DEAD, didn't KNOW THE WAY, so they couldn't FOLLOW HIM, they were not only FLESH dead, that first death no one has to fear they were SPIRITUALLY DEAD, and being spirituallly dead they were in sin, they weren't washed clean, they had not repented for their sins, the were of the world, they were ignorant of what it takes to NEVER DIE. Like THOSE who were saved, who came to faith while they yet lived, who were promised they would never die, who received the the gift of Salvation, who were born again, who DID KNOW THE WAY TO FOLLOW HIM and those WHO DID FOLLOW HIM DID SO BECAUSE THEY ROSE UP, RESSURECTED, FOLLOWED HIM And WITH WHAT BODY are we raised up? This is so 😔, but I believe that their eyes 👀 are blind to the Gospel and everything regarding His love and compassion towards them, as also their "father", the devil, hates and abhor the Lord, so will most of them do, right? We can only be light and salt among them, and pray for them, and hope that they will come to repentance in due time. ☺️ 🙏🏽

Well . . . based on your description of church, then I suppose you might be correct . . . . however . . . What about cooperation with other believers to do 'good works' in the community? Or, meeting needs of those who have fallen on hard times, and need a helping hand that can only be done in person, or an 'eye-to-eye' encouragement, Or, have family emergencies and have gone to hospital in the early morning hours and need support? Will an online posting for prayer help when we are alone in those situations help when we need help immediately? Or, how about church activities that are fun and uplifting? Or, getting involved in each others lives and 'being there' to show love and support for life events (births, weddings, graduations, funerals etc.), or, asking the hard face-to-face questions instead of an online 'fake' appearance about what is really going on in our lives ? ? ? (Don't tell me that does not happen) So . . . do I think Worthy is a waste of time? NO! Worthy is a great place to 'meet' other believers around the world in an 'digital way', and to open ourselves up to teaching and ideas that we may never get in our own local churches (let the reader study to show what is true). BUT, it is, (based on what I detailed earlier) an 'limited digital version', or 'shadow' of what Jesus really intends His living church body to be like. Given everything he has said in the past, I don't know. The Son of God incarnate in the flesh, 100% God and 100% man, coming to man, born of a virgin, proclaiming the only way to have life and go to Heaven through Himself. The Pope states and teaches you will go to Heaven if you are a decent and moral person alone (you can save yourself). Said another way, you do not need Jesus. To me, that is denying the only way to be saved, that we can save ourselves, and Jesus was not the incarnate Son of God in the flesh, and came for no reason. If we then can save ourselves, thus 1 John 4;3. Like us, this Pope has a sprit inside of him, but which one, what kind? I doubt it will ever happen, but I'd like to know what his answer would be. This particular Pope is unique from all other Popes. Are you familiar with the Jesuit branch, their purpose and history? To me, as the globes largest political-religious leader, when you deny Jesus as the only way for Salvation, that is the antichrist spirit.

Who is in charge, are we captains of our soul or are we slaves to sin or to God. Two choices and most people want the first, to believe that they are the god of their life. People do not want to think that there is a standard they have to live up to. People do not understand the depth, with, height or length of Gods love for us and that is largely because the neither know what holiness means or the utterly degrading and foul condition that sin is. Shalom, BeyondET. You could be right; after all, some trees are more adapted to the deserts than others. Many tree species thrive in the jungles of the world that wouldn't survive anywhere else. And, yes, trees, like animals, can go extinct. All we can know for sure is what God has revealed for us. And, we know that the Tree of Life will exist within the New Jerusalem that will land upon this earth after it has been purged with fire.

Here and there. Our dear sister @kwikphilly is acquainted with much of the testimony, so she knows more than most. Some things are hard to relate, my friend. Very hard. What can I say? I write about mercy and that is one thing, but then I was clueless for the longest time. We read in the scriptures how it pleases the Lord for men and women to not understand His words at various times, and we might assume this is because those who hear are terrible in some way. Not always. There are times when this is the mercy of Almighty God for the listener, as it surely was for me. I will offer a brief summary in the hope that it edifies the reader. My testimony relates to the topic you started very well, @Not of the World. I was clueless in the beginning. I wasn't the least bit religious (no church) and while I believed that God exists, the notion of knowing God was out of the question. Why would the incomprehensible God reveal Himself to an idiot like myself? One day, the impossible happened. I was 26 years old and fresh out of the U.S. military when out of the blue, the Spirit of the Lord came to me and said, You are the work of My hand, set aside for My purpose before you were born. The time has come for you to seek Me; if you will heed My voice and trust My words, you will stand before God. I knew He is God right away. I heeded His voice and trusted what He said, which is how I abandoned everything to follow Jesus Christ that very day. I'm not going to delve into detail beyond a summary, but that's sufficient to emphasize how I was clueless from the beginning. I did what the Lord said and everything fell into place precisely as He promised it would. I was pretty thick-headed back in those days, but the Lord is merciful to me. Over the next four years while I remained with a fellowship the Lord had sent me to (I was baptized in water there), He sent brothers and a sister to speak of things that would come to pass. I would wander aimlessly without a home for many years; I would forget the words of the Lord, but He would never forsake me; One brother came and anointed me with oil because the Spirit told him to do this thing. The Lord would pour His Spirit upon me at the proper time, he said. The hardest words were delivered by a sister whom I knew well. I had to die, she said, before that purpose which the Lord preserved me for would be revealed. She wept because this was a hard thing, but I didn't understand. Ah, but this pleased the Lord. After these words were delivered to me, the Lord sent a dream. In this dream, I saw a vision of the mountains which the Lord would send me to over two decades later. Those mountains are where I fell ill and found myself in the shadow of death. Everything delivered in those words came to pass, my friend. I wandered homeless and destitute for over 20 years with no place to rest my head. I was a transient and saw much of the U.S. during those years. I forgot the words of the Lord and His promise. I was close to death in those mountains I saw in the vision. The ridge line of the mountains I witnessed in the vision are identical to the ridge line of the Manzano Mountains which run through the center of New Mexico. I had to die before that purpose which the Lord preserved me for was revealed: The Lord chose to display His power in me so that His name will be glorified upon this earth. Those who had witnessed my lengthy illness (I suffered for two years), and how I was a dead man in the end, would know that when I stood before them healed and restored that the Lord Himself raised me up. Not man. I shared what the Lord did after He returned me to the land of the living in my previous post, so need to go into that again. Once I was restored to His satisfaction, the Lord called me to stand in the same spot where I had collapsed two years prior. I thought that was going to be my grave. When I arrived, the Lord declared that He is well-pleased with the work of His hand. I had suffered for many years and had walked in ignorance, but that time was finished. Now, the Lord said, nothing will be the same. I will never wander in ignorance for the rest of my days. I was lifted up in the Spirit so that I was no longer on this earth, and the Lord breathed on me. As He did this, a great wind of fire washed over me and also into me. This was the fulfillment of being anointed with oil. I didn't understand until that moment. The Lord has been so merciful and kind to me, my friend. He spared me from the knowledge of what I would endure from the beginning.

But what you don't seem to grasp is the definition of the English word "Offended" has changed over the past 300 years. It doesn't carry the meaning of the Greek and changes the context of why people will turn on each other. I don't disagree that we need to have a batter understanding of the Hebrew and Greek, but most people are not going to have access to that.

God creates man of the dust and the spirit (that will return to Him). The people having multiplied, He chooses one man , the man Abram. He makes promises to him that span from that day until the new heaven and earth, Abraham becomes the father of many nations. To him, Isaac and then to Jacob will be more promises, with more details. God is going to use this people not only to be born through this bloodline, but also to get HIS WORDS WRITTEN. Satan is going to oppose everything, at every step of the way, the best he can. So man, made in OUR IMAGE (Jesus looks just like the FATHER, so we know whos image He was created in) and the spirits from above begin to live in the flesh. Soon, they start backsliding, want an earthly king, get one, and he gets kicked out for David as everything goes well until his son Solomon comes to the throne and then sin begins to run rampant and God divides the nation into two nations. (One, the House of Judah, will produce the Messiah. The House of Israel will come a group of nations and a great nation which will be a blessing to the world) Now split into two, they will both SIN and then go into captivity but House of Israel about 200 years before and when they are released will become the lost sheep of the House of Israel, to be sifted through the nations on the way to the land God appointed them, forgetting who they are. The other will be set free from captivity to go back and build the temple for the birth of Christ. Once rejected and crucified in 40 years the temple is destroyed (not needing that anymore as now the 'lost sheep' will be receiving and taking the GOOD NEWS to the world. Now the House of Judah is scattered but they NEVER forget who they are, they are never 'lost' but they will will become a by word and a taunt????not that word. So the House of Israel go to the North and the West, in the isles, in great waters, to become a company of nations where God plants and they will grow and then grow too big again and then send people to another land and then lose it that land and that land becomes a great nation. We can't forget they were ALREADY into this dispersion 200 years before Christ ever walk the earth. So while JUDAH or the Jews will be BLINDED to "who Christ REALLY is" until the time of the end, THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL are definitely NOT BLINDED BECAUSE 'the sheep hear His voice' and come a running. Before Christ returns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, we are told that Satan and his angels will be tossed out of heaven and he is coming to overcome the world THROUGH DECEPTION and lying signs and wonders. Also told, GOD is sending His Two witnesses first and so we will be seeing MIRACLES on earth, just like those witnessed in the past. Only when Satan kills the two witnesses and they rise up, will Christ, as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS return with ALL the saints who have 'never died' because they followed Christ to the Kingdom of God. That is when all those who didn't FOLLOW (they didn't know the way) will either be resurrected from the dead (or remain 'dead' till the end of the 1000 years) The day of the Lord begins in which "the priests" who returned with Christ to teach the 'resurrected dead' while they try to get their names written in the book of life. At the end of that day (1000) years, Satan is loosed and fire comes down from heaven and destroys those who follow him. Then the resurrected dead stand at the GWTJ followed by hell death and the sea giving up their dead and either their names are found in the book of life (2nd resurrection) or they go into the lake of fire which is the death of the body and the soul THE PUNISHMENT BEING DEATH, which is the end, the end forever, never can even be any sort of a resurrection EVER AGAIN because no one and nothing left, EVEN THE SMOKE is gone up and VANISHED. New Heaven and New Earth The only way to go to heaven is at the death of the flesh body. There is no other way and no other time. Those who die and follow Him to heaven will follow Him to earth to rule and reign. The earth is the goal. This way the CHURCH aka the alive and remaining those who endure to the end and to receive the promises are HERE ON EARTH until Christ returns and He has those on earth who will Glorify Him and those He brings with Him. This makes it so that those who are made new creatures and are told they will never die, never die but follow Him and are brought back with Him. EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN. This makes it so those who never die ARE NEVER RESURRECTED OUT FROM THE DEAD, THE DEAD who, incidentally, ARE BOTH DEAD and have died. This allows for all the men from Kings on down to bond servants whos flesh become supper, those tossed into the wine press, the tares who are gathered and burn, the remnant who are killed with the sword and all who have ever died before that having not been born from above, to POSSIBLY BE AROUND for the Lords Day. THOSE who ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN until Christ returns are CHANGED TO BE EVER WITH THE LORD. (IMMORTAL) THAT MEANS THERE IS NO ONE LEFT ALIVE AND REMAINING AFTER THAT. SINCE ALL THAT ARE CHANGED ARE EVER WITH THE LORD So ONCE THE WORD OF GOD HAS GONE OUT UNTO THE WHOLE WORLD, those who take the mark have got to die. Everyone who takes the mark of the beast dies and and the alive and remaining are changed. AKA The HARVEST is the tares are bundled and burned and the saved are gathered to Him. THEN The dead are resurrected, the EXACT SAME DEAD who will stand at the GWTJ in 1000 years. NO ONE who has been made a new creature, who has never died, who has received eternal life, is WAITING FOR A 2ND RESURRECTION. They have been resurrected ALREADY. There are NOT 2 RESURRECTIONS written of, IN THE WORDS OF GOD, for the living and/or the never die. THERE is NOTHING written that says there is a resurrection of the spirit and ANOTHER resurrection of a dead carcass. And until SOMEONE SHOWS THAT TO BE FALSE, it shouldn't ever be taught.

In this particular case if you look up the meaning of the word offended, you will find that an obsolete meaning is fall away. Merriam Webster say so anyway. So basically if we are going to use the KJV we need to understand changes in the English language in the past few hundred years.

In last Sunday’s service, in the pastor’s sermon, he mentioned something I was aware of already. If each born-again Christian would plant the seed of the Gospel, tell someone about what Jesus did for them. If only one of those people came to the Lord and got saved, look at the explosion of people that would not see hell. Experts’ best guesstimates are that 108 billion people have ever lived. Of that number, based on history, I must assume the majority are in torment right now.

The word in Greek is 'skandaliso', which is a difficult word to translate as there is no direct equivalent in English. It can mean "cause to trip" (literally or morally), "cause to fall away", "take offence at", or "give offence to" (hence the English word 'scandalise'). In this particular passage, it's in the passive mood, so these people are being led astray/ being offended/ being caused to backslide. So it's not a case of one translation being 'right' and the other 'wrong' - both are attempts to make the sentence make sense in English. This is a common issue in translating any language - there's often more than one possible way to do it.

Many Catholics are in bondage to the Catholic dogma. They are taught to reject the authority of the RCC and pope is an unpardonable sin and is the same as rejecting Christ himself. This keeps many who are struggling in their faith in RCC from leaving.

There was an article just today about the number of people who profess belief in God has dropped. It's my personal belief that for many, Christianity is a hobby and many in the Church don't really know God. On top of that, our government keeps trying to silence Christians while proudly parading sin in public. The great apostasy seems VERY near. I imagine that when the rapture occurs, not many people will really notice. Even Jesus said in Luke, when the son of man returns, will he really find faith on the earth?
