In cheating just a little, getting a bit of theologian's references: kinsman redeemer
-
nearest kinsman = from the song: "Cover Me"

No, not really. We do have evidence of fossilized creatures found in portions, and many cases, fully skeletal formations. As for life on other planets, if it's UFOs you're pertaining to, it's merely a hypothesis based on countless sightings. Not a sin for having beliefs in either of these things. One can be proven, the other is speculation. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles

Now Jayne, don't bail on us now... There are a good many here that do not approve of Game of Thrones. Myself included. It is or was a program that like most soap operas, are and can be addictive. I did like movies like, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc. Others like the Harry Potter sequels, well, a little too dark and witchy for me personally. Anyway, all that aside, you're loved and needed here at Worthy, so not so fast on taking off. Hope this message gets to you somehow. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles

Welcome to Worthy, Linkerargil. Going over your post, I couldn't help but sense a bit of procrastination, and a little lack of motivation. Nothing will happen just waiting for something that suits you. We can certainly pray, but God does expect us to take a few responsible steps on our own behalf. Then He can back up all attempts made, though it might not be the first or second, and so on. You might try taking advantage of a temporal opportunity, even if it does not match what you really want in the long-term. Maybe enroll in a class or two and take up some time, to see what's out there in making a permanent decision. Some careers fall though after some years, and it's good to have an alternate to fall back on. The more diverse the experiences attained, the better in opening more doors to future opportunities. It also makes for a good resume, and looks more impressive to employers. All the best in your endeavors. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles

Not to torque the topic out so quickly, but concerning heritage Paul also says this: Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither bond nor free, neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. KJV And I'll leave it with that, not taking sides on the so-called 'spiritual Israel'. God bless! Okay so, I was contemplating on this dream, and a couple of things did come to mind. Just my personal take. To me, butterflies are delightful, mostly beautiful little creatures. Really neat to watch as they flutter about, going from flower to flower, and are basically 'pollinators'. And you mentioned feeling sad and unloved in your dream. Now this could be way out there, but I've gotta ask this. Would you have any desire to have more children, and could they possibly bring more joy and love to your present/future life as it now stands? Just a thought... I'm trying to look at butterflies here as a symbolic thing, as it must have been to you. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles

I'll admit to not being very good at dream interpretation. Just a couple of questions though. You were frightened by these butterflies, even after your daughter said they loved you. Okay so, dreams commonly don't make a lot of sense. But how did you also feel after the voice said, 'let them touch you'? Were you still afraid, or did the dream end there? Maybe someone has something on this. Dreams do kinda fascinate me, and many of mine have had some significant meaning. These would be out-of-the-ordinary situations, and not so symbolic. God bless! Although I have a few Christian acquaintances who watch Game of Thrones, I've never seen it personally. Perhaps that might be it. As you've mentioned, the program was something you got involved with before getting saved, but it's something you wish to see it to the end of the final season. Well, if conviction isn't troublesome concerning it, far be it from me to pass judgement. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles

What does " pledge to God"mean?
BeauJangles replied to Figure of eighty's topic in General Discussion
One thought did occur to me. Unless you've had an ultrasound to determine the gender of your child, have you given any thought that it might be a boy? If so, did you think of any names for one? God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles -
What does " pledge to God"mean?
BeauJangles replied to Figure of eighty's topic in General Discussion
It could perhaps mean given or devoted to God upon birth. P.S. ( added ) I just now checked dr3032's post. That sums it up pretty well. -
How can I make sure my loved one is in heaven?
BeauJangles replied to Ryan2203's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Let me add something that may be of comfort to you, Ryan. I'm not sure of your locale, but let's assume it's in the USA. This I can assure you, because my sister was a charge nurse in the ICU ( intensive care unit ) at our city's hospital for 20 years. In the case your friend spent any time in a hospital's care before her passing, every chance and opportunity is given by either clergy, such as a chaplain, or those in the nursing staff, for witnessing and leading one to salvation in Christ Jesus. Since she was a 'chosen one', I think the good Lord would see to the chance for her to meet the Messiah before she did pass away. Perhaps this might give you some hope, and God bless. Is swearing a serious sin?
BeauJangles replied to Ryan2203's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
No, Ryan. You won't go to Hell for swearing, but it's not a godly thing to do. Using the Lord's name in vain in words cursing His holy name, is certainly displeasing to Him. It's also in the Ten Commandments, and something I would say is a 'biggie'. One can not be in the world today, and help but hear somebody swearing now and then. But it would be a good thing to limit your exposure to movies that use derogatory language such as swearing. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles -
Some really thoughtful questions, Leyla. And I couldn't begin to answer them. But as a child camping out in the Sierra Mountains, where the largest and alleged oldest trees are, ( Sequoia Redwoods ) I stumbled on a few very tiny clam shell halves. I'm no scientific expert, but this must mean seawater must have reached these levels at one time. And missmuffet is right in saying, if the bible says there was a flood, surely there was one. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles

In need of help and confirmation
BeauJangles replied to hyd241's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Hi, hyb. Listen closely. If you truly accepted Christ as Saviour and Lord, HE has accepted you! Please understand, as Willa said giving you this scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to bear more tempted than which ye are able; but will with the temptation make a way for you to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. KJV Now, this problem is more common than you could ever realize. And you can learn to overcome. You may stumble and fall, and a number of times. But if you are sincere, and I have every reason to believe you are, over time this will begin to dwindle. Eventually, you'll be a victor over this. God bless you, and I'm praying for you. Shalom, David/BeauJangles -
A gentleman known as Mike Warnke, apparently sold his soul, and went on into satanism as a high priest. Later on he joined the Navy as a medic, and turned his life over to Jesus in boot camp. Some of his service buddies had been witnessing and praying for him. After his tour of duty, he authored several books, and entered into evangelism. Pretty apparent the Lord must have forgiven him. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles

Reminds me of the opening lines to the hymn by the same title: Blessed assurance Jesus is mine Oh what a foretaste of glory divine I also really admired Tzephanyahu's post of living in the present. Although as I am growing older, my sights are more and more set on what is to be. Come quickly Lord Jesus. Shalom, David/BeauJangles

I feel cursed by Gof like he turned away from me.
BeauJangles replied to Figure of eighty's topic in General Discussion
Yes dear sister, you are going through some tremendous stress! I take it that this is your first pregnancy, and it is causing a lot of hormonal and emotional changes in your body and mind. It may or may not be causing some of the sleep and dream disturbances, I couldn't be positive of that. Pay no mind to the numbers of your time card, it's merely just a matter of coincidence. Pray and continue to read the Word of God. Drench your thoughts in positive scriptures. I'm praying for you as well. Jesus does love you! God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles -
Will Worthy Ministries get shut down?
BeauJangles replied to JoeCanada's topic in General Discussion
If someone remains in leadership of this nation, who is willing to protect its constitutional rights, I'd say Worthy is good until this ceases to exist. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles -
Great inspirational poem, turtletwo. Also loved being 'emotie-gathered' as well. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
