  1. Wow, okay so your atheist friend asked you if she was going to Hell? Then obviously she does believe in something. Good advice from both Sower and MissMuffet, there's plenty of opportunity where gentle but effective tact can be applied in sharing the gospel with your friend. Pray first, on how you can approach the subject, and be ready with bible in hand. It's also important to have a good uninterrupted place for the two of you to converse with. Some are a bit intimidated, and are easily embarrassed. She'll have more questions also, but you might not have all the answers. And that's okay for now. One very important thing here, is sharing how loving our Saviour really is, and wishes all to come to a saving knowledge in Him, and not wanting any to perish. Your friend may need some time to process all this out, and ponder her eternity. But, if and when she's ready to ask Jesus into her heart, you can lead her in the sinners prayer. I'm sure you're aware probably, the necessity of bringing a novice in Christ along with bible study, and all that. If you attend a good bible believing church, perhaps you could invite her to come with you. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  2. Yes, I've heard this passage quoted before, and it was fulfilled by the disciples and apostles in a tremendous sense. However, with each successive age, the work of the gospel did excel in reaching the four corners of the world. I also believe in the miraculous as well, but the reason we in America don't see so much of this could be that we've become an disbelieving generation. Then I am reminded of Jesus Himself, and how He was not able to do too many of His mighty miracles in Nazareth, due to their doubt and unbelief. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  3. For reasons obvious, I find this even more astonishing than thinking the earth is the center of the universe as we know it. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  4. What is tragic, is the indoctrination of the LGBT community's 'brain washing' tactics, and how they convince the vulnerable into thinking they were simply "born that way" and that God "made them to be" etc. etc. And Even twisting the scriptures, such as David and Jonathan's love for one another into being more than what it was. This just goes on and on, sadly. Pedophilia on the other hand, is a whole different category of perversity, that is not primarily in the same sex abuse situation. Victims of this sort of thing, can carry such guilt as to thinking they could be gay as a result of their experience(s) of being abused. Also a tragic thing, psychologically damaging, and leading towards continual lifetime problems. I think I've said enough on this topic. However, there are Christian ministries for both of these groups, and have been known to make tremendous strides in healing past and present struggles. It's no easy battle. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  5. This pretty well sums it up for me. Beautifully and well stated. Thanks, missmuffet. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  6. Well, fortunately my parents took care of that 'situation' sometime shortly after my birth. Also not to throw a stick into the spokes once again, and for the sake of not falling towards condemnation: Romans 3:29-30 Galatians 5:2+6 God bless! David/BeauJangles
  7. I personally don't celebrate Easter or Christmas, in the so-called 'traditional' ways we have grown accustomed or obligated to. What is important to me, is that our Saviour gave up His rightful throne in Heaven, came to earth and gave His life, in order that I could come to a saving knowledge of Him. Also that He rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven again, and sits at the right hand of God the Father, ever making intercession for my cause. Because of all these wonderful things He has and is doing, is cause for much rejoicing, and that I do. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  8. If this man is not a Christian and you are, then I'd say it's time to move on. The relationship as it now stands after five years is a bit sketchy, and lacks some information. The whole thing could be a lot more complicated than it may appear, and I wouldn't want to pass any snap judgement on it. But from what you're saying, you wish to break it up. The love you have may always be there, but the Lord will help you if it is His will for your life. Perhaps praying for God's direction, can ease these feelings. Sometimes we need to get very specific with Him, and He is faithful to guide His children. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  9. I wouldn't say rules exactly, but some strong admonishments. One biggie: Stay away from the occult, and help steer as many from it as possible. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  10. Well, here we are at the end of what appears to be a "pinned" topic of page seven. I suppose no further entries are in at this time, but just an over-view comment... Great scriptures all! Nice to scan through these, and they were a real blessing to have them shared with those who took the time to make this thread. Thanks, and God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  11. Hi Jacob, and welcome to Worthy. I'd admit to the same as my brother Tzephanyahu here, and hope you'll feel comfortable enough to address the issues you might be having. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  12. Of course it was according to the Law, as was should be. However, there's more to it, as highlighted in red. It meant a confirmed miracle, and through the priests, the truth of what the Messiah was doing spread from there and became totally indisputable. It also caused them envy. And they became extremely incensed, and viciously angry as well. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  13. Got a glimpse of this when I first turned on my computer this morning. Pretty cool. Nice to see it again, and thanks for sharing. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  14. No not really. It rains on the just and the unjust alike. This must also include any lightening that may occur with a storm as well. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  15. From checking John's description of the New Jerusalem being 1,200 'stadia', and also as high as it is long. In other words, the modern day term: foursquare. Rev 21:15-17 This to me, would indicate a cube shape rather than pyramid. It would be difficult for me to think that God's plan for the Holy City would be taken from Egyptian design for some reason. Of course, I could be wrong and it wouldn't be my first mistake. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  16. That is so very sweet, brother Francesco. Wishing the same to you, and all here at Worthy, including extended family as well. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles

  18. Not to throw a stick into the spokes, but this has me totally confused. Could someone explain where this is and/or comes from? I could always stand a chance for learning something not previously made aware of. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  19. I don't know of any contradictions personally. Perhaps, it may be the particular interpretation of some biblical translations that might differ a bit from others. None the less, I believe the Word of God stands true. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  20. Dear sister, yes by all means, do pray for him to come to Christ as you have. But seek the Lord whether you should stay with him, since you aren't married yet. Seems like a lot of negativity on his side right now, because he may be feeling convicted. No, you can not convert him. You are God's example, and He will do the work. Praying for you. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  21. This scripture came to mind, Devoted. It is one my dear mother shared with me, so many years ago. God bless. 1 Kings 19:11-21 And he said, go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: and after the earthquake, a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire was a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face into his mantle, and he went out, and stood at the entering of his cave. And behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, what doest thou hear Elijah? KJV So, what does this mean exactly? Well, the Lord is surely not going to yell at you! There could come a time where an urgency is sensed. But, God will not nag you with a driving insisting rant. His leading is gentle, loving and kind. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  22. These verses deal with a woman not usurping authority over that of a man's in the church. The Lord is desirous of His hand-maidens sharing every aspect of the gospel with others. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  23. My brother, of course He forgives! Our Lord knows we are but dust, with all the short-comings, faults, and also the repeated failures, as well. His great compassion towards us, has no limitations, and no boundaries. In this short life, we will never fully understand, the depth of His awesome love for us. Take comfort in this. God bless you in His abundance. Shalom, David/BeauJangles
  24. Tremendous scriptural commentary, and post, PromisesPromises. I had in mind to take a few thoughts out of it, but then thought better! The entirety of it is really brilliant. Nice work! Just a thought: The Apostle Paul, was of a strict self-placement, on his own personal life in servitude before Christ, he also addressed the Church of Corinth in the verse below. Basically it meant the importance of living on the straight and narrow. And he did do so. God bless. Shalom, David/BeauJangles 1st Corinthians 9:27 But I keep my body, and bring it into subjection: lest by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway. KJV
  25. You did the right thing, Kay. All here are in agreement about it. Good on you. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles
