there is a huge difference in having absolute rights to declassify something and having absolute rights over the US citizens....   good grief....

IMO, there is a huge difference in having the absolute right and the legal right to declassify something. Being POTUS should fall into the latter.

I did not vote for Trump -- but I do know this ... Reagan tried to raise funds for fighting communism in central America.

Nixon failed to admit that someone on his staff spied on the Democrats without his knowing about it.

What did Trump do -- he dared to meet with foreign delegates as President of the United Stated without inviting democrat media interests to the party. And dared to not be happy about Obama spying on him during his run for presidency - and even after he was elected President.

What did Clinton do - left a few Americans in Libya to die - in one of her embassies ... or was it the federal crimes related to state secrets and her email server? Can't remember which.

======================================================

But of course... this thread is not about any of that. This thread is about the Pope representing all Christians.

Good point.  But you will find that, if you put 'Trump' in the thread title, all of the Trump dislikers will come like bees to a hivel and will derail the thread.

No there isn't.  A President has the ABSOLUTE right to declassify or classify and the statute has been provided to you.  Shall I give you another of those straw men to battle?

Here is what the Bible actually and more correctly says:

(2Co 10:4)  For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

It's talking about spiritual warfare, not the pettiness and immature one-liner insults that lace your posts.

Constitutional statue, or one man's opinion about what he called  the "essentially unlimited authority to declassify at will."

"Essentially unlimited" isn't absolute. The only absolute rights I recognize belong to our Creator.

Hatred of Trump is one such stronghold.

The legal right, or as Trump claimed the "absolute right" to declassify at their discretion?

The link is self explanatory.

Where did Trump say anything about an  "essentially unlimited authority to declassify at will?"

Trump said that he absolutely does have that right.

Trump saying that he absolutely has the right to disclose what he disclosed is NOT the same thing as claiming that he has the absolute authority to declassify anything he wants to, at will.

You have repeatedly misrepresented and twisted his words in order that you could condemn him.  And what' worse, is that you are condemning for something he didn't really say.  It is a really fraudulent way to  carry on a conversation.   It's pretty disgraceful to twist someone's words around like that.
