I haven't seen nor approved of any Judaizers on the forum.   As the others so much like to say "REPORTED".

So, then,  WHO started Christmas ?

Remember, if it started rcc, it still is like rcc.  (a tree brings forth fruit after its own kind)

Or, if that is still okay how about doing this holiday?

Just 'adapt' it somehow, right ? :   "Make it" somehow, 'Christian' >>

her point is that you don't need to bring up the RCC in every thread.

Notice this is a thread about something the rcc started.  Or is that too obvious ?

THis is handled in another thread, (or maybe another website?) .

It has nothing to do with whether to celebrate pagan holidays or not, which not one of the Apostles ever condoned nor approved of.

Is this  even ever disputed? >>

"Where Did Christmas Originate?

Did you know that there were Christmas celebrations in Rome long before there were any in Jerusalem? How could a holiday that most associate with Jesus Christ of Nazareth have its origins in Babylon and Egypt many centuries before His birth? And how could such a holiday come to be so widely accepted as Christian?

To help us understand, we can look at the word "Christmas" itself. It means "mass of Christ," and has its origins in the practices of the Roman Catholic Church."

You know, the problem is that all these kind of arguments have been seen before. I have never been to a Christian forum where these same arguments don't get made every single year. This is why many people laugh and joke about it because nothing you have said is new. So one has to ask if it really is worth going into it again if it simply has the same results:rolleyes:

If you don't like the word Christmas, i'm sure we could come up with a new word. But the fact is that the modern celebration on 25 December has absolutely nothing to do with either the pagan holidays or the RCC. It's apples and oranges. I have celebrated Christmas every year of my life and it is always a joyous occasion.  We come together as a family and celebrate the birth of Christ so do many others. There is no evidence that in any of this there is any pagan worship or even any connection to it. Just because things look similar does not mean they are the same.

Furthermore, if you don't want to celebrate it that is fine. I will continue to go with the tradition of my family. I am not doing anything wrong in doing so.  :)

The Romanite mass is Blasphemy, that's why I call the mass as blasphemous, Romanites spit in Jesus' face and say your Atonement was not good enough!

The RCC didn't invent Christmas.  And I've no idea what 'Mawlid' has to do with anything in this thread since no Christian observes that holiday. From rcg.org:

The True Origin of Christmas

By David C. Pack

Nearly all aspects of Christmas observance have their roots in Roman custom and religion. Consider the following admission from a large American newspaper (The Buffalo News, Nov. 22, 1984): “The earliest reference to Christmas being marked on Dec. 25 comes from the second century after Jesus' birth. It is considered likely the first Christmas celebrations were in reaction to the Roman Saturnalia, a harvest festival that marked the winter solstice—the return of the sun—and honored Saturn, the god of sowing. Saturnalia was a rowdy time, much opposed by the more austere leaders among the still-minority Christian sect. Christmas developed, one scholar says, as a means of replacing worship of the sun with worship of the Son. By 529 A.D., after Christianity had become the official state religion of the Roman Empire, Emperor Justinian made Christmas a civic holiday. The celebration of Christmas reached its peak—some would say its worst moments—in the medieval period when it became a time for conspicuous consumption and unequaled revelry.”

Other one ,   I aint ever even heard of a buffalo that don't butt every now and again.    Just careful on where it drops the chip bombs.

I don't know if you've ever seen one get serious, but it is quite a sight....   we saw two big bulls get into a fight two years ago and it was really kind of frightening just to watch.   They are much stronger than cows.   grunting and throwing up dirt with their front feet and working around to get under the other and using their heads and shoulders completely lift each  other off the ground.....    2000 pounds kind of tossed up in the air...  luckily they were not really close.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
