I'm kinda talking about looking forward to the day you actually die.

I feel it would displease God but ...I personally feel my life is a waste of time ...just feel I'm waiting for heaven at this point.

I am willing to say that those who are His do look forward to being with Him and are sick of the sin infested world we live in.  I believe that is a common desire among Christians.  Thing is, while we are on this earth, we are to be about His business.  Some days that may be telling someone about God, others it may be praying for people and their needs, other days it may be just resting in the Lord in order to be closer to Him, while other days it may be meeting the needs of a stranger.  Point is, doing His will while we wait.

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

my life is a waste of time

I would then ask if you are saved? And if you are saved, saved from what? What were you saved from, that Jesus left His throne in heaven, came down to this sin infected, satan ruled earth, and submitted Himself to the tortures of whippings, beatings, spit on, stripped naked and humiliated, crowned with thorns, crucified and pierced with a spear, and gave up His life. For you, Figure of eighty. Was your destiny an eternity in a never ending burning lake of fire? Don't you feel any sense of moral obligation,  or desire to show your Savior how grateful you are by your submitting your all, your utmost.
I believe every saved individual longs for heaven, and the ending of the pains of this temporary life on earth. I understand and agree with you Figure of eighty, that I also look forward to be with the Lord in heaven. But I'm old, so my time is getting short. And I will do my best to use it wisely, storing up my sheaves, gifts, works, etc. to leave at the foot/altar of our Lord.

Psalms 126, 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Ephesians 5:15-16 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called

1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God

Romans 13:11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.

When you wake up each morning, simply ask God; "Lord, help/allow me be a blessing to someone this day, or to you, Lord"
Then, watch what happens. You won't have any more time to waste.
And
you will be blessed, Figure of eighty eight!
Your time will become precious.

Question: "How can believers be in the world, but not of the world?"

Answer:
When we read of the "world" in the New Testament, we are reading the Greek word cosmos. Cosmos most often refers to the inhabited earth and the people who live on the earth, which functions apart from God. Satan is the ruler of this "cosmos" (John 12:31; 16:11; 1 John 5:19). By the simple definition that the word world refers to a world system ruled by Satan, we can more readily appreciate Christ's claims that believers are no longer of the world—we are no longer ruled by sin, nor are we bound by the principles of the world. In addition, we are being changed into the image of Christ, causing our interest in the things of the world to become less and less as we mature in Christ.

Believers in Jesus Christ are simply in the world—physically present—but not of it, not part of its values (John 17:14-15). As believers, we should be set apart from the world. This is the meaning of being holy and living a holy, righteous life—to be set apart. We are not to engage in the sinful activities the world promotes, nor are we to retain the insipid, corrupt mind that the world creates. Rather, we are to conform ourselves, and our minds, to that of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). This is a daily activity and commitment.

We must also understand that being in the world, but not of it, is necessary if we are to be a light to those who are in spiritual darkness. We are to live in such a way that those outside the faith see our good deeds and our manner and know that there is something “different” about us. Christians who make every effort to live, think and act like those who do not know Christ do Him a great disservice. Even the heathen knows that “by their fruits you shall know them,” and as Christians, we should exhibit the fruit of the Spirit within us.

Being “in” the world also means we can enjoy the things of the world, such as the beautiful creation God has given us, but we are not to immerse ourselves in what the world values, nor are we to chase after worldly pleasures. Pleasure is no longer our calling in life, as it once was, but rather the worship of God.

Gee thanks, me too. :)  For I can count my own death as gain as Paul said he would count his own death. BUT Paul also knew he had a purpose; that being to serve his Lord  here while still in the flesh, sharing of the gospel of Jesus. A purpose served not by his doing many good deeds all of  which he said God counts as profane garbage or absolute body waste and loss; but instead by sharing of the gospel of Jesus as commanded by God of all his bond-servant saints in Christ Jesus' care.

Life is a waste if it is spent trying to out good deed anyone for the purpose of adding to what God has already done. There simply is no merit whatsoever to the good deeds of any man that can add to God's mercy and grace shown by His son Jesus at the cross, his shed blood at Calvary. All the works all the good deeds, they are loss, not just irrelevant, but loss if done to supplement the mercy of God and the sacrifice made by Jesus, God's son and master of all that will be saved to eternal life with God.

Philippians 3 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not wearisome, but to you it is necessary.

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

For we are the circumcision, who in spirit serve God; and glory in Christ Jesus, not having confidence in the flesh.

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other thinketh he may have confidence in the flesh, I more,

Being circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee:

According to zeal, persecuting the church of God; according to the justice that is in the law, conversing without blame.

But the things that were gain to me, the same I have counted loss for Christ.

Furthermore I count all things to be but loss for the excellent knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but as dung, that I may gain Christ:

And may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, which is of God, justice in faith:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death,

If by any means I may attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.

Not as though I has already attained, or were already perfect; but I follow after, if I may by any means apprehend, wherein I am also apprehended by Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do: forgetting the things that are behind, and stretching forth myself to those that are before,

I press towards the mark, to the prize of the supernal vocation of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded; and if in any thing you be otherwise minded, this also God will reveal to you.

Nevertheless whereunto we are come, that we be of the same mind, let us also continue in the same rule.

Be ye followers of me, brethren, and observe them who walk so as you have our model.

 For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping), that they are enemies of the cross of Christ;

Whose end is destruction; whose God is their belly; and whose glory is in their shame; who mind earthly things.

But our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself.

Heb 12:1  Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Heb 12:2  looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

The joy of heaven is what we have to look forward to and is what keeps us going.  We know it will all be worth it someday.  This is what kept Jesus going and helped Him to even endure the cross.  So we are admonished to endure the evil of this world for yet a little while, till the full number of believers have come to salvation.  God is waiting because He doesn't want any to be lost.  So we need to do our part in bringing God's kingdom to earth.  We need to be living close to God here, walking in the Spirit in compassionate obedience, and telling as many as we can about God's grace and redemption; those who refuse God's grace also need to hear about his wrath.

I think we all feel like that sometimes re dying and being with the Lord, especially in times of severe trials.    About your life being a waste of time, look for small ways to be a blessing to others.   You never know what someone else is going through....you might mean the world to them by just being kind or helping them in some small ways.    I recall you are young....be grateful for things in your life such as walking and being able to get around still.   Look for other things to be thankful for....get your eyes on the good (blessings) God has given you.  Rejoice.... although we might experience times of trials or sadness, these days will pass.

I know how that feels..

Hating ones life in this world is Biblical..

John 12: KJV

25 "He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."

The more we are aware of the faultiness of this world and our lives in it and the more we know about the perfection that is God and the transformation that awaits us in eternity with Him the more we will be unsatisfied with our life in this world.. We shall hate our faultiness and hate the corruption and suffering we see around us..

Of course we can hope to be granted an early mark out of this life, but we have to have faith in God and allow Him to call us out when He deems it the right time.. While we are here we should just do our best to love others and share the Hope we have in God and the Way He has made to Redeem us..

or does this "

Will God be made if we look forward to heaven more so than our life here on Earth?" mean will God be 'mad', as in cross with us?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
