Ah, I neglected to mention that I was an atheist when our Father delivered me to his Son early in 2017. God is so good!

I also was an atheist ......God seems  to have a certain affinity for atheists ..... a lot of them become Believers! Let this be a warning for all of you atheists in the audience ...... “ The Fool has said- There is no God”.......God’s Love extends to Fool’s .....YOU could be the next Fool to have his  eyes opened ! You can run, but you can’t hide....

What lead you to christianity?

Jesus the Christ :amen:

YLT) Isaiah 65:1 I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, 'Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.

Romans 10:20 and Isaiah is very bold, and saith, 'I was found by those not seeking Me; I became manifest to those not inquiring after Me;'

I always loved Jesus since I was a child.   When someone told me how they found peace with God through accepting Christ as their Savior, it came naturally to me.   My childhood church didn't explain salvation so I never realized about a personal faith in Christ before.

Hi, Welcome to the community that is Worthy Christian Forums.

What lead you to christianity?

I guess there is a lengthier testimony under testimonies forum, but in short God did. God answers prayer. He answered the prayers of others that I be turned about from my sin against God to my turning to Jesus. I had no interest in all that, but God did. and He had me turned about. I didn't even want it at the time, didn't matter for God answers prayers.

The first scriptures I was led to read was the Book of Job, starting at what is called chapter 12, then 11 then all of Job.

It has been a wild ride ever since, and sure is a grand one; as once was popular a phrase to say about great fun adventure the very best of things available, it's an "E ticket ride!"

I can only say by seeing the path I have been on since I was 9yo, when I was saved from drowning by someone who wasn't there before, or after.

Then going to Sunday school, until they stopped giving us sixpence. (in 1962) Parents didn't mind, they were not churchgoers.

Lots of sins & getting into trouble, until I befriended a leader of a rock band, who was studying with the JW's, so I did, that was 20yrs later.

Knew Jw's were wrong, so next 30yrs, there was 10yrs Anglican, 5yrs Baptist & 15yrs Pentecostal, before knowing the truth now.

Included in that 30yrs was in 1989 I thought I became born again one day, now I know being saved is over a lifetime of conforming to Christ.

So the last 15yrs have been the most rewarding, harder, as there are lots of opposition from others in churches.

I am amazed how few people want to hear the truth, as it is outside their comfort zone, but I will keep going & growing.

Just curious.

well, for me that kind of a long story...…   I grew up in a Church of Christ....    I knew about Jesus from my earliest days....    but I didn't find out that I really didn't know him till my mid 40's.    I was one of those hot shot Christian guys that had the world by the tail...     One day I picked up a book by the name of Chariots of the Gods.  Well the book sort of hit a maybe he's got something here buttons in my mind and I decided I'd look into it in more depth....   that book leads to deciding that the ancient aliens that they speak of are really angels from the dark side and comes the introduction to the occult.....    somewhere along the line I decided I needed to know more about that in order to fight it and keep it at bay.....    some Japanese General I had read teaching that you need to know your enemy to defeat him...….     So I decided to go into a very deep researching of the Occult and how the Devil works and if I could find why in the world he had made the decisions he made...

I am sure all this time God was sitting back with a smile on his face saying, "Well this should be interesting."  LoL

To make a long story short and bypass some things I really can't talk about, it came to pass  that the more you learn about the dark side the more they pay attention to you; and it starts a really long spiral down that isn't really apparent until one night you end up confronting the devil on a personal level.....    Paraphrasing the discussion into well you know all about us so are you ready to join our side.....    and showing all the short term good reasons to do so...         And it was at that point that the Lord let me understand that I had absolutely no power or authority to deal with any of the dark side....   I couldn't even tell them to go away....

So, I guess my cry for help being answered and the Holy Spirit intervening on my behalf could be considered my real introduction to Jesus.    I made Jesus only one promise at that time and that was that I realized I could not help myself and I was his to do with as he pleased.    When you realize you have put yourself at the edge of an abyss and loosing your balance you really have only one choice.....      Fall, or give it all to him and put it into his hands.

So I guess I could just say that the Devil lead me to the saving knowledge of Christ.....     Knowing all about Jesus isn't the same as knowing him as one's Lord....    and that close relationship has grown since that night when he snatched me out of Satan's grasp.   And that still leaves me wondering "Who am I that he would do such a thing for me?"

And to this day I get reminders from the Holy Spirit telling me that I still can't deal in the spiritual realm with any authority.....   that's his Job..   and we need to be close, for that's the only protection from the dark ones that is available to any mortal.     I could have saved myself a lot of grief and worry had I just read Ephesians and taken it to heart....

But in the end also I think I experienced the same thing that Lucifer did when he fell...…    Like me he wanted to do it all himself....     so what's the difference?   He was in a position to know better....     and now I'm in a position to know better....   and I do not think I will take Lucifer's road...   ever....

What made me a serious Christian was reading about people who have seen heaven/hell and god/Jesus on youtube and the internet in general. Check out Bill wiese 23 minutes in hell and kat kerrs revealing heaven books. They are both on youtube as well. Also, I find evolution bizarre and not believable and I find god creating this complex, well made universe much more believable than the universe forming by chance.

Also there are documents outside the bible that confirm Jesus existence and the fact he was crucified. So if he was lying that he was the son of god then why would he get crucified? Why wouldn't he back down? Same with the disciples. They were mostly brutally murdered. The disciples didn't back down because they saw the risen Christ and miracles. Makes sense to me.

Plus there are near-death experiences that confirm heaven/hell and many similarities among them such as colours we haven't seen on earth, beautiful music that words can't describe, feeling great levels of peace, joy and love to name a few. Gods popularity also makes me naturally inquisitive and then there is bible prophecy that has come true and where written beforehand. Oh and lastly there's the bible :D

I just know god and Jesus are real and it gives me joy, peace and hope to in this life :)

Greetings Ineedhugs,    I know this is hard to believe, but when I was in both HS & then collage my teachers told us evolution is a theory, it was never proven in the ways they had hoped it would be proven. In collage I think it was a Geology professor who said evolution was never proven. I was 1 of the last American kids to be taught this (I guess). Today they tell you it's a fact, but it isn't. I never believed in evolution, but yes you are right that the more we learn about the complexities of life & the universe then the more likely it becomes that evolution is false and God is true. Well of course God is true.

Given the complexities of the universe, if God was to tell us, even what we know now in 2020, think about how big the book of Genesis would have to be.

Keep believing God is real especially because as you go through this thing called life your faith will be tested and retested, much more than you'd hope for right now. Never give it up.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
