This post is mainly directed to those in my age group, although everyone’s comments are welcome.

As a boy 65 years ago growing up, 50 years ago as a young adult. Had I got out of bed one morning, and instantly seen the world as it is today, what would I have thought? How did this happen all of a sudden?

Sixty-five years ago, going to first grade in grade school; being taught evolution, gender pronouns, gender neutrality. Allowed to identify myself as a female, and use the girls’ bathrooms and dressing rooms. Born a male, allowed to compete in girls’ athletics.

Sodomy and same sex marriage was just an alternative lifestyle, normal, and I would be labeled if I didn’t accept and celebrate perversion. Dennis raises his hand in class and asks, “teacher, what is the woke culture?” Teacher this is pretty, why is the White House lit up in rainbow colors?

Walking to church on Sunday morning, a five-year-old holding his grandfather hand. Upon arriving, seeing police tape, signs and barriers, stating no one is allowed to congregate, because there is a flu going around ~ your friendly government.

Your pastor was preaching from the pulpit about Lot, and Sodom & Gomorrah. It was reported to the government your pastor was spewing “hate speech”, a crime, and was censored.

Hearing our U.S. Congress open up a legislative session, with the presiding Chaplin praying to an unknown god, Brama; and closing the prayer with; Amen and A woman.

The point I wanted to bring forth, is short periods of time seem to deaden our perception, reality and circumstances we find ourselves in. I never in my lifetime imagined the evil and rebellion occurring today. Not to mention so many other things it would require a book to document.

Put yourself in my thoughts: You got up one morning 50, 60, 70 years ago, and bang, this is your new reality. How would you accept and handle it?

How much more will this generation witness before the Lord’s return for His church?

Possibly a war that will take out a third to half the world's  population....    Maybe next month.

The world has definitely changed from the time I was growing up and I am older than you. Some people have said the world has not changed but from observing our world all these years it most certainly has changed. The technology is one of the most drastic changes. The morality and values in our world has changed a lot. My parents who died in the 70's and my brother who died in 1984 would be in culture shock if they came back today.

Hi Dennis,

Yes on the outside it looks like so much has changed, but really it is just being exposed for what really has been there all along. There previously was a civilized covering on so much filth, but it has now poured over and contaminating everything and everyone not under the blood.

We have become acustomed to thinking that Christianity and Christian world views are the norm.

It was once true in the west, but has never been trus in the rest of the world.

Unfortunetly the non christian view of the world is now the norm and we have to live as strangers, as aliens in the world.

For what it is worth there are questions that we can ask.

Neighbours, work coleagues etc are talking about LGbt or BLM or feminism etc etc

Ak why do they matter? Ak according to your world view, your philosophy of life why do these things matter?

There problem is that it is Christianity that says the individual matters, no other religeon or world view supports the rights of the individual.

The world’s “air,” or spirit, is an invisible, impelling force that incites disobedience to God and fosters “the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes.” (1 John 2:16; 1 Timothy 6:9, 10) “The authority” of this spirit lies in its appeal to the sinful flesh, its subtlety, its relentlessness and, like air, its pervasiveness. Moreover, it is “at work” in disobedient humans by gradually nurturing in them ungodly traits, such as selfishness, haughtiness, greedy ambition, and the spirit of moral independence and rebellion. Simply put, the spirit of the world progressively causes the traits of the Devil to grow in the hearts of humans.—John 8:44; Acts 13:10; 1 John 3:8, 10.  All of us of a certain age of "maturity" have seen this spiritual "gradualism" become worse in our lifetimes.  How much longer can this wickedness occur before God steps in?  We await with eager anticipation, all the while maintaining our own scriptural integrity!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
