  1. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2017/03/05/im-never-reenlisting-marine-corps-rocked-by-nude-photo-scandal/ Anyone ever watch the Robert Redford movie, Lions for Lambs? Very emotional deeply moving message film. At the end is where this article becomes relevant in my view. Robert Redford produced the movie and also played a professor giving tutelage to a young student he saw as having great potential. This was during the Afghanistan Iraq occupation. Redford's character tells the young man that we're being distracted from what is real so as to occupy our thoughts with what is distraction drama. Case in point he observed, the banner scrolling real news under the primary screen picturing nonsense Hollywood type, reality TV drama, talk show nonsense, big picture programs. Who's this starlet sleeping with now? Tune in! Meanwhile there's a real news banner reporting the end of the world scrolling beneath what is meant to capture our full attention. This way the news can say they told us so even in tiny script. This report reminded me of that very thing. Trump is rebuilding and big funding our military that Obama cut to shreds right? Meanwhile, Iran was getting the capacity to work with nuclear power under Obama. We're playing repair the defenses with Trump in office after Obama took chunks out of it. We're on our way! YAY! Now there's this about our military: ‘I’m never reenlisting.’ Marine Corps rocked by nude-photo scandal Our Marines are rocked to their core corp by naked bodies in pictures? Well heck what's war going to do to their fragile psyches?

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, That can be personal or otherwise.

  8. Interesting dialog. I fail to see what the issue is when someone is asked to help stop terrorism before it strikes. If we notice something that look suspicious, are we supposed to just ignore it and say nothing? I can see how paranoia can result in overuse of the reports, but if 1 terrorist act is stopped, isn't that worth a phone call? Look at it from the other side, if we see something and say nothing, and a terrorist act is committed, destroying buildings and taking lives, what is the price of silence in this case? Silence can be golden in some cases, but deadly in others. Wisdom should be the dividing factor.

  9. Pray “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew 5:5-8 (New International Version) To God Alone I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time. 1 Timothy 2:1-6 (New Living Translation) In The Name Of Jesus Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13 (English Standard Version) Love, Your Brother Joe

  10. Makes sense in that the world view is being taken apart regularly on all sides of the arguments. This is a great informative video for today's school of thought that seems to glue materialism with universalist humanist ideologies in order to create a Christianity that is said to be pagan in nature. This is a nice rebuttal sermon for defending against the atheist argument especially.

  12. That IS sad, MM, and I think our government is going to have to come up with a way for law abiding illegals who have been here for, say, ten years to pay fines and start the process of becoming legal; give first priority to parents with American children but they can't keep on letting people come in and steal resources from our citizens. There's no easy solution here and both the illegals and our government share the blame for making this mess. Oh, and the Mexican government who can't make lives for their own citizens. Anyone who's ever been to Mexico can attest to the grinding poverty in most of that country.

  17. There seems to be two or three questions in one post. Adam and Eve did not understand what spiritual death was because they did not know good and evil yet. They fell for the desire to be like God. No excuse, just what I see when reading scripture. Scripture tells us that those who believe, when absent from the body, will be with Christ. The lost wait for the resurrection of the dead at the Great White Throne Judgment. There, death and Hades will be cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death. As for the third question, which is almost an echo of the first, I never did believe in the lie in the first place.
    1 point
  18. I think the crucial lie that Adam and Eve believed was this -- that God did not truly love them. Satan suggested that, if God really loved them, he would let them eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil so that they themselves could be as he is -- God. I think people today still believe that lie -- that God really doesn't love them. Because, if God really loved them, their spouse wouldn't have left them, their baby wouldn't have died, their business wouldn't have gone bankrupt, they wouldn't have been disabled following a car accident, etc., etc., etc. They say that the existence of evil and suffering is the number one reason people have trouble coming to Christ. And yet, Christ is the one and only solution to evil. But if people keep believing the devil's lie, that is, that God doesn't really love us, people will remain estranged from him. And yet, could there be any greater way to show he loves us than sending his only begotten son to the cross so that we might not perish but have everlasting life? It was precisely because he loved us that God never wanted us to eat from that tree and gain a knowledge of evil. But Adam and Eve doubted that. I think doubting God's love was the greatest lie that Satan fed to them.
    1 point
  19. Yes, God does love His creation. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

  22. God has respect for human life, yes there are times that God passed judgment the flood, Sodom, Gomorrah, and more. But even in those times Gods still held human life sacred, in the flood it was Noah and his family and in Sodom and Gomorrah it was Lot's family. If God Truly does not hold human life sacred then he would have killed Adam and Eve instead of going through the trouble of the Cross. It would have been easier to start over.

  28. Praise God's Son Jesus Christ Man's whole duty today toward Jesus Christ is to believe on, confess before others, and call upon the name of his Son Jesus Christ (who shed his blood and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day), and love one another (1 John 3:23). Faith in the name of God's Son Jesus Christ (1 John 5:13, 1 John 3:23, John 3:18) is not mentioned once by Bill J. in the 2:30 video. Bill J. speaks only of trusting "god"; the devil is "the god of this world" (2 Cor. 4:4). A person must believe unto death on God's Son Jesus Christ through his name to be saved (John 20:31, Rev. 2:10), not trust "god" nor turn from their sin (i.e. keep the law of Moses). Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4), and believers in God's Son Jesus Christ are not under the law (Gal. 3:24-25, Rom. 6:14). Those that imagine that they are saved from everlasting punishment by both believing in Jesus Christ and keeping the law are in dangerous error (Gal. 5:4). John MacArthur (referenced by Davida) also falsely teaches that a person must turn from their sin (i.e. keep the law) to be saved from God's wrath. ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. (1 Cor. 10:21) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. (2 Cor. 6:17) He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. (Prov. 19:8) Blessed be the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God

  30. Greetings “Solomons Porch”, I can only give a few thoughts based upon my own experience. I have been admitted to a mental hospital on two occasions but possibly my condition was and is different to your friend. There is a whole range of different mental disorders, and although I was diagnosed at the time as a paranoid schizophrenic, most of my disorder dissipated after my confinements. They were still there in a reduced form before and after, and even now after another 35 years they still persist if allowed to feed upon themselves. Firstly as far as medication is concerned, I was given some medication after the second visit, but this was mainly to reduce mental activity, and it made me slow, dull, lethargic and nauseated and I weaned myself off these. On the other hand I have taken the responsibility to admit a close relative to hospital on five occasions, and apparently each time was when he went off his medication. It appears that he will need this medication for life, but this is modern medication that seems to be much more effective. I will leave this in the hands of the experts and his doctor. For my own part I consider I maintain my mental health by regular physical activity, proper and consistent sleep and occupying my mind with general interest and Biblical considerations. I was also blessed in being able to maintain steady, consistent and interesting work until retirement. In the midst of my disorders I gradually learnt to rely on some Scriptures and some encouraging hymns, and these are comforts to me even now when pressures arise. These may not mean much to the casual reader, but Psalms 34, 42-43, Matthew 11:25-30 developed comfort and rest and calm my thoughts to this day. I continue to add additional Scripture for meditation and edification such as Psalm 8 and Isaiah 6, and seek to get the most out of our Bible Classes by considering the subject before and after the meetings, such as the last class, Isaiah 35. Also in the many years I have sought replacement therapy, where thoughts and actions which I am aware as being bad or inadequate are replaced over some extensive period by edifying thoughts and actions after the examples given by Paul in Ephesians 4:20-32. These thoughts gradually replace the bad patterns of thoughts and actions as illustrated in the interesting example in v28. I hope you may be able to help your friend to gradually improve as we wait for our Lord to return to fulfil Isaiah 35 with all its blessings, words that encouraged John the Baptist in his hour of trial. Kind regards Trevor

  31. Hello Salena, you asked how do we know God is speakingto us? We have to be very careful and test everything by the Word of God so we know for sure it's God speaking to us. Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. John 4:1 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrew 4:12 God conversed with Adam in the first garden. He told Noah to build an ark. He spoke to Moses in a burning bush. He promised Abraham a son. Paul heard His voice on the way to Damascus. But does God still speak to us today? If so, how? When? Where? Often when people ask this question, they are talking about an audible voice. And God can do that. He can do anything He wants. He’s God. Why then, can’t I hear God speak to me audibly, someone might ask? I can’t answer questions that the Bible does not make clear. And the way God works is one of those questions. I do think “hearing God speak” may mean different things to different people. To some, it may suggest, “I need answers for my life, or this particular crisis.” Another may say, “I’ve asked God for _________, but He never answers me." God treats each of us as unique children. None of us are cookie-cutter Christians. Because of that, God doesn’t “speak” the same way to all of us. However, here are eight ways God often uses to communicate with us. 8 Ways God Speaks to Us Today 1. Through His Word in general. 2 Timothy 3:16 says that all Scripture is “God-breathed.” His Word sometimes gives us a warning, a word of encouragement, or a lesson for life. It’s ”His-story”–written with love as God’s guide for life, “so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” That means God is whispering, and sometimes shouting, all through His Word, giving us instructions and principles for life. As we interpret Scripture by other Scripture, we avoid the false logic and misinterpretations that sneak into our world. If someone claims, “God told me to go kill my neighbor!” would you believe him? Of course not! God never violates His own Word or principles. That “voice” does not belong to God. I needed help for raising my children. God “told” me about that in His Word, especially in proverbs. Marriage difficulties? God spoke about that as well. Times when I was afraid? I “heard” Jesus’ words to His disciples as they feared for their lives one stormy night: “Peace, be still!” and it was as if God was speaking to me, too (Luke 8:23-25). 2. Through His Son, Jesus Christ The New Testament was the fulfillment of God’s special plan. It’s the gospel: the good news of Jesus Christ. “In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe” Hebrews 1:1-2, NIV). Through the words of Jesus in Scripture, we can “hear” God’s heart and God’s voice–and know what God is truly like. These words were not written for a few, select individuals who could jump through the right spiritual hoops (“For God so loved the world…”). Someone in Africa, in Germany, in China, and in Alabama can “hear” Jesus’ voice by reading the same Bible. Comparing us to sheep and He as the Shepherd, Jesus says inJohn 10:27, NKJV: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Why? Because the sheep know who He is. They belong to Him, and they recognize Him by the sound of His voice. And He’s the one who will always lovingly lead them on the right path–again and again. 3. Through Nature and God’s Creation “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse ” Romans 1:20, NIV). Through the intricate details and magnificent beauty of all that God has made, we can “hear” His voice. How? By observing the ant’s strength to store up food all summer long, we learn about wisdom and industriousness. By studying the heavens, we understand more of God’s greatness. And through planting and growing a garden, we “hear” about miracles of death and rebirth. God designed–and spoke them all into existence. 4. Through Other Believers God may use a friend, a teacher, a parent, or a preacher to convey His message of truth to us. Their words may come as a warning, a blessing, or as a prophetic truth about our lives.Whether we choose to hear it or ignore it, depends on us. Do their words line up with Scripture? Will God confirm or affirm that truth in us? “The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere” (James 3:17, NIV). I’ve “heard” God speak to me numerous times through other people. A good friend once cautioned me about flirting with danger. Words from a speaker or Christian author have both challenged me and convicted me at times. And I’ve “heard” God talking to me through my own children as their pure and honest words cut clear to my heart and spirit, reminding me of God’s true priorities. All these things may not sound to you like ways of ”hearing God’s voice,” but it’s possible to reduce God to our own image if we insist on Him acting or reacting a certain way. God is bigger than that. He once spoke through a donkey (Numbers 22:28). Why then, can’t He speak through anyone at anytime or in any way He wants to? Bottom line is that if we are His children, God loves us unconditionally and will spare no expense to show us. Our part? Believe Him! Hearing His “audible” voice would no doubt cinch His reality in an awesome way. But I’ve never heard God through an angel’s message. I have no taped recordings to tell you what God sounds like. But I have heard God “speak” through the above ways–and in a few more. Read on. 5. Through Music Perhaps one of the ways I can sense God’s presence the most and “hear” His voice the best is when I am praising Him through music. Maybe it’s because in times of depression and difficult trials in the past, I would pour over David’s songs in Psalms, often singing them back to God with my own tunes. Praise brings me instantly to attention, like a sergeant’s command to his soldiers. The words and the notes bring a soothing comfort, excitement, and passion that open my ears and heart and lift my spirits immediately. In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat faced a huge army of enemies who could have easily destroyed His people, but he did a strange thing. With a declaration that his eyes were on God, he sent in a choir of praise singers: “Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: ‘Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever’” (2 Chronicles 20:21, NIV). God “spoke” clearly. He released His power, and Jehoshaphat’s army defeated their enemies! 6. Through Circumstances When others claim to hear God through circumstances, I try to caution them to test their conclusions with other evidence. God is a Holy God, and often uses circumstances to get our attention. But He will usually confirm it in other ways. This happened to us before my husband and I married. We were dating in high school and were both involved in what could have been a deadly accident, when a speeding pick-up hit our car broadside. Through that accident, my husband felt God had a special purpose for his life. Did he “hear” God’s literal “Yes?” No, but through much prayer, seeking God’s Word, and talking to others, he felt God’s confirmation. Several months later, he committed his life to full-time Christian service. Someone once told me they just knew God was telling them it was okay to buy a brand-new pickup. They’d prayed about it, and circumstances confirmed it: the local car dealership had just the color and model they wanted. But there was one small problem they were neglecting. They couldn’t afford it on their income. And they ignored other red flags as well. Through Moses, God used circumstances (plagues) to convince Egypt’s leader to release God’s people from slavery. But Pharaoh wouldn’t listen. Sometimes God uses our circumstances to test our faith. We don’t always know how to interpret the things that happen to us. I recently took my first trip in an ambulance to the local ER–unfortunately as a patient. My pulse, along with my blood pressure, dropped dangerously low. For several minutes my world looked like a spinning photo negative. Scary, to say the least. Four hours of testing later found no cause as to why it happened. The doctor pronounced me healthy and sent me home, after encouraging me to get a follow-up–which I did. Nothing showed up. I don’t know if God was speaking to me about something special, but the first thing I did was tell Him I was listening! If nothing else, life–and loved ones–suddenly became much more precious to me. One of the first things I usually ask God when circumstances change is: “God, is there something you want to teach me through this?” Yes, I know everything is “fodder” for writers. But I want to make it personal and learn the lesson first. 7. Through His Spirit I once heard someone teach about “minding the checks” in your spirit. Some may call it “God’s whispers,” while others say, “God’s still, small voice.” We are made in the image of God, and when we confess Jesus and follow Him as our Lord and Savior, His Spirit comes to live in us (John 14:17, 1 Corinthians 3:16). God’s Spirit speaks to us through our conscience, helping to make the right decision. When we’re tempted, that same Spirit warns and nudges us to do the right thing. As a writer, I depend on God’s Spirit to give me direction. There are times when ideas pop into my mind totally unexpectedly–and sometimes directly after a plea for help from God. The good ideas I credit to God, because after all, He is the source of every good and perfect gift. The others? They’re in file 13. Even the good ones need developing and rewriting, but that’s a different subject. Why do you suppose ten people can “hear” a sermon, but each person will walk away with a different truth that applies to him? In some cases, the speaker never spoke what the people say they “heard.” Many times, that may be the result of God’s Spirit speaking a personal “Rhema,” a living, breathing word of truth to our spirits. It’s when Scripture comes alive to us–because it is truly “God-breathed.” 8. Through Prayer Each way I’ve shared that God may speak to us today meshes into the other. God often speaks to us through His Spirit, through prayer. We may not know how to pray, but God’s Word tells us His spirit makes intercession for us (Romans 8:26-27). Often through a combination of fasting and prayer, our minds become clearer and our hearts are more sensitive to God. Again, we may not hear God’s literal voice, but His Spirit confirms a certain direction or answer for us. As the distractions fade, we can sense His leading in a new way. Sometimes while praying, God’s Spirit will remind us of a Scripture or a truth in His Word that we can directly apply to the situation. Does that happen immediately? Not always. There have been occasions where I still had no clue what to do, but in faith I thanked God whenever and however He would answer. A day, a week, maybe even months pass. Then one day in the shower or on a walk, a thought comes–that gentle “whisper” that could only come from Him, accompanied by His peace. You Are Unique Does God speak to all of us the same way? No, we are all unique. Are these the only ways God speaks today? No. He’s a creative God. He speaks so many ways, including through miracles. In other countries where Christianity is taboo, God is also revealing Himself repeatedly through dreams. Report after report confirms that an unbeliever who has never heard of Jesus dreams of Him–but doesn’t know who the “man” is–or what the dream means. Then a messenger comes, shows a film about Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the one who has dreamed recognizes the man in his dream: It’s Jesus, the Son of God! Remember One Truth Regardless of the way God chooses to reveal Himself or “speak” to us today, remember one truth. He will never contradict His Word, and the message He gives will always bring glory to God. The Bible warns about adding anything to the already written, God-breathed Word of God, or accepting any other messenger who claims to be superior to Jesus (Revelation 22:18-19;2 Corinthians 11:4). http://www.crosswalk.com/faith/spiritual-life/8-ways-god-speaks-to-us-today.html

  32. Centrum silver is pretty good from what I've heard from people taking it here. A lot of vitamin tablets are bound together with food grade lacquer. If a person has dietary issues or is older their digestive processes can be an issue that makes also for difficulty in dissolving the tablets due to that lacquer binder. Sometimes switching to a capsule is ideal because those and usually the best are from specialty stores do break down. And that insures absorption of all the nutrients you're needing to supplement. Take a break though. That's what the adviser to a friend told her. Take a few days where you don't take any vitamins. Let what has half life and is already working in your bloodstream process. While the absorption process that piles on more to work with is let to rest. Drink lots of water but not with meals. One of the worst causes for bloat, gas, upset stomach after eating is drinking fluids while eating. It makes a soup in the stomach. All the food floats and the digestive breakdown enzymes can't attach and do their thing as easily. Sip very little water while eating. Just to clear the tongue say between portions . But don't drink. Wait a half hour after you're finished with your meal before drinking anything. See how you feel in a day, and on and on as you practice that every meal. I did and I lost the blah feeling after a meal and I didn't feel so poofy. Yes, poofy. Not gassy. Poofy.

  33. Why don't you study the Bible and find out for yourself if this is true? That lie was specifically for Adam and Eve, and since they believed it, not only did they die, but so will you. Except that death in NOT annihilation. If that were true then there would have been no need for the Cross of Christ and the shedding of His blood.

  34. The text implies or suggests his sensitivity to their sorrow. Jesus considered Mary, Martha and Lazarus friends and he visited them regulalry. I don't see belief to be an issue but it does appear he longed for them and grieved as an ordinary person might under such circumstances.. yet he willed that all would know that he was the "resurrection and the life".

  37. Problem is when Bill Johnson mentions "Measures of His presence" in the video, I know he is describing the wrong "presence." With the fruit of false glory clouds, drunk in the spirits youth, spirits slaying people, grave soakings, ad infinitum.. it shows the mockery presented in the bit of Truth in this two minute video. Along with a few others, I've addressed him to great extent with the support of other godly apologetic authors rightly dividing God's Word. I'm a continualist, however within context of God's Word that addresses His gifts. Like Bill Johnson, most so called continualists today run with anything and everything well outside of the confines of the Bible. One of those gifts is "discerning of spirits." This gift allows one to know what spirit is being manifested as God allows. The purpose is to protect the church from demonic manifestations and practice. This "presence" that Bill Johnson mentions, is not the presence of God, but the same type of "presence" I left back with the Eastern Mysticism/Meditating that I left years ago. It comes from Satan's kingdom. Much of this same mysticism is in the Emergent church now that mocks God and His Truth. Jude: 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. Some years ago, I initially could not believe what I was seeing, the very thing God told me to leave over 30 years ago, the "church" was now embracing! The demonic mystical past I had "felt good", but in the end wanted to and would destroy. It would also come "to attack" if you did not check in a few times a week. I've noted similar attacks towards Christians coming from the enemies kingdom when these things are exposed for what they are. Love God first and foremost. Defend God's Truths through His Word. Defend a man when he speaks the Truth and lives for the same. Expose a man (and a multitude of others in our generation) when he does not. This should be true for any and all Christians that name His name. Hoping to pull a few out from Bill Johnson's "fire." Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

  38. Shiloh, You should pay attention to what Bill Johnson actually says and does instead of through the lens of heresy hunter videos. According to Bill, he doesn't allow that teaching to be taught and when Bethel was accused of it, he thought it was ridiculous and makes it clear, that he "does not endorse or teach grave sucking". Now, I understand that you are set on cessationism and don't believe in healing the sick, prophetic ministry, etc. But you do know the bible and know bearing false witness against someone, even in the name of good is wrong and God opposes it.

  39. There is an interview Michael Brown did with Bill Johnson and he asked him about that and many other concerns. The grave sucking thing is not something Bill believes in or has ever been taught at Bethel. When we hold accusations against someone, especially ones that are based on lies and misunderstandings, we are acting like the devil, who is the accuser of brethren. Did you watch the video I posted, or are you so offended at the sight of Bill that you refuse to give it a chance?

  40. I've had many times in my life where I've seen breakthrough and God do amazing things but also times where I don't see what God is doing and going through hard times. It's in the hard times that I learn to trust and put my faith in Him regardless what I see, to put my trust in who He is and what He's said.

  41. Yes~! You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 (New International Version) Or You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. John 14:13 (New Living Translation) No.... Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. Hebrews 3:12 (English Standard Version) ~ Be Blessed Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 (Holman Christian Standard Bible) Beloved Of The KING The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27 (King James Bible) Love, Your Brother Joe ~ Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160 (King James Bible) The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents. From The Inside Of My Gideon New Testament

  44. I've really turned over a new leaf now. I realize the battlefield is not only in the mind ---- it becomes the mind. It takes over. I've seen how bad it can get. I finally said, "That's 'nuff for now" -- People are insane - 'm sure of it. Just hang out at Google + and you'll see ... On the flip side, I have three family-friendly communities that are thriving and people there on my communities are very nice (no drama). One is for the pet lovers, another is a nature site and the third - a tribute to the Native Americans. All I want to do is chill out and hang with nice, normal people. I'm enclosing a post from my petlover site.

  45. Hey Neb. I haven't talked to you in a million years! Sheesh.. it feels like an eternity. You're still alive and kickin' and I'm just -- here. I chose this goofy panda character because that's how foolish I feel. I just got in way over my head. I don't even think God is able to use me in this life. I've let him down pretty bad. But I'm glad you're still among us. How are things for you?
