Perhaps not ignored too much. It is the nature of mankind to sin and do terrible things. Many churches turned their faces away at the plight of the Israelis in WWII. And the Balfour declaration was expected to fail. No one gave the Jews much help. But the Lord had His people variously that did indeed 'save the day'. The enemy of our souls wants us to fight each other and diminish each other. That is the way the adversary works. So we have to be careful NOT to marginalize individuals of a particular faith because of the sins of their fathers - however, neither should we be afraid to call a spade a SPADE.

And to add that Jesus said the temple from now on would be Himself... Then when we see people saying: "You are in the right Church, this is His temple"... Wake up, wake up! "“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.’”" - Mark 14:58 The temple is Himself, is He who will answer your prayer and forgive you... If you simply humble yourself, cry, repent, and ask (from anywhere). "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14 This simply kills the idea that the Catholic Church is of any relevance. If they claim: "We are THE CHURCH, THE WAY!". This alone is a red, red flag alert. "For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many." - Matthew 24:5 The truth is: You can be at any Church, but if the Lord Jesus is not in you then you are not His. It occurs to me that I should be more clear.......it came to me that the Lord likens the present end time church to Egypt and to Sodom and to Jerusalem........Egypt receiving her plagues of judgment and the Lord protecting and leading His flock out of Egypt into the wilderness. Sodom receiving of her judgment and the Lord leading the righteous out of Sodom to the mountains. Jesus prophesying, when you see "Jerusalem" surrounded by armies, ie, about to be judged, flee to the mountains. Also Jesus prophesying about the destruction of the "temple" that not one stone would be left on top of another. So when I am talking in these terms about the church..........i am talking about the church in general particularly in North America, except for a remnant. We need to understand that the church is being judged.......with a strong delusion...... yes, the whole church in general.....except for a remnant. Just like Israel and Jerusalem was judged by the Lord except for the remnant Jews who "fled to take hold", ie, who came to faith in Jesus. The Lord hasn't supplied me with a list of all the erring churches in North America and the western world and of course no one can share what they haven't received. Think that's about all I can say about that, hope you understand better why I do speak in sweeping generalities about the church. It is just a stepping stone to the seven year tribulation. As you can see our world is becoming more and more corrupt. As far as taking away the teenage smart phone....OH WELL, they have to pay the consequence to their actions. If you do not give them rules or discipline you are only creating a monster.

Heresy Heresy abounds today,with people believing only what they want to believe. Heretics emphasize certain words or phrases so they can follow along and accept one while rejecting another; doing one thing but refusing another. Heretics are pickers and choosers among the Word of God. The most dangerous aspect about heresy is that in many regards what they believe is right. It is not what one believes, but rather, it is what one refuses to believe that makes heretics very dangerous. If they were all bad, they would not have much influence in the evangelical church today. What makes it worse is what they say you can accept and believe, and by doing that they suck you down a certain pathway and eventually lead you away from all the truth. It takes all the truth to make it God's Word. You can not take only one slice of truth and disassociate it from the rest of the Bible. Evangelicals need to be careful not to ride their favorite hobbyhorse while ignoring other things and compromising the power of God's Word.

Psalm 91 assures us of God's protection and I just don't understand how a person can walk into His sanctuary and kill many in a congregation, as His followers are assembled together worshipping Him. Almighty God could've stopped that demon, but didn't. So i have a hard time trusting God when it seems like He doesn't back His Word. Folks, you just can't make this up, truth is stranger than fiction. The first church to apply for and worship artificial intelligence (AI). When they come to visit a few times a year, it hard to have a face-to-face conversation with them because of their preoccupation with that silly device in their faces constantly. Everywhere I go I see more people than not walking with their faces planted in their phones, not paying attention to people, traffic or anything else. It's taken the place of putting on make-up behind the automobile steering wheel using the rear view mirror, while stopped at an intersection through three green lights. Fruit is Christ-like character and there is nothing at all wrong with general admonishments to the flock regarding bearing good fruit, Christlikeness, especially if a need for that is particularly seen. Davida...... point in general is the church needs to be woken up to know what time it is. Circumstances surrounding the first coming of Christ is a mirror of the circumstances that would be seen at His second coming......and unfortunately at His first coming the "temple" was fallen away (apostate) just as the "church" is today, and many did not recognize the hour of their visitation. Well, i'm a bit of an oddball Christian. In my eyes, the new covenant basically says we can now be saved through the blood of Christ rather than having to sacrifice animals and sprinkle their blood about on an altar; it does not make the old one irrelevant. I engage in a kosher diet, I believe in circumcision, I look at the bible as a whole rather than just picking at lines. However, typical Christian views are that because of the blood of Christ and a few other passages in the NT, the OT laws and practices are obsolete. God gave Peter a vision of a table covered in non-kosher meats. Peter said no, as he hadn't ever eaten of anything common or unclean, and God replied, "that which I have created, you should not call common or unclean". Many state this as proof of Christians not being bound to OT dietary laws. However, Peter explains it a few lines later that it was about MEN, not food.

We would need to explain how the coming of the Lord is just for individuals and not a collective Bride Change that . We sure can tell how the coming of the LORD is FOR the colletive bride . paul did . He told churches this. What you should say is we should warn just cause you sitting in a church don't make you saved .

Both the pattern of the prophets and Christ warned the people in general when it came to the religious institution. Their were even some Pharisees that believed on JESUS. few, But HE was warning to all people not to be as Them. I bet nicodemus was not confused about that . The warnings are about the overall conditions of what many churches have made Christianity into today. I know what you saying , the true church IS the church and yes their are tares about every where very true . Those sitting in Christ following churches wont be confused when some of us warn out about the general condition of churches in fact those leaders in the Christ following Churches do the same thing . When God sent jeremiah to warn, HE warned ALL , did this mean every single one was evil , nope cause GOD still had a remnant . BUT he warned ALL. To warn that churches are in dire straits is not erroneous , its the pattern. The true beleivers in those places will know . Theirs babes , those babes are starving to death in those churches, as their pastors feed the group what the tares want to hear THE SHEEP GO HUNGRY or leave . Not to mention a heavey delusion is rising as we speak, as YOU even know . THEREFORE my advice is, IF the leaders wont hear correction , GET OUT and ner look back. COME YE OUT OF HER . Most churches, but not all, but most follow unbiblical patterns that Contradict JESUS pattern. Everyone here should know this too, Their will be errors in any church you go into , people will need correcting . BUT IF THE LEADERSHIP ERRS , wont repent and teaches error. GET OUT that church IS DOOMED . For whom one sits under will be where one ends up. Feed from goats chow , you become a goat . Lambs eat pure grade A JESUS SAYING CHOW. THE DOCTRINE . ITS THE DOCTRINE that I speak of . And here is another fact. IF them leaders don't know the simplicity oF JESUS like a mere wee thing like me does , but teaches error and mens doctrines GET OUT , cause any leader should WELLL BE MATURE. They should have made the focus on the inner man, on sound doctrine , instead of working on the outer man and jelling hair and dressing fancy and cool, to win souls or seem as men of love . Those poor children in most churches , sitting under many men who LOOK cool as all get out can quaote the lastest video game to a kid, But don't know a THING bout JESUS nor his pattern. And no this aint about clothes or how they sing n church. Its about the LACK OF SOUND DOCTRINE , the lack of JESUS pattern and the pattern set by the apostles n all thing NOT GETTING done and not only that , being spoken contrary too. How many churches alone sit under WOMEN pastors, How many sit under men who will remarry people no matter IF its contrary to the pattern JESUS said about remarriage. How many support war, support gay marriage or abortion . IF THE LEADERSHIP allows this, THEN THEY AINT NO LEADERSHIP I will sit with and hug and act like all is well LEADERS , those , LEADERS NEED TO BE EXAMPLES , as does the whole church But the leaders are to set the example FOR the CHURCH and its supposed to be the example men like james paul set WHO followed the pattern, JESUS SET .

All the above posters gave you good input. Another thing you might try is when you start to get these thoughts, start praying to the Lord to help you. In the "old days" people would often pray to be covered with the blood of Jesus...perhaps you can pray that over your mind.

I'm not sure but I might have missed some of what you mean, if it has to do with something specific.... don't get around to as many threads as a lot of other folks....but yes there are unfortunately some really unpleasant attitudes at times and many conversations that might have been fruitful have been broken up and derailed, if not having to be removed altogether just due to behaviour. Ought not to be.

Can you or I unplug the Internet? Can we unplug the Genie once it's out of the box? Never be a living being? That's not how I interpret Revelation 13: 15 and the rest of the description of the "image of the Beast". To many people, virtual reality and robots are going to replace human contact and become their world. You can't see that happening right before your eyes with smart phones, computers, etc.? People are paying more attention to their machines than one on one human contact. Their computers and smart phones are their reality. Try taking away a teenagers smart phone these days and see how he or she reacts. Virtual dating and interactions are common place these days. Imagine having a good looking robot that's smarter than you, does everything you ask, doesn't talk back to you, and looks and acts so much human that it's hard to impossible to tell it's a machine?

They do not communicate. Just like those unbelievers now in Hades can't communicate with those in heaven.

Thank you all for the replies , I am praying for my Children every day and actually for all the children to be saved. Recently I have started to teach them some new prayers and stories from the Bible and decided to start reading together with them from the Psalms every evening, haven’t started yet but willing to do that soon, Actually they seemed not interested in the beginning and I made it worse when I handled the matter in a wrong way and got frustrated and had some arguments with my wife in front of the kids then I realized that it is not going to work that way, I am the one who should be blamed for being away from my family for long periods so I have to be changed first, that night I got down on my Knees and asked God for help.

Wow, the NKJV says it differently, leading me to see this is about Jeremiah being a prophet, not what you or I say daily. Let them return to you, But you must not return to them. And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; And they will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you; For I am with you to save you And deliver you,” says the Lord. “I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.”

The single most important thing would be to roll out of bed every day straight to your knees. Place your children before the altar of God, as intercessor. Trust in the Lord, not your own understanding. HE will give you direction, if you ask. Be interested in your children, get into them, enjoy them, listen to them. They will talk if they know your interested, and you will listen, just as God listens as we talk to Him. I believe that was what worked for my family, covered in the shield of God's protection. Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And it is no wonder that those who read Scripture and are taught by the Lord Himself are the ones who goes around like @frienduff thaylorde speaking the truth in love, with boldness, being lead by the Lord. "All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children." - Isaiah 54:13 It really seems the enemy is trying to quench the body, tolerating unchristian behaviors and such. But the warning of the Lord is simple and clear. "Do not quench the Spirit." - 1 Thessalonians 5:19 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing" - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 Yes, that is to be taken literally, literally! I repeat: literally. There are times yes and there are times no. Doesn't mean I am not saved or anything. Just shows that I am human and that I am prone to mistakes and errors.

I don't watch Christian films for several reasons. One they are extremely cheesy and mostly poor acting. The biggest reason however is that every Christian film ends in a good note: Unsaved people become saved, unsaved boyfriends becomes saved, the ending is the happiest ending ever. The problem with this is it creates a mindset that everything in my life will be fixed and will turn out happy. Unfortunately our Christian life is riddled with problems, sorry, pain, etc. There are times that God says no to our request. Sometimes our issues turn out fantastic and other times they do not. The most important thing you can do is to live for Christ yourself. Your children are watching, and you are one of the greatest influences they will have in their lives. Make sure you are the proper reflection and example that you need to be. Take them to church, make sure they hear the truth and are exposed to scripture. Watch what they are doing on the internet, keep the computer in an area of the house where you can see what they are doing on it. Be involved in their lives, know their friends, but be careful not to be overbearing at the same time. By that I mean, you cannot choose their friends for them, and while you may identify one as being trouble, if you try to force them not to be friends with that individual they most likely will rebel against that. I think that it'd be pretty important to look at this particular verse in its actual context, since you chose it to highlight a pre-trib rapture position. Mat 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mat 24:31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. I'd ask you to keep in mind that this sequence here starts with a thought (Immediately after the tribulation...), continues the thought (Then) and then completes the thought (and). Immediately after the tribulation of those days... then... and... I think it's interesting that you have bracketed there that the church will be raptured before the seven year tribulation begins, even though two verses prior, it is quite obvious that Christ is speaking about a period that is immediately after the tribulation. A pretty good example of the piecemeal assembly of verses that is required by pre-trib theology.

I'm just going to post these verses and let everyone decide for themselves if they actually say that. Jud 1:14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, Rev 19:14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Zec 14:5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee As you fled from the earthquake In the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the LORD my God will come, And all the saints with You. Now, it doesn't look to me like any of those verses says explicitly, or implicitly, that "the rapture takes place several years before the literal advent of Christ to the earth"... but, that's just me. And I'm sure folks may wonder where all those saints that are with God in heaven come from that are being mentioned here. Well, actually, the bible does specifically address that! Rev 7:13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" Rev 7:14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev 7:15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. As an aside, notice how it mentions up there in revelation 19:14 that the armies in heaven are clothed in fine linen, white and clean? The saints explicitly mentioned in Revelation as having white robes are the ones who come out of the tribulation, in fact not once in Revelation (nor anywhere else in the bible) are we told that saints are raptured before the tribulation and put in white robes.

I'd like to demonstrate how pre-trib theology works for those who may be watching. A narrative is given, the narrative in this case is: "The rapture is a distinct coming in itself, not to the earth, but in the air where Christ meets the saints and then takes them back to heaven to present them blameless before God the Father" Now, we are given three passages, a total of 6 verses, which, one would think, would roughly speak to the narrative. Let's take a look at the verses: Joh 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. Joh 14:2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Alright, here we are told, basically, that Christ is going to prepare a place for believers. That's pretty awesome to hear, if you are a believer, because if God builds something for you to enjoy, you can bet you're going to enjoy it. However, this says nothing at all about the timing of Christ's return or the idea that the saints will return to heaven with Christ in order to avoid the tribulation. It certainly does not have anything to do with a "distinct" first second coming (as opposed to what would have to be the second second coming, if there is a first one). It just simply states that Christ is preparing a place for us. I would even go so far as to argue that this is probably referring to new heaven and new earth and new jersualem in revelation 21, which is actually after the millennium, which means it would have no bearing whatsoever on this conversation. Second passage: 1Th 3:13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. Again, no timing mentioned, whatsoever, no allusion to timing at all. No "distinction" made regarding a first second coming, either. This verse is certainly factual, but it has no bearing on rapture timing. The "coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints" could be either at a pre-trib or post-trib point. Third passage: 1Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Again, no timing here is mention and no "distinction" made that this this is a coming that is separate from the second coming. There are theological extrapolations that are made in order to arrive at this point, but the scripture itself doesn't say it. However, when the case is made, it is stated as fact, with the scriptures presented as footnotes, even though they do not themselves contain the information given. I will address the second half of the assertion in another post.

A Spirit filled Pentecostal Christian is not possessed by demon(s) but if one gets lazy and worldly then the power of sin rises and the flesh prevails against the Spirit. Exorcisms are dramatic and Hollywood has much to answer for here. Get baptized in the Holy Spirit and you won't be possessed by anyone else other than God. If another person is possessed by the darkness then lay hands on them and pray in tongues. Powerful words "Get thee behind me Satan, in the name of Jesus." Yes the Devil can read minds, possesses minds, influence minds. That is why in the NT we are described as being bound, being in bondage, being children of the devil. and even belonging to the kingdom of darkness. This is why we need the gospel and the Holy Spirit and our own special spiritual prayer language to be strong in power and might through God to the pulling down of imaginations and desires and to be set free...
