The Mark of Beast

The Mark of Beast is perhaps one of the most terrifying Eschatological fact:

"Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, ¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666." (Revelation 13:16-18).

These verses have compelled people to think it shall be physical mark, a chip inserted into the body, the rags ISIS wears on their head and wrists that speak of Muhammed and their god. Others think that its symbolic, that taking the mark is a spiritual experience, where people will invite the Antichrist into their hearts (head, he dominating their minds and hearts) and mark on their hands is actions, doing work for Beast. For the right hand can mean authority, and power, position, not just literally right hand.  

Then there is the possibly that Mark of Beast is simply this, "From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him." (John 6:66).

Interesting thought there Fidei. And of course the underlying motive would be `turning away` from the Lord. here are my thoughts regarding how it will look to the world. First a break down of the number.

666  = 600 + 60 + 6.

6 -  sinful man.

60  = 6 X 10 - sinful man disobeying God`s law.

600  = 6 X 10 X 10 – sinful man controlled by the spirit of complete lawlessness.

`the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power & signs & lying wonders.` (2 Thess. 2: 9)

This number describes the `beast` & his world system of control. Everyone in this system will have a number to identify them as different from others. People can be verified, tracked & controlled.

Finally, everyone in the world`s system will have the MARK (details of life) & a NUMBER connecting them to the system. Then if people want to `buy & selL,` they will need the authorisation of this system – the NAME. Note, not everyone `buys & sells,` - some elderly in nursing homes, some disabled, some poor, some living off the land etc.

Who takes the Mark of the Beast?  [MoB]

When understanding comes about what God actually has planned for His people; every righteous Christian believer; Ephesians 2:11-18 and all the NT teaching about how we Christians are the true Israelites of God, then you will realize that we won't need to worry about having to take the MoB.

It is only those who whose names are not written in the Book of Life, Rev 13:8, who will worship the beast and take his mark in their right hand. Rev 13:16   We Christians will not be a part of the One World Govt, proved by how the leader of the OWG comes to Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5,  and makes a 7 year peace treaty. When the AC breaks this treaty, then half of the Christian citizens of Beulah will be taken to a place of safety, Rev 12:14 and the other half will remain. Rev 1:17    The division is explained in Daniel 11:32 and Zechariah 14:2

It is interesting, but two of these numbers are found in the great image of Nebuchadnezzar: 60 cubits tall and 6 cubits wide. I wonder it it took 600 of something to build it?

I personally believe it will be something physical, we certainly see the possibility in today's technology for that.  Whatever it will be, it won't be something one can mistakenly take, it will be done willingly.  It will be required for anyone who lives by what we consider a normal lifestyle in order to get the necessities.

Has to be something to do with false worship as Rev 13 talks about worship of the beast and his image. So also does Rev 14 remind us of that fact. And it has to translate to economic ability to buy or sell. The guy at the grocery store is not going to ask each customer a bunch of religious questions... so whatever the religious choice the "result" is something physical, tangible that works at a gas station, works at a grocery store.

The "result" of compliance with the worship demands listed in Rev 13 -- is that you get some tangible device for conducting business. Or your name gets registered or your account is not frozen... etc.

The "wrong" approach is to totally focus on the technology used to enforce the new rules - and not the rules themselves. It is the rules that are "sin" - compliance with them is sin. But the "Mechanism" for SEEING that you comply or do not comply is not the issue. (Like deer focused on the headlights and missing the significance of the truck they are mounted on)

In Daniel 3 - the "rule" was to bow down before the false god - golden image on the plains of Dura. The "mechanism" for "seeing" if you comply was to simply "look" and see who did not physically bow down. "Looking" was not the sin. It was not a sin to allow someone to look at you.

God could have said "whoever bows down has sinned against God" in that case for Daniel's three friends. But it is not bowing down that is evil - bowing down before the Lord is good. What is evil is bowing to images/idols/ praying to them ... serving them etc.

So what are the signs of Rev 13 -- Satan's agenda unfolding?  Where are you in the sequence of its events predicts?

And what are the signs of Re 14 - God's agenda unfolding? Where are we in the sequence of events it predicts?

First Angels' message Rev 14:6-7

1. Starts with world wide message "Hour of God's judgment has already come" (is now... )

2. Call to return to worship of God - as Creator

Second Angel's message Rev 14:8

1. World is rejecting first angel's message - mark of the beast being accepted by those who reject the first angel.

Third Angel's message Rev 14:9-12  

-- while mark of the beast being given out - and final strong warning against it.
