The Catholic church is a combination of Christianity and Mithraism. Most early Roman churches had a basement assembly hall for the practice of the Mithraic Mysteries. Mithra morphed into a religion that resembles Christianity and was eventually adopted as its equal, but the root religion had only superficial likeness at best. In 300 A.D. most of the Roman soldiers were Christian, that is why the emperor superficially adopted Christianity to gain the support of the military. Mithraism is comparable but not related to the Masons of today. It was a secret fraternal society popular with the merchant class.  An example of how this religion is still observed today is Christmas, an observance is celebrated on the birthday of Mithra and Santa Clause wears the attire of a Mithra priest. The other problem you will have with the Catholic church is that it fits the prophecy of the False Prophet, the lamb (Christian) that speaks like a dragon (Rome).

Hey scott.    you know how most folks keep thinking that the greatest deceivers and attackers of the faith always come from OUTSIDE our religion .

YET JESUS was betrayed BY ONE WITHIN .   a pretender , so clever that even the other decisples knew not who it was .

We often read about how satan is a theif , a robber .    BUT what does he come to rob .     THE INHERITANCE .   

Just as many of the jews had said ,  COME let us kill him and the INHERITANCE shall be ours .    ONLY WHO NOW SITS atop the world and claims SHE HOLDS THE KEYS of SALVATION

that indeed she is THE ROCK on which the church stands .    ROME DOES .      

And what religion does she now spread in order to obtain total power and control ,  THE ALL INCLUSIVE ONE  .    where she flat out has denied JESUS as the ONLY MEANS for salvation .

SHE Has CRIED that muslims are finding their own way to GOD , SHE has kissed korans and budda statues and says all are finding their own way to GOD.

SHE HAS TROD JESUS UNDERFOOT ,   attacks preaching the gospel as being like jihad , yet panders to all ways , FOR ONE REASON ,    SO SHE CAN SIT ATOP ALL THE WORLD

and its religions , to morph them as one to sit under HER .     NOTICE THAT DO YA .  

why we think Kenneth Copeland , rick warren ,  tony blair ,  emergent and streams of others are now teaching UNTY WITH ROME .    ITS ALL A PLAN of a dire and wicked  and sinister

agenda . AND SHE WILL SIT and rule from ,      JERUSALEM .     YEP .      she is tying all religions and minsets together under the unity for world peace , inclusive message .

AND MOST Folks got no idea this is THE DELUSOIN that will lead the world as one RIGHT TO THE BEAST . YES the false prophet CAUSES the WORLD to worship the beast .

SHE IS THAT MONSTER .  for she has cried we need a STRONG WORLD GOVT ,,     she is causing and will cause the world , religions as one to WORSHP the beast .

ITS WHAT the false prophet does .    ITS THE ONE who causes the world to worship the beast .      WE SEE IT GROWING .

And most see only its fake unity , world peace , false love AS THE SOLUTOIN to the worlds ills for WORLD PEACE .     MEANS A WORLD LEADER and KINGS are rising too .

THEY ALL IN LEAGUE NOW ,  they crept into many churches with seeker friendly , all inclusive ,  she is in other religions too , and its all being done through

both religion and PC .     YEAH.     WE ARE RUNNING OUT of time .     And the DELUSOIN of upmost darkness which will lead all to worship the beast ,

Its DONE BEGAN my friend , ITS DONE BEGAN .   like a dark spirit of a dark elijiah , that now prepares the world for who.............NOT CHRIST or the message would

be repentace , NOT ACCEPTANCE and it would POINT TO CHRIST , not all ways , all religions .  AND IT WILL GO VIRAL AND SWELL not only in size

but in darkness , till the world is gathered as one , In the worlds largerst ever ecumenical gathering , RIGHT UNDER THE BEAST and then its all out war

against the true saints who conformed not to her all inclusive false love unity message . ITS RISING , ITS RISING NOW .

The catholic church maintains that you were born gain at you infant baptism, and that you were filled with the Holy Spirit at your confirmation.  Unfortunately the first has rarely happened.  We don't see the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, kindness, patience goodness, faithfulness, long suffering, self-control)  in pre school children very often.  Occasionally people have been filled with the Holy Spirit at their confirmation.  I have known a couple of people to which this occurred.  So God does call His own to Himself.  Most have their eyes opened by the Holy Spirit to the errors of that church and stop praying to dead saints and angels but pray directly to the Father in Jesus Name.  They no longer trust in the church or repeating prayers over and over but in the Living God, and they will bow down before no other.  They have no need of a priest to interpret the Bible to them because the Holy Spirit enlightens them and teaches them.

 1Jo 2:26  esv I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.  1Jo 2:27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

 1Co 2:12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1Co 2:13  These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Rom 8:34  Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.  Rom 8:35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

In answer to the original question, "Would being catholic stop me from being saved?" The answer is no, not necessarily, for there are numerous catholic people who are very sincere in their faith. I believe there are "spirit filled" catholic people who have chosen to stay in "catholicism" for the very purpose of helping catholics to see Jesus, as He really is, no longer on a cross, but Resurrected. I applaud them for their decision, but I am of a mind why would you, having been shown "the real deal" to stay "in darkness" and be set free and come out into the light to freely praise and worship God in the beauty of Holiness, and be with likeminded people to grow and nurture and encourage each other in our "common" faith. Are you comparing Vatican City with the Great Whore? Remember, the Great City qualifications are a large harbor between two rivers and a very strong consumer economy based on maritime trade. Rome, Vatican City, Iraq, Jerusalem or a mystery religion is not capable of fulfilling these prophecies. Only New York City meets all the prophetic criteria. After the US is decimated the Catholic Church will consume Texas to Florida with the help of the Hispanic populations.

OH  ,  it has to be Jerusalem that is the whore .    the great city .     Where also our LORD was crucified .   THIS also fits In line with their agenda , to have all religions as one

and centered in Jerusalem .     OH for sure America is evil , no doubt , but she is only part of it , as the UN is the one that holds much sway and power over America as well as the rest of

the nations .  But who will control JERUSALEM .  politically the un ,   religious side ROME .    and they will usher in ANTI CHRIST , BEAST .

Well,    all I got to say for now is ,   I Don't care what the pope calls ya ,  YOU LOVED MY FRIEND .   Now if pope francis got up tomorrow and said that Scott free on that worthy site
