Mass shooting in Gilroy, CA

I did hear about it last evening.   I was really surprised that a mass shooting would happen at the garlic festival!   A young boy was killed, too.

Okay, this just in from MSNBC, at approximately 5:30 pm, at the annual Gilroy* Garlic Festival, in California, a suspected lone gunman opened fire upon the celebrants. Local law investigations are on the still active scene, along with the ATF = Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. According to latest official reports, 16 have been shot, with 5 confirmed fatalities. This becoming a regular occurrence...people are filling up with demons in this "post-Christian" era....when we will we ever learn?  Here in Canada there are two fresh-faced young kids, 18 years old and friends from childhood who are being hunted down by police for killing three innocent people for no reason at all.  So sad.

I sure hope not. Checking on CNN now, and it seems as though the assailant jumped the fence to enter the festival. Still waiting to hear the status of the suspect's death.

I heard the reports that they cut through the fence.

The crazy thing about this ... this is just a no-name festival, the types that families attend all over the US during the summer months and I believe this is why it touches so many people personally.

Yes we have been hearing a lot about this shooting in Canada because one of the victims was the son of a high ranking police officer in Australia.. He was holidaying in Canada driving around touring the place with his American girlfriend..

Up to this point i have heard nothing from our Media about the shooting at this garlic festival..

Yes, it was. There were metal detectors in place at the gates.

And well, that's what happen when you have a gun-free zone, it never works, criminals don't care, and thus law abiding gun owners are forbidden to act in time.

People should learn.
