A publican is a Jewish person who collected taxes for Rome. They were not cut off from the righteousness of the law, nor were they dead to God. Publicans would have been viewed as a low person who worked for Rome, mandating taxes and making money off the Jewish people. They would not be considered unclean as unclean as the term unclean is defined by the Mosaic law and is a ritual thing which is resolved by following the prescribed Mosaic laws, such as waiting the prescribed amount of time, going to the ritual bath, and sometimes making a sacrifice. Just for a comparison, a person who works with the dead, or ritually slaughters animal is ritually unclean much of the time. Publicans were not excommunicated as there is no such thing as excommunication in Judaism or the Mosaic law. The closest thing to excommunication would be violating certain laws, or being born from an illegitimate union. Those people were still Jewish but were not allowed to enter the assembly or other limitations. Publicans were fully members and allowed by Mosaic law to enter the assembly. So, while the Jewish community viewed a publican as being the lowest of the Jewish society, that would be because they were Jewish and working for Rome, taking money from their own people.

When Barack Obama had won the 2012 presidential election many said that's because of his position on the issue of abortion and gay marriage. I remember, then I thought that's the beginning of the end for USA.

You really need to get a new story. This is a Christian website. We come here to worship, praise and give glory to God. You have been given advice by some of the most stable Christians I have ever known you keep just singing the same story. Move on , get over yourself, and take MorningGlory's advice. Get new friends and stop whining. And yes it almost identical to your last post not to mention all the other ones you have put up. People are just sick of hearing you complain. How refreshing it would be to see you post something that is glorifying to God. Did you ever think that maybe this is why everyone wants to run from you. Start loving yourself and maybe others will start going to you instead of running from you. Get into the word of God and know how much He loves you. He is the only one, and His Love is the only Love that will change you.

Absolutely I think all Muslims should be banned from coming into the U.S. There is no amount of scrutiny that can be done at the borders that can determine and assure the American people that the Muslims coming in the country will be a peaceful people once they are allowed into the country. The Muslim's religion is another main reason to keep them out. I am in no way against freedom of religion but when that freedom of religion could mean the death of the U.S. citizens themselves then the Muslims are not the countries friend. Instead they are the American's enemies on their own homeland and not abroad. The violence will only continue to increase as long as the Muslims are allowed to keep coming in the U.S.

So the governor of our state had the American Flag raised to half mast and the "gay flag" flown beneath it. I didn't know there was such a thing. So they should have a liars flag for some politicians.

During the interview, her boyfriend said Mateen had “gay tendencies.” He also claimed that Yusufiy had told the FBI she did not believe Mateen was a member of a terrorist organization and that the FBI had told her to keep quiet about it. “The FBI asked her not to tell this to the American media,” the boyfriend, who was not named in the report, said. I didn't know there are gay flags neither. The reason to try and understand this man's personality make up is to try and identify other potential killers before they act. Even better would be if we could identify people who are likely to fall for this radicalization that is happening. Right now it seems impossible but someone may get a clue. I say this because psychopathic people upset me. Until recently a psychologist had to try and determine who's a psychopath just by speaking to them. One characteristic of a psychopath is they lie with the greatest proficiency there is. So recently we are finding ways to use the MRI machine to identify a psychopath. This technique is still being tested but it looks promising.

Sort of! If you go to google images, and type gay flag, you will see flags that have bars of colors, in broad, horizontal stripes. You will see them make like that American flag, stars and stripes, except instead of red and white stripes, they are various colors. They have them also with swatztikas (gay Nazis?) and Stars of David on them, even cats. No idea what these things are supposed to represent. Warning, if you scroll down far enough, there is also an especially offensive one, using the F word on it, about straight people, Jews and blacks (N word), I guess there ARE gay nazis!

My error from what I saw on a new article that the results of the autopsy had shown that he was gay. We may hear of the results or we may not hear of the results.

I thought of an explanation. First we have to assume this guy had a messed up mind. Also, I don't think he was raised as a Muslim, I think he became one as an adult. I think he had gay tendencies even if he wasn't totally gay. At some point he realized that his new religion condemns what he's feeling, that is attraction to other men. His mind couldn't cope with this contradiction so he decided to execute other gays and get himself killed in the process. As I said this is a very sick mind. What scares me is the abundance of very sick minds we have these days. I think we need God here more than we have since.... a very long time ago.

It doesn't matter if he was or was not gay. A brilliant point was brought up earlier in another thread. Jesus brought condemnation against people when he came and spoke out against what they were doing. All it takes is God in man speaking the truth to bring about judgment against the hearers. Truth is spoken then time given for repentance followed by judgment. It is happening all over the world. It is only going to get worse as the day of judgment continues to unfold. Let us not marvel that one sin receives judgment but let us fear because we know that which is worthy of death ourselves as it is written plainly in Romans 1. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. The Grace of God allows us to live when we in fact are all worthy of death. God is escalating judgment upon the earth now as his grace is being abused. I imagine it is pretty difficult to remain patient when people constantly throw his pledge not to flood the world again in his face by wearing his sign upon themselves as they do that which is contrary to his desire for them. It is all tragic. May all truly find the grace of God and pour it out upon others. God bless.

There are always theories. There is even a theory out there, suggestion that it has not happened, it is a hoax. There are others about it being orchestrated by anti-gun people. Eventually, the dust will settle, we will know more. However, what we know will be contradicted by all of the other theories that will later appear in our conspiracy thread, no doubt. We will then learn, that the crime was perpetrated by extra-terrestrial aliens, who managed to have the true evidence dustified or perhaps, the weapons we made of cerro alloys, and turned into puddles of metal on the first really hot day, ruining the evidence. A ME has a lot of important information when examining a body that can be evidence for many things. It would have been a law that a ME did examine the body so that is not an issue. There are many different reasons for a ME doing an autopsy. It is pretty much 100% correct. It did prove exclusively that the man was gay.

You hit the nail on the head. There is actually no proof that this guy was gay. There is evidence he was gay-but all that evidence, could be explained by him simply researching the place and doing a lot of pre planning, Including making friends so no one would give him a second look when he went to make his move. The theory that he was just "undercover" and was just pretending to be gay is supported by the reports he also cased Disney land, and just by the shere volume of training and planning he had to have done to pull off a stunt like this. And if there were other people involved (not saying there was) that's even more planning. This is simply another case of someone coming up with a theory based on sketchy evidence, and people blindly accepting it as fact. The autopsy most likely will be done, if it hasn't already been done, just because it's a criminal case, but there is no way the results would be released, not until the investigation is over if at all. So someone claiming the autopsy supports it is either relying on false information or a coronor is going to be losing their job, but on a case like this it won't be just anyone doing it, so chances are any "autopsy" reports anyone claims to have are likely false.

I think it is interesting information bro. It really proves that this person was gay. How does what a coroner COULD do, prove anything, if the coroner has not performed the autopsy? Besides, aren't autopsies about determining the cause of death? I think the cause of death is pretty much established, so no autopsy

Yep, a really good coroner will pick that up. But if he is being paid off he will not verbalize what he saw. That is kind of strange but it does happen.

I sincerely doubt he was gay. He was a devout Muslim...goes against everything that is Muslim. I do think however, that this attack took a lot of planning to execute...which means a lot of time spent in and around, and if he wasn't trying to blend in, someone would have caught in in a real hurry.
