  1. If the person did not have a healthy heart, then that is proof of what I said-there had to have been something else going on behind the scenes. The person also would not be "healthy" obviously if, and chances are extremely high that there is, there was more going on under the surface, the person did not know about it. But that doesn't mean the person was "healthy" So, I will repeat, assuming this person consumed caffeine regularly and this wasn't their first time ever, there had to be something else going on under the surface, like a unknown heart condition of some sort. There is no way that amount of caffeine would cause a heart attack in a healthy person of that age group who regularly ingests caffeinated beverages. It's certainly possible that regular use of caffeine weakened his heart to the point those beverages sent him over the edge...but that still leads to there was something else going on. Those three drinks would not do it, unless he's one of the .02% of the population that has never ingested caffeine and that was his first time, and even then it's a miniscule chance.

  2. This past year or so, in my readings, I keep coming across verses about the heart. Some verses remind me that I need to trust God with all my heart, to guard it and our pursue having a clean heart. These were personal choices that I have to make. I think my favorite has been Psalm 51:10, as I see it as a continual process that God is working on in my life. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Psalms 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. And then there are the verses that talk about God hardening hearts. I have often wondered why God chose to harden Pharaoh’s, heart. I know the verse says that through it, God would show signs and wonders, but the idea of hardening someone’s heart it a hard concept for me to come to comprehend. Exodus 7:3 But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, Exodus 9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses. And then I read about God changing King Saul’s heart. 1 Samuel 10:9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. Since this is a topic that I keep coming back to, I thought it would be interesting to see what your thoughts on it are. I know that what I have shared is just the tip of an iceberg when it comes to thoughts, verses, and discussions about the heart. Blessings.

  3. REPORT: Murdered DNC Staffer was Communicating with WikiLeaks posted by Hannity.com Staff - 2 days ago A private investigator hired by the family of murdered Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich is shedding new light into the events that led to Rich's June 2016 death. According to private investigator Rod Wheeler, who is a former homicide detective, evidence on Rich's computer appears to link the slain staffer to WikiLeaks. "The police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming,” Wheeler told Fox 5 in D.C. “They haven't been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or either at the FBI. I have been told both.” When Fox 5 asked Wheeler if his sources have told him there is information that links Rich to Wikileaks, he responded affirmatively. “Absolutely. Yeah. That's confirmed," said Wheeler. (Rod Wheeler isn't the only investigator revealing new information on Seth Rich. Fox News is also reporting that a federal investigator has confirmed to them that Rich was indeed in contact with WikiLeaks. Fox reports: The Federal Investigator went on to to tell Fox that Rich was, in fact, the source of the DNC Emails revealed by WikiLeaks.) 4. Spiritual realities are rarely considered by the children to the nth degree... God 'IS' getting rid of the forest and the tree what do you see now? What I would like to see this OP do is separate us from the idols we have in our lives .... below the premise 1 John 5:19 (KJV) [19] And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. [20] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. [21] Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. 2 Peter 3:10 (KJV) [10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, seeing how we are storage facilities what will happen to that which is spiritually reliant upon that which is not being Spiritually kept? Is this not dire in all our lives John 4:24 (KJV) [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

  5. Greetings Ted and all, I'm back after taking some time off, and I feel renewed and excited to be here (before I begin my Spanish lessons). If I may digress a wee bit, you said something here that has always gnawed at me. You said two people with the HS seeking both God and wisdom and yet they come away with different interpretations, meaning, and insight. THAT has always confused me, but I guess that goes along with why are there so many different congregations with different beliefs? And why we can't all agree on this one. Ultimately I determined this (not saying it is a revelation from God mind you) - I think God may be very interested that we major in the majors, but I don't think he's "biting his nails" when we differ over small stuff, the minors. Obviously, small stuff to God might be different to us, right? But here is my big moment in this post- I think God is much more interested and watching how we relate to each other through our differences! Ta-daaaaaaaaaaa! That is why when I get myself involved in a serious debate like this one, I stop, take a deep breath, and make sure I check myself not to have "hard" feelings toward my siblings here who disagree with me. I know how easy something like that can happen and that old wily serpent starts planting evil thoughts in my head. So, Churchmouse, davida, Giller, simple Jeff, wing nut, old school, and others I didn't mention who believe women should not teach or have any authority over man.....I BLESS YOU IN THE NAME OF OUR POWERFUL GOD AND HIS EQUALLY POWERFUL SON, LORD JESUS. Okay, you may continue now... Side note: I purposely didn't mention Willa or muffet because no one can have hard feelings toward those two sweet ladies, no matter what comes out of their keyboards. Love going out to all, especially our moderators for their hard work, spock

  7. Where does God say so? Book, chapter and verse please. Not the Pauline letters mind you. That's why the new testament is divided into sections to differentiate what is the gospel and what is the pastoral epistles that Paul wrote to his church. Not to us whom he had no command over as he well knew. They were letters to his churches. That's why he addressed them as such. And please reconcile how Paul said there is no male or female we are all one in Christ Jesus, when you then claim we are segregated by gender which then divides us from being one due to gender. Romans 2:11 For God shows no partiality. What scripture in the new testament has God saying what you claim there? After it was realized about God and by Peter, Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism. Acts 10:34 Commentary Matthew Henry Commentary 10:34-43 Acceptance cannot be obtained on any other ground than that of the covenant of mercy, through the atonement of Christ; but wherever true religion is found, God will accept it without regarding names or sects. The fear of God and works of righteousness are the substance of true religion, the effects of special grace. Though these are not the cause of a man's acceptance, yet they show it; and whatever may be wanting in knowledge or faith, will in due time be given by Him who has begun it. They knew in general the word, that is, the gospel, which God sent to the children of Israel. The purport of this word was, that God by it published the good tidings of peace by Jesus Christ. They knew the several matters of fact relating to the gospel. They knew the baptism of repentance which John preached. Let them know that this Jesus Christ, by whom peace is made between God and man, is Lord of all; not only as over all, God blessed for evermore, but as Mediator. All power, both in heaven and in earth, is put into his hand, and all judgment committed to him. God will go with those whom he anoints; he will be with those to whom he has given his Spirit. Peter then declares Christ's resurrection from the dead, and the proofs of it. Faith has reference to a testimony, and the Christian faith is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, on the testimony given by them. See what must be believed concerning him. That we are all accountable to Christ as our Judge; so every one must seek his favour, and to have him as our Friend. And if we believe in him, we shall all be justified by him as our Righteousness. The remission of sins lays a foundation for all other favours and blessings, by taking that out of the way which hinders the bestowing of them. If sin be pardoned, all is well, and shall end well for ever

  8. This reminds of a funny anecdote if I may share such... This stunning looking young woman sat next to my wife and I at church, and my wife leaned over to me and said, "I bet you won't have a problem holding her hands at the end of the service (church tradition)." (I absolutely abhor holding men's sweaty hands not knowing what is has touched.) I replied back to my wife, "I also wouldn't have a problem giving her a Holy kiss either! ......what is that exactly by the way?" My wife replied back, "I don't care if it's Holy or not, that ain't happening....." This is the day that the Lord has made, I will REJOICE and be glad in it, spock Ps No offense intended here Churchmouse.

  14. Besides also, there is no such thing as Biblical exorc&sm ... all that gobblygook is man made or worse..... None of the Apostles or disciples ever had to do any more than pray more and perhaps fast as written - usually they simply delivered AND healed people with a word - and they REJOICE at the OBVIOUS TRUE DELIVERANCE..... and made nothing at all out of the 'delivering' any more than running a scared rabbit out of the back yard !!!!!

  15. That is all I use is the hermeneutical process of literary interpretation... I am settled in my understanding of what the Scripture teaches... the man was created for God and the woman for man. Clear cut before culture was initiated found in the created purpose. Lucifer rebelled against the created order in himself and now does the same in all that is here. True peace and strength is to stand where Scripture says to stand and not be moved from that spot!

(trusting men CAUSES depression, curses and so forth as written in YHWH'S WORD - ) TRUSTING YHWH by faith in JESUS always "heads for" healing - i.e. goes in the direction of healing .... with true joy and true peace and true righteousness exactly as written all through the NEW TESTAMENT ..... in spite of circumstances (even imprisonment/ etc/ as seen in Foxes Book of Martyrs - true testimony over many centuries in many countries CONFIRMING / verifying all that we see and read from the FATHER, IN SCRIPTURE)

  24. I Corinthians 3:5-17 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. 1 Corinthians 5:9-11 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences. The first passage explains what will happen in the second passage.

  29. No you haven't. We have never discussed the topic of resurrection before. And you just told me there are 3 types specified, so please let all the readers know where we find these specified descriptions regarding different types of resurrections.
    1 point
  30. Ok Daniel, then please explain to me why Paul in I Corinthians 15 continuously uses the word resurrection, and in particular, pay close attention to what he is discussing when he does. I Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? I Corinthians 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. I Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. I Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. There is a reason you don't find the word rapture in your bible, because it is a theology that comes from men, not God. Paul tells us all about the resurrection, and how it relates to the body being raised in incorruption. John tells us in the book of Revelation about a resurrection as well, the proof is found in scripture. Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. God bless

  31. Women Prophets in the Bible God's will calls women to be pastors. We know this because there are successful blessed pastors in this world. None are so blind as those who refuse to see. There is no scripture that says God will never call a woman to prophecy . God called women as prophets but there's a segment of society that thinks God would not call women to preach what had arrived as prophecy fulfilled. That is their error and nothing will move them from it. Not even the truth that Paul's letters were to the churches of the time. His letters to the churches he founded. That is why they are demarcated as pastoral epistles. A pastor's letters to the churches under his management. And even then , Paul wasn't saying women cannot preach. All that has been said time and again and does not bear repeating when it is ignored repeatedly. The mistake the world makes is to imagine God has human faults. God calls women to preach. Those who do not accept that will have to live with that idea that God thinks women aren't able to preach his word after he knew they were worthy of his son dying for their sins. Why argue with those who limit God to their prejudice?

  36. Let's turn this around to a more personal point. You are allowed to come here and post your dislike toward God even though what you say is not the truth. Why does God not stop you from posting what you do? It is all free will. We can refuse Satan or ignore him and think it is all a lie. You need to understand that God is looking for the purest love for Him from us as we can possible have. He knows we are not perfect, yet He still seeks us. Free will brings forth selfless love. He is not looking for puppets or robots. In order to see who truly loves Him, he allows us to choose.

  40. First, im praying for your peace. So many people get hung on "am i even redeemable?" My brother was very legalistic as a young christian. When i was about 13 i used the Lords name on vain. My brother read this scripture to me (mostly to warn me to have respect for him and God). I got right in his face and screamed G.D. 5 times at the top of my lungs. "There,Now Andy, i cant be forgiven any more. We dont have to worry if im gonna go to hell or not, SO leave me the heck alone". I was just a kid, but isn't it just the honest truth? All of us have sinned. Not one of us has righteousness before God. We can't be found by fullfilling righteousness before God. We can't be lost because of sin and the law. But honestly how much peace I felt in knowing it was settled, no striving, no failing, no more disippointed looks delusions of grandeur. My eternity settled now I can go on with my life with out worry. Of course the Lord took this basic childlike human need to have peace and be done with all the striving for his acceptance. Through my rebellion showed me the profection of redeption. "It is finished". Your not lost dear friend, your just struggling with Gods judgment. No not one all their righteousness is filthy rags. We find our lord at that cross. Its our judgment an ugly picture of the evil in men. We humble ourselves and accept Jesus had to fulfill righteousness for us. It is finished. Have peace with God. No more searching scriptures to see if you have eternal life. Go to the Lord he gives us life.

  44. I agree with Omega for the most part but would add this "the unforgiveable sin" is taught or interpreted incorrectly by many--- this is what it is--- part of The Holy Spirits ministry is to show people that Jesus ( the carpenters son) Christ-- is in fact also the Son of God and God. when the Pharisees and scribes said Jesus was using the devils power to preform miracles they were saying Jesus was not God-- they where calling the Holy Spirit a liar--- that was the blasphemy part--if you do not believe Jesus is God, you can not be saved--- that is the unforgiveable part.
