  1. "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:3 "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." - John 3:5 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." - John 10:27 "Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." - John 10:5 It is the Lord Jesus who guides us in all truth, without Him we are lost. "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”" - John 8:12 Glory to God! Amen.

  2. There is a cry going forth from mainstream Christianity and among charismatics that the current disunity within Christendom needs to be addressed, and that uniting on those points upon which all can agree must be pursued with vigour in order to keep the Christian message alive and relevant to a post-modern society. Whilst it is indeed true that the number of Christian denominations, and independent churches, are many, and increasing exponentially, ‘unity’ at all costs, particularly at the cost of truth, must be avoided by any and all means. The Bible tells us (for those who claim the name of Christ and still believe in the Bible) that the time is coming that the only denominations will be those who have accepted the mark of the beast and are worshiping according to the government dictates. They are the daughters of the Mother, Babylon the Great. Because they have left the truth, they have become harlots in the same character as their mother from whom they originally came. This will leave only a small minority, a united movement who resist the majority traditions and pressures of the NWO, If they were at any stage a denomination, it has long been annulled by government decree due to their practicing their religion according to the Bible, and the Bible only. Teaching the true gospel, they will be accused of hate speech, hated of all nations for Christ’s sake, and be considered the execration of society. Accused of being the cause of God’s judgments falling upon the earth, they will in the end be sentenced to death. This is they who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.(Revel. 12:17; 14:12) They are the only ones patiently waiting for Christ’s coming. And the only ones to be translated when He appears in glory. The majority have long given up hope of the second coming; the Bible is no longer seen as relevant to modern society, its history shrouded even now in doubt and skepticism; and doctrine no longer viewed as necessary to salvation, because today there are as many roads that lead to heaven as there are that lead to Rome. The minority believers are united in the cause for truth, in the preaching of truth in the power of the Holy Spirit, in the living of truth by their living faith in the grace of God. One with Jesus and the Father, empowered by the Spirit of God, they love one another and their chief priority in life is to see as many people as possible come out of Babylon into a saving relationship with Christ. They have a Truth they know is not to be compromised, and with courage and selfless love for lost souls, they repudiate everything not in harmony with that Truth. Soon “let us be united” will be the rallying cry of the majority. And unite they will, but under a banner of error and deception. Beware of false calls to unity. Have a look at Matthew 24:4-9. Note that up to the first part of verse 7, the world is in utter disarray. Wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom. This has been the state of this world since Cain slew Abel. Conflict has been the one constant thread that is woven throughout human history. But note that in verse 9 there is a major shift. We see the nations of the world united for the very first time…united against the church! But let us pause a little and also consider Revelation 13:3…all the world wondered after the beast…. 8: and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship.…14: and deceiveth them that dwell upon the earth…The whole world is going to be deceived into false worship. This will not be Islam. Babylon the Great is a symbol of the Roman Catholic Church. The world will be deceived into worshiping according to Roman tradition; they will believe they are worshiping according to the truth, for they are deceived. Thus the final great conflict of the ages is not between atheism and theism, but will be between two brothers, one worshiping according to truth and revelation, the other according to tradition and occultist and demonic new age philosophy. An end time repeat of Cain and Abel. What evils and wickedness that permeated religious intolerance during the 1ooo odd years of papal dominion in Europe during the dark ages will be repeated on a global scale with as much ardor, fanaticism, and violence as the worst of the inquisitions of the past. Our allegiances in those days will not about denominations but about truth and obedience to the commandments of God as opposed to the commandments of men. The coming separation of Christianity under the aegis of the false prophet is the separation we ought to be more concerned about. For then there will be only two sides. How do you know you wont be deceived along with the rest of the world? How do you know you aren’t already deceived and ripe picking for the coming NWO? What is it about your beliefs and faith that makes you different from the vast majority of Christianity who will take the side of the Antichrist and worship the beast and his image?

  4. Those you mention:"the few" have been the most common over the whole world for many centuries. So they are naturally with more adherents, more followers, more members , than those who are true in Jesus.

  5. Yes, there is more counterfeit than there is "the real deal", every day. That's how bg deceived so many, and all those preachers before him and after him with him. (catholic and otherwise)

  6. You will find some here that believe the gifts of the Spirit have ended at some time in the past. Others say some of the gifts have ended, while others are still active. There are others who believe the gifts of the Spirit are still active today. I am of the latter but realize that not all who claim to have a specific gift actually have a gift. Their desire to have such a gift manifested in them acting like they do, while they do not. Tongues and Prophesy are at the top of this list as neither can be proven at the time of usage. I have personally heard many use false tongues and profess false prophecies. Let the Spirit confirm within you if a gift is real or not. He will teach you only the truth.

  7. This is utterly false doctrine, I repudiate it to the pit where it came from. Deceptive, deceiving....all for the purpose of rendering the church of Christ Jesus powerless. Jesus is ALIVE, not dead, why do you think blood and water poured out of His side, why do you think He went to the Father, otherwise He could have just stayed on earth. But He poured out His Spirit.....and He speaks today, His sheep know His voice, I have heard it.....and He does miracles today, I have seen it. You are trampling His sacrifice and I will not hear it........we have nothing to talk about.

  8. That is just the problem I finally realized, brother.........those who don't have the Holy Spirit cannot produce the fruits of the Spirit. We need Him, oh we need Him. We sure don't have any good fruits of our own......and it's just a deception to think that, and why self-righteousness is the only fruit produced from thinking it. He comes to those who will repent though.....repentance prepares the way for Him to come, thanks be to God.

  9. One chapter where man gets any glory........”heroes of faith”....... I noticed there is no chapter in the Bible about heroes of commandment keepers......can we take away anything from that I wonder? Man does not get the glory at all. Nobody would have this faith if it were not given to them from God. He gets the glory.

  10. Oh Worthlessloser, I hear you, for you are able to share your thoughts using words that come to my heart and I feel for you. You can lie down at night not fearing that a bomb may fall upon you, and I know that you have food for you are alive, I also know that you don`t want to be - scum, garbage, trash etc for those are a terrible way to live. Then I also know that you have been tricked by deceitful speakers who tell you that God wants this and that and you can have whatever. So how about start from reality and see what you do have - life, a body with all its limbs, (many don`t) health, (somewhat) intelligence, (wrote that OP), food, clean water, home, shelter, family, friends, (perhaps), material things, desires. So...now ask God what specific thing you need to change - some attitude, and work with Him to change that. Then as you do that more and more your heart attitude will change and so will your vision get clearer to what God is actually doing. regards, Marilyn.

  11. I'm happy to put in some time writing to you. I think the main reason God has me on sites like this is to be a helpful encouraging voice to those who need it and to try to give practical advice and input. I had the sense there might be something deeper going on. I'm saddened to hear it is an abusive situation and not just a learning to get along one. The reality is that abuse can harm us. The stress and other things involved can change body chemistry and start affecting us in physical ways. Sleep issues, eating issues, health issues, substance abuse issues, addictions, emotional issues, and other such things can arise when we are under stress for a long time. These can affect many things in our lives including how we relate to other people. Sometimes we get pushed beyond our limits to hold things together on our own and we snap. If the only counsel you've been getting is pray together and read the Bible together and any concerns about verbal or emotional abuse are being ignored, I'd have to ask if you are limiting yourself to talking to people in one church, denomination, or outlook. There are some circles of Christians that have a "save the marriage at all costs" mentality whose marriage counseling experience consists primarily with helping couples with "learning to get along" type of problems that are common to most marriages. In those situations, it's relatively easy to get things back on track if both partners are willing to work on it. However, when the sin of abuse (and yes it is a sin even if it's not laid out in various lists that people compile from the Bible) is ignored by the church, it is failing its members and those who are being abused. Situations where abuse, addiction, and other such things are involved are much harder and frankly require someone who with a good amount of experience dealing with those types of situations. An experienced person would have a good sense of when a separation or other more extreme measures are called for to deal with abuse. A good experienced Christian counselor would work to save the marriage and fix things; but they will also have the experience to be realistic about what might need to be done to eliminate abuse from the marriage. Have you had the opportunity to talk with a Christian counselor or an experienced pastor who has extensive experience with cases where abuse is occurring? I know that there are some in my area and our church (definitely on the conservative side with regard to marriage and divorce) treats abuse seriously. Our pastoral staff is sensitive to the difference between "this couple needs to be taught about how to make marriage work" versus "there are serious issues here, we need to bring in experienced people here". A few other things I note. One is that we all need to have a circle of friends beyond one or two people in our lives. Are there any women's prayer groups, bible studies, small groups, or anything similar that you could start making some more connections? I know our church has a number of small groups including a few women-only groups for those who've been abused in various ways. The more people you can have around you in person to support you, the better. A second thing I'll share here fits the category of "I think God might be wanting me to share this, but I'm not sure". If this strikes a chord and resonates with you, cool. If not, please ignore it. Many Christians live their life without knowing who God made them to be. They become a mixture of expectations of family, friends, church, colleagues at work, society, and what they are convinced God wants them to do. God has created us each as a unique treasure and work of art to reflect His glory in way that only we can. There's a world and enemy that hates God that wants to destroy, mar, and corrupt His intended purpose for each of us. This is not simply a temptation to sin or become addicted to things or to fall away, but rather a deeper attack that tries to prevent us from becoming the unique individual God intends for us to be. This is something deeper than our education, job, ministry, family, decisions in life, and biographical information. Often the positive influences in our life want us to aspire to those things. This is something deeper than what demographic or social groups we belong to. Often the negative influences in our life want us to define ourselves by those things. It goes to the core person who God intended for each of to become. This is not something we can easily define with labels that we ourselves or others put on us. Until we learn to see ourselves through God's eyes as the person He wants us to become, we are much more susceptible to being negative influenced by those around us and drawn into unhealthy things. We each need to learn to walk with God in the unique way He created us to. As an analogy, our life is like a garden. It contains both those seeds that God planted for us to become and those seeds planted by an enemy that hates God and hates us. We need to make sure that we are tending and watering those seeds that God planted or we can spend our lives watching useless weeds grow. I've sadly seen many people throw themselves into carefully tending weeds. No matter how fast they grow or how luxuriant they appear, the weeds are still weeds. We need to carefully learn which seeds are those God has planted in our life and tend those. The enemy loves to steer us toward the weeds to avoid having the good seed grow. I've seen people take on various demographic or social identities because it made them feel belong; and then lose their real identity. I've seen Christians throw themselves into ministry; and not know who God created them to be. I've seen people throw themselves into various relationships, causes, dreams, and goals; and then find they are defining themselves by that. Our identity needs to be in being that unique treasure and work of art that He is creating in us.

  12. Goodness me. Well, I guess all I will say is that one thing the Lord has taught me well brother and that I often say to people.....and that is I have learned to be very wary of UNBIBLICAL TERMINOLOGY.....it is usually from the evil one. I have no confusion over that, no, none at all. Bless you.

  13. The problem is that people focus too much on spiritual gifts... Gifts are not a sign of a true believer. The true believer will show fruits of the Spirit, everywhere in their lives, they worship God in spirit and truth, 24/7, all day. "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." - Romans 8:14 @frienduff thaylorde You could turn water into wine, but if you embrace sins and say they are good... Then I would keep away from you. "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?" - Matthew 7:16 But I know, I know, you do not do that. God bless you!

  14. re the rapture, pre-trib, etc ..... from Corrie ten Boom's testimony..... Corrie Ten Boom on the Rapture of the Church. INTRODUCTION TO CORRIE'S LETTER Corrie Ten Boom's letter of 1974 is shown below and in THIS YOUTUBE VIDEO. She comments on the Pre-Tribulation Rapture view which is popular today. She relays a word of warning to us in the West from the Suffering Church in China. She exhorts us to prepare ourselves spiritually in Christ, in His Holy Word, and by His Holy Spirit for the coming trials of our faith. She tells of the Chinese Church in a former time being misinformed, unwarned, and ill-prepared for he persecutions that began in 1949 under Mao Tse Tung's Red Guards. In this letter Corrie warns that Christians in the West today are in danger of falling into a similar disaster born of ecclesiastical neglect and the resultant spiritual unpreparedness. Corrie, in classic Dutch directness plainly states that those who teach a Pre-Tribulation Rapture are among the false teachers Jesus warned us about. See Mat.24:4-5). Jesus went on to say that towards the end of this age His followers would be called upon to take the stand for Him. They would testify before kings and rulers. See Luke 21:12-19. However today's indulged Western Christians don't seem to have considered that the people Jesus was referring to might be them. So Corrie's message here is "a word to the wise". It should be regarded by all serious Christians as crucially important information. Without this "heads-up" Christians in the West will be left unprepared. They are unwittingly being set up for a fall, even a Great Falling Away or a Great Apostasy. This is most unfortunate. We serve a loving God who has promised to keep His covenant people from the wrath to come. But He does tell them that 'in this world you will have tribulation' which is entirely different. Christian believers in China and elsewhere know and understand these things implicitly. They understand and accept blood covenant Christianity. These dear saints have entered into a serendipity. It is something which we in the Western Laodicean Church know little about right now. But our brothers and sisters in the Suffering Church over in places abroad are traveling up on that higher pathway, that Highway of Holiness. (Isa. 35) Theses dear saints are not trying to avoid the Way of the cross. So, why should we be angry at this message or offended by this High Calling? The wonderful testimony of Corrie Ten Boom and her sister Betsy was this. "There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still." and "God will give us the love to be able to forgive our enemies". Like King David Corrie testifies of the wonderful presence of God in times of trial and testing. He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. The bread and the wine of the Eternal Covenant is presented there on the table before us. A true bride is more than just a passive purchased concubine. She is vitally involved in the covenant issues of her Family, the Covenant People of the God of Israel. A true bride will not balk at the bridal witness. She will sign on with her Bridegroom and stand as witness to Him, come what may. This is a devotional matter of the heart first and foremost. It is not just a matter of the intellect. The true Bride of the Lamb will take the cup and drink it with thr One she loves. The Bride co-signs the marriage document along with her Bridegroom. Then she goes on to seal it in the devotion to which she may be called. She does not know what her future may hold from that point on. This is the ultimate reality of the Christian faith, the high adventure, and the true romance of the high calling. This happens before she is snatched away in the harpazo to arrive at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. And so she enters the mansions of glory in the New Jerusalem with her Bridegroom. Our God is faithful. And the lovingkindness He extends towards His covenant people is from everlasting to everlasting. Here is Corrie's letter. Her message has been entitled, "PREPARED FOR THE COMING TRIBULATION". We might also entitle it, 'CORRIE TEN BOOM AND THE RAPTURE'. - (This is from a letter Corrie wrote in 1974) "The world is deathly ill. It is dying. The Great Physician has already signed the death certificate. Yet there is still a great work for Christians to do. They are to be streams of living water, channels of mercy to those who are still in the world. It is possible for them to do this because they are overcomers. Christians are ambassadors for Christ. They are representatives from Heaven to this dying world. And because of our presence here, things will change. My sister, Betsy, and I were in the Nazi concentration camp at Ravensbruck because we committed the crime of loving Jews. Seven hundred of us from Holland, France, Russia, Poland and Belgium were herded into a room built for two hundred. As far as I knew, Betsy and I were the only two representatives of Heaven in that room. We may have been the Lord's only representatives in that place of hatred, yet because of our presence there, things changed. Jesus said, "In the world you shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." We too, are to be overcomers – bringing the light of Jesus into a world filled with darkness and hate. Sometimes I get frightened as I read the Bible, and as I look in this world and see all of the tribulation and persecution promised by the Bible coming true. Now I can tell you, though, if you too are afraid, that I have just read the last pages. I can now come to shouting "Hallelujah! Hallelujah!" for I have found where it is written that Jesus said, "He that overcometh shall inherit all things: and I will be His God, and he shall be My son." This is the future and hope of this world. Not that the world will survive – but that we shall be overcomers in the midst of a dying world. Betsy and I, in the concentration camp, prayed that God would heal Betsy who was so weak and sick. "Yes, the Lord will heal me,", Betsy said with confidence. She died the next day and I could not understand it. They laid her thin body on the concrete floor along with all the other corpses of the women who died that day. It was hard for me to understand, to believe that God had a purpose for all that. Yet because of Betsy's death, today I am traveling all over the world telling people about Jesus. There are some among us teaching there will be no tribulation, that the Christians will be able to escape all this. These are the false teachers that Jesus was warning us to expect in the latter days. Most of them have little knowledge of what is already going on across the world. I have been in countries where the saints are already suffering terrible persecution. In China, the Christians were told, "Don't worry, before the tribulation comes you will be translated – raptured." Then came a terrible persecution. Millions of Christians were tortured to death. Later I heard a Bishop from China say, sadly, "We have failed. We should have made the people strong for persecution, rather than telling them Jesus would come first. Tell the people how to be strong in times of persecution, how to stand when the tribulation comes, – to stand and not faint." I feel I have a divine mandate to go and tell the people of this world that it is possible to be strong in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are in training for the tribulation, but more than sixty percent of the Body of Christ across the world has already entered into the tribulation. There is no way to escape it. We are next. Since I have already gone through prison for Jesus' sake, and since I met the Bishop in China, now every time I read a good Bible text I think, "Hey, I can use that in the time of tribulation." Then I write it down and learn it by heart. When I was in the concentration camp, a camp where only twenty percent of the women came out alive, we tried to cheer each other up by saying, "Nothing could be any worse than today." But we would find the next day was even worse. During this time a Bible verse that I had committed to memory gave me great hope and joy. "If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you; on their part evil is spoken of, but on your part He is glorified." (I Peter 3:14) I found myself saying, "Hallelujah! Because I am suffering, Jesus is glorified!" In America, the churches sing, "Let the congregation escape tribulation", but in China and Africa the tribulation has already arrived. This last year alone more than two hundred thousand Christians were martyred in Africa. Now things like that never get into the newspapers because they cause bad political relations. But I know. I have been there. We need to think about that when we sit down in our nice houses with our nice clothes to eat our steak dinners. Many, many members of the Body of Christ are being tortured to death at this very moment, yet we continue right on as though we are all going to escape the tribulation. Several years ago I was in Africa in a nation where a new government had come into power. The first night I was there some of the Christians were commanded to come to the police station to register. When they arrived they were arrested and that same night they were executed. The next day the same thing happened with other Christians. The third day it was the same. All the Christians in the district were being systematically murdered. The fourth day I was to speak in a little church. The people came, but they were filled with fear and tension. All during the service they were looking at each other, their eyes asking, "Will this one I am sitting beside be the next one killed? Will I be the next one?" The room was hot and stuffy with insects that came through the screenless windows and swirled around the naked bulbs over the bare wooden benches. I told them a story out of my childhood. "When I was a little girl, " I said, "I went to my father and said, "Daddy, I am afraid that I will never be strong enough to be a martyr for Jesus Christ." "Tell me," said Father, "When you take a train trip to Amsterdam, when do I give you the money for the ticket? Three weeks before?" "No, Daddy, you give me the money for the ticket just before we get on the train." "That is right," my father said, "and so it is with God's strength. Our Father in Heaven knows when you will need the strength to be a martyr for Jesus Christ. He will supply all you need – just in time…" My African friends were nodding and smiling. Suddenly a spirit of joy descended upon that church and the people began singing, " In the sweet, by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore." Later that week, half the congregation of that church was executed. I heard later that the other half was killed some months ago. But I must tell you something. I was so happy that the Lord used me to encourage these people, for unlike many of their leaders, I had the word of God. I had been to the Bible and discovered that Jesus said He had not only overcome the world, but to all those who remained faithful to the end, He would give a crown of life. How can we get ready for the persecution? First we need to feed on the Word of God, digest it, make it a part of our being. This will mean disciplined Bible study each day as we not only memorize long passages of scripture, but put the principles to work in our lives. Next we need to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Not just the Jesus of yesterday, the Jesus of History, but the life-changing Jesus of today who is still alive and sitting at the right hand of God. We must be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is no optional command of the Bible, it is absolutely necessary. Those earthly disciples could never have stood up under the persecution of the Jews and Romans had they not waited for Pentecost. Each of us needs our own personal Pentecost, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We will never be able to stand in the tribulation without it. In the coming persecution we must be ready to help each other and encourage each other. But we must not wait until the tribulation comes before starting. The fruit of the Spirit should be the dominant force of every Christian's life. Many are fearful of the coming tribulation, they want to run. I, too, am a little bit afraid when I think that after all my eighty years, including the horrible Nazi concentration camp, that I might have to go through the tribulation also. But then I read the Bible and I am glad. When I am weak, then I shall be strong, the Bible says. Betsy and I were prisoners for the Lord, we were so weak, but we got power because the Holy Spirit was on us. That mighty inner strengthening of the Holy Spirit helped us through. No, you will not be strong in yourself when the tribulation comes. Rather, you will be strong in the power of Him who will not forsake you. For seventy-six years I have known the Lord Jesus and not once has He ever left me, or let me down. "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him", (Job 13:15) for I know that to all who overcome, He shall give the crown of life. Hallelujah!" - Corrie Ten Boom - 1974 I got this letter from the Jesus is Lord website who in turn got it from the Liberty To The Captives Website who got it from a post on the Hiding Place discussion forum. Part of the letter appears in the book "When Jesus Returns" by British evangelist and Bible teacher David Pawson. It is the highlighted section on page 199 copied from the book in the image below.

  15. I spent years where every time I looked into the mirror I'd look myself in the eye and think "you loser" to myself. I basically despised and hated myself. This was after 30 some years of being a Christian and while to all appearances I had a "successful" life. The issue was that I had no clue who God had created me to be. I had created my entire identity around things that I did rather than who God made me to be. God moved me into a miserable place in life where I could not rely on all the things I had been using to define myself. He basically forced me into a situation where I needed to face myself. It took a couple of years but God finally started helping me see who He had created me to be. Somewhere along the line, I started seeing myself through His eyes. It made a world of difference in my life. Nothing around me changed, but the world seems completely different than it did before. I see two distinct complaints in the OP. One is that life is miserable and sucks. The second (and I think most important) is that the OP is basically saying that God created me to be worthless, pathetic, inferior scum, trash, garbage, a loser. There's a world and enemy out there that destroys people in two ways; one is by making them believe themselves to be special and perfect apart from God just the way they are, the second is believing themselves to be irredeemably despicable and worthless. As Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10 NIV) The most important thing in everyone's life is becoming the unique treasure that God intends for them to be. We live in a fallen corrupted world that has infected us with that corruption. God's intention and desire is to remove us from this corruption and restore and recreate us into the unique works of art, the unique treasures, the unique individuals that He intends for us to be. The two parts of the gospel are that first, Jesus came to reconcile us to God, and second, that the Holy Spirit comes to live inside us and make us a new creation. God intends for each of us to be a person that reflects His glory, majesty, beauty, love, mercy, holiness, creativity, passion, and purpose to the world around us. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10 NIV) (Jesus praying to the Father) 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. (John 17:22-23 NIV) But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (I Peter 2:9 NIV) God's work in us is done in two parts. There is the initial work of Jesus in our lives. We surrender ourselves to God by admitting that we are part of a corrupt world and have that in ourselves as well and we need His help and forgiveness. The second part is that God Himself comes to live inside and starts changing us. He starts transforming us into a unique person that will reflect His glory to the world. I don't know where you are at spiritually. I just think that the OP reflects what a world and enemy (that hates God and hates everything good thing He wants to do) wants people to see in the mirror so that they give up and do not even try anymore. God created us to walk alongside Him in a grand adventure called life that is not unlike taking a long hike through the rugged beauty of an untouched wilderness. There will be ups, downs, hard stretches, beautiful views, restful places, rain, sunshine, but throughout it all, there is One beside us. The enemy wants us to lay down in a mud puddle beside the path and stay there sulking over how miserable we are and will make that mud puddle as appealing as possible so we just want to stay there. However, God wants us to get up, rinse off the mud, and start walking forward on the adventure and quest He created us for. That's who He created us to be. Be willing to get out of the mud puddle and start hiking. You are intended to be a special treasure of the Almighty even if it doesn't feel like it at the moment.

  16. Hi everyone. I'm turning 22 pretty soon and it's for me to thinking on my current situation. Since about a few years ago I've been contemplating my singleness and it has been frustrating dealing with loneliness in my life. I've been a loner all my life. I've never really had any friends or a girlfrirnd. I go to church and a few social programs but I always distance myself from everyone. I'm not good at socializing and I'm afraid I'll never be able to share the good news of Jesus with anyone. God expects us to share this news with everyone, it's the entire reason we a live on earth. But I'm just not confident. I have self esteem issues and I just don't feel I can develop the relationships or courage required to fill out this mission. What can I do? I just don't want to feel lonely anymore. I feel so depressed right now and I've been contemplating suicide the last few months. I already have a plan and the means of doing so. I'm scared and the feelings I'm having hurt. Please tell me what I can do?

  19. I think the life of any true Believer will show fruit over time.....there will be ups and downs but the overall trend should be a change for the better.......the New Man in the saved individual is internal and will be revealed on the outside as good works that come natural....any change brought about by brow- beating won’t count for anything..it is all God’s handiwork......without Him, “we can do NOTHING “

  20. Ephesians 4:1-6 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

"If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" - 1 John 4:20 And how those who say they believe in Jesus, and do not do what He said. "But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?" - Luke 6:46 "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." - Matthew 18:35 Surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, before it is too late. 24. Take care, my friend. The devil is a big deceiver. "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son." - 2 John 1:9 Or we have Him, or we do not. Sadly, many people are going to be lost. "But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." - Romans 8:9 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned." - John 15:6 I have seen nice people going to the Catholic Church around here, and all I can do is hope that their eyes are opened to the truth. But I also know that there are many of false prophets inside the Catholic Church, some are even involved in dark magic. This is true for my area, I do not know about yours. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves." - Matthew 7:15

  25. Believing IN Jesus isn't enough to be saved. You actually have to believe Jesus and what He said and repent of your sin and trust Him as your Lord and Savior. So true! Scripture speaks of this in James 2:19 where believing is not enough. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

  28. Nothing that I fear . sure he can kill the body , but no need to fear that . So let us be prepared to lose all for his name sake . I do have a question for you. You have heard of the mark of the beast . Regardless for now of what you believe concering the timing of the rapture . What will you do if its offered to you to take rfid chip or tattoe in the skin . Would you take it . I have no man made mark on my body now , and my choice is that my dead body be laid in my grave that way . You do bring up an interesting point though . It is quite amazing to me how commonplace & popular body tattooing has become . I have even seen where people are having young children or babies tattooed . I believe this will certainly play into the concept of having and " official mark " that may even be offered in the concept designer license plates being offered for your car . People will actually take pride in the personalized government " Mark " they choose for themselves , not knowing perhaps that no matter how personalized they believe it to be they all contain one common characteristic . Satan will always use our egos to achieve his means .

  32. This is called a "Christian" forum. The Truth in Jesus is my only strength and my song - and His Purpose is calling people out of darkness, into His Marvelous Light --- out of babylon, remember ? out of false religion, remember ? out of lies and deceptions into the LIGHT, remember ? This includes exposing darkness (like ecumenicalism) wherever it is found, not adapting to it, not compromising with the world or the devil or the false teachings of the world church. The longer that people have been deceived by bg or others in the ecumenical church, (some over 50 years), the more embarrassing and devastating it is for them to repent of it. But as written in God's Word, it is better to be embarrassed and devastated today, now, than in judgment later. YHVH'S Truth is unchangeable, and the same false gospel in the first century is still a false gospel today, from many false teachers and evangelists - all to be tested by God's Word, and if they fail the test, expose the false teachings before more souls are lost to them. YHVH'S WORD is Truth. They (ecumenicalists) oppose the Truth, they hate God's Word, and they condemn those who follow them as written: the blind lead the blind, and they both fall into the pit. Oh, yeah, they "sound" good, don't they !? "tickling ears" I think it's called in GOD'S WORD.... Don't hurry, don't worry, YHVH is never too late. Turn to Him, trusting HIM, and not men again, and HE KEEPS HIS PROMISE - seek HIS KINGDOM, and you will find it. He rejoices to reveal the Truth to infants/ little ones who trust HIM. And He rejoices to hide the Truth, even salvation, from the (so-called) educated ones (opposed to Him) .

Given the context of Rev 11, I think the measuring is the testing of faith that occurs during the 42 months that the false prophet is given to act. I think that trampling "the holy city" is a dual reference to both the persecution of Jews in Jerusalem and the persecution of believers around the world by the nations. I base that on Revelation 12:13-17 where the dragon attacks the woman and then her offspring. I'm not aware of any passages that would preclude Jerusalem from being trampled by the nations again. The mention of the 42 months to me indicates a new time frame, not a continuation of an existing condition.

  36. Remember it took time for YHVH to deliver Israel , His Own People, our of Egypt. And to restore them after more than 1000 years to the land YHVH appointed to Israel. LIkewise, YHVH'S People come out of the pagan religions when YHVH brings them out. (or they die or are executed)

  37. And I do not understand why they are still there. Because their doctrine seems to be another Gospel, in my country they seem to honor more Mary than Jesus... There is something definitely wrong there, and idolatry is very present in Catholic churches here (as shown in picture below). https://goo.gl/QE7Rj9 "for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God" - Exodus 34:14 And I would shout: "And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues." - Revelation 18:4 And surrender to the only true Lord and Savior: The Lord Jesus Christ. And those who are His will hear.

  38. They preached the same thing most american churches have been preaching , and 'pre tribbers' are posting on this forum. Millions of chinese believers trusted them. Many of those millions LOST THEIR FAITH, GAVE UP, when the slaughter started and continued. The chinese pastors had been taught by americans mostly. They wept that they had not properly warned the members of their congregations , so when the tribulation started and continued and many were tortured, imprisoned and killed, others gave up - they were not prepared because they had the pre-trib lie preached to them ... they had no firm ground to stand on , to resist the persecution/ tribulation/ executions, because of what they had been taught.

  39. And its why I am going to keep on sounding the alarm. A monster of a tribulation worldwide is coming . And do not think within ourselves that we will not have to suffer for his name sake. For not only is it given unot us to BELIEVE on HIM but to also SUFFER for his name sake. How many through all generations have suffered harsh deaths at the hands of men and wicked govts for standing true to Christ . So my question is , and not accusation , but simply a question . What on earth makes us better than them . IF the world hated Christ , then know it will hate us too. and the time is fast approaching and in other places it has been this way since the days of paul, but its now approaching in a ONE WORLD gaint tribulation . My advice stands.................be prepared to die , to lose all , to suffer for his name sake . Our time of relative peace in the west IS fast coming to an end. and under the all inclusive mindset a whole nother christanity is being preached and causing an upmost of a fallingaway to increase . this will lead to the betrayal of true Christians world wide , and a quick furious tribulation hour will begin . OH its coming ..................I warn us all its coming . Do not worry for whether we live or die we ARE THE LORDS. fear not man and fear not death. Be prepared to bleed for the one who first bled for us . AND rejoice when you are persecuted and forgive those who persecute you. But never conform to their wicked ways .

  40. I would not say "from the very start" as you claim. I remember TV being a whole lot different. Not sure how old you are, but in the 50's TV was a whole lot different. Today it is somewhat of a cesspool. I pick and chose very carefully what I watch. Still, it is only a tool and how one uses the tool determines what they get from it.

  41. Amen. Jesus said it is required just even to be His disciple. Later, if men take things, no worry nor fear. Corrie ten Boom's experience of such horrid treatment and the loss of all things and life of so many was and remains one of the best testimonies for women and for men today. Her books and online testimonies are still readily available, and she showed God's love to all, and she proved the tribulation/ suffering / execution of millions of Christians already (yes, also in the last few decades still, AFTER the holocaust was over - the murdering and mayhem and slaughter) IS ALREADY GOING ON TODAY).... the very thought that anyone will escape suffering is anathema in Scripture (a false gospel). 1 Peter 4 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) "So, since Christ suffered in the flesh [a]for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having [c]the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], 2 So that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills. 3 For the time that is past already suffices for doing what the Gentiles like to do—living [as you have done] in shameless, insolent wantonness ...... 42. This is a good description of what I'd call infatuation or whatever the word is for the first stage of a romantic relationship. There are two sure things about it. 1. It is the greatest feeling in the world that makes us feel like we are walking on air whenever we are with that person (which is have makes us want to be around them and constantly think about being around them). 2. It is temporary and will slowly come to an end. A lot of marriages have come to end because one (or both) disillusioned and frustrated spouse found a sympathetic person that they started becoming infatuated with. That person provided such a relief from a mundane and frustrating marriage that they seemed like the soulmate that their first spouse should have been. The sad thing is that years later, they find that they are back into the same place. One experienced marriage counselor wrote that one of the saddest things that he consistently runs across is people who come to him for help with their 2nd or 3rd marriage and realize that their first marriage could have been saved if only they had worked at it. (I'm not referring to situations of abuse, addictions, etc., but those all too common feeling bored and unfulfilled and "we don't love each other anymore" situations). I've now been married for over 30 years (with 3 adult daughters, 2 sons-in-law, and 1 granddaughter, and 2 more grandkids on the way). The way I feel about my wife now is much different than when we got married. There was originally a lot more passion, intense romantic feelings, and infatuation (as using the word in my first paragraph). Over time, that just slowly disappeared into the bland world of daily living. There were times my wife caused me frustration and pain and vice versa. No betrayals of any sort, just what happens when two people live in the same house (I suppose at times not too dissimilar to a couple porcupines in a den trying to get comfortable). The reality is that over time the two of us changed. Neither of us is the same person that the other married. Our relationship had to change and adapt over time. My sense is that every marriage needs to be an organic living thing that adapts and changes over the years and decades to remain strong. We all change over time and our relationships need to adapt to that change. There was a time about decade ago that I started wondering if being married was even worth it. I didn't feel like celebrating our 25th anniversary (and was relieved when bad weather forced us to cancel the celebration). About that time, I watched a Christian acquaintance of our family leave his wife, he left her a note and left the state with a much younger woman, and then a week later returned home after being shocked at what he had done. This surprised all of us who knew him. It was also a wake up call to me that thinking about giving up on marriage was basically a spiritual attack on me and my wife. At this point, I cannot imagine life without my wife. I am comfortable and secure around her. We know each other well and have mostly adapted to each others' quirks and annoying habits. There are some things that neither of us will ever do or be for the other; but that's okay. We have a lot together that cannot be replaced by someone else. Here are some resources we found to be among the best for improving a marriage relationship. The Shanti Feldhahn books "For Women Only" and "For Men Only" are insightful. She's a solid researcher who presents good insights into common differences between men and women. The book "His Needs, Her Needs" by Willard Harley was also helpful. He's an experienced marriage counselor who talks about the different expectations most men and women have in marriage. The reality is that most husbands and wives lovingly try to treat the other just the same way they want to be treated; and then are shocked to find that is not what the other one wants. That inconsiderate spouse that annoys us so much often treats us how they want to be treated. After awhile, we get get frustrated that they don't seem to understand us no matter what we say or try to do. Finally, there is a DVD series from Mark Gungor called "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage". We went to one of his weekend seminars, learned a lot, and went home with our side literally aching from having been laughing so hard the entire time. It was one of the most worthwhile seminars that we ever attended. We picked up the DVDs at the seminar and have loaned them to various couples. All of them said they were worthwhile watching together. Marriage is not something that just happens; it is something that needs to be nurtured and worked at. Few couples enter marriage with the tools and skills to make it work. They need advice and input from experienced couples that have weathered the storms of life. Sadly, western society seems to have lost a lot of the continuity of the support structures that help couples make it through the rough years of a marriage to go onto a longterm satisfying relationship. Somewhere along the line, my wife and I changed from that young energetic couple that couldn't keep their hands off of each other to a middle-aged couple that have now become such a fixture in each others' life that we wouldn't know what to do without the other.

  43. No, I do not. I have been in these type of discussion for decades and though there are some out there that may come close to how you view them, I do not see them in such a light. To me, those who believe in the post tribulation rapture are just warning people not to get so lax in their ways as to continue thinking they will miss all the trials and tribulation that would be headed their way. This sounds more like concern than vanity. I also do take into consideration that there are a lot of people who post that do not express themselves well in writing.

  44. What a very saddening post to read, not because of whom you are writing about, but because of your heart. Am I to assume that you know every single person well enough to say that those who believe in the "post-tribulation" are all like this, or did you just wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?

  46. Friend, have you ever truly asked for forgiveness and believed on the Lord as your Savior? If so, you are not a loser...you are a child of God through Christ. You need to change your thinking... remember who you are in Christ. The devil loves that you are so down on yourself and your mind is mired in that downward mentality. If you truly want a change in your life, start to reject the devil's thoughts. Read the word of God and seek out some verses of who you are as a child of God. I think that will help you to start to see changes in your life.

  47. As David’s men were withdrawn from all connections with Saul’s system by virtue of their association with him, so all those who are led by the Spirit to know their oneness with the rejected Lord Jesus, must feel themselves dissociated from present things here, by reason of that blessed oneness with Him. Hence, if you ask a heavenly man why he does not mix himself up with the plans and pursuits of this age, his reply will be, “Because the Lord Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, and I am identified with Him.” He has been cast out by this world and I take my place with Him, apart therefore from its objects and pursuits. All who understand the true nature of the heavenly calling will walk in separation from the world; but those who do not, will just take their portion here and live as others. Many, alas, are satisfied with the mere knowledge of the forgiveness of sins, and never think of going further. They have passed through the Red Sea, it may be, but manifest no desire to cross the Jordon, and eat the mature corn of their heavenly position. Just as it was in the day of David’s rejection many, though Israelites, did not cast their lot in rejection with him. It was one thing to be an Israelite. It was another thing to be with David in the hold. Even Jonathan was not there, he still adhered to the old system of things. Though loving David as his own soul he lived and died in companionship with Saul. True, he ventured to speak for David, and sought his company when he could. He had stripped himself to clothe David; yet he did not cast in his lot with him. Consequently, when the names and deeds of David’s worthies are heralded by the Holy Spirit (Heb 11:32), we look in vain for the name of the affectionate Jonathan; when the devoted companions of David’s exile were mustered round his throne in the sunshine of his royal countenance, poor Jonathan was mingled with the dust, having ingloriously fallen on mount Gilboa by the hands of the uncircumcised Philistines! Oh that all who profess to love the Lord Jesus in sincerity and truth may seek a more decided identification with Him in this time of His rejection! The citizens have sent a message after Him, saying, “We will not have this man to reign over us”; and shall we go and associate ourselves with these to forward their Christ-rejecting plans? God forbid! May our hearts be with Him where He is. May we know the hallowed fellowship of the cave of Adullam, where the Prophet, Priest and King are to be found, embodied in the beloved Person of Him who loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood. Oh that the Holy Spirit may kindle within us a flame of ardent love to the very Person of the Lord Jesus Christ—may He unfold to our souls more of the divine excellencies of His Person, that we may know Him to be the fairest among ten thousands, and altogether lovely, and be able to say with a true worthy, “Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may win Christ” (Phil 3:8). - C H Mackintosh MJS devotional for Feb. 21: “When the standard of the Christian life is low, the responsibility for growth is placed upon the believer. But when it is known that God’s standard for us is His Son, all expectation of maturity must be placed in Him—”for it is God which worketh in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Phil. 2:13).” http://www.abideabove.com/hungry-heart/

  48. Onward in the LORD peoples , onward in the Lord. When all affections , hopes and all are set above on Him. it matters not what we lose in this life and it matters not what we suffer, all that matters is to KNOW HIM MORE and from truly greatful hearts for having even BEEN SAVED we rejoice through it all and shall abound , even rejoice when found in prison , or on the run the gain of KNOWING CHRIST is all that matters . ONWARD through the fields and through the trenches , for a monster weapon is being formed to come against the TRUE LAMBS. and though it uses words like love , like peace and unity , HEED It not and have no part with the all inclusive interfaith lie that leadeth by peace to the one who by PEACE shall destroy many. fear not a thing that man can do. REJIOCE in the LORD when persecuted and Happy is the one who is persecuted for his name sake . REJIOCE an LEAP in that day for great is your reward in heaven. Forgive all who wrong us but never conform to the ways of the world .

  49. There is such a thing as false guilt also known as self condemnation. And this comes from satan who is our accuser who is always trying to convince us of what a loser we are. Satan is always trying to drive a wedge between us and God and one of his tactics is self condemnation that drives us away from God. As we read the bible and pray daily, we find assurances that Jesus will always be with us, through thick and thin. We might wander away at times, but he NEVER will. And when we do, he gently reminds us that we are wandering and then points us to the solution through prayer and repentance which leads us towards trusting him and relying on him to save us. While we are on this earth, we are not perfect but we are assured that if we stumble (sin) that we can always go to him in prayer and ask him to cleanse our heart of sin and he will just like he did the hour you first believed. He will not give up on you. 1 John 2: 1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. Jesus has promised he will never leave you, or forsake you and he has done this by sending his holy spirit to reside in you, when you first fully believed in him and trusted him and asked him to come into your life. You can be assured that he will never go back on his promise. He always hears you and understands even when you think no one else does. John 14 : 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, Mathew 28 : 20 And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
