  2. A lot of Christians do say they are waiting on the Lord for one thing or the other. That's actually good and what the scripture tells us to do. Isaiah 40:31 King James Version (KJV) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. We wait on the Lord for renewal of strength and provisions to take our lives further to the glory of his name. Oftentimes, we fast and pray when we say we are waiting on the Lord. However, it is pertinent to know that although waiting on the Lord is a good decision to make, some belivers don't pay attention to THE ATTITUDE THEY PUT ON WHILE THEY WAIT. This is not good enough, because our disposition when we wait on the Lord is really what brings us whatever we seek from him. Therefore, it is not enough only to wait on the Lord, our attitude while waiting is more substantial to the Lord while we wait. Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and we still murmuring against him? Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and we do not seek him deligently? Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and all that beclouds our heart is a man or woman that we think will help us? Do we still say we are waiting on Him, and we do not fellowship with the Holy Spirit? Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and it looks as if we do not even have faith anymore for answered prayers? I can say on and on. I wish you could hear God say it was your attitude that's not made him show up. You would have to repent, You would need to seek help and understand what God really wants you to do whenever you wait on him. For the Love of God, Church & Nations

  3. Renee I have this problem still myself but I try hard not to. I guess it's because I hear it daily. I don't really mean to but as time goes on I realized hey I am a sinner but your post is the reason I am gonna try to stop I know the abbreviations and my sister Laurie realizes I am trying to stop but was last time I said it cause I try so hard to let Jesus take it from me I forgot one thing. Leave it at the cross let Jesus take it from you and don't try to pull it away as that is what Satan wants you to do. See this is the problem I have I pray that this is gonna help both of us. Praying is the ultimate goal here. Thanks to you I see God is trying to wake me up and that is a good thing. My son is a non-believer so he says and cusses everyday. Only God can help us get past this so my suggestion is prayer. Thanks for reminding me of this as I know for a fact I am not perfect and need to keep my heart as clean as possible, that is thru re commitment and prayers.

  4. There is no doubt in my mind that decision makers were well able to make some pretty reliable guesses as to the secondary, tertiary and even deeper layers of reaction to the decision to assassinate Suleimani. One of the "no brainer" outcomes easily foreseen is the stripping away of the "proxy war" fig leaf that til now has kept open confrontation with Iran at bay. We have been at war with Iran since 1953, but few seem to remember what led to 1979 and all the years since. They knew assassinating Soleimani was an unambiguous declaration of open war, so the question is "why now?" Hussein never bothered to set up much in the way of sleeper cells in the US because he didn't figure out what a pawn he was until too late for him. I seriously doubt Iran has made the same mistake. What is now inevitable, is the result of a plan...this is no accidental escalation or miscalculation. When we strike Iranian targets on Iranian soil, and we will, it's a safe bet to think this will extend to our own back yards. And it won't just be Iran either.

  7. Dear sister, I I know what you are going through, ...before Christ I cussed "worse" than a sailor, ...then came that wonderful day when I was born again, ...the next day I went to work and I talked nonstop to my crew about Jesus, ...it was about two weeks later that one of my men said to me, "Boss, you haven't said one cuss word since you started talking about Jesus," ...it was like I was smacked in the face, ...it was true, I hadn't cussed, ...Jesus had taken it from me! A side note, that worker went to church with me the next Sunday and "received" Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Please allow me to explain something I believe is relevant to your situation, ...a few years ago I started to forget things in my short term memory, I would go from one side of my shop to fetch a tool and by the time I was where I kept it I had forgotten what I had come there for, ...I thought it was probably because of my age. However, I noticed others, even younger and much more younger than me suffering from the same thing, ...so it wasn't because of my age! I took it before the Lord and this is the verse He gave me: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2 Thes 2:9 Paul is talking about the antichrist in this verse, ...but the stage is set and ready for his appearing, all over the world, which is a subject too large to go into here, ...what the Holy Spirit was telling me in this verse is there are powerful spiritual forces being turned up, in this last minute of the world as we know it, and the "memory" loss is a part of what goes along with the deception we observe all around us. I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit specifically to not allow this to happen in my life and He is faithful. Now, how does this relate to your situation, a few months ago a cuss word went out of my mouth, not a "bad" one, just the H word, ...I was really shocked after all of these years, ...then a few days later it happen again with the word being more severe, it has happened about five times and the last time was the F word, ...that really shook me, ...I confessed immediately after every time, ...but your thread has opened my eyes, ...I believe the Holy Spirit is showing me the spiritual powers of darkness have been stepped up another notch! May I suggest we pray for the Holy Spirit "to" overcome this in our lives... Father, I come before your throne of Grace and and I bring my sister with me, to receive Mercy and Grace in our time of need, ...I ask Father, in complete surrender and obedience to Your Word, ...let no corrupt or filthy speech come out of our mouths, ...we allow the Holy Spirit have control over our tongues and thoughts and ask that He would block the "trigger"" thoughts that the enemy places in our minds, we ask Father that when these "thoughts" enter our minds the Holy Spirit would give us, ...words that are clean, good and edifying to the hearers, ...so that our speech will minister Grace to the them. Father, I also ask you would overcome any words her precious children have heard and give my sister the wisdom as how to talk to her children so that what satan has meant for evil, ...You would turn it around for the good, Father, we are asking in the Name of Jesus. Amen May our Lord richly bless you sister, Gene

  8. This seems to be either unresolved or perhaps it's gone unnoticed. It hasn't been acknowledged yet, so I'm having to do this for the sake of my own peace of mind. I do hope this is an acceptable means at making amends here at Worthy. @Neighbor my brother, I posted this to you yesterday. We did share some unpleasantry on my behalf and I'm tremendously sorry for the occurence of it. Hopefully you'll understand why I was upset at being misquoted from a Jihadi publication you wouldn't admit. Perhaps this was merely dismissed by you, and nothing more was necessary. I'm not that kind of person, and would like to see some resolve on it. If not, the feelings of being unforgiven trouble me greatly. Can we be restored as brothers? God bless you, David Yeah, I'm really sorry brother about earlier this morning. I was really wanting to post what the Israeli publications had to say concerning the assassination of Iran's head general, but wasn't able to copy/paste either trustworthy sources I accessed. Their opinion was priority, but where my skills lacked, OneLight easily managed. Then what came to mind was this. What exactly are the Iranians threats significantly ranting against our country and the nation of Israel all about anyway? Well, it's pretty heavy you must admit. I don't take the threatening demeanor of the way they come across lightly at all. My primary concern is both nations expected future. Having been wakened by both the blaring of one resident's television all night long until 3:00 am, and another going off like a mad hornet inside a jelly jar frazzled my nerves substantially. This is a day to day situation, and it's wreaking havoc on my better sense of well being. It's difficult to think straight on a few hours rest. Anyway, here's this heathen publication and when I see the quote Beaujangles said: it upset me. And I kinda let it get to me because I made no such quote. It came from the article and not me. So again, my apologies for taking what I considered insulting. God bless you, bro. I know you meant no malentent. Still friends? Now, c'mere and I gives ya a big ol' squishy hug!

  9. Hi, We are friends and will be, better than that we are brothers in the Lord our savior in Christ Jesus. Even if I were to disagree, even adamantly on some issue or issues, I do pray I would not take offense. I expect to disagree often as iron sharpens iron, to my benefit especially. Why I fully expect to receive strong disagreement from perhaps all on the present thread on marriage and dating as example. I may become enlightened and see things anew, I may become more adamant. Long as it leads to my learning more of my Lord's will for me I am most content at the end of each day. I do pray I will not be unhappy about my brothers and sisters for their own convictions. They are all God's treat to me personally. I may work a bit at remembering to enjoy all the unsaved and being patient with God's plan for them. Plus I do have to work at praying for my enemies. But hopefully not the brethren that have done so much in the name of our lord all of which encourages me daily. Many are used of God for my own sanctification process. I do pray for you in your "living" quarters situation. I am somewhat familiar with the horrors that come in such places, having had close family confined in one and having to do battle as their advocate to get treatment for them and to get them out of there as soon as was feasible. It is a tough living! Your battle with the noise and the foreign language is familiar too. I pray for your strength and your comfort even in the circumstance you are in. Even now the memories of such a place, with it's smells and noises is flooding back on me. I take a sigh and give my prayer for you right now. May God bless you even in such a place. May you recover and get away from it. In the meantime please know you are much appreciated as a cyber friend and brother. God bless you, Neighbor

  10. Friday 1-3-20, Tevet 7, 5780 6th. day of the weekly cycle, 14th. Winter day, For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians Three:3 Colossians Three:1-4 ◄ Colossians Three ► King James Bible Par ▾ Put on the New Self 1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Put Off The Old Man: 5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put On The New Man: 12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Christian Households 18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. Holiness In Work Life: 22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: 23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. 25But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons. Love always, Walter and Debbie

  13. Hi Renee. I have done the same, sometimes. I used to curse like a sailor before I was saved, but I still fall back from time to time. Perhaps you might want to, if you have not already done so, share with your children that everyone occasionally loses patience, gets angry, and does things that saddens God. Pray with them and help them to see by your actions that you are repentant before a loving God. It might even be a time to help them pray with you about the things they may want to confess as they turn to Him. You can make this a beautiful learning experience that can help all of you be accountable to each other.

  14. Your Life Is Hid With Christ "Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends! Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. " Philippians 4

  15. History books describe the terrible flood which destroyed Galveston, Texas, in 1900. The federal government sent a warning to the city, saying, “A great storm is coming. Flee for your lives! Find refuge in the mainland. Leave!” At that time, a long iron bridge connected the city with the mainland, and a few people left the city over that bridge. But the majority of the city went outdoors and looked up at the sky. There was not a cloud to be seen. The ocean was calm and serene. The people went back to work and about their business. The federal government sent them warning from the weather bureau not once or twice, but time and again: “A great storm is coming! Flee for your lives!” The people went out and looked at the sky. It was still blue, and the ocean was calm and peaceful. Early one morning a woman awakened her husband to tell him the wind was beginning to blow and the rain was beginning to fall. He got up and checked all the windows. The rain became a deluge, and the wind became a hurricane. Great tidal waves swept over the island endlessly. For months rescuers picked up dead bodies. The entire city was destroyed. There are some things in life that are not optional. Our mandate from the Lord to repent is exactly like that. A time of vast judgment is coming upon this world. …..Pastor Criswell Genesis 7:1 (NIV) 1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Don't let the storms of this life sweep you away. If Jesus is knocking on your door, open it and let him in.

The yard project that never quite gets finished, do you have a project like that? The one that once you are really ready to do gets pushed back till you have to start from scratch again and so you kinda cover the same beginning steps again and again? Doesn't seem to be born of laziness, more from distraction of other things to do also. Maybe there is purpose in it?

  23. https://creation.com/spurgeon-on-evolution As For Charles Spurgeon, From what I can tell about his beliefs reading his commentary on Genesis 1 Is that he believed in a long first day, which is the realm of what we Know as Gap Theory. He believed in the six days of creation. By The Above Quote, He obviously did not believe in the theory of Evolution. Here is the link to the commentary. So I think it is safe to remove him off your list of Pro evolution theologians, and he was no Theistic evolutionist either. https://www.studylight.org/commentaries/spe/genesis-1.html The Point of all of this is to show that you all are just spouting evolutionist talking points based on misinformation that has infiltrated the WWW. Go to the original sources, and the Truth will come to light. For example, I doubt whoever promoted the Quotes of Spurgeon ever wen and looked at the Original documents, and instead passed along the Quote without reading the entirety of the document. They probably do not even know what Gap theory is, and that despite this allowing for a long earth, still promotes the Biblical creation, a conjecture at best, One that I do not agree with, but one that does not defy the literal Scriptural account. So Another so called theologian who denounces evolution, and not a supporter as you all have claimed. So That is now two points of yours I have debunked. These things take time so bear with me as there are more likely coming. I am sure you know but most Christians are not familiar with the "Gap Theory." When the TOE was gaining popularity, some theologians were afraid science would show the Bible to be wrong, so they invented the "Gap "theory." To do this they had to change a word in Gen 1:2. They changed "was" to "became". If it is necessary for man change a word in God's word, what they are trying to prove can automatically be dismissed as being true. Love, peace, joy

  24. Humanity DID go to Sheol in death before the cross of Christ. Luke 16:19–31 (AV) 19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Sheol is described as having three compartments / divisions. The side of suffering, the side of promise (Abraham's bosom), and the gulf (or abyss) between the two... which did not hinder their ability to see the other side or communicate with the other side.... But the day of the Lord's death on the cross: Ephesians 4:8–10 (AV) 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) All who were in the side of promise (Abraham's bosom) Jesus came to as a disembodied Spirit (God the Word in fact), declared the victory to those in prison in the side of suffering AND in the abyss (Jude 6, Revelation 20:1-3): 1 Peter 3:18–22 (AV) 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. The he took the disembodied spirits of the people in the side of promise (Abraham's bosom) to heaven (Ephesians 4:8-10) where they are to this day awaiting the Lord's return when the dead in Christ shall rise first in the resurrection of the dead (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, Jude 14-15). Since the cross of Christ. Abraham's bosom is empty. And when a believer in Jesus Christ dies (since the cross) we go to heaven as disembodied spirits also awaiting the Lord Jesus's return and the general resurrection of our permanent spirit-bodies. Be blessed.

God chooses to involve us and that is the way it will be. It is for His heavenly assembly on the sides of the North and is really an all encompassing situation where heaven meets earth in the final conflict. Har-mi-geddon is NOT the plain of megiddo.

  27. That is correct. Many don't know what you posted; 'rosh' is a title or a concept and has nothing to do with a country. In my mind there is another reason why Russia may indeed be involved. The language of Eze 38 certainly suggests the rise of a great army from the north. How far north is always the question. This is why many think Turkey. I am of the mind that Turkey will be involved but the many people like a cloud to cover the land suggests it's of greater scope than Asia Minor. Add to this the idea of 'extreme', 'uttermost', 'deep recesses' from the word for 'quarters' in Eze 38 and the idea is the far north. Directly north of Israel is Turkey. Beyond that is Ukraine, Belarus and Moscow. Farther than that is Scandinavia. So Russia is almost certainly a player based on this but also Zech 14, "I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it;" That has to include Russia and is in the context of the return of Jesus. Ezekiel 38, as far as I can tell, deals with the battle in the valley of Jehoshaphat at the very end. I don't see Russia coming against Israel any time before that.

  28. There will not be a 'Russian' war. This is 50s rhetoric only. Sure they may sell arms, but the so called 'rosh' thing is not a Hebrew originated word and has been misunderstood. The 'rosh' thing is a red herring and it only refers to a particular leader or status title. Hebrew cannot be transliterated any other way. It is not an Indo-European language.

They come against us to rob us of our love joy and peace, as the enemy comes to lie, steal and destroy. We should not entertain those thoughts but a strong "get behind me satan" might help. "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Jas 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Jas 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands Jas 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Jas 4:9 Lament and mourn and weep! 33. Thanks for your input and insight, sister. I found it concerning when a major internet source of purchase allied between communist China and the nation of Arabia. Some have made mention of alibaba.com here, and I've also made the mistake of doing business with them for these John Lennon glasses. It was odd too. They asked to either communicate in English or Arabic and not Chinese. And I went around and around at one point trying to deal with a bot on my purchase. Why these two countries got together in the first place baffled me for a moment or two. Snap! Arabia has oil and China has precious gems. A few other members here have dealt with alibaba.com and had trouble ridding the influence over their computers. I also did, but had the fortunate help from expert tech support out of India. These are highly trained well educated people, with excellent English skills as well. Again, thanks for your thoughts.

  40. It looks like I'll be the minority on this. I believe it is perfectly fine to pray for justices. However, they also need to forgive. But I do not believe in blanket mindless 'forgiveness' where you keep walking into people who harm you, because you forgive them. It's this logic, that pastors tell abused wives, to stay in the same home as an abusive husband, and then the wife ends up killed. As for what these enemies are doing, I would say that too many Christians fail to take logical protections. You need to protect your family, and that might mean disconnecting from someone damaging your family. Maybe the reason that these other people are not turning from their evil, is that G-d is waiting for this family to step up and make changes.

  42. Good side of Sheol? When the believers are resurrected they will go to heaven. Those who are not believers will go to Hades which is a temporary place before being judged at the Great White throne judgment and then to hell.

  44. The Torah is considered the inspired Word of God by both Jews and Christians alike. Christians, however, see Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies and believe the Law was fulfilled in Christ.

  45. Jesus fulfill the law. We are justified by his blood. You guys want to put a yoke on the neck of the believers. Your taking out of context those verses. Before the cross you had to follow torah. After the cross we live by the spirit.

  46. “ All Those That wish to be under the Law are also under the CURSE of the Law.” If you break just “ one” Law, you have broken them all.....have you trimmed your beard lately? Have you killed any of your children for being disrespectful ? For the love of Pete! Give it up already! You don’t keep the Law and you CANT keep the Law.It was given to drive you to your knees, to show you that you were a sinner that needed Savior.....The reaction to seeing the utter hopelessness Of truly keeping the Law should elicit two reactions—- “ woe is me” and “ God , have mercy on me a sinner” . The Law is there to “ shut the mouth” of all who try and fail to keep it.If you fail to shut up about the Law as a means of Salvation......you have missed the entire point of it and you are as lost as lost can be.....Obey the Law as best you can .....You will be blessed for that wise endeavor— you won’t be saved, however.Obey the Gospel Of 1cor15:2-4 and rest in it if you seek Salvation....that is the Plan Of God, this side of the Cross.....in this splendid Age Of Grace.
