Would being Catholic keep one from being saved?

I know the main issue is. Worshipping Mary.. 

But despite. That I know there are some very devout Catholics who take their faith seriously. 

Will misplaced prayer keep them from a deep relationship with God?

Sister ,    me being an full out wicked thing , and God still drew me to Christ .

SO yes ,  he can call them out of their great vile and wicked system too .   He pulled me out of darkness ,  HE can them too .  

SO be encouraged .  Rome may be the pit of hades on earth  , but that don't mean no catholic can be pulled out .

We have had people pulled out of many false and dire wicked systems by the POWER of CHRIST .  HEY ,  he can pull them out of that monster too .

I have no doubt .   He called me out of darkness and changed me .   He can change anyone .  THAT is a fact . SO be encouraged .

No matter your denomination, you gotta be saved, born again. The odds go way down in the RCC. Why I got out. Got Saved. Thank you, Jesus.

Well i was once a catholic and i know for sure now that i was not saved while i was a catholic..

If they are truly believing on Christ as their own Savior, they can be born again....but that won't happen if they are just trusting in rituals and wrong teachings to save them.   God knows their hearts if they are truly realizing their sin and their need of Christ, and are looking to Christ alone for salvation.

Roman Catholicism was the direct result of the Roman take over of the Church through Emperor Constantine. 

Some believe Catholicism is what the Roman Empire itself morphed into... a World religion with a Christian label (and

some familiar doctrines to keep up appearances).

And there are many unbiblical problems with Roman Catholicism than just Maryology... 

That being said...

The Protestant denominations have brought forth many of those unbiblical doctrines into their Reformation.

Understand, I am not judging any... the Word of God does.

Whenever any where you see opposition to the truth of God's Word-> the rebellion of satan is revealed... as evident from the very beginning time seen with mankind

Gen 3:1-4

So when the rebellion above is seen even though there might be convincing beauty

2 Cor 11:14-15

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

It is not rocket science - anything that influences, draws, encourages  you to worship the created thing (idolatry) is of the evil one...
