  2. PREDATORS, DANGEROUS DEVIANTS & J.D. HALL (of Pulpit & Pen) MAY 30, 2015JANETMEFFERD It’s really disgusting out there. Not just out there, in the moral cesspool of American culture. I mean out there, in the moral cesspool that is rapidly and tragically coming to define American evangelicalism. ....... Now you might remember the name J.D. Hall. He is a Montana-based pastor, author and founder of the Pulpit & Pen blog. But he is perhaps best known for his online harassment of former Brewton-Parker College president Ergun Caner’s teenaged son Braxton, who tragically ended up committing suicide last year. According to The Christian Post, Pastor Hall “confessed to his congregation at Fellowship Baptist Church that he was ‘crushed” by Braxton’s death.” Pastor Hall, who’d become notorious in many Christian circles for his aggressive online battles in the name of “defending truth,” told his church at the time: “The irony is that about three weeks ago I made known to you, my flock, that I was walking away from these conflicts. … In one sense, I am reaping what I sowed. When you live by the sword, you die by it … Knowing now that this young man struggled with that level of despair, I am even more sorry that my interaction with him was adversarial rather than pastoral.” At the time he said this, I thought Pastor Hall’s response to the tragedy was wholly appropriate and right. How impressive, I thought, that he could humble himself like that, admit how wrong his behavior was and vow never to become adversarial in an online context ever again. Good for him! Well, that was then. Because as soon as Pastor Hall saw my husband deny on Twitter that he was literally a “rapist at heart,” he swooped in for the kill. He tweeted to my husband: “Yeah, are you sure? Our view of depravity calls baloney on that.” When I retweeted my husband’s response, Pastor Hall further mocked me for retweeting my husband’s denial, telling us, “You know what’s funny? Your wife RT’d that like she believed you.”

  3. God - "I cant change, what you did. But I can clean you from that sin." When my first week with Father end, whole week or so i did ask questions about everything - life , world, wonders, mysteries, Bible, me and so on, i did start study Bible with Him. i remember very clear how He did explain me Bible, about quote with stones, altar and why Father told, - dont change stones. but just lately i did remember, what did happen after. when we did talk about "come to God as you are", i did remind something, i did wrong. when i told Father - forgive me , that i did it wrong. Father told me - I cant change, what you did. But I can clean you from that sin. DONT TELL ME, WHAT YOU DID, TELL ME - WHO YOU ARE! THAT MEANS "COME AS YOU ARE" its a big difference. its easy to say - oh! sorry i did stole yours bag! but try to say - forgive me, im a thief, i did stole yours bag. its a big difference. and its truth. it hurt, but it is only way, let Father to clean you - ADMIT TRUTH, NOT ONLY SIN, YOU DID COMMIT. again my kids were those, who needed that lesson and Holy Spirit did remind me, why i always ask forgiveness, who i am, not only, what i did. i forgot reasons and lesson and how i did get there, as many other things, i know now, but forgot, why.. i am glad, Holy Spirit did remind me that lesson. and i am glad i can share it.

  4. Being single, I find it hard to buy a lot of fresh vegetables because I invariably end up throwing good money in the garbage. I DO eat a lot of vegetables though so the frozen ones just make more sense for someone like me. This new study finds that I, and a lot of other people, can stop feeling guilty about not eating the fresh varieties. It seems we aren't losing the nutritional value and, bonus, we save money! http://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/2017/04/21/are-frozen-veggies-healthy-study-suggests-surprising-finding.html

  5. I do not like this pulpit & pen guy, I don't believe the Lord has called anyone to sit online and pick others apart. Yes we are to have discernment but not to the point where it has become our obsession instead of the love of God. Seems Satan either wants us to have no discernment or to become so obsessed with it we end up attacking our brothers and sisters in Christ. Not edifying at all.

  10. Your missing a big point brother. The gospel saves us. The Orthodox church is saved by thar gospel. Not everyone is saved because there in the Orthodox church. Look at you . You were raised in RCC but did not really received christ. That does not mean others did not. We are saved by the goodnews through faith. Not the preaching of justification through faith. That's the truth. He condemns whole churchs to be not in the faith. That's bigotry in fact. I believe in justification through faith. But that's what happens to me when I believe and trusted in the gospel.

  11. Blessings Eha Thanks for sharing with us,I have a suggestion for you-well not really for you Sister ,for everyone.....why not "Be Still & wait on the Lord".....give a person a chance to answer a question someone asks so they may perceive it their own way & reply, then if it was misunderstood or not stated as it should have been they can communicate without anyones interjections(jumping the gun) As we can all see,our Brother & Sister simply had a little difficulty in understanding one another.....both were forgiving of one another & took responsibility for themselves ....as it should be We REASON TOGETHER we don't assume what anyone's intent is,we only need "ask" Many times we must overcome language barriers, not everyone's native tongue is English......a little patience goes a long way.... "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance (patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." With love-in Christ,Kwik

  12. The gospel brother, is not preaching justification through faith alone in christ alone. The gospel is the preaching of the cross and resurrection of God's son Jesus. Don't confuse the two. Many people might not even realize justification through faith is a truth but they are justified by faith when they receive Jesus Christ and become children of God. This doctrin of justification through faith is not the gospel. Jesus himself is the goodnews. And the Orthodox church has it.

  13. Thanks. I don't think many Christians understand the significance of the Leviticus 23 Feasts as appointed by God. I hope some acquire that book I cited earlier by Kevin Howard. It really opened my eyes to see those appointed Feasts POINT TO MESSIAH! It's not just a Jewish thing. Like I said, until 10 years ago, I too didn't have a clue either. Shabbat Shalom, spock

  14. Thanks Sis......Oh dear, well I was not about to read 5 pages there or 14 here,Arphaxad put up a nice OP......And again,I don't think its about "trust" or "lack of".....its about having respect for your spouse that no one else may think(or imagine or 'say") you are dishonoring them & thats simply because you love them & are an honorable individual with common decency...I think very highly of my husband and would not want anyone to think he was being made to look foolish, its just disrespectful imo THe funny thing is that I've been single many many years and have "single"Brothers-in -Christ that have been my dear friends for 35 years, they are still my dear friends but things have changed .....and because they are my dear friends they respect my husband as much as they do me.....there is not any good reason we would have for dining alone.....& I might add that my husband is in Australia and I'm in America, one Brother did join me for my birthday, for a meal someone gifted me with,I did not want to go alone,I was not feeling well enough to drive His wife was going out of town & it was her suggestion he accompany me,my husband was thrilled I got to redeem my gift instead of staying in the sick bed alone on my birthday ......busy place, early dinner, special circumstance

  17. Romans 12:10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. What a glorious observation and recollection to bring into this discussion brother. Thank you. May the words of our beloved brother Paul herald a change of heart for the saints that do not speak as saints of saints when speaking of members of the eastern church. Paul's letters to the church in Corinth Greece is a mighty sending of our Savior in these troubled times here. Thank you again. God's blessings, J. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

  18. Having a foothold of oppression is not the same as possession, which is what I think you are referring to in the second paragraph. Even those who have His Holy Spirit, when not careful, can be oppressed and when weak, be led by deceit and lies, and even give place to the flesh. Nobody should ever think they cannot take a wrong turn in their decision making because they have the Holy Spirit. We all need to take heed to His leading in our lives or we will find ourselves in the wrong place doing the wrong thing. Take these boards as an example. Look at the words of those who are His. Not all replies are from Christ, but of the flesh. They are easy to recognize if you look at their fruit. One hateful statement seeds another hateful reply.

  19. I would have helped you while bidding you good morning. I would suggest you not feel bad for being upset at that. Remember, even Jesus had a temper. I run into all sorts in my travels. I'm a people watcher. I sit at outdoor cafe's and feed the squirrels and birds pieces of bread or seeds and I enjoy watching how we of the human community interact with one another in relative comparison to the squirrels and birds at my feet. It's an interesting comparison. Squirrels and birds will flap and dart one among the other seeking out the bread and seed. When they find a patch of plenty they'll sit together and eat at their leisure. No one of the bird or squirrel being greedy or offensive to another. They share the large area of sustenance and each has their own little bounty before them. Side by side bird and squirrel feast in peace. But watch the people at the cafe as they enjoy their finger sandwiches and drink. Packages purchased at the boutiques nearby rest in decorative bags at their feet. They have money because those shops sell very expensive things. A homeless man digging in the garbage bin near a coffee shop hoping to quench his thirst with someone's discard. Perhaps sate his hunger with the sliver of bread thrown from a sandwich into the rubbish. Let that vagrant who's so desperate to survive approach any one at those tiny outdoor cafe tables and see the comparison between the mannerism of squirrels and birds disappear as human meets human. Those that have and those that have not. Name calling, accusations like, get away, what's wrong with you? You stink. Take a bath. Get a job! The calloused hands tremble, the tired eyes that have seen far too much at any age, but especially when looking to spend another night in a cardboard box in an alley well up with tears. He's just been told he has no right to ask for help to exist. Pray for that one that did not see you needed help up the ramp brother. There's hope in his heart when at least from his mouth he bid you good morning. Not everyone see's what is there needing to be seen. But that they see something at all is a blessing that says there's hope for next time. May God keep you in his protection, bless you with his strength, and bring peace to you always, J.

  20. I wouldn't agree with that in its entirety. Certainly those who are not in Christ will absorb darkness when they let themselves endure dark places. But what of the sisters and brothers who are missionaries in dangerous places? Those countries that are hostile to our faith? Especially in the early centuries when for instance Jesuit brothers would enter into ancient Japan and minister the word of the Christian God. That very dark place wherein the Japanese authorities would torture those missionaries for daring to speak the truth of our Lord Christ did not turn those brothers dark. They gave their lives as martyrs so as to deliver the light of truth to a fallen people. Those missionaries that enter into any hostile pagan lands to this day. They live among the people , maintain their resolve to bring the good news to tribes, and cultures, that do not have this. That environment does not turn them dark. It inspires their resolve ever more to bring the light does it not?

  21. I remember a remark rebuffing the observation of slander against fellow Christians in thread after thread intending to generate hatred and malice toward Orthodox Christians. I invoke that denial now when posting the truth about a pastor that produces hate speech in the name of his god. Years old, this truth made news everywhere: Google results by the hundreds:Christian Post, Pastor Hall & bullies boy to suicide And contrary to the actual slander against Coptic Christians that has been pursued on this forum without the dictates of Jesus love for one another, and love for our enemies, as some may see Orthodox Christians, the ignorance that pursues that slander at a constant basis insures it will not be educated by the facts. Otherwise, were it to be so, it would learn that it is a lie that is being published at Pulpit and Pen. When a pastor with a blog posts hate speech against a people who are targeted in Egypt for their faith and are slaughtered by evil that thinks they have no right to live. A pastor! And in print a Christian pursues an agenda intent on calling those same people, the Orthodox, all manner of vile names . Anything but children of God and followers of Christ. And what does that accomplish but proof that the campaigners against brothers and sisters in Christ know nothing of Apologetics. And nothing of Christian history. What Christian pastor hates the Orthodox? What Christian filled with God's holy spirit carries forth that pastors mission to slander members of God's church? God's first church after that of his son Jesus! The above was published by a man who harassed a boy so badly that that child eventually killed himself. And now we have that same pastors harassment of the Orthodox Christians pursuing its assault here and hoping to corrupt the members of Worthy Christian Forums with the lies that the pastor publishes. And others distribute. A pastor that ignorant of church history should be identified as openly as he is identifying himself as a bigot. And as bigots are, he's ignorant as the day is long! This below will prove it. Any Christian here who spent any time in the hate speech threads inviting contempt and ridicule to descend on the Orthodox should at least owe it to their Baptism to read below. That way they'll be smarter than the bully pastor about their own religions history. This is a link from the thread that is posted in the LINKED:Apologetics Board section here. This is the source for the thread:LINKED:Where did all the Christian denominations come from? The hubris of the Protestant that thinks theirs is the only true way is sorely misinformed. After Jesus Christ and his ministry, his church, there was that which is being targeted by a fallen pastor who bullies a child till that child kills himself. And then he pursues a slanderous campaign against the first church after Christ! Because he hates! Rather than loves as Jesus commanded. The Protestant faith that thinks it has every right to hate in the name of God is over a thousand years late in following God and Jesus Christ! That is HISTORY PEOPLE! Slander against the truth be known for what it is! And from the father that brings it life. Coptic Christians (Egyptian Oriental Orthodox) 451 A.D. Perhaps the most amazing, strong, and devout followers of Christ on the earth. Just as the Waldensians are the most persecuted of all protestant denominations, the Coptic Christians of Egypt are the most persecuted of ALL Christian denominations, period. Founded by John-Mark (author of the "Gospel of Mark") in the first century A.D., this church flourished under the authority of the Eastern Church (later to become the Eastern Orthodox church in 1054). At the council of Chalcedon, when the Western "Roman" church began to over reach its authority. This little group of believers was wrongly accused of monophysitism (the Christology that claims that Jesus has one combined nature of God and man). Nothing could be further from the truth as their own creed of faith clearly states that they hold to one Divine nature and one Human nature in perfect unity without mix which is essentially the orthodox position for all of historic biblical Christianity. They were persecuted by the Western Church (early Roman Catholicism), abandoned by the Eastern Church, and eventually persecuted by the Muslims with heavy taxation, beatings, and martyrdom. Were it not for a letter to Mohammed to "spare the Copts as they are your 'kin;" The Coptic Christians would have possibly been driven out or worse, wiped out. But they survived and still exist today and are constantly in the news for all of the atrocities that the Muslim Brotherhood inflict upon them. They come under heavy persecution and have had survive almost 1500 years of constant attack. This church is the fulfillment of the Isaiah prophecy that an "altar would be built in the midst of Egypt" and a "pillar placed" - The Coptic Christians are both an altar to the Lord and have had to be a pillar to His glory for 15 centuries!

  23. Yes, there is a big difference between committing sins and admitting that we are sinners that are totally lost without God. When I first asked for forgiveness it was for sins, and I truly repented. But I thought God was just giving me a second chance to try to be good enough to go to heaven. I didn't understand that God was forgiving me for being a sinner. It was a few months before I found a Bible I could read and a church that taught me better came a year after that. Thank you for sharing it.

  29. Does not John 7:24 tell us we should not judge by appearance but use righteous judgment? We know ourselves to be able to stumble and err in our walk. How are we to recognize when we do so if we do not have sincere members of the church to share righteous judgment and help guide our steps when we may not notice we stumble? There is a manner in which the brethren share the love of Christ and keep and guide one another to walk in the light. From a place of love is where we are to be in community with one another.

  30. I asked a simple question: In the scriptures that you have posted to prove the rapture, where do they say anyone will be taken up to live in heaven.? What I am doing; is disproving the 'rapture theory'. It is unbiblical and isn't what God actually does plan for His people.

  31. Pedantics and any making of scripture to what people want it to mean, is seriously wrong. We know that John 3:13 means exactly what it says from other scriptures: John 8:21-23 Jesus said: I am going away and where I go you cannot come.... John 7:34 You may seek Me, but you cannot find Me, for where I go you cannot come. John 17:15 I do not pray that You should take them, [Christians] out of this world, but that You keep [protect] them from the evil one. You, Marcus have completely misrepresented John 3:13 and you do it because of the false 'rapture to heaven' belief that you and many others have fallen for. Satan is so happy that his scheme to fool Christians into thinking they won't have to face tribulation, has been very successful. It makes Christians complacent and unaware of the truth of God's plans, but worse; it makes them twist and misinterpret scripture to suit their false beliefs. I have posted here and on my website, all the Bible truth of the Prophetic Word about what will happen according to God' plans for the world. And like God told Jeremiah 28:11, they are for our good, not harm. We should be looking forward with great anticipation for God to bless us, as He has promised.

  32. Wayne, i do want to say I've enjoyed discussing this with you. Not many people probably want to discuss this for fear of getting their traditions challenged. I remember when my wife and I came to the decision to NOT celebrate Christmas and Easter like everyone else, it was not easy at first. Friends and family tried to make us feel badly and we took some heat for it, and still do somewhat. So, there is definitely a cost when you swim against the tide. But, we followed our consciences and research and here we are today, telling people why we keep the Sabbath day Holy and why we worship his resurrection and entry out of the womb on different days. In case you didn't know this- its no skin off my back if you reject everything I said. You are not accountable to me and while I was a teacher for 20 years, you have never been my student. shalom buddy, spock pS if I wasn't so content worshipping in my home with a few other radicals like me, I might check out that worldwide church of God you referred me to. 35. I am definately no interpreter of dreams, but in the past had some profound dreams myself and they had nothing to do with the world, but what was going on in my life personally at that time.. One repeated dream over about 4 yrs took me a very long time to discover it's meaning. It was always a black dog, holding me down or cornering me, and the fear in those dreams was so intense. Looking back later, I realised it was always someone who had came into my life, and their friendship was not pure, but damaging in some way. All these "friends" I had high hopes for in converting to the Lord, and I invested so much time and energy into them, but they chose the other way and revealed a real "meanness" in their spirit towards me in the end. I don't dream this anymore, and I don't yoke with unbelievers. You know, let them become a real part of my life, by doing all the girly things together, meeting up, and talking everyday on the phone. I am more fulfilled now and I don't need all that. But I know the feeling of an intense dream, and you know deep down inside it has meaning, but can't solve. Look I don't know anything about you, and I could be wrong, but the first thing I thought of when you mentioned the white tiger was Christ. White is a symbol of purity. Tigers have strength, and this white tiger stood out from all the other tigers. You then mentioned someone driving, and he was on your right, and the white rose I immediately thought of Christ who is risen from the dead. You need Christ to be your right hand man, and he is the one who is steering for you. You driving that scooter enjoying the wind blowing at you, looks like your experiencing control, ...self control, a good thing, and the wind is the spirit of the Lord opening your eyes making you feel free. You enjoy so much you want to share it with your sister. Now the last one with your father giving you the jaded silver necklace, I see as a father figure giving you something precious. Jade is a precious stone, and in the bible precious stones mean "wisdom". If you have Christ in your life, and you read and study God's word, you will definately gain some wisdom, and it's this wisdom that can only come from God, your heavenly Father. Wisdom is what will protect you from what's to come. Knowledge to make the right choices. Your dream is for you alone, and you are the only one that can really interpret it after certain events unfold in your life. Normally, events will take place in the next coming weeks, and when you look back, you can say, ah ah, now that makes sense. That's how it used to happen for me, but I don't remember my dreams anymore nor have any profound ones.

  37. God's blessings that you deemed us worthy of your precious testimony. I have in my years grown more and more adept at watching what happens in my life and how if I take the time I see God, Father as you say, delivering an opportunity to put his wise teachings into action. We can read the Bible all day long but if we do not glean the message there, the instructions there for incorporating those parables, idioms, allegory, into our own lives, we miss the point. And the Bible then serves as just a book. Which is not meant to happen for those who are members of God's church. Thank you again for sharing.

  38. This is a beautiful post. But have you noticed brother? It is not paid attention to at all. Eight views, not a single comment. Meanwhile, threads that breed bigotry and hatred against the first denomination in first century and against a public persona who's been on the air for decades, flourish with hatred, seeking to seed divisiveness in the community of Christ all across the Net. That which is not in the spirit publishes articles attacking the Copts hoping to gain ignorant followers to pass his slander along the Web. We live in a fallen world brother. If we ever have doubt the spirit that is lord of this world will afford us the opportunity of reminder. Thank you so much for sharing this. It will educate those who are in Christ. And it shall damn those who are liars and expose their ignorance and black heart across the Net for being found in search engines. BEAUTIFUL! Just so you know, I'm going to copy the part about the first church, the Copts, and knock the devil right between the eyes. Those that have the eyes to see shall see. Those that never did shall appear. God bless you for bringing what is long overdue to the attention of Christians here.

  39. Precious Remedies Against Satan’s Devices by Thomas Brooks. SATAN'S DEVICES TO DRAW THE SOUL TO SIN [12 devices & their remedies] 1. By presenting the bait & hiding the hook: For remedies, consider that • we ought to keep at our distance from sin, don’t play with the bait • sin looks sweet, but tastes bitter • sin will bring us the greatest sadness • sin is extremely deceitful & bewitching 2. By painting sin to make it sound or seem good: For remedies, consider that • sin is never good, no matter how you paint the story • the more sin has been spun as good, the more dangerous it becomes • we should compare sin in the moment with how we feel about it later • sin cost Jesus his life 3. By making excuses for sin & pretending sin isn’t that bad: For remedies, consider that • sin that seems “small” still brings God’s wrath & judgment • giving in to “small” sins is a gateway to committing “larger” sins • it is pathetic to sin against God for earthly gain or comfort • often there is real danger in the smallest sins • believers before us chose to suffer greatly rather than commit sin & offend God • in light of the Truth of God, our soul cannot bear the weight & guilt of sin • God didn’t spare Jesus wrath over even the “smallest” sins, Jesus drank the dregs 4. By comparing our sin to a great person’s sin, but ignoring their virtue in sorrow & repentance over sin: For remedies, consider that • God recorded sins of past believers, but also their repentance as examples for us (i.e. Paul, David & Hezekiah) • it’s not a Christian’s job to sin • God does not disown believers who sin, but He does punish sin severely • God recorded past believer’s sin to: 1) remove despair over sin’s burden 2) warnings/guidance 5. By presenting the lie: “Sin as much as you want, God is all mercy!”: For remedies, consider that • when God leaves someone alone in sin, it is a sign of His great anger towards them • God is as just as He is merciful • taking advantage of His mercy will bring the swift, stinging judgment • God's general mercy (sustaining life) is over all, His redemptive mercy is confined to Christians • God's redemptive mercy is our most powerful argument against temptation & sin 6. By convincing that repentance is easy & we shouldn’t regret sinning: For remedies, consider that • repentance is a gift, a difficult work above our own power • repentance converts the entirety of a person, from only living to sin to living for God • repentance is always active; it is a continual act that never ends • if repentance were easy, fewer would be roaring & crying out in hell • repentance is just as much an evidence of God’s grace as not sinning is • Satan tempts that “repentance is easy,” but soon presents our sin as unforgivable & repentance as impossible 7. By presenting the thought that we can resist failure when walking the line of temptation: For remedies, consider • scripture that commands us to avoid temptation & anything remotely evil. • that overcoming sin is impossible if we don’t avoid temptation • Christians should avoid temptation as if we are running from hell itself • Avoiding & resisting temptation is evidence of Christ’s grace 8. By thinking that wicked people have more happiness & a better life than Christians: For remedies, consider that • A person’s outward comfort or “blessing” does not represent God’s heart toward them • nothing provokes God's wrath more than those who take advantage of His goodness and mercy • there’s no greater curse than never knowing the pain of God’s correction • the unrighteous may seem to have honor & riches, but lack the greatest treasure: redemption • outwardly they seem to be happy & well off, but inside are unsatisfied & fearful of loss • God allows them to be raised up & spared affliction for now, but they will soon be brought low • God often internally plagues those people we perceive as externally “spared” • even if the ungodly enjoy a carefree, luxurious, sinful life, God will strictly judge them 9. By presenting us with the discomfort, suffering, and difficulty of living a Christ-centered life: For remedies, consider that • all earthly suffering for the Christian will be for their spiritual gain • all suffering effects the weakest parts of us, allowing His Spirit to remain the strongest part of us. • all suffering is momentary whether compared to a lifetime or eternity • all suffering is used by God in love to refine, sanctify & prepare His people for His return • it is our honor to measure suffering not by pain or discomfort, but by the glory given to God • God doesn’t cause us to suffer, but does purpose our suffering for testing & growth, not to ruin us • the suffering given to those who aren’t found in Christ will be far worse than a Christian’s suffering on Earth 10. By tempting us to compare sins with those who are “worse” than us: For remedies, consider that • to be quick to judge others but not recognize our own sin is hypocrisy • it is better to compare our internal and external actions with scripture than to compare ourselves to others • though we think our sins aren’t as “bad” as others, without our repentance responding to God’s mercy, we will be judged harshly 11. By presenting lies about the Lord, sin, evil & repentance, that lead us away from Truth: For remedies, consider that • proudly holding on to incorrect thoughts & actions is as wrong to God as a wicked life • scripture calls us to rejoice in the Truth, welcome it & make it a part of us • those who spread lies about the Truth, will receive no rewards or comfort in judgment • we need to hate all doctrine that is contrary to scripture, leads to self-righteousness, & claims good works are as effective in salvation as Christ is • it is necessary to hold on to the Truth • it is necessary to pursue humility, accept correction & seek the Truth • incorrect “truth” steals joy, causes confusion, & produces great evil 12. By leading us to choose the company of the unrighteous: For remedies, consider that • God has commanded us to not remain in the company of the unrighteous • unrighteous company infects our hearts, minds, & souls; it’s dangerous • it is necessary for us to look on the unrighteous with the lens of scripture • keeping the unrighteous close to us will bring us a burden of guilt & grief

  40. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. When we commit acts that is not pleasing to God, we have to go before him and seek his forgiveness and we have to forgive others too. A christian believer is not exempted from sin, but when we have been born again, we are now made righteous through Christ righteousness and the sting of sin is not a burden anymore. God knows we still have weakness and in the flesh it is still prone to temptation ,the flesh and the devil. This will be with us until this body of flesh is no more and we enter to the heavenly presence. Psalm 24 King James Version (KJV) 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.s

  41. I have started doing some videos, on various topics regarding reading the Bible through a "grace" perspective, whereas we rely on righteousness given to us and earned by Jesus' work on the Cross rather than our self-righteousness earned individually through action, thought, and etc. This is one of my most recent videos about the requirements of Confession with regards to Grace. I argue that it is impossible to confess every sin and that confession is meant more as a confession of our general sinful nature vs trying to confess every individual sin. Thank you for the opportunity to share this here, and I would appreciate any feedback or sharing. .

  42. Hello Gospel.. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28. You can still look at a woman and not sin.. Jesus will forgive you if you come to Him and confess your sins and ask Him to come ti live inside of you.. but your family do have to invite them too for Salvation as you cannot save them through your Salvation.. If we love Jesus we don't want to sin but do still sin as long as we live in our old body, but if we confess our sins ,Jesus will forgive them.. We have to be aware of our thoughts and think before we say something: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, Amen ,we are saved by grace and not by works: Alive with Christ …7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is bygraceyou have been saved through faith, and this not fromyourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast.…Ephesians 2:8 He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"Luke 10:27 We all fall short of loving our neighbor as ourself..and sin everyday and say things we don't want to say.. Romans 7:15-20 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found T'was blind but now I see T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear And Grace, my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed Through many dangers, toils and snares We have already come. T'was grace that brought us safe thus far And grace will lead us home, And grace will lead us home Amazing grace, Howe Sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found T'was blind but now I see Was blind, but now I see.

  43. Not surprised O'Reilly is gone. While he denied all the accusations, he (or Fox) has supposedly paid out millions of dollars to the accusers over the years to buy them off. While I know the argument that 'it's easier to buy them off than to fight them in court', I still think that a truly innocent man would want the chance to defend himself against such claims. This will be a feather in the cap of those who hate Fox News, though. Supposedly there is a rift between the old guard (Rupert Murdoch) and his sons as to the future of the network. Rupert is NOT right wing (though he had the business acumen when he founded Fox News to market it as a right-wing alternative). The sons want to take it in a different direction. I imagine we'll see a NY Times headline soon to the effect "Fox news has grown and matured now that a new generation has taken over." Blessings, -Ed

  44. I don't see a nuclear war but I do see nukes being used. N. Korea cannot fight a war with the U.S., they know it, but since only ONE man makes decisions in that country, then war may happen. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do whether it's pleasant or not. And I know Washington doesn't want a war so.....if one happens it will be because the 'crazy fat kid' starts it.

  45. All scripture is for us , but not all scripture is to us . No reason to take the Levitical Law personally unless you have transported yourself back in time to become part of a roving Jewish nation wandering the desert . Jesus is here now , and we can do all things through Him that strengthens us

  46. Shalom, Ezra. You really should take a course on Hebrew, bro. I'm going to make another stab at this: "Yeeshuwa`" ("Jeshua" in the KJV, OT:3442) is NOT THE SAME NAME as "Yehowshuwa`" ("Joshua," "Jehoshuah," or "Jehoshua" in the KJV, OT:3091). Look at the two in Strong's "side by side" (vertically): OT:3442 Yeeshuwa` (yay-shoo'-ah); for OT:3091; he will save; Jeshua, the name of ten Israelites, also of a place in Palestine: KJV - Jeshua. OT:3091 Yehowshuwa` (yeh-ho-shoo'-ah); or Yehowshu`a (yeh-ho-shoo'-ah); from OT:3068 and OT:3467; Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (i.e. Joshua), the Jewish leader: -Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua. Compare OT:1954, OT:3442. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.) (Ignore Strong's linking notes here.) OT:3442 Yeeshuwa` is NOT an "abbreviation" of OT:3091 Yehowshuwa`! You really must understand that Hebrew has a masculine and feminine gender to EVERYTHING, even the verbs used for the third person! OT:3442 Yeeshuwa` MEANS "HE WILL SAVE!" It does NOT mean "Jehovah-saved!" It's the third-person, singular, masculine form of the verb! Strong's is not often very clear about the grammar, while it is exceptional on the vocabulary and definitions for words. I believe that the Bible is every bit inspired by God; so, I believe that Matthew 1:21 has its purpose! Matthew 1:21 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS (Greek: "Ieesous" [NT:2424], the transliteration of the Aramaic "Yeeshuwa`" [OT:3443] which is a transliteration of the Hebrew "Yeeshuwa`" [OT:3442]): for he shall save his people from their sins. KJV What you say may be true, but that wasn't Matthew's (Matittyahu's) point! It would be YESHUA` HIMSELF who shall save His people from their sins! "HE shall save His people from their sins!" This is not just my subjective opinion; this is OBJECTIVE TEACHING ABOUT THE HEBREW LANGUAGE! It's not whether my opinion is better or worse than your opinion; it's acknowledging that there are some absolutes that are worth fighting for!
