  1. Just a note, Elohim is used for heavenly beings that can and do exist in the spiritual world. Even born again Christians can technically be called Elohim for we are born spiritually as sons and daughters of God into His family. I agree that Immanuel, concerning Jesus, is a verb and not a noun. It isn't his name, but a description of his position.

  3. Perhaps he is saying that Jesus right now dwells in the realm or dimension of the spirit - the realm where God and the angels dwell. If He was standing in front of us, we could not see Him because He would be in another dimension - that is, unless He opened our eyes to see the realm of the spirit. That would be the gift of discerning of spirits.

  4. Philippians 3 7 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

  5. Benny Hinn???????????????????? You have got to be kidding. Benny Hinn is a false prophet. Benny Hinn is a heretic. I have no idea which 'spirit' testified to your 'spirit' about Benny Hinn NOT being fake, but I can guarantee you that it was NOT the Holy Spirit of God. No way! No how!

  15. He cured me also from smoking heavily for 25 years or so. I started when I was about 14. Oddly enough He never really told me to quit, but he did give me a vision one might of where it was leading to if I didn't quit. That was enough for me. I went inside and threw them all in the trash, then took the trash out. I did suffer (as I should have) with the withdrawal symptoms, but I figured that was the price I needed to pay to make it important. I like to say that it wasn't a problem at all for me when I quit, but it was a real problem for my wife when "I" quit. Bless her heart she put up with a lot for a couple of weeks. I didn't really want to quit, but I didn't want to go where we were headed according to that vision. That was one of those serious forks in the road in my life The chemical addiction lasted about that long but the physical addiction lasted much longer. Still to this day 35 or so years later, when I pick up the phone I catch myself reaching into my shirt pocket for a smoke. That is just a learned habit action hard wired into our brains. It's kind of humorous now but it used to interrupt my thought process.

  17. Friday 7-8-22 6th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Tammuz 8, 5782 18th. Summer Day Food That Says I Love You Read: Luke 22:14–20 | Bible in a Year: Job 36–37; Acts 15:22–41 Download MP3 Subscribe to iTunes He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them. Luke 22:19 I attended a family birthday gathering where the hostess wove the theme of “favorite things” into the decor, the gifts, and—best of all—the food. Because the birthday girl loved steak and salad—and white chocolate raspberry Bundt cake—the hostess grilled steak, spun spinach, and ordered that favorite cake. Favorite foods say, “I love you.” The Bible contains many references to banquets, feasts, and festivals, pairing the physical act of eating with celebrations of God’s faithfulness. Feasting was a part of the sacrificial system of worship practiced by the Israelites (see Numbers 28:11–31), with Passover, the festival of weeks, and new moon feasts held every month. And in Psalm 23:5, God prepares a table with an abundant meal and cups overflow with mercy and love. Perhaps the most lavish pairing of food and wine ever expressed was when Jesus broke a piece of bread and took a cup of wine, illustrating the gift of His death on a cross for our salvation. He then challenged us to “do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19). As you partake of food today, take a moment to consider the God who made both mouth and stomach and offers food to you as a language of His love in celebration of His faithfulness. Ours is a God who feasts with the faithful, pairing His perfect provision with our great need, saying, “I love you.” What is a favorite food that you use in celebration? How can you thank God as you enjoy food today? Thank You, God, for all You faithfully provide, including my daily bread and my very salvation. INSIGHT In Luke 22, which records the Last Supper, Jesus introduced the Passover meal by declaring how much He anticipated sharing it with His disciples (v. 15). The phrase “I have eagerly desired” is variously translated as “with desire I have desired” or “I have earnestly desired.” The Greek words express a deep and passionate desire that’s expressed in a singular focus and drives a person to action. The base word epithymeō can be, and often is, translated in a negative sense as “lust” or “covet.” The point is the strength of the desire. Christ’s passion for this meal was predicated on the fact that once He’d eaten it, He wouldn’t eat it again until God’s kingdom comes in its fullness (v. 16). By Elisa Morgan|July 8th, 2022 The Lord Supper Luke Twenty Two:14-20 14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. 18. To me ,communion is so special that I take it daily at the place of encounter during my morning prayer time. By taking the emblem I renew my love afresh to Jesus. I am saying to him ,keep me fully devoted fully given to you. And prepare me to be part of your spotless bride. It's a reminder to me that I am in covenant with him, it's a marriage covenant . One day, we will have the marriage supper of the lamb and the bride has to make herself ready.

  19. "There are some among us teaching there will be no tribulation, that the Christians will be able to escape all this. These are the false teachers that Jesus was warning us to expect in the latter days. Most of them have little knowledge of what is already going on across the world. I have been in countries where the saints are already suffering terrible persecution." "In China, the Christians were told, “Don’t worry, before the tribulation comes you will be translated – raptured.” Then came a terrible persecution. Millions of Christians were tortured to death. Later I heard a Bishop from China say, sadly, "We have failed. We should have made the people strong for persecution, rather than telling them Jesus would come first. Tell the people how to be strong in times of persecution, how to stand when the tribulation comes, – to stand and not faint.” I feel I have a divine mandate to go and tell the people of this world that it is possible to be strong in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are in training for the tribulation, but more than sixty percent of the Body of Christ across the world has already entered into the tribulation. There is no way to escape it. We are next. Since I have already gone through prison for Jesus’ sake, and since I met the Bishop in China, now every time I read a good Bible text I think, “Hey, I can use that in the time of tribulation.” CORRIE TEN BOON

  20. I was much younger way back then. 51+ yrs smoking. When I started everybody smoked, or almost. Never considered quitting till everybody else put them down. It then became a battle, but I realized just how weak I really was. Never could quit, and I tried everything except hypnotism. This caused me shame. I honestly believe God allowed me to struggle for a purpose. I was very humbled. I couldn't do it. And I never quit. But I haven't had one smoke for over nine years. I was delivered. The fervent prayer of a righteous man, hands on my shoulders, plead my case to God. I was delivered. And I praise God. His promises are true, and I trust them.

  24. So are you saying that Satan WOULD overcome the church, if it remained on the earth. Wow. I myself believe that if the CHURCH would teach Gods Truth, then those fiery darts of Satan couldn't touch them them no matter WHERE they were. That is GODS PROTECTION. Knowing what is written is what KEEPS and delivers us from all evil. To be DECEIVED requires a LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, that's all. Faith in the power of God here, there and everywhere. Saying the GENTILE CHURCH would indeed fail, if not taken out of the battle is really quite a statement. Not much different than those who rejected the Messiah by NOT UNDERSTANDING what was written...though they thought themselves to be scholars

  26. Saturday 7-9-22 6th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, Tammuz 9, 5782 19th. Summer Day The Dream Team Read: Romans 12:3–8 | Bible in a Year: Job 38–40; Acts 16:1–21 Download MP3 Subscribe to iTunes So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5 Together, friends Melanie and Trevor have hiked miles of mountain trails. Yet neither would be able to do so without the other. Melanie, born with spina bifida, uses a wheelchair. Trevor lost his sight to glaucoma. The duo realized they were one another’s perfect complement for enjoying the Colorado wilderness: As he walks the trails, Trevor carries Melanie on his back; meanwhile, she gives him verbal directions. They describe themselves as a “dream team.” Paul describes believers in Jesus—the body of Christ—as a similar kind of “dream team.” He urged the Romans to recognize how their individual giftings benefited the larger group. Just as our physical bodies are made up of many parts, each with different functions, together we “form one [spiritual] body” and our gifts are meant to be given in service for the collective benefit of the church (Romans 12:5). Whether in the form of giving, encouraging, or teaching, or any of the other spiritual gifts, Paul instructs us to view ourselves and our gifts as belonging to all the others (vv. 5–8). Melanie and Trevor aren’t focused on what they lack, nor are they prideful of what they do have in comparison to the other. Rather, they cheerfully give of their “gifts” in service to the other, recognizing how much they’re both bettered by their collaboration. May we too freely combine the gifts God has given us with those of our fellow members—for the sake of Christ. What gifts and abilities has God given you? How can you share them with those around you? Father, please show me how I can use my resources and abilities to benefit the body of Christ. INSIGHT Romans 12:3–8 is well known as one of the New Testament passages that describe spiritual gifts to equip us for spiritual service. These giftings, however, are only half the story. The other half is found in the attitudes with which some of those gifts are to be exercised. What are those “gift attitudes”? Prophesying (preaching) is to be done in “faith.” Giving is to be done “generously,” while leadership is to be exercised “diligently.” Finally, showing mercy is to be done “cheerfully” (vv. 6–8). These attitude descriptors remind us that the mere activity of service isn’t enough—our service must come from a heart that reflects the heart of Jesus. As Philippians 2:5 says, “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus,” who perfectly modeled for us the heart of a servant. By Kirsten Holmberg|July 9th, 2022 Spirit Gifts Romans Twelve:3-5 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 27. No, you're thinking of a leafed codex as we call "books" today. This is a SCROLL that was multi-sealed, each seal is broken when one gets to that part of the scroll! All seven seals do not have to be removed to get to the whole scroll; instead, each section of the scroll becomes accessible when one breaks the seal sealing that portion of the scroll. It would be more like the Russian Matryoshka dolls that stack inside each other! You open the "seal" of the outer doll to get to the inner dolls, and so on. Think of multiple treasure chests, each one slightly smaller so it fits in the next one. Each of these chests has SOME information in it as well as the next chest. In all of these cases, it would make better sense to see them as NESTED units: To get to the deeper unit, one must open an outer unit first. It's like nested quotes to see who is doing the talking at each stage. Hope this helps.

  28. Shalom, Revelation Man. Well, that's partially true, but you're wrong to say that "No Gentiles ... helped birth the Messiah" Remember Ruth? Remember Rahab? Remember the Gibeonites? These were all Gentiles and they all had a hand in birthing the Messiah. Yes, but remember Paul taught "to the Jew first and also to the Gentile." We've kinda left the "to the Jew first" part out in these current times. I really agree with you on this part with the exception of one thing: "the Church is Raptured." WHY?! It's not the Jews that I think you have wrong; it's the rapture of the churches! of the Gentile believers! Why would you deny them the time to help with God's Kingdom under the leadership of King Yeshua`? THAT'S the part that is SO MESSED UP! No, "church" does NOT mean the "house of the Lord!" It means a "called-out gathering of the Lord." It's IMPORTANT to get things right! To do otherwise is to invite more error into the theology! You've got to keep going in the etymology of a word! To this much, a dictionary I use adds " related to Dutch kerk and German Kirche, based on medieval Greek kurikon, from Greek kuriakon (dōma) ‘Lord's (house)’, from kurios ‘master or lord’." In truth, however, seldom does one see "kuriokon dooma" as the "house of-the-Lord." Instead, it is the "kuriokon ekkleesia" or the "called-out-gathering of the Lord." Well, the Quakers were right! It's an error to think of the building as the "church"; it's the PEOPLE who are the "church," the "ekkleesia." Here's one reason why the minutia are so valuable: If one thinks of the BUILDING as the "church," then it's NO WONDER why they so embellish the church buildings, putting so much money and gold and jewels into the building of them! It's not that big of a deal if so few members actually attend this huge monstrosities, because it's the BUILDING that's important! See how that could be a problem? NO! It's important to understand that it's all about the GROUPS OF PEOPLE who attend these gatherings that constitute the church! And, Paul NEVER used the word "Church" as though it was some separate entity! He used the word "churches" when speaking of multiple congregations! Why do you think it was so important to him to start a new church in each community he came to? You may think I'm just nit-picking, but it is IMPERATIVE to get this right, or more error will be introduced! First, God has NEVER "turned His back on Israel as a Nation!" Let's get that straight! He has dealt with them as a wayward child, but He has NEVER abandoned them! Second, He blinded them as individuals, as well! Why do you think they have such a hard time even LISTENING to a "missionary?" Third, I never said that I think you "do not love the Jews like you love all peoples!" On the other hand, I can feel confident to say that you don't love them MORE than you love all other peoples! Yet, how are we commanded in the Scriptures? "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!" “Sing with gladness for Jacob, And shout among the chief of the nations; Proclaim, give praise, and say, ‘O Lord, save (rescue) Your people, The remnant of Israel!’" Look at the WHOLE resurrection chapter in the OT! Ezekiel 37:1-28 (KJV) 1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. 3 And he said unto me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord GOD, thou knowest." 4 Again he said unto me, "Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, "'O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; "'"Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD."'" 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. 9 Then said he unto me, "Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, "'Thus saith the Lord GOD; "'"Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live."'" 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. 11 Then he said unto me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, "'Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.' 12 "Therefore prophesy and say unto them, "'Thus saith the Lord GOD; "'"Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it," saith the LORD.'" 15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16 "Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, 'For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions': then take another stick, and write upon it, 'For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions': 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, 'Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?' 19 Say unto them, "'Thus saith the Lord GOD; "'"Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand."' 20 "And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, "'Thus saith the Lord GOD; "'"Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 "'"And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore."'" So, it's not just the "Remnant" that physically survives to the Coming of the Messiah, it's the WHOLE HOUSE of Israel, including those who are RESURRECTED! Yeshua` will want them ALL there at His Coronation! His Kingdom will involve them ALL! And, the scribes and the Pharisees and Levites and priests who denied Him as their King, will stand before Him to give answer for their treatment of Him! He will say, "SLAY them before me!" Well, I see thing DIFFERENTLY than you do. But, let's let GOD tell us who's right or wrong. I speak facts, too, brother. And, you won't even give them the time of day! Nope! They are resurrected when the Gentile believers are resurrected, and they've not been resurrected literally, yet! Ezekiel 37 is not a figurative vision of the NATION of Israel; it's a LITERAL RESURRECTION of each and every member of the children of Israel down through time! In fact, I believe it will be a LITERAL RESURRECTION of ALL peoples down through time who have trusted God! Well, you're still treating the "Gentile Church" as DIFFERENT THAN the children of Israel! In the Messiah, THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE!!! You're still thinking that Gentile believers ("Christian followers") go to Heaven during the Millennium. IMO, that's just NUTS! Gentile believers need to be here to help in the management of the Kingdom! They will be some of the "kings" in the title "the King of kings!" It will be just as Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, who directed Moses to delegate judgment! (Exodus 18). Within His KIngdom these things will be eliminated, but outside of His Kingdom, while His Kingdom is growing until it envelops the earth, there will still be murder, hatred, lust, lies, stealing, etc. Those don't come from haSatan; they come from the hearts of PEOPLE! That's one of the things the Millennium will show! Until He subdues all of His enemies, there will still be such sin in the world. That's why there's a Millennium! It's the CLEAN-UP phase before YHWH God takes full control of His Kingdom. The earth and its people must be CLEAN, PURE, HOLY before YHWH God will tolerate it! Well, you're not paying attention to verses 4-6. He will need us ALL in the Millennial Kingdom, not just the "Martyrs" (which means "Witnesses," btw). Why should ANYONE who is supposed to be "in His Kingdom" be taken to some "Heaven" to stay for the Millennium? No, there is MUCH to do HERE for a THOUSAND YEARS! This year is 2022 A.D. Do you know what was going on in 1022 A.D? Do you realize what kind of tools and weapons they had to work with in 1022 A.D? A THOUSAND YEARS is a VERY long time! And, the number of nations of the earth is a VERY large number! WorldAtlas.com says, "If you were to ask ten people how many countries are in the world, you would probably hear ten different answers. Here at Worldatlas.com, we state 195 countries based on the 193 that belong to the United Nations (UN) plus the Holy See (Vatican) and the State of Palestine, which are non-member observer states. However, the State of Palestine, is only recognized by 138 of the 193 United Nations member states and countries like the United States, and Canada do not recognize it. "The United States officially recognizes 195 countries as well; but instead of recognizing the State of Palestine, it recognizes Kosovo. Only 97 out of the 193 United Nations member states recognize Kosovo. In particular, Spain is one of the biggest opponents due to its opposition to the Basque and Catalan independence movements within its own country." (See WorldAtlas.com.) This doesn't even include tribes who consider themselves to be independent peoples, such as those in the jungles of Africa and Brazil! Even the aboriginal inhabitants of Australia might be considered a separate people! In each and every one of these nations and peoples, Yeshua` haMelekh haMashiyach Elohiym ("Jesus the King, the Messiah of God") will need representatives to speak for Him in those countries and peoples. To those He can say, "You've been faithful in a few things, be ruler over ten towns (or five towns)." (Luke 19). No, it's not. It's telling us that 1/3 of the Jews SURVIVE an event that KILLS 2/3 of them! Why are you looking in the prophecies for someone to "get saved?" "Saved," particularly in the OT prophecies, is about RESCUE! And, it's not about being "rescued from sin" as much as it is about the PEOPLE of God being "rescued" from genocide! I agree! All of Zechariah 12-14 are future prophecies of the end times. HOWEVER, Zechariah 13:7-9 is a FLASHBACK as to the REASON why we've come to this in the future! It EXPLAINS the "abominations" of the scribes and Pharisees for which Yeshua` left them "desolate!" And, they will CONTINUE to be destitute until they can welcome the Messiah back! Zechariah 13:7-9 (KJV) 7 "Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8 "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land (Hebrew: b'kaal haa'aarets = 'in-all the-Land [of Israel]')," saith the LORD, "two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 "And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, 'It is my people!' : and they shall say, 'The LORD (YHWH) is my God!'" Matthew 26:31 and Mark 14:27 both quote this passage about the disciples (the sheep) being scattered when the Messiah Yeshua` is arrested, tried, and condemned to the execution stake! Matthew 26:31-32 (KJV) 31 Then saith Jesus unto them, "All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, "'I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.' 32 "But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee." Mark 14:27-28 (KJV) 27 And Jesus saith unto them, "All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, "'I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.' 28"But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee." The prophecies tell us that He starts the slaughter FIRST in Botsrah ("Bozrah") of Edowm. Why? Because God said He has a "controversy" with Edowm over the children of Israel! Isaiah 34:1-10 (KJV) 1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. 2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. 3 "Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. 4 "And all the host of heaven (Hebrew: tsVaa' hashaamayim = 'army of the skies,' airforces) shall be dissolved, and the heavens (Hebrew: hashaamayim = "the skies") shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down (Hebrew: vkaal tsVaa'aam yibowl = 'and-all their-armies shall-fall-down-senselessly'), as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. 5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven (Hebrew: bashaamayim = "in-the-skies"): behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment." 6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. 7 And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. 8 For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. 9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch (Hebrew: zefet = "asphalt, tar"), and the dust thereof into brimstone (Hebrew: gaafriyt = "sulfur"), and the land thereof shall become burning pitch (tar). 10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. That's where He first dips His clothing in the blood of His enemies! By the time Revelation 19 rolls around, He's already in clothes dipped (baptized) in blood, appearing with His holy ones on white horses, for the final battle before the Millennium commences! I wasn't saying that it was about Yeshua`s time; I was saying that the FLASHBACK of verses 7 and 8 is about Yeshua` time and BEYOND! I agree, but they DIED in the great slaughter of 70 A.D! Then the 1/3 that survived has suffered since then all because of their treatment of the Messiah! That's how they got in this pickle of the future! They are being REFINED! I agree with more of this than you're thinking I do! Verse 9 is indeed in the future, as well as the rest of the three chapters! For the most part, I agree! I'm only telling you that the 1/3 was IN THE PAST! 2/3 of the Jews died THEN, IN THE PAST! This is the ONLY point of contention between us about this passage. When He told us "I will bring the third part through the fire," that was and IS a very long process! It started in the First Century, but it's STILL going on today! The Jews aren't READY, YET! No. See, HERE is that point of contention: The 2/3 that died are IN THE PAST and must be RESURRECTED! They ALREADY "perished!" The 1/3 is ALL THERE IS OF THE JEWS TODAY! There will be FAR more Jews who accept their Messiah than you are thinking there will be! Not only will He return as expected (even if they think He is coming the first time), but He will also show great miracles that the Jews will see and by which they will believe, and if that's not all, they will have all the loved ones who have died and come back in the resurrection! And, THEY will attest to Him being their blood relative and the rightful heir to David's throne! Well, the "minutia" are IMPORTANT! It's been my calling since 1977, ever since the complete revamping of my theology, particularly eschatology and prophecy. Not important. It's okay. LOL! I don't know ANY "old men" who believe as I do! The "old men" believe in the things that are archaic, like the RAPTURE! It's not wordsmithing to say that the Greek words "ho ouranos" means "the sky." That's just what they mean! To EXPAND this simple definition to include some "God's abode" called "Heaven" is the "wordsmithing," and no one in this generation started it! It was started LONG AGO, most likely in the Dark Ages, where one sees pictures of Hell beneath, the Earth's surface, and Heaven above! That's a VERY simplistic view that should have been corrected a long time ago! As soon as we discovered that the earth is a round spheroid, those pictures should have been discarded! Now, we think of "down" as toward the center of the earth. "Up" is anywhere perpendicular to the curved surface of the earth outward! Really? Even when the "Last Trump" is NOT the "last Trump?!" LOL! IF you get to Heaven, you mean! How have people described "Heaven?" Don't they ALWAYS use the description of the New Jerusalem? "Pearly gates," "streets of gold," "jasper walls," etc.? Well, I TOTALLY believe in the New Jerusalem, just not some ethereal place called "Heaven!" The key word is "BODY!" It is the PHYSICAL, MATERIAL, "FLESH AND BONES" body like our Lord Yeshua` has! It does NOT mean some ridiculous body that's not physical! Don't look up the word "spiritual," that's just "pneumatikos," which Rapture-believing people, like the Independent Baptists from which I come, have used. It comes from "pneuma," meaning "wind." Instead, look up the word "NATURAL!" THAT'S a key word in Greek, because that is the word being compared to "pneumatikos." The word "sooma" (where "oo" represents an omega) is the same for BOTH "natural body" and "spiritual body!" The word "NATURAL" comes from the Greek word "psuchikos," which stems from the word "psuchee," usually translated as "soul!" So, they translated "pneumatikos" as "spirit-ual," but they didn't translate "psuchikos" as "soul-ual," they translated it as "natural," instead! Why is that? I believe it's because they didn't understand what Paul was talking about! At the time, the Greek translators didn't know what the Hebrew word "nefesh" meant (or they did and just thought it wasn't important)! Paul made a very good translation between the Greek of 1 Corinthians 15:45 and the Hebrew of Genesis 2:7. Here's Genesis 2:7 in Hebrew: וַיִּיצֶר֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֗ם עָפָר֙ מִן־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה וַיִּפַּ֥ח בְּאַפָּ֖יו נִשְׁמַ֣ת חַיִּ֑ים וַֽיְהִ֥י הָֽאָדָ֖ם לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּֽה׃ Here's 1 Corinthians 15:45 in Greek: οὕτω καὶ γέγραπται, Ἐγένετο ὁ πρῶτος ἄνθρωπος Ἀδὰμ εἰς ψυχὴν ζωσαν. ὁ ἔσχατος Ἀδὰμ εἰς πνεῦμα ζωοποιοῦν. "And-made" (וַֽיְהִ֥י) was translated to "was-made" (Ἐγένετο). "the-man" (הָֽאָדָ֖ם) was translated to "the man" (ὁ ἄνθρωπος), with "first" (πρῶτος) thrown in. Then, Paul repeats the Hebrew word as a name (אָדָ֖ם), Adam (Ἀδὰμ). The lamed prefix meaning "to" or "into" (לְ) was translated to "into" (εἰς). The word translated "soul" (נֶ֥פֶשׁ) was translated into the word "soul" (ψυχὴν). And, the word translated as "living" (חַיָּֽה) was translated as "living" (ζωσαν). THEREFORE, the word "psucheen" (ψυχὴν) means the same thing as "nefesh" (נֶ֥פֶשׁ), as far as Paul was concerned. Let me give you the definition of nefesh in Strong's Concordance in the Hebrew dictionary: 5315 nephesh (nefesh) (neh'-fesh). From naphash (naafash); properly, a breathing creature, i.e. Animal of (abstractly) vitality; used very widely in a literal, accommodated or figurative sense (bodily or mental): -- any, appetite, beast, body, breath, creature, X dead(-ly), desire, X (dis-)contented, X fish, ghost, + greedy, he, heart(-y), (hath, X jeopardy of) life (X in jeopardy), lust, man, me, mind, mortally, one, own, person, pleasure, (her-, him-, my-, thy-)self, them (your)-selves, + slay, soul, + tablet, they, thing, (X she) will, X would have it. (For a moment, look at all the ways that this ONE Hebrew word was translated in the KJV, all the words that follow the dash [--]!) Now, this word comes "From naphash (naafash)"; so, we look up that word: 5314 naphash (naafash) (naw-fash'). A primitive root; to breathe; passively, to be breathed upon, i.e. (figuratively) refreshed (as if by a current of air): -- (be) refresh selves (-ed). So, "to breathe" --> "a breathing creature." I like to throw in the word "air-" since what else do we breathe? "An air-breathing creature!" Now, what breathes air? Isn't it the lungs of our body? So, the words "psucheen" and "nefesh" both mean "an air-breathing creature!" And, since these words were both translated as the English word "soul," that's what "soul" means, too! "An air-breathing creature!" I just don't think their as "obvious" as you're making these "understandings" out to be! You haven't "shown me in error" at all, brother. And, no, I can't accept what I know to be false. I'm only "in error on 99 percent of all End Time Eschatology" IN YOUR OPINION. I've accepted the FACT that Jews and Gentiles are ONE in the Messiah! Since the Messiah comes to reign on this earth, then WE TOO should be with Him to reign upon this earth, (and that's what Revelation 20:6 says)! However, one must FIRST understand that we are GRAFTED IN to the Messiah's "Olive Tree," His Kingdom!

  29. 2004 I had gotten very sick with bronchitis. So bad it hurt to breath. I had been a long time smoker at that point. Avg 2 packs a day. But I hadn't smoked for the 4 days I was seriously ill. Hard to breathe much less smoke. My daughter convinced me to go to the Dr. While there he asked me if I smoked. I said yes and prepared myself for the grilling. I turned my head away from him so I could roll my eyes in privacy. I was looking at my daughter when he began, "Every cigarette you smoke takes 7 minutes from your life...". Looking at my daughter I noticed her sad puppy dog eyes. The thought occurred to me, "What if my daughter needed the last 7 minutes of my life but I couldn't give them to her because I'd rather have a cigarette"? I haven't smoked a single cigarette since. It was no easy journey at first. But I knew that one day I was going to say, "No thank you, I don't smoke". I focused on prayer thanking Him for His support in this effort. During the first month I must have been somewhat edgy. My daughter said she was going to make me a T-shirt saying, "Forgive me, I'm trying to quit smoking".

  30. You must have misread my post. I stated I could not quit (unable). I was delivered. A big difference. I do not smoke, because God delivered me. I also could not quit smoking like you. A believer prayed over me, God heard his prayer, and I was delivered. I had nothing to do with it. Only received the victory. The believer was my son. The deliverer was God. Praise God.

  31. I am glad you were able to quit. Reseachers have found it is much easier for men to quit smoking than women and they really don't know why. I have prayed for years to God about my smoking. No answers.

  32. Interestingly enough, while Tolkien never intended the LOTRs to be anything more then entertainment and categorically denied them being allegorical, going through them one can find far better allegories then in the Chronicles of Narnia. One could argue it was his faith showing through in everything he did.

  35. It's really neat when things come together and you can see a little hope growing. And then the time on the knees in thanks... (It's definitely a faith run business..... ) My years in construction was always changed by the economy, when the economy is booming, people buy new home/commercial construction. When the economy is hurting, everybody 'remodels' what they have. I tried the the office work doing bids/estimates and lite drawings for potential customers for two years. Nine out of ten were only fishing and not serious about spending thousands of dollars. Much wasted/lost time. I started smoking 2-3 packs of smokes, and a pot of coffee. Couldn't handle it, and put my tool pouch back on, and worked on site, rain or shine, and loved it. God supplied work for me also now so that I can work at home these past 10+ yrs. But in my shop, fabricating commercial machine enclosures used in laboratories. One customer, professional, who sends a PO, I ship product, and send an invoice. Am blessed beyond measure, and tell God daily. Good to hear you found your niche and a brother to work with. God already had a plan for you...

  36. The truth is, I am at best an unfaithful servant. But His work, despite my selfish self-serving nature which He has smacked around sufficiently to where I hold onto pretty much everything with a loose grip. The thing is when I examine all of this--it was truly despite any effort or lack thereof of my own. He has just done the work. Its like standing back and seeing something from afar. Not being able to take any credit is a very liberating thing. I only wish to love Him as I should and I am far from it.

  37. The LOrd answered prayers in two direction multi-tasking. I needed work that I could do from home as my shoulders are shot (so remodeling is difficult), so I got the latest version of my architectural design software and set my hands toward getting work doing drafting and such. A brother on the other side of the country has been looking for a suitably knowledgeable (experienced) user of the same software for two years. I found his seeking post on the software forum and reached out. Found out he is a brother and we have very similar backgrounds in the Lord with much in common. Both of our work needs are met and we ahve wonderful fellowship to boot. Really one of those Gracious things the Lord does.

  38. Not really, the Mayians were saying that their old god was coming back to start a renewal. Bolon Yokte was his name and is tied in with creation. It wasn't the end of the world, but a start of a new cycle. A lot of conspiracy people put their own ideas and fears in with it and that's where that all came from. Interestingly, we were on a cruise to Mexico just after that time and one of our shore excursion people was a Mayan priest. he was making jokes about the end of the world but when I asked him if Bolon Yokte had actually returned he got a really shocked look on his face and would not even look at me for the rest of the trip. It was very awkward. I wasn't and still am not sure if he was bothered because he had not returned, or that I knew he was supposed to and did.

  39. As fate would have it . . . my reading plan just covered the books of Jerimiah and Ezekiel. In them, you will see how God hates the practice of making sons and daughters 'pass through the fire'. It is child sacrifice in worship of Moloch a pagan god. According to secular history, they would heat the statute up until the hands glowed red hot, and put their babies into the statute's hands burning the babies alive. The pagan priests would play musical instruments and beat drums loudly so the mothers could not hear the screams of their babies while they burned to death. God abhorred this pagan practice and wanted it to stop. If you have issues with 'how' He did that, then talk to Him about it . . . So glad we don't do that today, right? Ummmm . . . well I won't derail this thread talking about methods of abortion and the implications thereof . . .

  40. My perspective holds a pretribulation viewpoint. If the events we are witnessing are the ‘birth pains’ leading up to the Tribulation and the Tribulation is fast approaching (and I believe it is). We should expect to see the circumstances and conditions for the horsemen’s arrival. Everything aligns according to biblical prophecy, and at no other time in history has there been a ‘convergence’ of everything prophetic. If no one has noticed by now, there are global shortages and transportation delays in everything from food to truck parts. I have yet to hear of one secular pundit or expert forecast any relief for the near future; things are anticipated to worsen. We Christians are not in darkness or to fear these things because this is not our inheritance or eternal home. We do not know how long we will be here or how much we will witness before the Lord’s return; it can be at any moment. Seeing the Day approaching, I believe it is biblical, wise, and prudent to prepare for our families and ourselves the best we can. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. If we notice, the order of the horsemen follows a predictable historical pattern. War always exacerbates any existing problems with resources, famine, and pestilence. The producers and transporters of commodities are taken and used to support the military’s war efforts. The general population is left to fend for themselves and is required to support the war effort. Famine and pestilence have always followed significant wars. Why are bodies buried or cremated shortly after death? What happens if thousands of bodies are left to decay on top of the ground? Start looking at the "best used by" dates on the grocery shelves today and we should start to notice something. What is presently on the shelves today was grown and raised last year. There has been a significant reduction in global food production and transportation. Come October, November, and December of this year, what are our grocery shelves going to look like? I think the poor nations will feel the impact first and the most, followed by the rest of the world. As I have previously mentioned, historically food has always been available, but at what price (hyperinflation, supply and demand). The oil and wine (elite, wealthy, celebrities, and politically connected) at first will not be affected. Hyperinflation will reach a point where it will take the common man a day’s wages just to feed himself. Are we seeing the beginning? Media talking heads are now using the vocabulary not since, never before, historical, unprecedented, etc.

  41. It is irrelevent whether it does or does not, as our behaviour should not change. We will still be living for jesus regardless of what the war is or is not doing. The unsaved will not believe it is the start of the end untill they see Jesus decending, when it will be to late.

I suppose it is a wiser tactic than outright accusing them of things without irrefutable proof, so they go with "these people are clueless" instead, however I think the opposite is actually true. But I'm not appearing to millions of people every night and liable for being sued, so I can voice what others can't for fear of legal repercussions. I think they know exactly what they are doing.

  47. I don't believe in this. Heliocentrism only started with Nicolaus Copernicus in 1.541. Until then, all civilizations believed that the Earth is flat. However, even if the first Christians believed in this, we ought to follow Paul's advice: Rom 3:4 -> "By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”".
