This is my valentine (message of love) to my Worthy family. Thank you for the fellowship, the support and the prayers that you have given me since I joined back in 2007. It means so much. You guys have been with me through a lot of tough times. You have helped me through the neurological nightmare that began for me only a year before I joined. Then, the battle with cancer and the death of my father in 2010. And the severe brain damage of my mother (a valiant one year fight that ended with her going Home to Jesus last February.) You have allowed me to express myself through my poetry, along with posts and multiple threads I have so enjoyed doing (such as "Beware Little Bear" my animal thread over in the Humor forum.) You have participated in it and together, we have shared the gift of laughter. You even brought photos of your pets...which was very special to me. I am grateful to the Lord for the friendships I have formed at Worthy. As someone who is disabled and not attending church services, I have been blessed to fellowship here. This is a time for me to reflect back on my 13 years as a part of this site. To anyone still reading this long post, thanks for hanging in there. lol God bless you, brothers and sisters. , turtle

Life as we know it could so easily and drastically change overnight if the Lord so wills......everything in this world that can be shaken will be shaken soon......we need to have our trust in the Lord and not in this world.

What is a valentine? A valentine is defined as a message or a gift of love sent by one person to another. It surely fits God who sent us His beloved, sinless Son to die on behalf of our sins. What a precious message and what an incomparable gift of love!!! Oh, to receive this by faith and to give Him our hearts in return... 1 John 4:19 says: “We love Him, because He first loved us.”

Just a hint for someone studying the passage ... look at the Word -- Paradise ... then read it again in Revelation ... it's only used 3 times I believe in the New Testament. As you study and realize that God is restoring all that is lost in Genesis ... do a study on the restoration of a "paradise" and its connection to Eden. I don't have time to connect the dots for you ... but it'll lead you on a Scripture nugget hunt! As Proverbs says ... it's the glory of Kings to search out a matter! God bless, George

What if the current crop of globablists have been trumped by God? and what happens next will be even worse because the Lord wants to stir and wake up His sleepy nest and bring division not peace. Just something to think about.

Valentine's Day is when we can express our love and appreciation to one another. But to those who are lonely out there and feeling no one cares about you on this day- I have great news. Jesus Christ loved you so much that He sacrificed His own life for you upon a cross. He died for your sins so that you could go to Heaven one day and have a personal relationship with Him right now. Here is a poem I found that says it well.

There is a book out now that is called " A Children's book of Demons". Our world is getting very dark. It is for sale even on Amazon. I wonder if maybe some books like The Lion the With and the Wardrobe" and Lord of the Rings are things we should stay away from. Many think they are ok .. then came Harry potter many christians think that suitable reading too or allowed. I know they are just books but everything has an influence for good or evil. “There shall not be found among you anyone who make his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord ….” (Deuteronomy 18:10) This is God's view. What do you think?

I was talking about harry potter movies . And movies like that . ITS witchcraft . And if we let our children , if we support this stuff and say its no big deal , WE WILL be HELD accountable . It seems, to me anyways, that "these things" refer to the signs in the sun, moon, stars, etc. If our redemption draws nigh when those things begin to happen..... "the signs in the sun, moon, stars..... the roaring of the seas....the heavens being shaken......etc", we are told to LOOK UP and LIFT UP our heads............then, we are right there, in the situation, at the time, otherwise we could not "LOOK UP" Are those the same signs from Matt 24:29....."9 “ the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from [r]the sky, and the powers of [s]the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 It seems that they are the same signs. The first of the resurrections in Revelation 20 is the resurrection of believers that DIDN'T WORSHIP AND TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST BUT DIED DURING THE TRIBULATION PERIOD. It's not the resurrection of all believers through history. Rev. 20:4 - 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. PLEASE NOTE THE EMPHASIS. And they are the not only resurrections (the one talked about in verse 4 and the one after the 1000 years). There have been other resurrections - Jesus' (gospel accounts), resurrected saints (Matt. 27:52-53), the 2 witnesses (Rev. 11:11-12). God bless us all

That is just it dear sister . And it is how satan works . And the church accepts this strategy . Ponder that . Look at how many willfully defend harry potter movies and so forth . OH its harmless they say . OH but its not . No one seems to notice the great increase of these kids whose interest FLOODED INTO OCULT pratices , AFTER watching these films . Satan knew what he was doing . make it seem GOOD . make it seem GOOD . If children can come to the conclusion that witchcraft and scorcery is GOOD so long as it is USED FOR GOOD . THAT WAS HIS PLAN . and it WORKED and so many adult christains just saw no harm in it . THEY SHOULD HAVE . we now live in day and age , with a generation that was raised up on these films and do so much of the occult and yet since its been CHRISTIANIZED and they think they DO IT FOR GOOD , it just keeps getting worse , till now we even have books on demons and children . This was a pandora box of evil that got opened and most today , even in churches , never see it or saw it for what it was , the WORK OF SATAN to influence A GENERATION and make it most wicked .

In the Bible, we have examples of prayers of intercession by God’s servants to remove plagues; perhaps we should ponder such a response from Christians: “If a famine occurs in the land, or a pestilence, a scorching blight, mildew, swarming locusts, or voracious locusts; or if their enemy besieges them in any of the cities of the land or if any other sort of plague or disease occurs, 38 whatever prayer, whatever request for favor may be made by any man or by all your people Israel (for each one knows the plague of his own heart) when they spread out their hands toward this house, 39 then may you hear from the heavens, your dwelling place, and may you forgive and take action; and reward each one according to all his ways, for you know his heart (you alone truly know every human heart), 40 so that they may fear you all the days they live on the land that you gave to our forefathers. Is that really even a question? The last book in the Bible is the Revelation of JESUS CRHIST, moving through His Body. One move after another, thwarting the designs and intentions of a would-be usurper. People who read it as a revelation of the beast and the dragon do err The question is who will be around to witness His final move....the key is to find what is not shaking. Because everything that can be shaken will be, so that what cannot be shaken will be all that remains. What cannot be shaken, is the Kingdom, and it's rightful King. When the shaking begins, flee to that....and yes, between now and then will come a separation. And a harvest.

Well, I would imagine he's not far behind. The reason you don't hear as much about him is first off, he doesn't have a trail of bodies following him.... second off he seems to be more of a puppet, just doing what he's told. More of an extension of Hillary, so to speak.

I think that "birth pangs" analogy Jesus used is fundamental to understanding today. Increasing tempo, increasing severity....."waves" of events coming closer together, less time between waves, and getting sharper and more protracted with each wave.

The patterns are well worn for those who have been watching a while. It doesn't take a prophet to notice them....signs of the times.

The Lessons We Have Learned From The Coronavirus So Far... Globalists never let a good crisis go to waste. They are inevitably used to concentrate power, undermine liberty and do it in such a way that people beg for it. You can bet your life's savings there will be some kind of "bio-security patriot act" trotted out and it won't take long. And a lot of the people right here on this forum, who aught to know better, will be supporting it when it comes.

My thoughts: One of the two criminals on either side of Jesus also being crucified, confessed and believed Jesus was the Son of God, and not to forget him [by faith alone this criminal was saved, just as Abraham was]. It's interesting to note this criminal had no time to openly repent or demonstrate any fruit of Salvation. Paradise is not Heaven, there were two compartments in Hades; one side is Abraham's bosom called Paradise, the other side divided by a great gulf is the torment side. Prior to Jesus' resurrection, all human souls went to one of these two sides of Hades [a temporary holding jail area if you will]. At Christ's resurrection He took captivity captive; which I believe means Jesus cleared out the Paradise side [Abraham's bosom] and took them to Heaven. I believe the torment side of Hades [Hell] still exists and is expanding, until after the millennium when the Great White Throne judgment occurs, and all the unsaved in Hades [Hell] are bodily resurrected, and condemned for all eternity to their new location; the Lake of Fire. Just my hermeneutic understanding anyway...

Brother, the word "all" in this context is referring to "all" born again children of God. When we stand before Christ what will we be "judged" for? Our faithful service to the Lord: According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Cor 3:10-13 If what we have done in "serving" the Lord we will receive a reward(s). If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1 Cor 3:14 However, there is a possibility we won't receive any reward, ...it all depends on what we "add" to the foundation: If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 1 Cor 3:15 What will our reward(s) be? Will there be born again children of God that do not receive crown(s), ...there "service" to the Lord was not done in faith? Rev3:11 Notice Jesus warns us we can lose our crown(s) by listening to the false teaching of men How do we know if our "faithful" service is from the Lord? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Rom 10:17 The Word of God used in this verse by the Holy Spirit is "Rehma," not Logos. The Rehma is God speaking directly to us, like God told me to come here, ...but He hasn't told you to come here, ...where as the Logos is God speaking to "all" of humanity. God speaks to our heart and tells us to take a step of faith, ...to step out of the boat and walk on water, ...whenever God speaks to us personally (Rehma) it will always be something we can't do without His supernatural intervention in our lives enabling us to accomplish it, ...that way it's only God who "receives" the Glory. Can you see that brother? Can you see how I'm trying to help you, ...I believe you are different from the "other" Sabbath keepers here, the difference is I believe you truly love our Lord and want to be pleasing in His sight, ...where the others are "tooting" their own horn, "Look" what I'm doing. I ask you, who is "receiving" the glory, ...themselves or, ...God? Please understand, I'm trying to show you a "better" way Acts 18:24-26, ...dear brother I want you to receive "all" of your crowns, ...please study it for yourself, this Sabbath Day teaching is only 170 years old first introduced into the church by a Baptist pastor and then picked up by Ellen White after Miller's false prophecy about the Rapture of the Church so miserably failed, ..if you read church history you won't find it in the early church and throughout history until now. Matthew 18:20 (KJV) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. I would consider what Jesus said above to be a church. Far be it from me to criticize your church or you or offer advice, other than to point out a few things. I think many of us have been in the same boat so to speak. As you mentioned; the church needs tithes and offerings to function, pay salaries, the bills and expand its programs, missionaries and community outreach. Is a church intended to be stagnate or grow? Neither us nor a church can expand or plan much without a dependable and stable source of income [tithes and offerings]. Pastor's have an awesome responsibility to the Lord and their congregations, they are held accountable to a higher standard and responsibility by the Lord. Needless to say; pastors spend a lot of time preparing for their sermons, church activities, attending congregation needs such as; visiting the sick, shut ins, members of the community, retirement, convalescent and old folk homes, conducting funerals of loved ones, getting called up in the middle of the night because a church member had a heart attack or head on automobile collision and wasn't expected to live. Most pastors are vested spiritually and emotionally with their congregations and their brothers and sisters in Christ. It doesn't leave them a whole lot of time to spend with their families or to relax and unwind, they're as human as you and I with the same potential problems. They too need adequate vacation time, time off to be with their family, go on vacation and relax. With a big church, it stands to reason a pastor and his assistant(s) can't spend quality time with each and every member / attendee that he would like to. That awesome responsibility, emotional investment, listening to church members marital and blushing private problems with counseling, and personal burdens incurred; I would think that's a leading cause of "burn out" and frequently happens. Is your church preaching the Gospel truth, does everything center around the Person of Jesus Christ and what He did for us, does their theology and doctrines align with Bible scripture? If so, I personally would consider it a blessing from God. As so many churches in the recent past have conformed to political correctness, preach the prosperity Gospel, condone and support things the Lord calls an abominations, preach replacement theology, etc. Have you taken a look at the 'big picture'?

I don't think a large church necessarily has more financial problems than a small church. Maybe the money isn't being wisely spent, maybe the congregation doesn't, or can't, give enough, or maybe the congregation is shrinking.

I’ve been following this topic with interest, having a science and engineering background myself. One.opinion’s knowledge of genetics is impressive which allows an actual scientific debate, rather than just the exchange of quotations on the subject. However, taking a step back it seems that what’s really going on here is an exegetical debate, as to whether it’s possible to simultaneously affirm biblical inerrancy and the standard view of evolution. Or whether YEC is the only view compatible with a proper reading of scripture. The latter approach compels some to feel that defending the faith requires a refutation of the current scientific view of evolution, resulting in some emotion and defensiveness entering the discussion. So I think a more fruitful discussion might be to look at harmonizing the old earth, evolutionary approach with a high view of Scripture. So my question to one.opinion, or others that share his view, is how do you harmonize your scientific view with the creation account in Genesis? Do you fall back on the day-age approach, a form of gap theory or what? Perhaps if a scheme aligning with Scripture could be explained some of the underlying conflict could be resolved. Does this make sense?

This was war. Military action is different than a personal retribution. Read Judges 4. Deborah's song in Judges 5:24-27 recounts the story praising Jael for killing the evil king. Perhaps God worked to bring about the death of Ben Laden as well.

@Margo1945 In response to your question as to whether I have ever "murdered" someone or committed adultery, ...the answer is yes, ...guilty on both accounts! As a teenager I was in a group of druggies, some of us were acid freaks and others were speed freaks or heroin junkies, ...when the heroin junkies were coming down after being up for the weekend they turned from their jovial attitude to absolute evil, they OD'ed many in the group and I'm guilty because I "consented" with what they were doing, ...actually, to show how corrupt, twisted and evil the human heart is, ...I actually enjoyed and even laughed at those that were dying as they were pleading for us to take them to the hospital, ...and then it was my turn... Adultery, yes, we were at a party and a "Christian" man started hitting on my wife, told her he wanted to take her to bed in one of the bedrooms in the house, ...she told me and we left, ...but later, I seduced his wife in retaliation, ...today it is one of my biggest regrets, ...I was the cause of their divorce and spitting up their family. And here I am 40-50 years later, I have made my "spiritual" transaction with God, I heard His voice calling me, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isa 1:18, ...been walking with the Lord for 34 years, ...He has turned my life around and placed me in a ministry serving Him. Jesus defined "murder" as just "thinking" in your mind evil thoughts, ...the Holy Spirit has taught me to not only "say" nothing evil against any one, ...but when I've been wronged and the temptation comes to "think" something evil, ...He intervenes and keeps me from any "thoughts" that are "unpleasing" to Him, ...how about you, have you said any thing evil or had any evil thoughts about someone last week, yesterday, ...how about today, ...do you "know" the power of the Holy Spirit in you life that keeps you "pleasing" in God's eyes? Dear Margo, this isn't an attack, ...just an observation, ...since you think a born again child of God can live in sin, ...that causes me to question if you are "assembling" with the saints on a regular basis. The reason I question is it's been my observation, ...in one of the True "assemblies" (church) of my Lord Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit is present and working, ...and He won't allow one of His children to continue in sin for very long before their sin is exposed, ...why, ...because a little leaven will permeate the whole body and: ...be sure your sin will find you out. Num 32:33b Have you never experienced the Holy Spirit working in this manner at the church you attend? Lord bless

Obama is a professing Christian that used to read his Bible during breaks while teaching at at the University of Chicago before he ever knew he would run for President. He believes Jesus Christ is God. Ask Trump how many times he has read the Bible and if he believes Christ is God in the flesh. I’ve seen Trump looking around the room during prayer time.Im not saying he’s not a Christian, but his faith is more doubtful based on what he has said about faith combined with his fruit. If you question Obama’s faith because of his name then you should question Trump’s because of his ongoing questionable actions.
