  1. Wednesday 2-26-20, Adar 1, 5780 4th. day of the weekly cycle, 68th. Winter day For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans Eight:29 Romans Eight:18-30 KJV The Spirit Assures Of Future Glory: 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Love always, Walter and Debbie

  3. …..and yet you are now on a computer. Are you exempt from these evils? I always have to ask that of people who claim TV and computers to be so evil. I agree that technology has not brought us the advancement we think it has and it has in many cases brought sin. Yet, it is what we make it. I'm grateful for my cell phone, that I can contact people quickly. I'm super picky about what I watch on TV and read on the computer. I ask myself, how comfortable would I be if Christ were sitting beside me reading or watching or supporting this. That culls a LOT!! So, again, are YOU exempt from these technologies?

  4. Luke 5:31 (NASB) And Jesus answered and said to them, “It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. “but those that are sick” Those that know their need of Him are those that know they are sick, and it is those that will receive...Those that are well, are the self-confident in themselves ones, that have no need of going to get anything, for they have all when they have themselves.... It is the ones that know their need of Him, they are the blessed ones...Those that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they see the lack in themselves...They see the emptiness of what they claim to be theirs... Their wills, that only goes so far, their knowledge, their wisdom, their own ability to see right from wrong.....All which they see as lacking the completeness that is necessary...This is the sick that Christ calls to Himself. Those that know their need of Him in the mundane things of everyday life...Those that see their lack of the expressions of love, goodness, righteousness in their life...Those that see regardless of how yielded and grown they are, they are just pecking on the surface of what is love, goodness and righteousness....For it is the lack of these things, we need to be healed from... But for the heart that sees it’s need of these things, is the heart that goes to Christ Jesus to get these things in their lives...For going to Christ to get healed, is what our salvation is...To be healed from what we are by birth from Adam...This is the sickness we all carry around with us....A self-will that elevates itself above all wills, that sees to be high it must put down all but itself, must elevate itself above all that is right to get its own will done...This is the pride of life which must be given up, must be denied or it will keep one from growing....This elevating oneself over the other... This is what seeing ones need of Him eliminates, for it sees itself as God sees it, full of covetousness, envy, pride, wrath and all evil...Though it may have learned to cover over it’s desire for such, with a outward show of good behavior..When it gets pushed far enough it will resort to what it has covered over... There is one cure for that which ails us, and that is the Great Physician and a going to Him for all things on a moment by moment basis..To get this healing that is promised on a moment by moment basis...Blessed is the heart, blessed is the life, for it then, has entered into the rest of God and ceased from his own works...Oh happy day to the heart that finds it’s all and rests in Christ.., To the finding our all in Christ, Not me

  7. I attended a very large Church. I loved the Pastor's sermons. So you can not paint all Pastor's with the same brush. My problem with the Church was that it was too big. I was not comfortable with the fellowship. Even though I gave my tithes they kept asking for money all the time for various reasons. It was starting to feel worldly.

  8. after their 'Kind' or why not let those cells keep popping into existence.... evolution is the most ridiculous of the fools journey …. and I really get concerned when those who claim to know God claim that it was His way of doing things... death came as a result of sin- that's what God says- the evolutionist claim death and evolving was the method... trying to mix the two in some sort of hybrid belief is denial of God's Word...

  10. When Jesus spoke to His disciples about fasting, why did HE say "when you fast" instead of "IF you fast" ? As if He had an assumed expectation that fasting was to be a regular part of spiritual life? If that is true, why is fasting almost completely absent from western Christian practice? And yet those who have never fasted a day in their life, have all kinds of opinions about how others should view the topic? And never once refer to Scripture and what He says about fasting. Odd to say the least....

  11. This argument can be directed at the printing press and the light bulb and gun powder. Wheels were used to make chariots to run over, massacre people and build pyramids. Everything man builds is a tool for good or evil. Tools are personal just as sin is personal. Hypocrisy however is something Jesus attacked more than any other vice. As you quoted in Romans 14:14 "I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean." I personally respect your desire to not use digital medium or promote it to others but for the rest of us, eating sacrificed meat will not destroy my relationship with God. I will however stop short of worshiping Baal to open my Bible Reading App. I would suggest to you the possibility what Jesus had in mind as far as "Stumbling Blocks" was placing man made obstacles in the form of laws and rituals as a way to pleasing God instead of pure devotion to Jesus. Instead of providing a path to God the stones trip us into serving the Law over the Law Giver. It is valuable to read the whole chapter I Corinthians Chapter 8 for context to the "stumbling" reference. There would be a violation if I handed an Ipad to a person who is trying to overcome an addiction to porn, but to a disciplined believer who "we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”" a computer device is a tool not a block. Note in the chapter the purpose is to teach mature believers how to behave in the presence of former idol worshipers. Once you have become mature and no longer drink only milk, more freedom exists in how to balance faith against worldly responsibilities which we all must do every day. It is well known a collection of individual scripture references devoid of their book and chapter context can be used to argue any humanized point. Exegesis however will drill to the flaw in the argument and in my case, I'm unpersuaded despite the volume of quotes. In each of their own contexts the verses are snippets of larger arguments which are more important and in-depth than how they are used collectively here. -Pv-

  12. 1 Thessalonians 5:4 (KJV) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. I don't know about that based on what Paul stated above. In my opinion, the unsaved world and those Christian's not watching and asleep at the wheel, not paying attention to end-time events, will be taken by surprise like a thief in the night. It maybe wishful thinking on my part but, I'm hoping anyway, we will hear a long trumpet blast and immediately know what it is, look and witness graves exploding open and seeing those asleep in Christ rising up. Before maybe being called up by our own names by the Lord Himself? Oh what a glorious day that will be!

  13. After reading your threads and complaints about church, what stands out in this post is that you want to be entertained. Do you go to worship the Lord? Or are you going to see what you can get from church. You need to examine your motives for church.

  14. There's just so much that could be discussed on this issue, just some of my thoughts. Everything from the root of the problem; that Esau actually received the blessing and inheritance instead of Jacob [Israel], as the Arabs & Muslim's do believe. To the false theology established by the RCC in the fourth century; that the Jew's forfeited the promises of God when they murdered Jesus, and the church inherited them [replacement theology]. The Vatican is anti semitic to the core, and support and fund Palestinian causes. I believe to date, they have about 1/3 of control and interests in Jerusalem? Non revisionist history shows what the Pope / Vatican did and didn't do for the Jew's during the Holocaust as a recent historical example. We as Christian's are to pray for the peace of Israel, support them and bless them. Genesis 12:3 (KJV) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

  17. I had the blessing of working at a Bible camp summer after summer as a youth. Members of the crew were required to attend tabernacle (chapel) twice a day according to the schedules of whatever group was having their camp at the time (by ages, family camp, adult retreats, etc...) I remember grumbling a bit one day on my way to tabernacle...something about how the speaker this weak was boring, and so on. An adult who overheard me gave me a gentle and wise rebuke, "If we come with the expectation that God is going to teach us/work in us when we come to hear teaching about His Word...we will." I am so thankful for that attitude correction in my youth.

Have you spoken to his wife or doctor to gain additional insight? -Pv-

  21. The Lord Will Destroy the Earth Isaiah 24 24 The Lord is going to completely destroy everything on earth. He will twist its surface. He’ll scatter those who live on it. 2 Priests and people alike will suffer. So will masters and their servants. And so will women and their female servants. Sellers and buyers alike will suffer. So will those who borrow and those who lend. And so will those who owe money and those who lend it. 3 The earth will be completely destroyed. Everything of value will be taken out of it. That’s what the Lord has said. 4 The earth will dry up completely. The world will dry up and waste away. The heavens will fade away along with the earth. 5 The earth is polluted by its people. They haven’t obeyed the laws of the Lord. They haven’t done what he told them to do. They’ve broken the covenant that will last forever. 6 So the Lord will send a curse on the earth. Its people will pay for what they’ve done. They will be burned up. Very few of them will be left. 7 The vines and fresh wine will dry up completely. Those who used to have a good time will groan. 8 The happy sounds of tambourines will be gone. The noise of those who enjoy wild parties will stop. The joyful music of harps will become silent. 9 People will no longer sing as they drink wine. Beer will taste bitter to those who drink it. 10 Destroyed cities will lie empty. People will lock themselves inside their houses. 11 In the streets people will cry out for wine. All joy will turn into sadness. All joyful sounds will be driven out of the earth. 12 All the buildings will be knocked down. Every city gate will be smashed to pieces. 13 That’s how it will be on the earth. And that’s how it will be among the nations. It will be as when workers knock all but a few olives off the trees. It will be like a vine that has only a few grapes left after the harvest. 14 Those who are left alive will shout for joy. People from the west will praise the Lord because he is the King. 15 So give glory to him, you who live in the east. Honor the name of the Lord, you who are in the islands of the sea. He is the God of Israel. 16 From one end of the earth to the other we hear singing. People are saying, “Give glory to the God who always does what is right.” But I said, “I feel very bad. I’m getting weaker and weaker. How terrible it is for me! People turn against one another. They can’t be trusted. So they turn against one another.” 17 Listen, you people of the earth. Terror, a pit and a trap are waiting for you. 18 Anyone who runs away from the terror will fall into the pit. Anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap. The Lord will open the windows of the skies. He will flood the land. The foundations of the earth will shake. 19 The earth will be broken up. It will split open. It will be shaken to pieces. 20 The earth will be unsteady like someone who is drunk. It will sway like a tent in the wind. Its sin will weigh so heavily on it that it will fall. It will never get up again. 21 At that time the Lord will punish the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens above. He will also punish the kings on the earth below. 22 They will be brought together like prisoners in chains. They’ll be locked up in prison. After many days the Lord will punish them. 23 The Lord who rules over all will rule on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. The elders of the city will be there. They will see his great glory. His rule will be so glorious that the sun and moon will be too ashamed to shine.

  24. When you are well I hope each of you can return to a place where you can touch a person with a hug, a meal, warmth, a real human smile and sing a song. Hebrews 10:24-25 "let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Ephesians 4:4 "There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all." Colossians 1:15 "He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven." -Pv-

For those who might not know, an inner world is a shared imaginary space for alters to communicate which some systems have, sometimes it's as simple as a single room, sometimes a building, a city, a planet. Ours is a few buildings, a tent, a duck pond, a garden, a cave system, n forest which has a river n some cottages. The others live in there just like others live out here. Reality is a little off but they still have to eat, sleep, shower, deal with injuries etc. An they can spend time together or just do their own thing lol.

  32. "The hipster pastor is ok, there's not much to recommend him, but there's little to criticize except for the juvenile, naive new age ideas which he espouses from time to time. Again, no one really cares enough or knows enough to correct him. " Suggestion: Make sermon notes while he is speaking and going home, find precise scriptures which address your concerns PRIVATELY and do that regularly. If he is a spiritual man, he will meditate on the Godly instruction and inspect himself. It's VERY IMPORTANT you do not boast or publicly acknowledge so as to place him on the defensive. If this effort fails over time... Vote with your feet. I understand finding another congregation you can row in sync with is difficult, but so are steps of faith. I know a man who put his whole family in a car and drove completely across the US until God told him to stop. He ended up at my church 26 years ago after driving from the East coast to the West coast and getting a job here while renting an apartment. There are two ways to solve your dilemma: Become so filled with God's purpose for your life you become an attractive light persuading others to seek God more closely while still remaining in your church. The other is to leave in a step of faith asking God to direct your steps. You will find yourself in a place where others have made the same journey. Lastly, sewing discord in a church is strongly condemned by scripture even if the church is a marginally or majorly failing one. No church is stronger than the weakest member. Exodus 23:1: You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness." Proverbs 6:16-19 "There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers." I Peter 2:15: "For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men." James 4:11: "Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. " 2nd Corithians 12:20: "For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder. " James 1:26: "Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless." 1 Peter 4:15,16 "Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name." "Watch It All Burn Down?" Matthew 3:10 “As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” If you are indeed watching your church burn down, you are watching God at work so should REJOICE unless you are carrying the torch. Meditate on these things as ask God for a path which you can walk in strength and confidence. -Pv-

  33. I too believe we're the terminal generation, and the time is so close. I'm not setting any dates because I know better, but the Lord says we can know the season [how long is a season?] Perhaps we have a clue? The generation that witnesses Israel reborn again as a nation, in one day, shall not pass [May 14, 1948]. The latest generation lifespan is given in the Psalms; 70 years, or by strength, 80 years. If one looks around at the "convergence" of everything prophetic occurring and taking shape. I'm by no means predicting anything but; 2028 or before looks promising. That's only a personal hunch and suspicion based in part on what Paul told us. 1 Thessalonians 5:4 (KJV) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Come Lord Jesus, come.

I had a close friend who had a metabolic disorder that had been diagnosed and were under a physician's care. Yet her friends had all tried to tell her "all you need to do is (place idea here)...", and it made her cry with how badly they hurt her with non-stop suggestions. She had even brought two of her friends with her to the physician's office on her appointment, and they insisted the doctor did not know as much as they did. As of this day, I do not speak to them due to the great harm they did to her.

  35. Hi Justin, I think you are referring to the `church` as man`s organisations. The true Church is made up of believers in house groups, in 2`s and 3`s, all across the world and down through the centuries. Jesus the Head is doing a wonderful work of building and maturing His Body.

Perhaps Jesus won't return during my lifetime, but at the end of my life he sure will stand in front of me, and as my life flashes back between us I hope it will bring a smile to his face. I'm still a work in progress, and will remain until my dying day. I hope to waste less and less time on the temporary things the more I grow.

  38. I admire the evolution of science. From humble beginnings, it took its time to develop into a Moon reaching weapon that scientists proudly wield. Good job. However, as impressive as the collective scientific achievements and discoveries of the brightest minds are, it remains a fact that it is but a baby step toward comprehending even a fraction of the Universe. We haven't even explored the depths of our oceans or the complexity of the human brain yet, not to mention galaxies. If we are still at the very least few centuries beyond gaining deeper insight into the secrets of the creation, what hope, or better yet, what reason do we have to claim science can answer the "Is there a Creator" question? Other than arrogance and pride, the answer is, none. We have no reason to believe Einsteins of our world are any better at comprehending the Mind behind the puzzling creation than a three year old. It is beyond the capacity of the human mind or human methods to understand. If there is a Creator, he's no simple giant version of a male with an IQ of 500 at most, as atheists often like to paint the Christian God. Behind such complex creation hides even more complex creator. If there is a God, we would not be able to discover him unless he wanted it by taking the first step toward us (as he did in many ways, being embodied in Jesus Christ the most important one). Science is interesting, important, useful, inspiring, ever developing and fun. But make no mistake, it cannot give you the ultimate answer... at least not if by the scientific proof of God you mean a photohraph of God taken by a hybrid of a telescope and an iPhone camera in the centuries to come.

  39. Much of the time we ask amiss... if I may let me say this of the Scriptures: God has given us His Word that we may know Him in an objective format, God's Word written down), which develops a faith that can please Him. Rom 10:17 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. KJV God has never lied nor even considered lie as anything of substance from Him... so that is a necessary faith for who can observe the infinite exist of God? So let us reason this in the light of reality since we have no means which to verify this, that God has never lied, because we were began in the infinite we must take God's Word for it or call Him a liar... very simple choice BUT if we do not have a means to verify that God has never lied then we do not have the right to call God a liar do we? It is here that judgment of all peoples by what He has made Rom 1:18-20 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: KJV Note 'the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,' God is telling us that in His Own Heart He is satisfied with being seen through the things He has made so that all men are going to be held into an account by just being here in this creation... This is the fundamental truth to all of mankind in all walks of life and situations of life! Now for all eternity God 'IS' Spirit John 4:24 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. KJV We also know God's plans for this place of 1st creation where death and darkness reigns - He is going to completely remove it by fire and a new heaven and a new earth where sin has never been nor even considered... this is what we have been born again unto and the sanctification process is letting go of this corporeal existence to walk by the faith of what we have been promised... naturally God would encourage His children to attach their hearts to the things not yet see in the hope, because God cannot lie, rather then in these things pass away... All this so you can understand my comment to your post- we naturally in flesh wish to cling to the things of flesh yet we are instructed by God not to do this as the reason is given above... so in obedience to the faith that God has placed within us by His Word Heb 11:1-6 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. KJV The instruction is clear if we are to be pleasing to God then we are to be children of faith in s/Spirit not of flesh …

  40. DID is the most extreme form of PTSD, a natural reaction to traumatic experiences. It is not a spiritual condition, it involves no separate souls in one body. Alters are dissociated parts of the person's mind. It is a purely psychological condition.

  43. So, I am sick today. I am home. I am writing to you, drinking a cup of coffee, praying, thinking about my brothers and sisters in church, memorizing God's Word because I love to---not dwelling on how yukky I feel---and not dwelling on my sins, but confessing them to Jesus and thanking him that he already died with them on the cross. If you are home bound today, I wish you well sister and hope God blesses you.

  44. Hi, Okay here are some thoughts in no particular order: Hasn't this already be done by God the Son for the benefit of those that believe on Him as Lord God and savior? Is there a calling by the Holy Spirit to do likewise? what would be the purpose? Ready to be assaulted by Satan? Is there expectation of a gift of martyrdom with expectation to be put to a three year ministry onto death ? Is there expectation to die descend rise again and ascend to heavens? Or might it be a wrongly motivated desire, one that will led to tempting of God under the lead of Satan? Take much care, as much to your motive(s). Do not tempt God. My Lord Jesus was perfect, He remains perfect. He was led by the Holy Spirit to His fasting. He was assaulted by Satan and had to resist him. Does an imperfect created being have a calling by God to do likewise? Seems to me if I were to be so led I would need a strong overwhelming conviction by the Holy Spirit. I might want to be first led to 40 days of preparatory Bible lesson by and in the Holy Spirit. May God bless. ps - a bucket list item, eh? To God's glory ? or to say "I" did a forty day fast? Motivation might make a difference in result. Could end up kicking that bucket.

  46. Matthew 25:14–30 (AV) 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Luke 7:36–50 (AV) 36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat. 37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. What you and I do or do not do with the talents (Grace of God's Salvation) given us answers the OP more to God than any worldly vice that could be named.

  48. It seems to me Psalm 12:8 means that when the vilest are in office, the wicked are then all over the place doing whatever they want with impunity. Romans 1:26 concurs with your position that homosexuality is included in being vile; but it also includes many other things as Isaiah 32:6 points out. Psalm 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Isaiah 32:6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
