  3. Congratulation! A few of the people here have caused me to change my mind about something. After all the debates and arguments you have won me over to your side on something. There was a post about Joyce Meyer being a false teacher. I have listen to Joyce Meyers and I have enjoyed her "feel good" message from time to time. I've never been a fan but I found her enjoyable. But after some of you here started saying that she is a false teacher. I started looking into that, and after seeing a few Youtube clips about her and what she is saying, I now think that what she is teaching is questionable. It seem as though she is using Scripture in away that seems right but is not the true message of the Scripture. I'm still not sure of everything I mean if it is her intent to miss lead people or if she is mislead herself. In other words I do not know her heart and some of the things she says are uplifting. But like I said I am now a bit more cautious of her message and feel some of what she says is questionable. So there you are. You won me over with a debate.

  4. Amen, OneLight. We all change as we are conformed to the likeness of Jesus and grow in our understanding of Scripture. So even our doctrine can be modified. My pastor says that he has changed in some things he teaches over the last 30 years, has had to apologize, and may have to do so again. But I have found very little to disagree with in his hermeneutics and expository preaching. And he has cleared up some things for me as have some people here on Worthy.

Blessings LPSTR Here lies the problem, you have not started at the beginning,as One Light said...Babies cannot do anything, not sit up,talk ,crawl or "trust"...they are completely helpless but through the LOVE &nurturing of the Mom,the one that hold them & satisfies their hunger & thirst they learn to TRUST.....you must start at the beginning & YOU are not expected to DO anything except RECEIVE......go to the Foot of the Cross,go to the Book of John....this is Gods LOVE LETTER to you,personally.......when you read His Words ,read them as though you just opened the mail & it is addressed to YOU & you alone........THe first step in beginning this RELATIONSHIP is knowing that you are LOVED,of course you are afraid to trust GOD ALMIGHTY......you are looking at Him from a distance ,,,Waaaaaay up there in the Heavens, out of touch,impersonally......reach up just a little my friend & I tell you,He Will reach down the rest of the Way....if your heart is earnest I've told you time & again,so have others,,,,you keep seeking his Hand, you have to seek His Face .....then when He Reveals Himself to you everything will change, those prayers you prayed will most likely become of no importance to you anymore .......You are probably jumping from here to there to everywhere in the Bible,go to the Book of John, make it PERSONAL ...you are sure that Kwik is writing to you, aren't you,you are TRUSTING that I am here? Well, read the Book of John in the same way because Gods Word is the Living Word, there is Power in His Word,it is ALIVE,our Redeemer LIVES!!!He hears you better than I do,He sees & knows your heart,I don't!HE knew you even before you were in your mothers womb.......can you trust anyone that you don't know? Of course not,how can you,you are not expected to.....He gives you FAITH,a measure of Faith & that FAith is what has brought you this far, asking, seeking, wondering Because HE LOVES YOU! Now get to know Him,stop trying to learn ABOUT Him & get to know Him.....He is WAITING......... Run,don't walk my friend With love-in Christ,Kwik

  10. From the USA Today editorial.... Both Steve Bannon and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi share similar world views. Both harbor apocalyptic visions of a clash of civilizations between Islam and the West. I would say that the USA Today is spot on, as they did not compare the two men, they highlighted views they have in common. But they never accused Bannon of being a murderer or anything of the sort. I am not sure if there is anything in the piece that was said about Bannon that was not true. Did you read the USA Today piece and if so, what in it about Bannon did you find to be false?

  12. Well... There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. I don't know why she swallowed that fly, Perhaps she'll die. There was an old lady who swallowed a spider. That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I don't know why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die. There was an old lady who swallowed a bird. How absurd, to swallow a bird! She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I don't know why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die There was an old lady who swallowed a cat. Imagine that, she swallowed a cat. She swallowed the cat to catch the bird She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I don't know why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die There was an old lady who swallowed a dog. What a hog! To swallow a dog! She swallowed the dog to catch the cat She swallowed the cat to catch the bird She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I don't know why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die. There was an old lady who swallowed a goat. Just opened her throat and swallowed a goat! She swallowed the goat to catch the dog She swallowed the dog to catch the cat She swallowed the cat to catch the bird She swallowed the bird to catch the spider That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly. But I don't know why she swallowed that fly Perhaps she'll die. There was an old lady who swallowed a cow. I don't know how she swallowed a cow! 13. i have seen (a) certain user(s) on here spreading beliefs that seem to line up with new-age teachings on here (not naming names). If you can give me evidence this is actually biblical (other than the whole "ye are gods" thing, that's already been solved/disproved if you look at it contextually) than i will be happy to talk to you about it, but otherwise, please refrain from spreading it here. i do not think compassion and love are bad things, of course, they are great! But new age beliefs simply do not line up with biblical teachings as far as i can see. To warn those of you who do not know what "new age" beliefs are, it's basically the belief that we are gods and can create anything with our minds. This is,of course, an absurd claim, disproved simply by the fact that we don't know everything. "new age" can also describe any spiritual acts that do not line up with Jesus/GOD'S teachings (spiritual meditation and the like). So overall i guess this is just a warning and a reminder that we are NOT gods, but we ARE GOD'S (as in we belong to him). Bless you all and thank you.

  16. God responds with a literal invasion of heaven to earth through the worship of the believer. God responds to the praises of His people as mentioned in Isaiah 42:13 --"He shall go forth like a mighty man; he shall stir up his zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, Yes, shout aloud; he shall prevail against his enemies." As a communion with God in praise and worship, affirm out loud each of the below psalm verses 5 times per day. Also use them as a prayerful meditation as you go throughout the day. Psalm 8:1 - O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. NLT Psalm 19:7 - The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. NLT Psalm 20:7 - 7 Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God. NASB Psalm 24:1 - The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. NLT Psalm 24:8 - Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle. NASB ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

  18. Is it surprising that the anti-Trump fringe would now embark on slandering him in matters of relative bible prophecy? Scurrilous agenda's equating a democratically elected Republican to an appointed national socialist in the secular forums. Now, the charge of possibly leading the nation into apostasy, as if that makes any sense whatever. Everyone needs a hobby. Slandering a president isn't one to be proud of but there it is.

  20. I did read it. And you're attitude toward women is clearly personal and because of your last remark about custody cases. You should seek healing for what hurts you still. Rather than think to take revenge on women as a whole and anonymously on a forum using a pseudonym to hide behind in that endeavor. What you're doing would grieve the Holy Spirit indwelling any believer. Seek peace. Because women don't deserve what else you're intending to deliver them here.

  25. That's true, but you have to know him to understand that. I've experienced the existence that people drudge trough on a daily bases as well as living the life that God has been trying to give everyone, when I found him. Self love is one thing without God and quite another with him. I've been talking about the secular version of it, because that's the version that popped into my head when the term was brought foreword in this thread. I many times default to the outside when I talk about issues like this because I know what those people are missing. I was once there among them.

We are all apart of God's plan. I just wish that more people will realize that we might just be God's answer to someone's prayers because we were tried and tested by him to help out where he sends us. Just think what the guy that Jesus sent to talk to Saul of Tarsus, after he was blinded. Their are a lot of people out there who have been blinded by this world and we are his messengers. Some of us has special skills, because of our experiences, but we are all his messengers.

Or who knows, death, illnesses, unexpected situations.. Im for one for joint and as well each theirs. In these days you really have to have a bank account with money going in, as your credit history, your ability to even have a phone, credit, the small things even you need a bank account with money in it. You cant even prescribe to something without. So its not just oh, and the usual. Its about being practical.

  32. Perhaps you don't want to see any parallels with Constantine either do you? Like I said in my former post, many evangelical and charismatic leaders have already led their people several hundred miles toward Rome, where only one small step is a giant leap into apostasy. Were you at the meeting with the late bishop Tony Palmer where he declared that the protest is over and all Protestants should return to Rome and the entire room full of Protestant leaders stood and cheered? Were you at Washington memorial a few months ago where thousands cheered at the video of Francis calling all to unite again with him? Are you not aware of the massive modern movement of the Protestant church toward Rome as expressed by the Lutherans to be confirmed later this year in Denmark? Are you not aware of Trumps promise to tear up the Johnson amendment that will be the motivating factor behind the church lobbying and promoting Christian morality including Sunday laws? Are you not aware that in the late 1800s such a move failed only by the narrowest of margins due principally to objections from some very eloquent men espousing religious liberty for Sabbath keepers and atheists? With a vice-president who is openly and staunchly Catholic how can the white house be anything other than pro-Vatican, particularly in the light of recent history, where every President since Reagan has accelerated Rome/Washington relations, and where Francis addressed the crowd on his last visit from a balcony a step higher than any President in history? All these are but the tip of the ice-berg , and just these are significant enough to have your pioneers turning over in their graves.

  33. Okay maybe I misunderstood your post. However, I don't see Trump leading us into apostacy nor do I see him being pro-Vatican. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. I see no parallels to Constantine.

  34. Good grief, where did I suggest he was leading the US into a theocracy? Unless you equate one with the other, I said he had the 'potential' to lead an historically Protestant nation into apostasy through surrendering the nation into the arms of a coming global papal dictatorship. The uniting of church and state is precisely what such a situation requires, and the re-establishing of Sunday blue laws as a nationwide obligation will seal the deal. Current events clearly reveal that these two things, the latter dependent upon the former, could very well be taking place. To declare otherwise, is to view current events through very Trump tinted glasses. The Constitution and the principles enshrined therein, if protected, was designed to forestall such an event. The lessons of European history taught the forbears of your great nation that any future union of church and state, be it RCC or Protestant, would spell disaster for religious freedom, both RCC and Protestant. Prophecy screams from the rooftops however that such a union will once again be established in the earth, globally, and that the US will be at the forefront of such a move. The popularity of Trump within the Christian community is a very blind faith. That some things he is doing may well be good, that he is honoring his campaign promises revolutionary, but what he is doing if he goes too far has the 'potential' for disaster. The parallels with Constantine are marked. But hey, most Christians don't even recognize the US in prophecy, much less the papacy. And those who see neither, are caught up in ecumenism big time...just look at the names on Trumps 'best friend' list...either Catholic or very pro-Catholic Protestants ( a misnomer actually as they no longer protest) many proclaiming the protest over. How many stood and cheered along with the late bishop Tony Palmer and Kenneth Copeland at the Popes plea for unity and today have found favor with the White House? Revelation 13 demands a union of church and state. It is the people who in the final analysis actually call for it. This can only take place in a Christian democratic nation with global influence. The USA.

  35. Regarding heretoeternity's comment: "Jesus said in Matthew 19.17 to enter into life keep the commandments, and He goes on to identify the ten commandments...": ----- Note that Matthew 19:16-19 does not mean that Christians after the Cross have to keep any part of the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law's ministration of death, engraven in stones (2 Corinthians 3:6-18, Romans 7:6). Also, even before the Cross, when Jesus was asked which Old Covenant commandments had to be kept for eternal life, he only said five of the ten commandments had to be kept (Matthew 19:18-19a) and that one other Old Covenant commandment which was not one of the ten commandments also had to be kept (Matthew 19:19b, Leviticus 19:18). And elsewhere, when Jesus lists the Old Covenant's two greatest commandments, neither of them are from the ten commandments (Matthew 22:37-39, Mark 12:29-31). He answered these ways because loving others (both God and people) fulfills the spirit of every Old Covenant commandment (Romans 13:9-10, Galatians 5:14, Matthew 7:12).
    1 point
  36. Regarding heretoeternity's comment: "Apostle John said in 1st John 2..those who say they know Him and keep not His commandments are liars and the truth is not in them": ----- Note that 1 John 2 does not refer to the commandments of the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law, which included the letter of the ten commandments written and engraven in stones (2 Corinthians 3:7, Deuteronomy 4:13). For on Jesus' Cross, for both Jews and Gentiles (John 11:51-52), of all times, the letter of the entire Old Covenant Mosaic law was forever abolished (Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14-17; 2 Corinthians 3:6-18), disannulled (Hebrews 7:18), rendered obsolete (Hebrews 8:13, Galatians 3:2-25, Galatians 4:21 to 5:8), taken away and replaced (Hebrews 10:9) by the better hope (Hebrews 7:19), the better covenant (Hebrews 7:22, Hebrews 8:6-12), the second covenant (Hebrews 8:7, Hebrews 10:9), of Jesus' New Covenant law (Galatians 6:2, John 1:17, Matthew 26:28, Hebrews 12:24, Hebrews 9:15), so that the law was changed (Hebrews 7:12). ---------- All believers, both Jews and Gentles, of all times, are delivered from the letter of the entire Old Covenant Mosaic law, and should not keep it (Romans 7:6; 2 Corinthians 3:6-18, Galatians 2:11-21), or have any desire to keep it (Galatians 4:21 to 5:8, Galatians 3:2-25). Believers keep the spirit of the entire Old Covenant Mosaic law (Romans 7:6) by loving others (Galatians 5:14, Romans 13:8-10), by doing to others as they would have others do to them (Matthew 7:12). ---------- The New Covenant is a new law (Hebrews 7:12,18-19, Hebrews 10:1-23), consisting of Jesus' New Covenant/New Testament commandments (John 14:15), such as those he gave in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:19 to 7:29) and in the epistles of Paul the apostle (1 Corinthians 14:37). These commandments exceed in righteousness the abolished letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law (Matthew 5:20-48). So there is no reason why any believer should ever want to go back under the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law (Galatians 3:2 to 5:26). It was just a temporary schoolmaster (Galatians 3:24-25), a temporary shadow (Colossians 2:16-17), which God set up because of sins long after he had set up the original promise of the Abrahamic Covenant, and long before he brought that promise to fulfillment in Jesus' New Covenant (Galatians 3:16-29, Matthew 26:28).
    1 point
  37. Regarding heretoeternity's comment: "Jesus said in Matthew 5 Heaven and earth will pass away, not one thing will be changed in the law until all is fulfilled...": ----- Regarding Matthew 5:17-18, this means that Jesus came the first time not to abolish the prophecies in the Mosaic law and the Old Testament prophets regarding the Messiah's/ the Christ's first coming, but to fulfill all of those prophecies (Luke 24:44-48; e.g. Acts 3:22-26, Isaiah 53). Matthew 5:17-18 cannot mean (as is sometimes claimed) that Jesus came not to abolish the letter of the commandments of the Old Covenant Mosaic law, for he did come to do that, on the Cross (Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14-17, Romans 7:6; 2 Corinthians 3:6-18, Hebrews 7:18-19). Also, Matthew 5:17-18 cannot mean (as is sometimes claimed) that Jesus came to fulfill the letter of all of the Old Covenant Mosaic law's commandments, for he could not possibly have done that. For example, some of those commandments applied only to women after childbirth (Leviticus 12:4-8), or to wives suspected of adultery by their husbands (Numbers 5:19-31). ---------- As the Christ (Matthew 5:17, Luke 24:44-46), the mediator of the New Covenant (Matthew 26:28, Hebrews 12:24, Hebrews 7:22, Hebrews 8:6-9), Jesus had the divine authority to contradict the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law's commandments and replace them with his own, even better, New Covenant commandments (Matthew 5:38-44, Matthew 19:7-9, John 8:5-7), such as those he gave in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:19 to 7:29) and in the epistles of Paul the apostle (1 Corinthians 14:37; 1 Thessalonians 4:2). And as the Christ, Jesus had the divine authority to allow his disciples to break the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law's commandments (Matthew 12:1-8).
    1 point
  38. Regarding heretoeternity's comment: "The Mosaic law, the 600+ sacrificial, circumcision, food, festival etc laws were written by Moses hand. They expired as per Acts 15 with the exception of the four mentioned": ----- Note that the historical account of the forbidding of believing Gentiles to eat certain foods at the time of Acts 15:29 is not in line with the scriptural teachings which show that under the New Covenant, all foods are in themselves okay, for all believers, whether Jews or Gentiles, to eat (1 Timothy 4:4-5, Romans 14:14,20, Mark 7:18-19; 1 Corinthians 10:25-30, Colossians 2:16-17, Hebrews 9:10). But it may have seemed good to the Holy Spirit (Acts 15:28) to allow Acts 15:29 as an only-temporary compromise among the church leaders at that time, so that a schism would not arise within the church (cf. 1 Corinthians 12:25) so shortly after its inception, between those leaders who at that time still (mistakenly) wanted to continue keeping the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law (Acts 15:21, Acts 21:20b), and those leaders who knew the truth that all believers, whether Jews or Gentiles, should not try to keep the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law (Acts 15:10, Romans 7:6, Galatians 4:21 to 5:8, Galatians 3:2-25, Galatians 2:11-21; 2 Corinthians 3:6-18, Ephesians 2:15-16, Colossians 2:14-17, Hebrews 7:18-19, Hebrews 10:9b).

Obama was trying to help establish the Islamic Caliphate, and Trump will not allow it, neither will he allow Christian refugees to be ignored while the Muslims are given all the advantages. As to worship on Sunday as the Lord's Day, that was not an innovation by Constantine. The New Testament churches were already practising that.

  46. Actually Jade, that's not true. But even though I'm disagreeing with you, we're both on the same page, so please bear with me. The UK may be smaller than the U.S.A. (about 32 times in area) but we're not that much smaller in population. We have as many people as California and Texas combined. We ARE spending a lot of money on illegal immigrants. Don't forget that although we voted to leave the EU, at the moment we are still in it, and have been for decades. There are tons of immigrants in this country and they are claiming free health care. Our national health service (once the envy of the World) has been struggling for years. We have long waiting lists for routine operations and our free dental care is almost non-existent (probably where the jokes about bad British teeth come from). My own teeth are needing treatment and the only way I can get that treatment now is to part with around £4,000 (5,200 U.s. dollars) and I don't have insurance. I can afford it but wow... it's a lot of money to pay for something that used to be free. The only difference between our health care and yours is that you pay insurance (voluntarily) and we pay tax (involuntarily). I actually believe that your system is better as if gives a wider choice.... (or maybe your system used to be better... but I'm ignoring the consequences of Obamacare). We are suffering from the same problems that you have with regard to lawsuits. I personally know of a case where an Arab immigrant who could not speak a word of English was pushed to the front of the queue (line) for a surgical operation, and a working British tax-paying citizen who needed the same operation was pushed out of the queue because of him. Political Correctness rules here and illegal immigrants are often prioritised over legal native-born citizens. Don't forget that as the World around us deteriorates we are all in the same sinking ship!

  47. Oh but we do have a huge influx of illegal /legal immigrants that have not contributed a penny yet still demand more than our own citizens get including surprise surprise the right to chose female doctors have special food brought in ( not for health reasons ) amongst lots of other demands. We also suffer from " health tourists " ...people who come here on holiday just to get medical treatment they cant get or cant afford at home

  49. We all pay NI contributions via our salary/wage and so do the employers throughout our working lives ( known as National insurance stamp ) It is a set percentage of our salary or if you are self employed you get to buy your own "stamp " If you are not in work then it is paid for you and all medical treatment is free at point of need. It used to be that all prescriptions were also free then the government introduced a £6 charge per prescription ( if you needed 4 items a month or more you could buy a pre paid card that covered all prescriptions and worked out cheaper ) Now although I believe Scotland and England still apply the charge here in Wales we are back to free prescriptions. Just as well as we would be bankrupt with the amount of treatment and medication my mother has needed for the past 20 years or so. Just a couple of months ago she fell in the shower ( she is 86 ) It took three ambulance crews to lift her out as she was in such an awkward position Then she has scans and ex rays , plastic surgeons to see to the leg injury the fall caused followed by surgery to pin and plate her leg, 5 weeks in hospital with physio every day as well as the 28 tablets she has to take each day ( and blood tests every day as she is on warfarin and steroids ) She had an ambulance to bring her home as she couldn't get into a car, a hospital bed is left for her until she no longer needs it as well as a " pulpit " walking frame and a district nurse visits at least twice a week to take her blood for testing. I would hate to imagine how much that would cost in the USA
