  1. This happen last week: So my husband has to travel for his work. Every morning I pray for his safe travels. He called me last week and told me he had a close to death moment! I was like "what!" He then explain that as he was getting onto the on ramp of the freeway. He hit a patch of black ice. His car slid around and was sliding sideways down the on ramp! He said there was a curve coming up and he was sure he was going to flip the car over. He said that somehow he slid through the curve sideways the whole way. He got the car straighten up and went on his way to the job site. God heard my prayer that morning for sure!

  2. Pretty sure it's a practice that was established by the Catholic church. I'm protestant, so there wasn't a lot of credence placed about it. I once gave up a popular craze during the 1960's which was a form of meditation - contemplation of the navel, for lint. Oh. Wrong lent. haha!

  3. Shalom @Wnj086 I used to feel this way from time to time as well, until I got baptised by the Holy Spirit. I would say seek this above all things. Do whatever it takes. Pray with passion and persistence, fast if necessary and seek prayer from others. Seek this baptism with effort, tears and your full heart and it will happen for you. Once it does happen, you won't have these doubts creeping in anymore as you will feel different inside. Like there's a fountain bubbling up deep within you of life, peace and joy. You might still face trials and get down about things, but that deep joy and reassurance will not leave you - as long as you stay following His ways - which the Spirit will also help you to do. Seek this above all things. And have faith that He WILL give the Spirit to you if you do this. So don't give up and have faith as you seek this baptism. Love & Shalom

  4. Your arguments are always sans the body of evidence in favor of cherry picking. I don't wonder why you do that. Isaiah 26:16-18 Lord, they came to you in their distress; when you disciplined them, they could barely whisper a prayer. Pretty clear when one looks at all the evidence that the very people you say are removed have undergone chastening at the Hand of our Father. The one lack in all this is timing. Pretrib timing is a hoax as no evidence exists for such timing and a major scriptural passage refutes any other moment of the gathering occurring before GT. Psalm 27 The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—whom shall I dread? When the wicked came upon me to devour my flesh,my enemies and foes stumbled and fell. Though an army encamps around me, my heart will not fear; though a war breaks out against me, I will keep my trust. One thing I have asked of the LORD; this is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and seek Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be held high above my enemies around me. When all this is taken into account the truth shines through. David is speaking to the fact he will not fear when right in the middle of the conflagration. It is the time of Jacob’s distress, but he will be saved out of it." If this is proof of a pretrib anything it's pretty weak. These people are clearly depicted in a great deal of trouble. And how is it called distress when, as you advocate, the people are taken out to avoid distress? Should be called the time of Jacob's rest. The fact that you quote these passages is interesting. Beyond the comprehensive evisceration of the text in 2 Thess 2 by pretrib proponents it's made clear by Paul that if one is not the seed of Abraham they are not in Christ. Therefore true Israel is the elect and consists of all those in Christ. But you go... The group called the elect in scripture is more than special. The concept of 'elect' carries deep meaning, e.g.: as a deeply personal choice – literally "chosen, out of a personal preference (intention)." See 1586 (eklegomai). Typically, 1588 /eklektós ("select, chosen") describes people who choose to follow the Lord, i.e. become God's choice by freely receiving faith" "to select (choose) out of, by a highly deliberate choice (i.e. real heart-preference) with a definite outcome (as with the destination of divine selection for salvation)." "a (divine) selection" "select, by implication favorite" Justification is the rendering of righteousness by faith in the judgement of our Father. "The believer is "made righteous/justified" (1344 /dikaióō) by the Lord, cleared of all charges (punishment) related to their sins. Moreover, they are justified (1344 /dikaióō, "made right, righteous") by God's grace each time they receive (obey) faith (4102 /pístis), i.e. "God's inwrought persuasion" (cf. the -oō ending which conveys "to bring to/out"). See 1343 (dikaiosynē)." So if the elect are as described as above then that's all believers, where justification is simply rendering a judgement of innocence. One must be justified before one is considered a favorite. And I'm pretty sure if it's only the elect described as above, then your group you declare as justified isn't a part of that, as you have said many times. Have it your way. I want to be the choice one of God through accepting His faith, a selected favorite by His heart's desire.

  6. It would seem to me those who are trying to lead us astray are trying to glorify themselves. Instead of telling us what we NEED to hear, they tell us what we WANT to hear. That makes them popular, and this popularity is what they want. They will find, though, that it does not make them happy.

  8. All Christian men and women do need to be informed of issues concerning current events that affect how, who and what they place their political trust in. Of course this doesn't mean to place that trust outside of God's realm of things. You needn't be an activist, but it doesn't hurt to get involved, either. We just have to be aware of our own personal convictions and follow the Lord accordingly. Our vote does count, so we should vote with godly wisdom.

  9. Hi, Of course we are to be political and politically aware! The action of politics makes for heightened opportunity to be in prayer for whole nations of people. God answers prayer. The movement of people by the politics that lead to great conflict also leads to the Holy Spirit turning about thousands at a time as individuals, and sometimes by one mighty prayer warrior alone starting God's mercy upon a nation in answer to those prayers. We are to pray for our enemies! If we do not know politics how do we know of enemies ot be in prayer over? One individual alone prayers to God for it to be so. I just became aware of the selection of news by this ministry pertains to areas of conflicts wars and rumors of wars where each of us may be lead by the Holy Spirit into prayer for the people of those places and especially for our enemies. I had not realized that is a daily task for the ministry. I have been aware that conflict causes dispersion of the saints and spreads the word of God far and wide. But has not been so aware as to pray for the oppessors that God may be moved to turn them about to their salvation. I have this day spent time in News and the Worthy News Bot to take in these worthy news items and to make the salvation of the people involved part of my prayer time. Nations cultures and societies are always alarming if one worries about them instead of seeing what is happening as the fulfilment of God's word.

  10. Scribes of law in Gospel sought the worldly treasures by law and led people astray from heaven. Now, Church isn't poor anymore like first days of Christianity, there's money and many of treasures of world. Tell us if there is false using of Gospel in this era for worldly treasures as a reward and what this can do in our faith.

  19. He did. He didn't say there was an end early in the discourse. He said, "These things must happen, but the end is still to come." Jesus was not rumoured to arrive, "For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many." These are false messiahs of which we have had a great many over the years. I once saw a list of at least a hundred who either claimed to be Jesus Christ in the flesh or sent by Him for a special mission. There is no escaping the explicit order of events: 1) when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation, 2) at that time there will be great tribulation, 3) Immediately after the tribulation of those days: 4) The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 5) At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, 5a) They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 5b) And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, 5c) and they will gather His elect from the four winds, This discourse is the only gathering of the elect in scripture and it comes after the A of D and GT. As we understand, Peter, James and John saw Moses and Elijah came to meet Jesus, of course Peter, James and John all knew about John the baptist as they were familiar with his face but they didnt describe Elijah as John the Baptist. This is evidence that John the baptist was not Elijah. Matt 17: 17 After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John (the brother of James) and led them up a high mountain where they could be alone. 2 Jesus’ appearance changed in front of them. His face became as bright as the sun and his clothes as white as light. 3 Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared to them and were talking with Jesus. 4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it’s good that we’re here. If you want, I’ll put up three tents here—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

It appears ever since Constantine brought in his edict of toleration in 312AD, that still holds under 'political correctness', where we all hold hands & tolerate our differences, which sounds good, but you would have trouble calling someone out on their sexuality now, as opposed to 30-40yrs ago. Hence, people who now class themselves as gay, feel more comfortable coming out, as it's more embraced by most in the world, so we have to tolerate in films, TV, soaps & sports, all these so-called brave folks coming out of the closet, & being applauded for gay marriage etc. How the cup of iniquity is fast filling up!

I had a long wonderful evening and an exceptional meaningful day of prayer and study that just flowed from that. So I am way too tired to gather Bible referencs for realy good discussion to see if they do encourage me to participate and take notice and pray or not. ( I am sure they do) But I do not have that reference on the tip of my fingers, and my eyes, well they don't really want to co operate. Think they are going on strike if I don't give them some time off.

God uses the foolish to confound the wise, especially using the weak to do the works of valor so that the world and the believer will know it is of Him alone and not by the cunning of any man. He makes us a funny people each individually to His own good purposes at His pleasure. Some even try rating the servants of another as to whether they are one of the good ones or not- Christians are kinda funny!

  30. I think you get involved in whatever the Spirit prompts you to get involved in. Don’t let anyone tell you that you have to get involved, I disagree with that. Follow your conscious and get involved if someone will be blessed by your involvement. I’ve gotten involved in local politics when I believed injustices were taking place.I think focusing on local matters is a good thing for Christians because you can make your good decisions and good works seen before men. 14“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do theylight a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works andglorify your Father in heaven.

  33. Rely on the Holy Spirit to help you in witnessing. Whenever I witness I pray that the Lord give me the words and open them up to gospel message. If I had to rely on myself alone, then no one would hear my words. As far as being ready, its just a continual walk with the Lord, in growing in faith.

  36. Not surprising, seeing his mannerisms, but he helped with having 2 attractive daughters, & an understanding wife. Obviously, whether someone is gay or straight, any sex before marriage is a no no!, & never, if you're gay, that's God's laws, however the world accepts gay marriage. We are in the world, but not of the world!

  37. That could be assumed to be true if one throws out the OT. Isaiah is pretty clear that the righteous dead and living are gathered and hidden in their chambers (see John 14:2-3) BEFORE the calamities come upon the earth. All of Isaiah 26 talks of this. Isaiah 26:2 ties into Revelation 4:1. Isaiah 26:17 ties into Jeremiah 30:6-7 and David in Psalms 27:5 affirms the same. And Zephaniah 2:1-3 reiterates this also, adding that it will happen BEFORE the decree is issued, which could be the affirmation of the covenant of Daniel 9:27. And Isaiah 26:19-21 is pretty clear that the righteous, including righteous dead, are taken in accordance with 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-54. And 2 Thessalonians 2, the gathering is before the man of sin / son of perdition is revealed. Paul had to remind them of that because a forged letter had been circulating that had the Thessalonians concerned they were in the day of Lord period. If they were fearful, it must mean that they felt they had missed something. Paul reminds them that "that day" would not happen unless the departure happen first and then the man of sin / son of perdition would be revealed. He amplified it a few verses later stating that the one who restrains will be taken out of the way then the "lawless one" would be revealed. And what Paul wrote to those Thessalonians conforms to what David and Zephaniah said on the issue. The 'elect' being gathered at the end does not mean the church. The Lord clearly says that Jacob/Israel is His elect in Isaiah 45:4. Paul also states in Romans 11 that the gifts and calling of God is irrevocable. And the gathering of the elect of Jacob/Israel ties into Ezekiel 20. Don't confuse election with justification. Jacob/Israel is elect because of the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which does not mean they are all justified in Messiah though they are all elect. The redeemed are also elect because of their justification in Messiah, but that doesn't mean the redeemed are literal Jacob/Israel. As it is literal Jacob/Israel (Judah and Israel) that caused Yeshua to return to His place after He came the first time and it will be literal Jacob / Israel that will have to admit that rejection and turn to the Lord and petition for His return... BEFORE He will return. Hosea 5:14-15 and Matthew 23:37-39.

  38. Sure, I can try anyway. On a personal level I have obligation duty, and privilege to be able to share of the gospel of Jesus. BUT from the perspective of what is necessary for anyone to believe the gospel of Jesus I am irrelevant. For if I do not tell of Jesus, nor does any of His disciples, His father can and will make the rocks sing out of it. God has always foreknown and has predestined those that will be of the flock of His Son Jesus. He has given them to Him. And, Jesus does not lose a one. That is my security, that is my hope. It is certainty. The Bible references that lead me to that are numerous and likely generally familiar. A partial list is within the conclusion at what is labeled romans 8. It is also in part within the parables presented including the call for workers in the fields ( there are few.). And it is evidenced in much of the heroic tales from history of the individuals God has used to His good purposes, from Moses to Gideon, to Jonah, David, and so on. Men that did not always finish well. Within the scope of God's providence and sovereignty I am nothing; but within the privilege of being a saint, a soldier in the Army of Christ Jesus I am indeed something as are all saints. I am of God's flock, and am to stand my post no matter where, no matter at what, proclaiming in word and action that Jesus is Lord God and my personal savior; plus that He is the way, the truth, and the life by whom all that will be saved from destruction in this fallen creation will be spared and privileged to be with God eternally forward. None of that is evidenced by my waving my arms about nor by shouting louder than the next soldier.

At the harvest there will be time for God to winnow out that which is not of the harvest. He has always known anyway.

One story out already is of an American couple, now separated with the wife confirmed infected and removed to a hospital with the husband left aboard 'uninfected'. I'm doubtful he will remain so very long... As far as we know, only one case of the 64 known is listed as "serious". But, since the infected are being distributed to several different Japanese hospitals case categories may not be reported for days depending on how efficient the Japanese data collection systems are at ramping up to meet the task. And when reported it may not be clear who is from the cruise ship and who isn't. Japan has 89 official cases on the books, with 4 of those listed as "recovered". The official count has not yet included the 64 from the ship.

  42. A full 1/4th of China's total population is now locked down in quarantined cities. 400 million people. Cruise ships are becoming data generators of note. In the best reported on example, the Diamond Princess Cruise ship now docked (and quarantined) in Yokohama, 61 cases of the first 273 tested have been confirmed infected. Another less reported on cruise ship is docked at Hong Kong, we may or may not get detailed information from that one. Keep an ear peeled for news of the "Westerdam", a Holland America lines cruise ship that picked up 800 passengers from Hong Kong on February 1st, and has now been denied permission to dock by 4 different countries. The crew says no one aboard is exhibiting symptoms of concern, and it may be true, but for now it's a ship without a home... The story of the Diamond Princess has yet to fully unfold. 1. There was a passenger who got off the ship last month (January 20th) in Hong Kong who tested positive for 2019 nCov. Tracking of "close contacts" of course led immediately to the Diamond Princess. 2. The Japanese government allowed the ship to dock but placed all passengers and crew under two week quarantine (February 4th), and began testing of 273 passengers and crew identified as potential "close contacts" or who had suspicious symptoms. 3. First ten confirmed infections were announced Wednesday and ten more the next day. Friday another 41 were announced. Just in the past few hours three more infections have been confirmed. S0, what we know so far is that 64 of 273 tested so far are confirmed infected, and it's not clear if all 273 test results have been announced. 4. The quarantine of the ship was due to end February 19th. It seems likely that will probably be extended now. 5. The Diamond Princess docked with a total ship's compliment of 3711 passengers and crew. The current population is reported to be 3666, so at least 45 people have been hospitalized (pretty much as reported).

  44. I had a hard time coming to vote for Trump, a very hard time, but never could reach that point for Mitt Romney. I voted I also put skin in the game once Hilary called me a deplorable. Now it does look much like God is using President Trump despite what he has seemed to be least to me what he seemed to be. My faith, my hope, is on no man nor wo-man, but is in Christ Jesus alone. For God uses what may be intended by man for evil to accomplish good for those that believe on Jesus as their Lord. I could no more vote for a cult member to be in charge of anything than I could agree to try to impeach any President. This is not a land of parliamentary government. It is a Republic with citizen voters whose votes for their government representatives that should be upheld at all costs. One can easily live with an Obama or a Trump till election comes round again. Though I don't know that the country could have survived under a Hilary Rodham-Clinton. Praise God I didn't have to suffer that ..

  45. This is the result of not dividing the word of God which we all do initially until properly taught to discern the word. Jesus was speaking only to Israel when he said in Matthew 7:13-14 that there would be few to enter.....he was speaking of the Davidic kingdom on earth promised to Israel (Exodus 19:5-6 Revelation 5:10 Daniel 7:18 Matthew 4:17 Luke 12:32 Deuteronomy 4:39-40 Jeremiah 23:5 Isaiah 2:2-3 2 Samuel 7:16 Mark 11:10)....he was not speaking of heaven. See Romans 3:23 Titus 3:5 Romans 5:6 Christ died for our sins; He was our substitute, He paid the full penalty and debt for our sin by his blood sacrifice. See 2 Corinthians 5:21 Romans 3:24 Romans 3:25 Romans 3:26 He was buried. He rose again for our justification ( to declare us righteous) and forgiveness of all our sin. He gives us His righteousness and eternal life. See Romans 4:25 Ephesians 1:7 Romans 4:22 Romans 4:23 Romans 4:24 1 Corinthians 1:30 All we have to do is believe the gospel. See Romans 4:5 1 Corinthians 1:21 Ephesians 1:13 Believing is being persuaded that something is true. See Romans 4:21 The moment you believe you have eternal life. Titus 1:1 Titus 1:2 Titus 3:7 Trust the gospel of your salvation. Believe in Jesus Christ to have provided payment for your sins and to give you eternal life. Place your faith in Jesus Christ, in his blood, his death and his resurrection.

  46. Do Christians, can Christians, is one a Christian if... reveals a lack of understanding what a Christian is. A Christian is a fallen sin natured human being who believes in the genuine Jesus Christ. Period. Everything a sin natured human being is capable of or incapable of a Christian is capable of. Perfection only comes in the resurrection. Most folks (I'm finding) don't have a clue about this, and they are genuinely shocked by how much human nature we retain until we die or Jesus returns. We should be aware of it, make decisive plans to control it and discipline it (our ongoing sin nature)... Our ignorance of it / denial of it opens us all up to much more evil than we otherwise would be spare of. My guess is we falsely believed that passing laws would keep everyone in check. Then the self deceptions kicked in... I'm not so bad... no worse than the next guy... etc. Bible says we are desperately wicked and that even our best side / righteousness are like filthy used rags before a Holy God. That goes for men and women.

  47. @_arandanos182 I am so sorry for your difficult situation, i will carry you in my heart and prayers. Most of the times, we do know what to do, we just don't want to accept it. I pray that you will be brave to choose the right path. (I also pray that you can find another solution, like another sponsor in Church, or maybe another year as an au pair, or even to be considered a refugee, etc.) It may seem easier now to become dependent on one man, but it is so dangerous for your soul, as a believer, to unite with a man who does't depend on God. It isn't just a matter of abiding a set of rules, "as a Christian i don't do this", it is the relief of doing what is right: "i choose this because i don't want to feel the separation between God and i", it is a consequence of our love for Him. God's rules aren't a whim; as our creator He knows how we function as a whole. Regardless of our understanding, we must trust, because it is always the safest option. May you keep always God in your mind and build a strong conection with Him, above all difficulties. “...my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
