  3. I was taught right from wrong at an early age. By age 4 I knew these things and took a beating from a neighbor because I refused to steal candy from a grocery store for her. A former pastor was saved at age 7, having repented and chosen to follow Jesus. This age differs from person to person so I would need better scriptural basis to believe any age of accountability, especially those established by developmental psychologists. It is the Holy Spirit Who convicts of sin, righteousness and judgement. It is the Holy Spirit Who interprets spiritual things to us. I do believe the Scripture that children are sanctified by the believing parent till they make their own choices. 1Co 2:12 But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. 1Co 2:13 Which things we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in Words taught of the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. 1Co 2:14 But a natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  4. Have you ever had the Holy Spirit take over your church service? This happens a lot in my church. There have been times when the pastor has a sermon all ready to go, then like a wave people start coming up to the alter for payer or start popping up all over giving testimonies about this or that. Then the whole order of the service changes. The pastor at times has put away his sermon and just let the Spirit flow. Praises to God break out all over. Or there have been times when the service takes a direction that the pastor says "well I was going to preach on this topic, but I am being lead to put that away and talk about something else." I just wonder if anyone else has experience this?

  5. I love it when I find dots in the Bible that I’ve never connected before. This happened to me this past week when getting ready for my community Bible study. We are in Joshua and it was so wonderful reading about God telling Joshua that the victory over the city of Ai was already won and the he [God] was going to turn their enemies over to them. And boy, does Joshua ever get up and STRAIGHTWAY do what God says without fear! He doesn’t dawdle or ask questions. He takes 30,000 of his “mighty men” and they defeat Ai with not so much as one problem - quite unlike the previous and fleshly attempt in trying to defeat them but there was sin in the camp and they were soundly trounced! Afterwards, Joshua builds an altar to the LORD and the people go over the entire Law once again. It was a wonderful passage to read and see how God's sovereignty and man's obedience brings such glory to God. Bear with me - I DO have a point to make. We have enemies today, but it isn’t other people. We are commanded to love and evangelize and bring the lost to Christ. Our enemies are those “powers and principalities” that Paul speaks of in Ephesians and Paul in chapter 6 – gives us the weaponry with which to fight – the armor of God. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. But here is something I found while studying for this lesson. I like to connect Old Testament passages to New Testament teachings and to Christians today and there are plenty of commentaries out there to help with that. David Guzik is a commentator that I like to read – I don’t ALWAYS agree with him, but he is pretty reliable. Here is a point that he made. “Just as God told Joshua that the victory was already won and that he was giving it to them – as long as they were in obedience, we also need to know that the victory is already won in that spiritual arena by Jesus Christ, himself. Colossians 2:15 says, ‘Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it [the cross]. ‘ And Romans 8:37 says, ‘….we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’” Wow, that connection really has been teaching me and moving me. The lesson, in my mind, is EXACTLY the same as Joshua’s lesson. Christ has already “disarmed” the principalities and powers. Just as God already “disarmed” the inhabitants of Ai by putting them into confusion and causing them to make a terribly lethal plan of attack. And just as Joshua and his people still had to fight – we still have to fight. Perhaps you and I need to assess our fighting skills. Are we still trying to fight with sin in the camp? With a lack of faith? With a lack of obedience? Have we given up the fight? Do we even know when we last “put on” the armor of the LORD? Do we understand the enemy? Are we even aware that there is one? Are we trying to fight on our own terms? Do we even have enough of a spiritual spine to get up off of our spiritually lazy rear ends? Do we even care anymore? Jesus Christ has disarmed the enemy - triumphed over them and made a public spectacle of them - so says Colossians 2:15! Ours, as his followers, is to live victoriously and fight FOR the sake of Christ and our own spiritual sake. Maybe, I'm wrong - but I liken the whole thing to a carnivorous animal – sometimes the mother or father carnivore will disable a prey and place it in front of the offspring so that the offspring can “fight” and learn to hunt. If the offspring never learn this, they will be weak adults and probably die in early adulthood. Now that you KNOW that Jesus Christ disabled those powers and principalities on the cross – keep that thought in mind as you re-read this very familiar passage. Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints….. Oh, and do you know why these things are called the armor of God? Because the Old Testament speaks of these things in various places as God’s armor. Look it up! Paul didn’t just make these weapons up. Jesus Christ has defeated the enemy that Paul speaks of in Ephesians. This defeat is eternal. My prayer is that we, like that young animal who is under the guidance of its parent - will use the weapons that God through the Bible gives us to learn to have victory in the day to day moments of our lives. We are still commanded to fight just as Joshua was. Battles still must be fought - even though we already know that God wins. May we be as bold as Joshua, as humble before God as him, and as alert as him. And may we, like Joshua, when the fight is over, give glory to God and keep our minds in his commandments - every watchful and ever ready for the next fight.

  6. "All things should be done decently and in order." 1 Cor. 14 applies to this as well. 1Co 14:26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 1Co 14:32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. 1Co 14:33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. 1Co 14:37 If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord. 1Co 14:38 If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized. 1Co 14:39 So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 1Co 14:40 But all things should be done decently and in order. I have had the pastor preach on something else, and have seen people stay after church to come forward for prayer. But the importance of the preaching of the Word should be respected. Normally praise and worship occurs at the beginning of a service. But I don't see anything wrong with spontaneous praise and worship that doesn't interrupt. However, some churches such as the old time Brethren or Quakers had spontaneous contribution as the norm of order. What I do object to is fleshly demonstrations of people claiming to be under the power of the Holy Spirit. Or even confession that is given to draw attention to self. In time it is easy to discern whether it glorifies God or not, and what things are for the edification of all.

  10. Shalom, Sister. Here are some things I think you may have missed: First, in Isaiah 63, it's best to read the whole passage. In fact, as a side note, it would be wise for all of us to be sure that what we THINK we are reading is what we are ACTUALLY reading. The prophecy of Yesha`yahuw (Isaiah) is all ONE prophecy! Sometimes, I think we forget that this BOOK is the prophecy. We need to read the whole book several times to be sure of what we are reading, and I would suggest, if one can eke out the time, to read the book in a single setting. I know it's 66 chapters long, but if one is using a version that he or she understands well, one can do it in a couple of hours at the most. We so often zero in on a single chapter or even a single verse that we neglect the rest of the prophecy. We must remember that chapter and verse divisions are ARBITRARY and were added as addressing techniques much after the writing of the book. For instance, don't let a chapter division make you think that the texts of the two chapters are different and disconnected. In the original manuscripts, those chapter divisions weren't there, and the writing flowed from one right into the other. Some chapter and verse divisions made sense. Others make no sense at all! This is why my posts get so long. One must look at a verse within the context of the whole book for it to make the sense that the author (and the Author) of the book intended! See, now I'm about to do it again, but what I am conveying to you is but a PORTION of the whole, even though it is more than most would include: Isaiah 61:10-63:9 10 I am so joyful in Adonai! My soul rejoices in my God, for he has clothed me in salvation (rescue; deliverance), dressed me with a robe of triumph, like a bridegroom wearing a festive turban, like a bride adorned with her jewels. 11 For just as the earth brings forth its plants, or a garden makes its plants spring up, so Adonai, God, will cause victory and glory to spring up before all nations. 62:1 For Tziyon’s sake I will not be silent, for Yerushalayim’s sake I will not rest, until her vindication shines out brightly and her salvation (rescue; deliverance) like a blazing torch. 2 The nations will see your vindication and all kings your glory. Then you will be called by a new name which Adonai himself will pronounce. 3 You will be a glorious crown in the hand of Adonai, a royal diadem held by your God. 4 You will no longer be spoken of as ‘Azuvah [Abandoned] or your land be spoken of as ‘Sh’mamah [Desolate]; rather, you will be called Heftzi-Vah [My-Delight-Is-In-Her] and your land Be‘ulah [Married]. For Adonai delights in you, and your land will be married — 5 as a young man marries a young woman, your sons will marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over the bride, your God will rejoice over you. 6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Yerushalayim; they will never fall silent, neither by day nor by night. You who call on Adonai, give yourselves no rest; 7 and give him no rest till he restores Yerushalayim and makes it a praise on earth. 8 Adonai has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: “Never again will I give your grain to your enemies as food; nor will strangers drink your wine, for which you worked so hard; 9 but those who harvest the grain will eat it with praises to Adonai; those who gathered the wine will drink it in the courtyards of my sanctuary.” 10 Go on through, go on through the gates, clear the way for the people! Build up a highway, build it up! Clear away the stones! Raise a banner for the peoples! 11 Adonai has proclaimed to the end of the earth, “Say to the daughter of Tziyon, ‘Here, your Salvation (Yish`eekh = your-Yeshua`) is coming! Here, his reward is with him, and his recompense is before him.’” 12 They will call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of Adonai. You will be called D’rushah [Sought-After], ‘Ir Lo Ne‘ezvah [City-No-Longer-Abandoned]. 63:1 Who is this, coming from Edom, from Botzrah with clothing stained crimson (blood-red), so magnificently dressed, so stately in his great strength? “It is I, who speak victoriously, I, well able to save (rescue; deliver).” 2 Why is your apparel red, your clothes like someone treading a winepress? 3 “I have trodden the winepress alone; from the peoples, not one was with me. So I trod them in my anger, trampled them in my fury; so their lifeblood spurted out on my clothing, and I have stained all my garments; 4 for the day of vengeance that was in my heart and my year of redemption have come. 5 I looked, but there was no one to help, and I was appalled that no one upheld me. Therefore my own arm brought me salvation (rescue; deliverance [for his people]), and my own fury upheld me. 6 In my anger I trod down the peoples [the enemies of his own people], made them drunk with my fury, then poured out their lifeblood on the earth.” 7 I will recall the grace of Adonai and the praises of Adonai, because of all that Adonai has granted us and his great goodness toward the house of Isra’el, which he bestowed on them in keeping with his mercy, in keeping with the greatness of his grace. 8 For he said, “They are indeed my people, children who are not disloyal.” So he became their Savior (Rescuer; Deliverer). 9 In all their troubles he was troubled; then the Angel (Messenger) of His Presence saved them; in his love and pity he redeemed them. CJB We can zero in on certain subpassages that go together toward a particular subtopic, but bear in mind that the subpassage is only a PART of the whole. Yeshua` is here talking about how, when He first arrived, there was no one to FIGHT along side of Him; so, He took on this first battle ALONE! This first battle was not in the valley of Y'howshafat but in Edowm, specifically in the region of the city Botsrah, which is south of the Dead Sea on the Israeli-Jordanian border, 25 miles SSE of the Dead Sea. Revelation 19 is after this battle. (Indeed, Isaiah 63:1-9 is also technically after this battle! Notice: "Who is this, coming from Edom, from Botzrah...." He is already returning from the battle!) Revelation 19:11-16 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LordS. KJV Notice: Here, He has an army following Him that wasn't with Him before. Here, His clothes have ALREADY BEEN DIPPED IN BLOOD! Here, He is about to smite the NATIONS (PLURAL)! After all, who says that He can't stomp the grapes more than once? Different place (Valley of Jehoshafat instead of Edowm), different peoples (kings of the nations instead of Botsrah), different time. It's a different vat of grapes!

  15. Some of the questions you raised, i am sure every Christian at some point has asked himself also, especially about those who have not heard the gospel and those living in great populations that have never heard the gospel or those living in remote areas difficult to reach. However, either we believe what the word said or we rearrange it to read as what we think it should be. Choose wisely and not in your own eyes, but trust in the word. In previous posts you have talked about spiritual things that for most, it would seem foolish. I don't doubt you, but only you know exactly what you have been through, and will have to give account for your statements, be it false or true. Some of your claims though of being in hell ect, left much for one to imagine. Only one thing here i would caution, the devil can torment and do things to bring about deceptive works of darkness, so you must test the spirits. Here below, the scriptures clearly points out who has the keys of hell and that hell does in fact exist. Revelation 1 King James Version (KJV) 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Revelation 20 King James Version (KJV) 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works

  16. Just some thought I don't think fasting is just excluded to fasting. Fasting is the idea that we are sacrificing something that we would normally do so that we can focus on God and really seek Him and then grow in Him. Fasting is beneficial for our spiritual maturity not get God to do what we want. Not that is what you are doing just something I was thinking about when writing this. Fasting can be any number of things like giving up TV, radio, video games or pretty much anything that tends to keep us from truly spending time with God. There are people that can't fast from food because it would extremely dangerous for them to do so. So my opinion is that food isn't the only thing we can fast from. Remember again fasting shouldn't be for God to do what we ask but so that God can take us and form us more into more mature Christians.

  19. The reason of hell was for the devil and his angels... it is the only righteous place for His (God's) wrath to abide forever... Even the place where they are awaiting the lake of fire is terrible -according to Jesus-! Luke 16:19 (KJV) [19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: [20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, [21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. [22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; [23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. [25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. [26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. [27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: [28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. [29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. [30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. [31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. There can be, according to the Scriptures, no mistaking you are in error and are promoting false doctrine contrary to the teaching of Scripture... Love, Steven

  20. Well, hold on here. The church has a Pastor, Deacons and maybe a constitution of some sort as to behavior. Those actions should or would be picked up by the Pastor and Deacons at some point in time and the Pastor would address it in some form, maybe a sermon or a discourse. I would not get entagled in rude behavior at church, unless you are in a position of authority, like a deacon ect. I would rather have a word with a Deacon and see what happens, if it continues then shake the dust of your feet and move on.

Do they know what it really means to be a Christian? We all say and do things we shouldn't be doing as we're not perfect . We are perfect in Christ and He looks at us as being perfect but as long as we're on earth we still live in our flesly body which does sin but does not wants to sin. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.Hebrews 10:14 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:15.( That's me often and I do hate it..) We alll struggle with all kinds of things until our last day here on earth. John 13:34 A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another.

  23. Hi Retro I just found this scripture; Isaiah 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. please compare; Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. Revelation 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Can you see the difference? He hasn't tread the winepress yet in Rev 19, but he's about to. How can he come out and have their blood on him before he goes into battle? That battle he's about to go into into will stain his garments with their blood. That blood on his vesture before the battle is his own blood. The blood he shed. The reason why we believe in him. Now he's about to stain his vesture with their blood. Big difference. Their blood will be "sprinkled" on his garments. Having blood "sprinkled" on you, compared to being "dipped" in blood are slightly two different things in my opinion. I see being dipped in blood as going through death yourself, and the sprinkling of blood on your garments means you are the one doing the killing, not the one being killed. I could be wrong, but thanks for bringing up the question. Will keep looking into it.

  25. Just because a person goes to Church does not make them a Christian. Just as someone who sleeps in a garage is not a car. It is like the father who makes sure that he does not miss a day of Church and sits in the front row seat every Sunday and then goes home and beats his wife. God is right there with you where ever you go. These people will not get away with anything. They will be judged. I have seen so many hypocrites in Church. But I am sure there are many who truly love the Lord as well who attend Church.

  26. Those who live in sin do not like their sins exposed. If this chose sin over His will in their lives, they are Christians by name only as their fruit is not of God. Ever do a deep study on agape love? In 1 Corinthians 13, we read: Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Does this sound like Gods love toward us? God gave us each free will to chose what path we will follow, which commands of His we accept, and allows us to make mistakes if we are trying to follow Him. People are also at different stages of growth in Him. At first, the zeal toward God is great, exciting, but after awhile, God allows us to take what we have learned and apply it to our every day life. Just as a baby takes their first step by themselves, so we take out first steps in Him by ourselves. If we fall, like the baby, we get up and try again. The baby becomes a young child and off to school they go, to learn more and more. Se we also do so in Him. As we grow in Him, we change. Some refuse to become an adult in life, just as some refuse to become a mature Christian. You see, Gods love is patient (suffers long). He never forces us to be what we should be. He understands that we will make many mistakes, but is still merciful to us when we repent. To even think you care more about His ways then He does is a prideful statement and shows you do not fully understand His love. Statements like this one you should be very careful of. Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

  31. Well, you would be. Shabbat shalom, iamlamad. Haven't you been following along? The "within you" should actually be "AMONG YOU (PLURAL)!" Everybody misuses and ABUSES this verse beyond measure! (Btw, do you know that "abuse" means to "abnormally use?") The Kingdom of God is NOT inside an individual - ANY individual. It was, that day, AMONG the Pharisees in the person of the Master, Yeshua` the Messiah, who was the embodiment of the Kingdom, as its future King. Yeshua` (Jesus) wouldn't be saying that the Kingdom of God was within each of the Pharisees, would He? And yet, THEY are the ones to whom He was speaking! ALWAYS read the WHOLE context: Luke 17:20-21 20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. KJV Yeshua` was simply saying, "You don't have to go looking for the arrival of the Kingdom, nor will anyone say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'Look, there it is!' For, look! The Kingdom of God is right here among all of you (because I am right here among all of you)!" HOWEVER, when Yeshua` left this earth, He took the offer of the Kingdom with Him. He rescinded His offer to that generation in favor of a future one. Now, He left us to "occupy until He comes," and we can make subjects for His future Kingdom, but HE'S NOT BACK, YET! And, He shall NOT return until He is welcomed back! And, He shall THEN bring His Kingdom WITH HIM! Matthew 6:9-10 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. KJV That's not "Thy kingdom (is) come" but "(LET) Thy kingdom come!" People today think the Kingdom of God should immediately appear, but it's not yet time: Matthew 21:33-46 33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: 34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. 35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. 37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. 38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. 39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. 40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? 41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. 42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. 46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. KJV Luke 19:11-15, 26-28 11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. ... 26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. 28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. KJV Matthew 23:37-39 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed (Welcome) is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. KJV Acts 1:6-12 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven (toward the sky) as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven (into the sky)? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven (into the sky), shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (into the sky). 12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. KJV Matthew 25:31-34 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ... KJV The Kingdom comes AFTER Yeshua` has returned!

  32. I think it depends on how it is done. If something is sold after the service kid food or drinks then no problem. But if u r using the church to advertise and time is taken from the service to do so . Or the service is used ti advertise then no

  33. Thank you for your response. I have been thinking about it, because we read that the Magi couldn't see the light at some point, and that's must have happened when they were around Judea. they may have thought that their journey has guided them to Judea and where else to look for the future King but at the King's Palace. Their thoughts could have been that the King had a Son, and that he would be the Great King. So the Magi must have been perplexed, and dismay and there was no star to guide them. And then they were extremely glad to see the light of the star agan. ( Herod must had made inquiries with his own Magis and none could say that they had seen or they knew anything about the appearance of that Light or the star. "and they were extremely glad to see the Star and his Guiding Light again".

  35. Yes, they are problematic cuts. One weakness that Trump has always had is his inability to look forward, what he does is always about the result now, not later on. Meals on Wheels, after school programs for disadvantaged kids, funding for schools to be able to afford art and music programs. All those things will have long term, negative effects on the future of our country. We do not need to spend more on defense, we need to quit being the police force for the world and wasting our money and our troops lives. The irony of the situation here is that Putin is doing to Trump what Reagan did to Brezhnev, trying to get the other side to bankrupt itself on excessive military spending. And if there is one thing that Trump is very good at, it is bankruptcies.

  36. Be practical and responsible. `You're 21, no one needs to tell you what to do with your life. Your mom will always love you especially if you make your own decisions no matter how they turn out. Life is always a learning curve. There is good rebellion and bad rebellion. Good rebellion is making decisions about your future because you know it to be good and a thoughtful decision. Bad rebellion is to make a decision to get back or hurt someone as a motive. You're the one who ultimately losses. Time to grow up. There is so much packed in your post it's hard for me to believe this isn't spam of some sort.

  37. 19 is way to young for any guy to marry. Wait until he graduates and is established in a good paying job. Most guys don't demonstrate much responsibility until they are 23-25 and their career is established. Then they are ready to take the leadership in your home. He can be your best friend till then but not a live in, Maintain your integrity. If you need a room mate, find a girl who is a Christian. Meanwhile, focus on your studies and on the Lord. Read your Bible and pray daily. Your mom wants what is best for you. You need to honor her advice about this. :You also need to be on your own to get a sense of what it takes to manage a household and finances like rent and utilities, insurance, food, etc. For both of your sakes you need to wait to marry. You will also have food and cultural differences since he is African. Is he a citizen of your country? If not are you prepared to move to Africa and live in his culture? We married when I was 18 and he was 21, and we were in constant turmoil. We fought terribly over these things--money, in-laws, moving often due to temporary jobs. Then we had a fire at night that destroyed all we had (he had no shoes, shirt or jacket, I had only shoes and a robe. We didn't even have a tooth brush.) Stuff happens and life is not easy. You both need to be mature enough to handle the trials that will come your way and to lean on God in faith during those times.

  38. Tea ESS, I don't mean to be rude I wasn't supporting anyone's point. I was just answering his first I didn't say anywhere in my post that I found this out through just pictures. Like I said in my above post I have done my research. I don't just believe anything I hear. I do EXTENSIVE research before I believe anything. I want facts that's the only way to learn the truth.

  39. A child is not held accountable for their sins by God and all children go to heaven when they die up to the age of Accountability. This is the age where a boy or girl can accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The most popular interpretation of the age of accountability is 13.

  40. 1 Corinthians 7:12-14King James Version (KJV) 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. ======================================================= 1 Corinthians 7:12-14Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) 12 To the rest I declare—I, not the Lord [for Jesus did not discuss this]—that if any brother has a wife who does not believe [in Christ] and she consents to live with him, he should not leave or divorce her. 13 And if any woman has an unbelieving husband and he consents to live with her, she should not leave or divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is set apart (separated, withdrawn from heathen contamination, and affiliated with the Christian people) by union with his consecrated (set-apart) wife, and the unbelieving wife is set apart and separated through union with her consecrated husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean (unblessed heathen, [a]outside the Christian covenant), but as it is they are prepared for God [pure and clean].

  41. Until a child understands what sin is and that they need a savior, they are counted as innocent by GOD. Sure, they are born with a sin nature and sin just like us, but the Bible is clear that "unless we become as on of these (children), we will never enter the kingdom of Heaven."(Paraphrase) So, until a person understands, they are counted as innocent. Just as a person with the mental capacity of a child is innocent, although they do sin.

  44. That is the one major fault with Unitarianism, they do not believe Jesus is God. Jesus was born of a virgin, no other human born can say this. The seed of Jesus was implanted into Mary by the Holy Spirit, nobody can ever say that about anyone besides Jesus. Jesus is God, and the trinity is true.

  47. Blessings David Welcome to Worthy,if my reply echoes what someone else said please forgive me but I didn't read the replies, most of them are a bit long for me,lol I did see where you mentioned your age but I must say although you are very young you sound quite immature to me,I don't mean that disrespectfully ,I just say it as I see it and the reason I do that is because I care,I love you as my Brother in Christ & I feel very bad that your heart is aching....but you did it yourself my dear Have no fear,God is Good & you just need to get a few kinks out & all will be well, whether or not you will"get the girl" ? I can't promise you that but I know that if you seek ye first the Kingdom of God....ALL things will be added!!!! You say you EACH have a GREAT RELATIONSHIP with God in Christ, right? Okay, prove it!!! It's time to walk your talk & put your Faith into ACTON my Brother!!!! If this relationship is truly Gods Will for you both then TRUST GOD,you certainly need to work out YOUR issues, most gals would be drained with a guy that doesn't share(talk),doesn't communicate well, interact & really pay attention when she is spelling it out for you.....no need to cry over spilled milk, you can't undo what is done but you can hand it over to our Heavenly Father & ask Him to help YOU.David,He knows the desires of your heart & only He knows if those desires are what they ought to be,thats between you & Him......maybe she is the girl for you, maybe not but either way you MUST TRUST God to lead you, direct you & Reveal your OWN HEART to YOU,,,,then if it is more a desire for her than for Him or what it should be,ask Him to change those desires & I tell you,He Will David, when we cast our cares on Jesus & truly ask for direction & help it doesn't matter what the "other person" is doing.....if she is the ONE then God Will present you with the right time & opportunity to approach her OR she will call.....if not you should still have His Joy,His Peace,His Comfort & everything you will EVER need to be a very Complete person in Christ Jesus...you see? God can soften the hardest of hearts,if you are meant for one another then she should love you & yearn for you just as much as y ou do for her, right? She poured out her heart, she tried with whatever she thought she could to convey to you what SHE needed, perhaps it's not what she needed but thought she wanted? You are going to have to TRUST God on this (& everything) I gave my own son the very same advice & he did get the girl but it doesn't always work that way and that is not the GOAL....the goal is this His Purpose is priority, you have to ask Him to show you.......she may or may not be in the picture, the enemy would like you to believe it was Gods Will to be with this girl & you BLEW IT......the devil is a LIAR Brother,God helps us even when we make mistakes, just ask .....condemnation is not from God so don't beat yourself up,simply learn from your mistakes & Holy Spirit Will guide you one step at a time from here, stay out of His Way & keep those eyes on JESUS With love-in Christ,Kwik Please, whatever you do don't keep begging the girl......thats not what any woman wants & when you chase like that it usually chases them away,if & when you should contact her,God Will show you if you are listening !!!!!!........

  49. exrockstar, peter was rebuking Jesus. would you do that? nah, i didn't think so notice that Jesus said 'get thee behind ME, satan', not get behind peter... peter was arguing with the Lord... arguing against the will of God because he didn't like it. i don't blame him either! but Jesus was trying to point out to these dudes that this is what He had come for... to die for the sins of us all. anyway, our battle is against what scripture refers to as the principalities and powers of darkness. peter wasn't faring too well in this area at that given moment i guess. or perhaps it is more accurate to say that this was Jesus's battle with the devil, who was using peter as a pawn spewing words that defied the will of God. however you look at it, Jesus took charge and put the devil in his place. he wasn't rebuking peter at that time. he did at a later time, but didn't call him satan.
