  1. While I was in the States, I read several stories about Ronald Reagan that made me appreciate him as a person and as a leader. But one amusing story really caught my attention and made me smile. When he was a young man, Reagan worked at a radio station and sometimes played records of sermons. His shift at the station was a one-man operation and so, on occasion, Ron would set the record playing and then sneak out for a cup of coffee. One day he got a call while he was at the coffee shop from the station's owner, ordering him back to the station, and then ... he received his termination notice. He'd returned to the station finding the record skipping at a particular point in the sermon... 4. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. God wants us to learn to live by faith and not by sight. This means living with the idea that He is able to do what we cannot do for ourselves. While God gives us the ability to solve many of the problems we face, His greater desire is for us to live our lives dependent on Him. Godly dependence is not a sign of weakness like many of those in this world think, but one of immeasurable strength and confidence. Trust God more than you trust yourself. When you do this, you gain wisdom and hope for every area of life.

  6. Hi Absolem 1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. First Christ chose his apostles to establish his church and who participated and organised that the gospels be spread throughout the earth after his death and resurrection. Now secondly, seeing as John the Baptist was the last prophet who witnessed things prophesied under the Old Testament, Christ had to send some new prophets who would witness the New Testament. Out of these apostles, Peter prophesied, James also, Jude, and Paul who was not one of the 12, but prophesied many things concerning the end times. All these names are mentioned in the scriptures, so we know they are ordained of God. Now the last prophet sent was John who wrote Revelation. The book is closed after this. 1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. The New Testament prophets are subject to the OT prophets. They have the same message, the same spirit of God in them. Their prophesies harmonise to complete the full plan of God, and are not in contradiction of one another. And we know all their names, because all are mentioned in the scriptures. Once the book of Revelation was finished by the last prophet John, the Word given to us is complete. Nothing will change. Now teachers can teach all that is written in it's entirety from Genesis to John (book of Revelation) So now, in today's world, we can be given the spirit of prophecy, not to add anything written, but to understand what's already been written. Only those that have the true testimony of Christ - can be given this special gift of understanding prophecy. If we heed the words of all the prophets and apostles we become brethren with them and with Christ also. These are all the children of God who are bound together by truth. If we are hypocrites, not walking in love or the truth, we will be blocked from truth, ...but not knowing it. The holy spirit is the "spirit of truth". We will not be shown everything immediately, because the holy spirit has to grow. Whilst we are walking in Christ, we will constantly go to the Word of God seeking instruction, and understanding. We will make mistakes, and fall back at times, but if the heart is sincere, Christ will correct and fill us up with more truth measure by measure, ..and every man will get his own measure of knowledge and truth according to what he has put into God. If we only put in a little, we only get back a little, but the more we invest, the more return (of truth) 1 Corinthians 3:8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. Matthew 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. One thing I noticed is that the prophets never endorsed themselves, but went straight to the issue on what God has to say. It was never about them, but about Gods message. If you think that God has called you to be a prophet and can't really describe it in words, then maybe I am thinking that he wants you to have this spirit of prophecy, where he can give you understanding of the prophesies, being subject to what the prophets spoke, and you can share with others. It is something that we should all covet, to have understanding of God's speech, a beautiful thing and have our faith backed with real substance, being able to answer all questions to anyone that asks, especially the hungry. Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. So John of Revelation was the last prophet of the NT, because the word given to us is complete then,..there are no more books after this,.. and the next prophets to come are the 2 witnesses who will be reminding Israel and the world of all the prophesies ignored, and who will reveal new things demonstrating their power that God is with them as we have already been told that their arrival is coming. And to sum it up, we are told that many false prophets will come, but the ones already sent, even though they have come and gone,.... God's word spoken through them is a living word, alive today and still full of power, and the names of those prophets who delivered God's Word are mentioned for us as proof that they are the ones we receive, because they are the ones sent by God. Anyone else cannot give anything new, but can only confirm and repeat what the other prophets spake so the spirit is in harmony.

  7. I think like Willa pointed out in her post, there is a difference between the type of prophet spoken of in Deuteronomy versus the type of prophet that would exist now. Scripture already contains the information we need, I don't see what could be added. I Corinthians 14: 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. From the New Testament perspective it would appear the gift of prophecy is a bit different than the type of prophet that would follow Moses, which we see in the Old Testament prophecies. A prophet today would be more like an interpreter of the prophecy still to take place as opposed to having something new to add. Some may disagree with that, but in my view scripture was completed with John's Revelation. God bless

  8. Anyone who thinks they have a prophecy or word of knowledge, must test the spirit and that information to see where it came from; to see if it really is from God. And it must be weighed by the standard of authority already shown in the completed word of God. God's word (the whole bible) is the authority of the church. ( the body of Christ) It is the final say in what we believe and how we should live. Since the canon is closed, no new revelations will transpire. Everything must line up with scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

  11. The Loner Recently, Ive been reading a lot of western novels (I know, me, read westerns) And I got to thinking, you know, there are a lot of different "characters" or types of people, in these novels, that all go together, to make the story real, and then I thought, I wondered what would happen, if I made a comparison of these different types of people, to people in the church today, and if it would be relevant. And keep in mind, many of these types, intermix, and share characteristics, and many people change from one to another. They all have strengths, and weaknesses, and when combined can make for a well oiled church. I am going to start a series, discussing these different types of people, their strengths, their weaknesses, and how they can help others, and how to help them. The one I'm going to discuss today is "the loner". The loner, is someone who tends to avoid other people, to avoid hurt. In the novels, hes often a hermit, or someone who sticks to himself, often because of some past hurt, loss of a loved one, a fortune, or just burned by to many people. The person is often quiet, stays out of the way and no one thinks twice about them, but usually ends up playing some vital part in the story. Often, this person comes to the realization that they cant hide from all their problems, and there are more important things and people need help, and they come out and save the day. The modern day loner, like the ones in the books, tend to carry around a lot of pain, and a lot of baggage, and like the ones in the books, their answer to dealing with it, is basically to retreat inside themselves. They may attend church for awhile, but usually, end up forsaking the church. The pain comes from many sources, personal life, loss of a loved one, sometimes mental issues, and often, even from the church, and their answer is to retreat within themselves. If they are in church they are hiding alone in a back pew, or at home listening to a TV preacher. They have a hard time seeing past the pain and the hurt, and they have grown to not see any good in others. Now, they also, usually have big hearts and can be very caring people, they have often been through tough things, and can relate to others, and really be a great person to have in the church family, just for that very reason, but reaching them can be tough. They need to know that they are not alone, and that they are loved, and encouraged to reach out for help, that even though the church isnt perfect it is there for them. It often takes a lot of patience, and prayer, to reach this kind of person, but once you get them on your side, just like in the novels, they can play a instrumental role in your church, and can literally, move mountains. They often work behind the scenes, helping others that feel alone. Their experience with pain, can be both their greatest weakness-but also their greatest strength. Each "loner" is different, about the best advice that can be applied all around, is to pray for them, and love on them, and listen to them, and be very encouraging. Beyond that, each ones different, but will take patience, and a lot of love to earn their trust. Once you do, you will not regret it. And if you are a loner reading this, please, remember, that God does love you, and promises to be there for you-if you let him. And please, I realize the church maybe hurtful, but it does need you, and the talents you alone can provide. Its tough, but try to look for the good in people, remember, God loves you! Here are some comforting verses, that may come as comfort to "the loner" in your life. All verses are taken out of the KJV Deuteronomy 31:6 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Psalm 91:15 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. Psalm 94:17-18 17 Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. 18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. Isaiah 43:1-5 43 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. 5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; Matthew 28:20 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. John 14:18 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you 1 Timothy 4:16-17 16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. 17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of

  13. John, thank you for this insightful post. Do you believe, as I do, that what calls itself: "evangelical" or "born again" is now gradually, to a greater extent, basically anti-Trinitarianism (which will often call itself the Trinity), but with modalism or tri-theism, being at the real core of it's essential doctrines. Not holding to the Trinity (as defined in the creeds), these people often have highly erroneous views about the person and work of Christ, such as Jesus only has one spirit the divine spirit (Apollinarianism) and Christ's atonement was completed in hell, not finished at the cross (JDS - Jesus Died Spiritually heresy). Finally, getting these two wrong, naturally they come up with unorthodox versions of the gospel, most of which add works (often in the form of compulsory tithing) to grace. Frankly, here in the UK, many churches are now doctrinally very little different than the cults, in fact the cults are often more honest that evangelicals, as the cults are often open and honest about their anti-Trinitarianism, whilst evangelicals will often have a fairly Biblical statement of faith on their web site, which sounds great, but which the church leaders then simply ignore as being "led by the spirit" they make stuff up on the hoof.

  14. There are going to be consequences to those who today have no self control in diet, or have no recognition of God's will and purpose in clearly stipulating what is good or not good for our bodies. We are living in the last days. I would strongly suggest that if one can be so deceived into believing he/she can eat anything (even though nowhere in scripture is it designated 'food'), without suffering any physical consequences, these are in even more danger of eating any 'spiritual food' without discernment and suffering eternal repercussions as a result. Physical weakness as a result of poor choices in diet affects our spiritual strength also, and last-day pressures in the spiritual realm demand we keep ourselves as physically well tuned as we can. Ignoring the Manufacturer's instructions is simply suicidal.

  15. Hi Behold, This is an interesting discussion and I am appreciating talking to you as I see you have a heart for our Lord and His work. So perhaps we can look further into that. Now as we know the 5 fold ministries of the ascended Lord, (5 aspects of Christ) these are given to equip the Body for the work of the ministry. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ.`(Eph. 4: 11 & 12) So how does that happen? We are shown this equipping by the Apostles, Paul, Silvanus and Timothy. `Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the church, (called out ones) of Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;........For you yourselves know brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain. But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict. For our exhortation did not come from deceit or uncleanness, nor was it in guile. But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness - God is witness. Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. So, affectionately longing for you, we were pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. For you remember, brethren, our labour and toil; for labouring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed the gospel of God. You are our witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted and charged everyone of you, as a father does his own children, that you would live a life worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. `(Phil. 1: 1, 2: 1 - 12) Here then is a clear picture of these ascension ministries working `with their hands` toiling amongst the believers whilst ministering the good news. Here then is relationship of a very personal kind, (the kind our Lord had with His disciples). This is poles apart from the `lecture type` presentation method we see in man`s organisations, that produce their kind - more lecture types. This is not scriptural. Lecturing is not equipping. Discipling, mentoring is up close and personal in everyday life and applicable to the actual person, for it generates the character of Christ. What I am pointing out is the unbalanced focus and undue emphasis in man`s organisations of - the upfront person, his importance, his position, his ministry, whereas the Lord would have us understand the every , yes every believer in the Body of Christ contributes to the growth and upbuilding of the Lord`s body. `Let no one defraud you of your reward.....and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase which is from God.`(Col. 2: 18 & 19) `Christ - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.`(Eph. 4: 16) I believe it is quite clear that every believer is in the Body of Christ doing its share whether labouring in the fields and demonstrating Christ`s life, or the mother with children, bringing them up in the Lord etc, everyday life is the `battle ground ` where the believer shows Christ`s life. There is no religious/secular divide in a believer`s life. That is a false idea to separate the clergy, etc from the believers. Paul and the other Apostles clearly showed that they worked with the believers in their daily toil and along side shared of the good news. regards, Marilyn.

  16. This has been written for some time, but this piece of what Pat has written here is "timeless". I would say what he has written is indeed insightful and (not but) i like to add. I think, there is "the loner" inside each of us; just to a different degree, just like what Pat has said, "each loner is different". There is part of us where we would want to be "left alone". There are some "loners" out there who do not hide themselves physically from people at all. They laugh, joke, voice out their opinions and well they may even be one who takes the centre stage or are often, (if not always) , the centre of attention. These people often make their presence felt, it seems like they "have it all", but nothing is further from the truth. Behind the scenes, they fight their own battles in life, where they silently struggle, their battles unknown to many. These type of loner understands for they usually have the best of both worlds; putting some part of themselves "out there" and some part locked "in there". Perhaps this is true for the majority of us. I am one such person. Now going back to pat's article... oh i certainly agree that once we reach out to the loners or "hermits", as they are often described, we would be amazed at what they have to offer. I personally have had and still have the experience of reaching out to them. More often than not, they become the source of comfort or a pillar of strength for me instead! They amaze me with their intelligence and "who would have thought they actually have deep understandings on matters that even "normal everyday people" are not aware of. And yes, as reserved or as expressionless they seem on the outside, they have a broken, battered heart that is filled with emphaty, compassion, love and understanding within them. (i could add more adjectives here.. but we all get the point). When chanelled correctly, they can indeed be an instrument that God can use to richly bless others. I personally can say they have been such a blessing for me in my life. God can use anyone living under any condition or circumstance to impact people's lives at any place, any time. To these loners who has deeply enrich my life, i take this opportunity to praise God and thank you from the bottom of my battered and broken heart for being there for me, for noticing me, for being my guiding light.

  19. Faith also includes trusting in His Word, which is backed by His Name. His name is His reputation of righteousness, faithfulness and loving care for us. It is His character. It is trusting that He is able to do that which He has promised. I believe in the resurrection of Jesus as He had promised, and that He will also resurrect our mortal bodies. I trust that to be absent from the Body is to be present with the Lord. These are things that we cannot see now but we believe that He is able to do those things He has promised. He has even given us the "down payment" or earnest of the Holy Spirit to reassure us that the rest of the spiritual blessings are coming. The definition of believe includes to trust in, rely upon, cling to and adhere to. Like belief and believe are two forms of the same English word, faith and believe are two forms of the same Greek word. We are told that the just shall live by his faith. Faith is not just intellectual or pie in the sky. Our faith is reinforced by the Holy Spirit, God Himself within us, and has become a core part of our being Who motivates, guides, and empowers us in accord with His word. Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 1Pe 1:23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;

  29. Blessings BobRyan I didn't go to the link you provided because I have no interest in reading what the CAI Pentacostolist sect offers, sorry enoob asked a very simple question earlier "What was the Law given for?" was it for Salvation or for condemnation? I noticed you did not reply ......Putting the cart before the horse never gets you very far,as Christians the first thing we do is come to the Understanding of WHO we are in Christ,His Finished Work on the cross that has afforded us a Life More Abundant in which we are FREE Indeed......The Law was made to show Gods Chosen People that it could not be followed by man,man could not Reconcile Himself back to God & they had the Promise of the Seed yet to come and there would be no more daily sacrifice when the Messiah came Men like Abraham were counted Righteous for their Faith in Jesus, they Believed Gods Word that their Redeemer was coming The Law Mosaic Law was for Israel ,the Old Covenant was the Covenant between them & God We were not,are not & never will be under that Covenant & the Mosaic Law was not for us.....so how does Leviticus apply to you,me or any Christian? Of course Jesus quoted what was written,He came FIRST for the Jew and we must Understand Who is speaking to who when reading the Scriptures & why,for a specific people in a specific time & for a specific reason.....Do we not learn from others experiences, from their mistakes?(hopefully) Every Word that is Written does not apply to you & I .....how can I fall back on the Law (as in the 6th Chapter of Hebrews) when I was never under the Law in the first place ,so that does not pertain to me but I certainly can learn from it Anyway, this Thread is about eating pork,as RG mentioned,70 odd pages about whether or not you can eat pork & a 3 yr old Thread We don't have dietary laws but if you want to know what James suggested to make it simple for the Gentiles(us) ...He suggested four rules in Acts 15th Chapter, those Christians were just as confused then as in this Thread So,back to enoobs question,Why was the Law given? 30. No one in this thread has actually stated the Koran is a god inspired writing. Paul is speaking to the church in Corinth. Which was a region decidedly pagan in nature and worship. The Koranic dictate as to a man controlling his wifes body, being, is a comparative for those that imagine a Christian husband owns, controls, his wife's being. And she in turn surrenders her autonomy. And the same with the Christian husband to his wife. If we're going to go by that edict as God given then hearken to the Old Testament that Paul was solely familiar with on a personal level as a Pharisee. A prosecutor of God's law. And those verses that speak of and to women and their being in the control of males in their life. For instance, a raped daughter. Who was to be sold by her father to her rapist for pieces of silver. Or, if she was engaged in the ravishing, she was to instead be killed. If a woman is to be property of her husband as some wish to argue here, then that woman would not be able to speak without her husbands permission. And the same for the husband without his wife's permission. If the body is not their own each spouse and their actions are under the control of the other. That's slavery.

  31. An excellent point. Mankind has not been good stewards when you consider some of the behaviors we know of, such as companies dumping chemicals into rivers and lakes, companies that make environmentally unfriendly products like plastics, styrofoam, etc. Another more common, but not often thought of mistreatment is littering, an offense that many people commit out of laziness. We should all be mindful of our own actions and persistent with our elected officials in regards to what corporations are doing. God bless

  36. Their god, satan encourages, even commands his followers to become cold blooded psychopathic mass murderers invoking his name before they kill CHRISTIANS.

  37. But you're an American, LK. And a Christian. No one can tell you to leave the country. I'm just saying that if they don't like the antimuslim sentiment here they don't have to stay here.

  38. So what that billboard is saying is true? Maybe "Muslims" just need to read their Quran then, instead of blindingly accepting it. You know, a tree is known by its fruit.

  39. So your upset that they are outraged? I just skim over the report but I did not see where it shows that Muslims do not know what the 1st. Amendment means. Sometimes I wonder if any of us really know what it means. (sigh)

  42. Blessings Wolf I've not read 22 pages either Brother, once again it's another discussion that ultimately leads to the obvious division within the Body of Christ, which should never be.....personally I couldn't care less what denomination anyone chooses to fellowship with & do not consider "traditions & customs" to be an issue ....However,what is an issue is "false doctrine" I've often wondered"Is the Wisdom & Understanding of WHO Jesus is a Salvational issue?" AS far as I see it the Word of God Says that "whoseover" Believes that Jesus is their Lord & Savior shall be Reconciled to the Father and by the Grace of God we are SAVED..... I do not believe by any stretch of the imagination that one must have it all right or that we ever can until we see and BE as Christ is in Heaven in our New Glorified Bodies, thank You Jesus!!!! So,the question here is..."Is Jesus THE FATHER"? .....No,Jesus is not God the Father,He is God the Son......the Bible is perfectly clear on this & as JohnD pointed out,"One PERSON having 2 Wills?-Of course not!!! Just as WE,the Body of Christ should be of like mind & judgement.......Can our opinions differ?Imo,sure they can & they will because we are still bound by the vessel of flesh & blood we abide in . But we must continually strive for Perfection, what is that Perfection? That is the Heart & Mind of Christ Jesus & being Indwelled by Holy Spirit(God the Spirit) we do have access to the Heart & Mind of Jesus..... It is also an issue when we have "division",the Body of Christ is so very "ineffective" when we,the members of Christ Body(the Church) are not in one accord I will not partake in folly,I don't know about anyone else but I am here to LOVE,to spread the Goods News,to encourage & to Glorify God.....How is that possible if we waste our time entertaining the wiles of the enemy,,it is not flesh & blood we struggle with, our Brothers & Sisters are not the enemy but that spirit of pride causes division.....we either partake of it or kick the dust from our feet and go where Gods Word is well Received.......imo this is one of those discussions that have become unedifying.Does it really matter if anyone believes God the Son is both the Son & the Father,I don't suppose it does but where there is "confusion" you know it is not the Spirit of God,so there is a problem......one little falsehood, one little bit of confusion is like a little bit of "leaven"......isn't that so? Now here is another thing,do I believe "Friendnt" is my Brother in Christ?I do and though he apparently has his own interpretation of the GodHead Triune I do think it is simply a matter of a lack of communication but I cannot force anyone to speak more directly than they are capable of or willing to & so I will not participate in the back & forth nonsense that is off Topic.....so this part is addressed to him.... Friendnt,I will not "edit" anything I have said to you.....there is not one thing I have said that I have not said with love & concern for you.....Whether or not I know the Scriptures you may or may not be referring to is irrelevent, this is a public Forum and when we speak of what we Believe we support our beliefs with the Word of God for the benefit of everyone reading and simply because this is a Christian Ministry and not everyone has knowledge of His Word or should be left to speculate or assume what it is we are talking about....I have studied Gods Word for many years and I still have no idea how you have come up with your interpretations or from where, can you imagine how confusing that can be for an unbeliever,a seeker or a babe in Christ?THis Ministry gives us the opportunity to speak Gods Timeless Truth, not to debate "people" but to debate misinterpretations & false doctrine.....this is not possible if you cannot answer direct questions & provide Scripture..... Happy Birthday to your wife.....so your wife says "Tell her she is wrong".....Wrong about what? As I said earlier,"If you want to discuss the Tree of Life then begin a Thread in an Appropriate Forum" and I will be more than happy to participate provided that you quote the Scriptures you have interpreted or refer to where you have obtained the information you have gathered to show how you derived at your conclusions.....No one has prevented you from opportunity to speak & I have absolutely no idea what this means?... What are you talking about?THe opportunity to say something about what? I've asked you before & many others have ,so I will ask you once again.....is English not your primary language because there is a real barrier that makes it quite difficult to understand your replies....if that is the case then we will certainly try much harder to understand what you are trying to say..... God Bless,Kwik

  43. When All Those Wonderful Words Of Knowledge Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:1-3 (New International Version) Turn People Toward Jesus There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (New Living Translation) IMO To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 (English Standard Version) ~ Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27 (King James Bible) Love, Your Brother Joe ~ Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160 (King James Bible) The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents. From The Inside Of My Gideon New Testament

  44. It will do so virtually unopposed if you LET it! I live in Canada and we arent too far behind you guys. We are further ahead of the US in becoming an Islamic nation. The only way to really destroy Islam is to witness to receptive muslims and tell Christians to stop being such a bunch of bleedin' cowards and stand up for the truth.

  46. I have often wondered just how far someone goes when claiming we need to obey the Sabbath. Scripture tells us: Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. If you use anything that causes someone to work on the Sabbath, are you not responsible for causing someone to work? Jesus fulfilled all the laws and prophets. Why not rest in Him instead of the law?
