  1. Interesting timing of this press release. Perhaps this is addressing a phenomenon happening not just at Worthy. http://christiannewswire.com/news/2118382961.html

  2. So......I hear this said nearly every time there is a post about food for the poor or food stamps or something along that line. Someone brings up "the Bible says If you don't work, you shouldn't eat." Yet Jesus never says this when dealing with the poor. All Jesus says about dealing with the poor and needy is that we should give. No where do I see where Jesus said make the poor or hungry person do a job for you before you feed them. Matthew 25:35 says For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. The Old Testament talks about the poor and hungry as well. Isaiah 58:7 says, Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. But the only place I see where it says "If you do not work, you shouldn't eat" is from Paul. From what I can understand Paul seems to have been saying this to the the Church of The Thessalonians at the time. The next verse seems to explain why Paul said this to the Church of Thessalonians. That verse, 2 Thessalonians 3:11 says; We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. So my thoughts having study these verse. Paul was not addressing the poor and hungry. But seems to be addressing busybodies who are running around among the Church of The Thessalonians, causing disruption and putting their noses where they don't belong instead of working. There for. From that I come to the conclusion that when we are talking about the call we have as Christians to care for the poor and hungry of this country. Or talking about food assistance programs for low income and the needy. Someone stating 2 Thessalonians 3:10 is miss using and taking the verse out of its rightful meaning. Perhaps in order to justify the cutting of food programs or it maybe that they just don't know any better. Anywho, I do not wish to argue on this. This is really just my own thoughts on 2 Thessalonians 3:10. I welcome your feed though. Good day and God Bless.

  3. The only way to replace the error of the world’s way of thinking is to replace it with God’s truth, and the only infallible source of God’s truth is His revealed Word, the Bible

  4. Im not leaving worthy, but Ive stepped back from many threads because of the off doctrines that are flooding the site. Thing is, if we all leave, then the iffy things are all that remain. I just wish I had more stamina now to try and counter these iffy things. When Im done with all my treatments and my body has healed, then I can.

  6. I was told by a Christian psychologist and our churches' associate pastor that it is psychologically predictable for people who cannot repay their benefactors to turn against them. That is why it is best to give anonymously to the poor. It is true that some people can receive gifts as from the Lord, Who is our ultimate supplier even when He uses people. However even Christians are inclined to become beholden to people and to turn against them when they can't repay. As I have said before, that is why the current hand outs of our socialistic government doesn't work and why so many try to scam the government. They save face and feel in control by scamming, or they become ungrateful or feel entitled and demanding. It is how they preserve their dignity. It is also why most men in Russia are alcoholics according to Russian evangelistic Christians, and why so many women become prostitutes there. Socialism robs people of their self respect. Others have said and I concur that some are desperate and in great need or in temporary need. These definitely need help. This is especially true of disaster relief.

  7. Wikipedia In 1980, LeFevre attended a concert by the CCM group, 2nd Chapter of Acts. Their long hair and music showed that they weren't concerned with outward appearances, but with issues of the heart. Buck Herring, the group’s leader, led the people in prayer and LeFevre prayed along and submitted to Jesus as the Lord of his life.[3] LeFevre quit secular rock and returned to his home church at Mt. Paran Church of God, in Atlanta—where he worked as a janitor, while attending Bible-study classes. His first challenge was to get out of his music contract which, according to the terms, could only be broken "by an act of God". LeFevre's attorney argued that being born again is an act of God and won the case. In return for release from his contract, LeFevre agreed to give up all future royalties on his songs, publishing and recordings.[3] In 1981, he started a Christian band called The Gathering Ground Band, later to be renamed Airborn with some musicians he met in the Bible study: Dean Harrington (lead guitar, vocals, percussion), Don Woods (drums/percussion), Kim Klaudt (bass), Mike Adams (rhythm guitar) and Michael Milsap (keyboards). In 1982, the band changed their name to Broken Heart. A small offshoot gospel label from MCA Records known as Songbird released Broken Heart's first album Brand New Start (1982),[11]with members: Dean Harrington, Kenny Bentley (bass/vocals), Stan Coates (keyboards/vocals), Ben Hewitt (drums/percussion), and Mike Adams. Others musicians who helped with the first album were: Joe Hardy (bass, guitars, percussion), John Hampton (drums), Ed DeGarmo (of DeGarmo and Key; organ/synthesizer), Jack Holder (guitar/background vocals), Phil Driscoll (trumpet/fluegel horn). Later members of the band included: Tim Huffman (guitars/vocals) and Scott Allen (rhythm guitar/vocals). Other musicians who helped with other albums over the years were Kerry Livgren (of Kansas), Phil Keaggy, Ed Zimmerman, The 2nd Chapter of Acts, The group Sevenfold, and Jimi Jamison. Two more albums came out in 1983, More and Live Forever (recorded at Six Flags Over Georgia). Over the next 10 years, the group released 10 albums and traveled over a million miles. In 1987, the group attempted to cross over to mainstream rock by rechristening itself 'Look Up!' and releasing an album with Columbia Records. The album contains a retooled updating of "Peace Begins Within" from the We Believe album and a cover of DeGarmo and Key's "Love is All You Need".[12] Over the years guitarists Scott Allen, David Payton, Trent Argante, and Skip Benicky and keyboardists Stan Coates, Paul Joseph, and Marshall Pratt were also members. Many members of Broken Heart have gone on to become solo artists, music producers, worship leaders, pastors, and teachers. In 1987, the band received a Rock Album of the Year GMA Dove Award for Crack the Sky.[13] That same year, they received a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance by a Duo, Group, Choir, or Chorus.[14] I remember Mylon Le Fver vaguely because his stuff was too soft for my tastes. I dislike most gospel because it is too much like "worldly" country lol. I did like Whitecross, Bloodgood, Rez Band and many other hard rock bands as well as some punk and alternative, especially One Bad Pig. The harder the band the more evangelical they tend to be, and I have seen teens hand out the tapes like others hand out tracts, and kids were being saved through the lyrics. Many others were led to the Lord during the sermon that was preached at the concerts. These were kids who would never have been reached in a church, but attended regularly following their conversions. One today is a head pastor at a large Nashville church, one is a youth pastor. The softest Christian music I have is Phil Keaggy and Phil Driscol. Otherwise I listen to the classical romantics. But I had a pastor tell me my Tchaikovsky is too worldly as well and that the only classical music I could listen to was Bach. I told him that I wouldn't stay under that kind of preaching and we left that church. There is nothing is the Bible about music styles. It is the lyrics that sanctify them. Psa 150:1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Psa 150:2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Psa 150:3 Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Psa 150:4 Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Psa 150:5 Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Psa 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!

  9. So are you saying we should leave the church we are attending and just stay at home and read our Bibles? What about this verse? ...not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Heb 10:25 I'm confused, you say we should not trust in our church and leave them, ...but you use the reason for this is because we see the day approaching.

  11. Well. At least our heads are not on a pole outside our dwellings, like in Indonesia. Our kids were not cooked in that Nigerian Tin Hut debacle. Sure, we may be outcasts and might even be maligned. But if we can be salt and light to just one person per week, then I find that heartening. One never knows if our words fall to the ground or not. As servants of the King, we need to persevere.

  12. ??? I was not talking about you. I was defending my stance in refusing to see the film and I gave reasons why. You said, "those with limited intelligence should steer clear - that we wouldn't get it." I just wanted you to know WHY I steered clear. And it doesn't make my criticism of the film ignorant. That's all, brother. My post was not about you or your righteousness. Yes, that is true. But I wasn't talking about heresies that pop up on Christian message boards. I was just explaining why I did not watch the film and after having numerous people who saw it explain it to me and having read numerous sites giving the plot of the film - I don't think I made an uninformed or ignorant decision. That's all I was saying.

  13. In the OT, it mentioned the Angel Yahweh who appeared to Abraham and ate lunch with him. In the book of Zechariah : vision of horse patrol. The man is the angel of the LORD 1:11 (Hebrew angelYaweh, one word). This is the pre-incarnate Christ who appears in the form of an angel. He is seen stationed in the midst of the lowly myrtle tree . He is deeply involved with his people. He is watching all that happens to them. I am a spirit, I have a soul ( emotion desire longing) and I live in a body. God is a spirit but he has emotion desires longing . But his are more intense and stronger than ours. From scripture it appears that God can also take on the form of a man. in Ephesians Paul focus on the heavenly realm being joined with the early realm. This will happen when the Fathers throne will come down to earth. The tabernacle of God will be with man. In the heavenly realm, you don't need a body but in the early realm you do. I would expect that the Father who is a spirit will also relate to us in the form of a man just as the pre-incarnate Christ did.

  14. Sounding a bit Phariseeish dear brother. Our Lord ate dinner with active prostitutes and sinners. Hollywood is sick with sin is it not? That is who Christ came for. Being professional fruit inspectors is mainly for false teachers. Some of those people who don’t live up to your own personal standards as Christians are going to be standing right there in glory with you. Luk 18:10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. Luk 18:12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' Luk 18:13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' Instead of saying Hollywood Christians who profess Jesus like you do are fake, why not exercise your right as a king and priest to God and lift them up in prayer that God may set them in order. You seem to do everything that pleases God, he said he will answer any prayer you make.

  16. I don’t think so, but we can do our part. Our first and foremost mission is to get them the Gospel. We will never eradicate poverty on this side of glory. Our Lord said we will always have the poor among us. Peter told one gentleman I don’t have any money to give you. Act 3:6 Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Mar 14:7 The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me.

  17. We must choose Christ. We will choose Christ. Yes some in our families won’t. But we will it’s our destiny. It’s our call. Our lives have been very hard, yet here we are, braced for even harder with the blessed hope of the promise of redemption. I believe in the pre trib rapture, but if I’m wrong then cut my head off because I CAN NOT change who I am.

  18. I know I said I would no longer participate but I do not want any of my brothers and sisters confused on this matter. @ShinyGospelShoes Seems very serious about this subject. Most men who attempt to dabble in unclear and unknown doctrines are. Its an argument you cannot win if the person in question uses vague scripture to counter clear scripture. We know God has appeared in various forms for man’s sake. We could not stand in his real presence or appearance at that time. So he appeared as men as well as an angel. He allowed Jacob to wrestle with him. The angel of the Lord and Michael have never been clearly linked as one and the same. We are told clearly before he appeared That Jesus was God, Eternal and creator of all things. Something that has never been attributed to any angels. Not a single verse of scripture says Christ was an angel at anytime. Michael fought the devil in Heaven. Where before his incarnation the Bible says Jesus was God, not an archangel or messenger. He was God with the Father. That is orthodox Christianity. This teaching of Shiny is from his own mind and is a disrespect of the true Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Col 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. Col 2:19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow. Clear scripture, with no guessing. He has been given clear truth concerning this matter with not a single scripture saying Christ Jesus is also Michael the archangel. We have clear scripture that Christ is superior to angels and they all worship him. Only to have him say all but one uncreated angel, Michael. God clearly says he never told any angel(arch, seraphim, Cherubim, etc) to sit at my right hand. Always believe clear revelation over vague teaching that is never solidified. I do believe he is a brother, I just believe he is in great error.

  19. I was curious and wrote some quick code to scan a dictionary of about 90,000 entries. I found almost 1000 words and names in English whose values (using A=1, B=2, C=3, etc) add up to 74. Here are some of them: Lucifer, abominable, accursed, beauty, brutal, error, fiendish, horns, indecent, occult, and proud. Abraham adds up to 44 as do: faith, hope, oath, decreed, elder, and Judah. I just generated a list of about 400 words adding up to 44 and picked which ones had anything to do with Abraham (with Judah being a great grandson) and just ignored the rest. This type of gematria ends up being little more than selecting some group of words by a numerical criteria and then picking and choosing from them to produce what one hopes to see. Most of the hundreds of English words adding up to 74 or 44 have little to do with anything in the Bible.

I too, checked into a few places before I came across this one recently, even got run out on a rail from one (it's OK, Christ warned that might happen) and on here I've found that while I still ruffle some feathers on occasion for the most part there's more meaningful discourse as opposed to craziness here than in the other places I saw. (I will admit my sample size is minute so my experience can only reflect that)

  23. Paul was writing to Christians and the church giving voluntarily out of their own means to help people they know. If someone was truly in need, help. If someone didn't really need help, don't enable them. We are now in a system where the government takes one's money (under threat of loss of property or prison) giving it to total strangers some of whom are truly needy temporarily, some of whom are disabled or permanently needy, some of whom become stuck in a cycle of poverty due to the programs, and some of whom are scamming the system. I think the common factors are to help those who really need it and stop allowing scamming the system, enabling the lazy, and permanently enslaving people in poverty. If we knew the people getting our money, we could use our own judgement and decide who really needs help. Since we don't, we are stuck with casting votes for people who are more concerned with getting re-elected who may or may not be able to make changes to a huge bureaucratic system.

  24. 2 Thess 3:10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this, that if anyone would not work, neither should he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some who walk disorderly among you, not working at all, but being busybodies. 12 Now we command and exhort those who are such, by our Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.

  25. Good morning I deal with PDSD. I don't know about re-experiencing it unless your talking about therapy. I went through therapy several times and it was painful to relive those moments, but I am better for it. Not perfect, but much of the time better. Now, I'll go for days or weeks without being triggered, other times I deal with it daily. It brings me closer to God like In Paul's case. Paul prayed 3 time for God to take away a physical issue. Finally God said my grace is enough. I have dealt with this all my life and through reading the scriptures I found God saying to me to trust in Him, and focus on Him instead of the PTSD. James 1:2 say's, "Consider it all joy when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, and let that endurance have it's perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. That doesn't mean your PTSD will be healed. It may mean the God is using it to grow you to where he wants you to be, so He can use you to possibly help others with PTSD, or maybe He has another plan. In God's world nothing is a surprise to God, and as in Jer. 29: 11 -14, God says he has a plan for each of us. When I'm triggered and struggling, I praise God and thank Him, and see myself as blessed not to have something far worse to deal with.

  26. I recently saw a video about celebrities who were thanking God and touting their faith in public appearances such as awards shows where they are honored for their worldly accomplishments and it got me to thinking about Celebrity and the Word of God. So, since God didn't call me to preach about "Heathen Witch Doctors" (unless they become a problem for myself or anyone with whom I have contact), I'm going to get on the pulpit for a bit to talk about this disturbing phenomenon of Christians looking up to and admiring celebrities for their statements of Faith. At first I was just going to write a review there in the video section before I decided to make it into a full blown novella. That review read as follows: "It saddens my heart every time I see worldly celebrities give the credit to God for their sinful exploits. It is a sign of the times in which we live when Christians look u16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.p to sinful celebrities who are doing the work of the devil because they thank God for their success. I only remember a couple of those on the video as I couldn't watch to the end but the two I remember have a combined net worth of $120 Million dollars. I would be much more impressed if they would thank the Lord by giving $100 Million or so of that to the poor. And one of them is famous as the co-writer of Madonna's "Justify My Love" which was banned from MTV in 1990. It just makes me wonder where are we as Christians when we find ourselves praising the testimony of someone who wrote a song that was banned from MTV." I'm reminded of the story about when David Wilkerson (The Cross and the Switchblade) went to a Marlon LeFevre concert and went running out because he saw demons on the stage. For those not familiar with Marlon, he is the youngest of the Lefevre children from the "LeFevres" singing family who appeared on the "Gospel Singing Caravan" of the 50's and 60's and by the time that David Wikerson saw him had become a pioneer in "Christian Hard Rock" music. When I look at the shameless way these celebrities tout their Christian beliefs when their sinful lifestyle is anything but a testament of Faith, I kinda know how he must have felt. When I think of all the young children who were affected by the aforementioned filth of a video, I don't see a person who is walking with God despite what they say while they are receiving accolades for their shameless sinful and worldly successes. As many on here have probably already noticed I like to quote the teachings of Christ from the Scriptures so here,s what Jesus said Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7: 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 12 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Matthew 15 8.This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 19 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matthew 23 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. And that's just in Matthew! I'm getting tired but I hope the point is clear. While I do know that some of these celebrities do some good works, I can't see anything remotely Christian about their lives overall. I see people who have worldly fame and fortune that has been earned of men by engaging in their evil activities and I'm just flabbergasted when I see Christians admiring these people just because they profess Faith or thank God for their worldly success. It's my belief that as Christians should save our admiration for those who truly deserve it because of the way they live their lives and what they did or do to follow Christ and honor God (People like Peter, Paul and Silas, and all those who followed in their footsteps) and not waste it on someone who you only know because of their celebrity earned by doing the devil's work. I said God didn't call me to preach on heathen witch doctors. What He called me to do was to share the Gospel to a lost and dying world. He called me to show His love at every opportunity to make someone's life a little better. And He called me to discern and expose evil everywhere I see it (especially when it's infiltrated the Church). So I'm calling this as God as leads me and I sincerely hope that it might actually open the eyes of anyone who has fallen for this fallacy. If nothing else, if there are any official members of their fan clubs, send them a note telling them you'd love to see their Faith put into action by giving a few more million to those in need. (You just never know, God does work in wonderful and mysterious ways)

I jumped on you wrongly for getting political but when I reread your entire text, I realized that wasn't your intention. All I can say is I guess I just focused on the end and given my strong views on the matter took it out on you when you didn't deserve it. There's no excuse for such shortsightedness on my part. All I'll say is that "While Honesty is Always the best policy, sometimes insanity is a better defense" so I'll go with that. Sorry and God Bless.

  29. WTS/JW teach it. I do not, as it is gross error, and I cited the verse from their own NWT and the KJB to demonstrate that it is direct violation of one of the clearest scriptures on Jesus' resurrected and glorified body. as a P.S. here is another very clear text to show them: Isa_26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. In fact, in the NWT they had to change this verse in order to make their doctrine work.

  34. Hi Keny! I know that many things are difficult as you go through the teen years. But it is very important to realize that the issues you face are just as real as the issues for everybody else. Fears, temptations, doubt, sense of failure, boredom. All of your peers at school experience the same things. All of the old guys and gals on this forum experience the same things. Above all is the need to be loved, truly loved as you are. None of us are good enough, all of us have this fear that if other people knew who we really were they would not like us, not a chance they would love us. And Satan wants to make sure that is true, so he is always encouraging people to despise each other. And he has the power of Law to do it. You can see a lot of that on this forum, people bashing each other over the heads in the name of law (rules). But God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him can get eternal life. This means we are all on the same ground. If we are saved from being damned by God, then it is only because God is loving (real love, too, not the twisted stuff people dream up). This means that God Loves You, Keny. Those of us who have been around life for too long can tell you - it is hard sometimes, but you can choose to believe that you are not only OK, but LOVED and lovable. Even withh all the stupid stuff you do that you don't tell anyone. We all have that stuff. Find some real people that are willing to talk about who they really are, and show real love to each other. Real love is in 1 Corinthians 13, and it is really amazing. Gently ignore the people who haven't yet become real. Learn to embrace the boredom. You are most likely to actually hear from God when nothing exciting is happening. You actually can find a nice peaceful place inside yourself when you quit trying to be entertained all the time. God might join you there.

  35. Seems reasonable, Debp. Its also a fact that a lot of what he owns, was given to him. For example, he has some type of Lodge, and quite a bit of property.... He is usually seen in this place, when he does his morning program. This place was gifted to him. Someone said to me one time...."why should the Devil's people have all the money". And someone else stated... "It costs to reach the lost, and not just your time". I have no issue with a believer being rich, and neither does God. In fact, the more money you have, the more money you can spend to help, to love, to bless. So, it really does come down to heart motive and self control and application of finances. It very well could be that there are more rich Christians who are totally sold out to the Lord, who give most of it into the work of God, as compared to online forum believers, some who dont have a lot of money, and give none of it to help the poor or even tithe. They see a dirty and worn person standing outside in the August Heat, near a Red Light, holding a sign that says "hungry", and the one thought they have is...>"get a job". God would know the actual numbers, in both cases, but i can know its true.

  36. Why do you feel the need to take such a wonderful sentiment such as the one put forth in the original post and make it into something political much less question who really does and doesn't deserve our help? Christ didn't tell us to grumble about where the Government spends our money nor can I find where he told us to choose which of the poor are really worthy of the help He taught us to give so freely. So, while I believe that in a Democracy, we have the right to vote for our leaders and should do so based on how we feel they stand on the things that Christ taught, I just think it ruins the sound Scriptural based sentiment that was the beginning of this discussion when you turn it political. My friend, NO politician has the answers, only God! So, since the original intent of this post wasn't in any way political, I would only suggest that the political angles have a place for discussion but this just doesn't seem to me to be it.

  38. Like our dear sister Maryjane said, "this would be funny if the subject weren't so serious." As of this moment 1,392 views, so this is addressed to the approximately 1,385 that are watching, but have not participated. This discussion can be cleared up with just one verse from the New Testament, a verse that so far has not been quoted: But the Anointing (Holy Spirit) which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His Anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him. 1 John 2:27 Dear ones, are you in doubt, confused, questioning, ...then listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you in your heart, ...is it, "Yes, yes I said this," or "No, no, I have never taught this." Lord bless

  39. I would hope you mean thinking on the trauma, and not somebody actively recreating it. Near as I know, it's for the sake of closure. If you can set it all in order, you can sort of "file it away," if that makes sense. Without it being understood or organized, it's just kind of strewn all over your desk, and interferes with other things. I can't pretend to be a psychologist though, much less pretend like psychology is an all-knowing, unmistaken science. Pray to Jesus if you need healing, and keep in mind, many wounds take time and effort to heal.

  40. So here in the UK we are constantly hearing about so called martyrs for islam so are you saying we should believe in them more as they have a better press secretary ? Knowing the names/dates /times etc of people who have been put to death for refusing to renounce Christ is not my place GOD KNOWS that is all that matters. What matters more to each individual is "WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU HAVE TO CHOSE BETWEEN THIS LIFE AND CHRIST ? "

Seriously though ....why attack “ a man of god” who is only trying to emulate the Apostle Paul—- any serious Bible Student knows that Paul traveled throughout Asia Minor in a gold embossed chariot equipped with a Rolex sun- dial......... Shame on this “ Green Fly Of God”

  42. That is correct David. But the Bible tells us this would happen in the very end times.

  44. I sure would not want to be in his judgement. The Bible says that those who teach the word of God will be judged more severe for not preaching God's word correctly.

  46. Kenneth Copeland is on the list of false teachers so I would not support his ministry.

  47. First of all, I have seen the videos and they are very well made. Actually one of our members, a young Christian, made them and posted them. He was so excited in trying to do something to help reach young people and others. Now I'm glad those celebrities were from their hearts thanking the Lord for their good success! They did not simply thank God but gave mini testimonies of faith in Christ as Savior. If you saw Denzel Washington speak at a college, giving an address to the students....he told them of his faith and that he never would have the success he has without the Lord in his life! I have seen Denzel Washington some years ago telling a talk show host that he has read the Bible three times through already (as of that date). His way of giving a witness. Also, you probably don't realize it, but some of these actors never do a dirty movie. About them giving to the poor, etc (you didn't think they do that)....well, our works of charity should be private. Most don't want to blab about their giving. Actually, I know someone who runs a big pro-life organization....I learned from them that Jim Caviezel and Patricia Heaton are big supporters of their pro-life group. Another Christian celebrity gave $250,000 for hurricane relief. Although many in Hollywood and the music field are not Christians.....there are some Christians, especially in Country music. So why don't we support them when they want to give glory to God? Isn't that a very good thing? I think it is.

  48. Great story. Experience is what God uses to grow us. We mature through hard times and trials. Your testimony is a true testament to that.
